Convenient, perfect location, friendly staff, quiet room. Bed was good. And there is a lovely small restaurant (olive and figue) on the other side of the road. Note that the room was a bit too small for second person, but that may depend on type of room.

I adored this place despite its many, many flaws. It’s like an ageing movie goddess, fading and fraying but still a joy. PROS - Good location - Safe neighborhood - Close to RER train station - Clean bedding - Good air conditioner - Good value - Front counter staff mostly helpful and friendly (A good touch of Manuel in one or two though) - Lift CONS - Very small but adequate rooms - Tiny shower. I’d stand outside, put my legs in one at a time to wash them, then squeeze myself in.... NB I am a bigger guy. - No bar fridge. Staff will keep your stuff in the fridges in ground floor. - No ice. - Train tunnel runs under the building can be heard and felt on lower floors. Didn’t bother us but might some. - NO ICE, sorry got carried away but it amazed me that there was no ice. - Shabby carpet - Dark corridors, you have to turn on the lights. - Could do with a clean in the corners, odd spots, etc. - Towel rack set up is awkward, a rack over the toilet Our issue: We had a broken extractor fan in the bathroom. Made it uncomfortable in the room. Reported it to front counter, checked later.... no record of the report.. reported it again, advised problem would be fixed next day....checked next morning.... advised that they had our report of a broken air conditioner.... explained that it wasn’t the air conditioner it was a broken extractor fan in the bathroom....advised it would take a number of days to fix that.... blah... they offered us the disabled room, which was a good room, but it was on the ground (closer to train line below) and it had no street view.

I stayed at the hotel for a weekend layover. I was looking for an affordable hotel in a safe neighborhood away from the touristy areas and away from yellow jacket protests. Loved the location, a short walk from Luxembourg Gardens. The manager was very nice and helpful in providing restaurant suggestions and getting me a table, because I am not fluent in French. The room was clean, bed comfortable...and it was very inexpensive.

My room seemed renovated but it was on the ground floor next to the street, and the windows were not of sufficient quality to keep out the street noise. I asked for a room change immediately, but they could not give me anything else, stating that due to renovations every other option will have noise. I could easily hear conversations people were having on the street. I liked the bathroom which had modern fixtures, and it had above average WiFi (compared to other French hotels). I have to admit the small breakfast was low quality but easy to fix, e.g, by providing better coffee. The hotel location is nicely located near the Latin Quarter, Pantheon, Sorbonne, etc., and you can walk up to Saint-Michele Notre-Dame. Hint: When you arrive at CDG, you can take the RER B line to Luxembourg station, which has only two exits separated by 100 meters. Take the exit that is NOT for rue Gay Lussac (i.e., the street address of the hotel) for the shortest walk to the hotel.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel! I went with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary. The rooms are lovely and the staff are even nicer, we got to the hotel before our check in time so they took all our luggage and put it in their storage so we could go out. The hotel is beautifully done up, like something out of a book - it's all got a very elegant yet quirky style. When we came back to check in, we were given a room on the 6th floor (top floor) which we had no issue with. However when we got in a few minutes later the fire alarm went off, the lifts then stop working so we ran down 6 flights of stairs (we passed a painter and decorator on the way who didn't look bothered so it must have been set off by accident) but it shook us up a little bit. They swapped our room without so much as a question. For one night we were given a ground floor family room which you get to from the garden, they are very lush if you are thinking of booking for more than 2! Sadly, they had guests staying in there the next night so we got a room on the first floor which I had no troubles with. It was on the main road side of the hotel but I never got woken up by any noise so that's nothing to worry about. We got breakfast included which was served from 7:30 to 10:30 I think, they had a nice continental selection, lovely dining area and always someone there to refill the buffet. Croissants, pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juice etc, I thought for the price it was very good. One member of staff in particular spoke basically fluent English, she was amazingly helpful. Everyday we'd ask them directions to wherever as the people at the buses and metro are pretty useless. She looked them up and wrote them down for us everyday and we never had an issue with getting anywhere thanks to her! They seemed genuinely caring, one older man warned us of lots of pickpockets near the Sacre Coeur when we told him we were going there and said to be careful in crowds which I thought was very lovely of him. This hotel is situated in a great location - Port Royale is the closest metro stop, you turn out the hotel and walk right to the main road and it's straight from there so you can't get lost! Jardin de Luxembourg is a 5/10 minute walk at most, I definitely recommend giving it a visit, it's really beautiful. Pantheon, Notre Dame and the river aren't too far either, maybe 10/15 minutes away. The hotel is close enough to walk to many things but far enough that the area is very peaceful and we had no trouble which I was a bit wary of being in Paris. Shop virtually opposite and more cafes than you could ever visit, a bus stop at the top of the road and quite a few not so fancy restaurants nearby. On our last day we realised there is a restaurant directly opposite with a Michelin star! It's really hidden so unfortunately we never tried it, most the restaurants nearby were a bit rubbish, we tried a different one every night. but they were all very casual, burger

