The location of the hotel is very convenient. I love the warming welcome of hotel staffs. Even thought the hotel is not new, but the cleanliness level was good. I have trouble sleeping and the bed was clean. There are constructions nearby, but there was no disturbance.

I had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). Besides charging me $170 to use the TV in the conference room but then reducing the cost after I complained the Four seasons is always perfect. Proxy vut always well worth the cost when on a business trip. They have all the facilities and go beyond on service.

Location drew me to Establishment, situated near some of my favourite restaurants in Sydney and close to the venue where I was doing business. Establishment delivers for location. I also chose Establishment for a little bit of luxury to break a heavy work schedule and it did not live up to expectation. It seems to be a great party crash hotel for the bucks/hens night with few services that really speak to