Visiting from Geneva we spent three nights in the top floor 2-bedroom apartment. It is really very nice, the best we've ever had in Paris in fact. Balcony with sufficient room for three to have a meal, facing the courtyard. Bedrooms face the other side on the side street. Nicely appointed, modern amenities. Air conditioning. The kitchen has a large fridge and is quite well appointed. We could cut up some fruits in the morning to enjoy and keep a bottle of Champagne cool for early evening. Very friendly and discreet staff. The one negative thing one might want to note is the quality of the sofa, which is not very comfortable, perhaps simply because it's also a bed sofa. Overall we'd be very happy to stay here again. This is way above the norm in Paris and is highly recommended.

The hotel was chosen for the last two nights in Paris. The big reason is transportation. It took a minute to get out of the subway. When I first came, I was a little disappointed. My wife was too young, and there were so many tramps on the street. There was no such thing as the Lafayette that I lived in before. But on the night of the stay, I felt full of enthusiasm and kindness. In the evening, I went to the hotel door and there was a glass security door. The security guard inside must open the door to enter, and suddenly feel very safe. Then the front desk service was also very enthusiastic, and the young lady took the initiative. Breakfast is also good, and it is a glass room facing the street, quite a feeling. But the room was really small, and it was a bit difficult to put the two boxes. Going back one day, I just met the big sister who cleaned and gave her the prepared 2 euro tip. She was very happy. Well, the whole is good. The picture is the breakfast environment.

Out of the hundreds of hotels in Paris how to you possibly pick one - with a leap of faith I picked this one and had no regrets - a hidden gem this cute boutique hotel was in a great location not far from the metros/bus but far enough that it wasn’t too touristy (I’m thinking the fact that there were the schools nearby which lead to that feeling with students all around which also can assume makes the area more affordable as well) each room has its own unique theme (we stayed in the chamber Musique) the room utilized the space well and it didn’t feel too small - considering we were in Europe I found in quite spacious. Also the shower was amazing - if I can’t have a hot tub, shower heads all around me is the next best thing. As for the staff they were all amazing, helpful, friendly and excellent communication skills - I have no idea how many languages they all spoke but I heard several for sure - being English speaking I had no issues whatsoever. Would totally recommend this hotel and should the opportunity ever arise to return to Paris I’d have no hesitation to stay here again.

This was our second visit to the Monte Cristo hotel. It is in a great location, only a 20/30 minute walk to the river or the Gardens of Luxembourg. There is a great restaurant which is actually part of the hotel over the road called The Grand Dictionnaire - I highly recommend visiting - the food & service is great! We had such a lovely welcome when we arrived, the lady on reception also upgraded our room for us. Due to CV-19 we had to book private 45 minute swimming slots, which I actually much preferred than having to share the pool with others, which we did on our previous visit! The rooms are a little on the small side, but it’s not an issue - you really feel like you’re staying in a chic Parisian boutique, and it’s just so beautifully decorated & very clean! The beds are super comfy & the linen is perfect. Thank you to all the staff at Monte Cristo hotel for making our trip to Paris even more magical! We will be back!

It is near Raspail station. Google Maps informs you that Exit 1 is the only exit, but you don't have to cross the street if you come out at Number 2. When checking in, I was informed that I can pay the city tax when I check out, and the elevator has a strange half floor. 2 1/2 story and so on...You have to get off and go down or up the middle floor. A lot of people say that the room is small, but it's actually small. But it was okay for me even if it was small because I used one room alone. The suitcase was 26 inches long, but I had to lift it once and move it to the window, but I was very sad that there was no space that could not be pushed aside. Heater operated normally and it was not difficult to operate, and DND was well observed and good But when you turn on the heater, it gets very dry in the morning. It would be nice to have a humidifier. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom and it was most inconvenient without a hairbrush. Amenity was a good brand, but I was surprised because it smells like a cigar! The heater worked well, but when turned on, the inside of the room would be too dry, so it would be good to have a humidifier. Personally, I think I will use this hotel for my next trip to Paris because it is close to the subway station, and is in the 14th district, which is very safe. I'll reserve a bigger room next time.

The hotel location is very good, very close to the Arc de Triomphe, a five minute walk to the subway station can also take a direct bus to and from Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport. Facilities breakfast also fully reached the four-star standard, the gym is relatively small. The front desk is more enthusiastic. There is a little brother who can speak Chinese, which makes communication more convenient.

Stayed at the B&B hotel for three nights while visiting Disney. Anyone looking for a cheap place to stay this is perfect. Hotel is spotlessly clean, really friendly staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and shower room. The hotel serves a simple dinner of pasta or pizza which is great, easy to order and quick to come. Breakfast is simple but just want you need at the start of the day. Tables were cleared quickly and everything very clean and presented well. We were worried about the shuttle overcrowding but there are a few services which only run from the B&B hotel and others which go to the other four hotels on the complex which makes it easy. We always got on a bus even if it was busy and never had to wait long! Lockers are available to store luggage if your arrive before your room is ready or check out early. We will be back on our next disney trip!

For the first time in a hotel model, the century-old building is said to be a historical cultural relics protection unit in Paris, so it is completely banned. My old cigarette can only smoke in a small yard. Miss Luo is very enthusiastic, let us have the feeling of going home. There is a black guy in night shift who speaks Chinese very well. He said that he read a book in Guangzhou. In the morning, the girl named Marty also speaks Chinese. There is no problem at all, and at the same time give us a lot of advice on the tour, much stronger than those that are not reliable. It is very convenient to exit the subway 50 meters away. This area is a safe place for French people to live in. The room is big enough to be the floor-to-ceiling glass window in Europe. Our bedroom is very close to the yard, so the living room is a bit noisy. It is highly recommended to add a Chinese breakfast. It is really not suitable for those cheese breads, and it is better to have Chinese TV. If you have the opportunity to come back to Paris, you will still come to the Paris Residence.

Good location, nearby Carrefour, franprix and other supermarkets! I live on the 2nd floor facing the street, and it is very quiet at night, but the sound insulation between the room and the room is really average. The room is not large and has a balcony (not every room, so it is best to leave a message to tell the room with a balcony when booking) ), There is also a door in the bathroom sharing a balcony with the room, so the balcony is quite large. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. Slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. Lines 7 and 10 are only 5 minutes' walk from the surrounding area. Line 4 is about 15 minutes away. The 5th district is a Latin area, surrounded by universities, so it is safe! The hotel has access control locks, staff need to help open the door to enter! Breakfast is an ordinary western-style breakfast, bread, milk, eggs, oatmeal, sausage and cheese. A tax of 1.88 euros per person per night, which must be paid to the front desk when checking out. This Ctrip will also call you when you are in China to inform you that this tax must be paid to the hotel separately! The hotel provides free wlan, but the Internet speed is average, the room has air conditioning and heating. In short, the price is high!

We got a beautiful Junior Suite with Balcony, even in the city and on a street with traffic located, it was very quiet and you couldnt hear anything from outside while the doors are closed. It is very spacious and with a very pretty bathroom with luxury amenities from Hermés! And of course full equipped mini bar with Nespresso coffee machine. The breakfast is delicious and a mix from a la carte and buffet, what I love. So you can have everything what your heart desire. The best is the amazing Akasha Spa!! It is so big and has everything, big indoor pool, big sauna, big steam bath, big jacuzzi and a cold bath. Even if they are many relax beds to lay on, sometimes you are just alone and its like you have a private spa. Friendly and helpful staff all around the hotel! I definitely will return!
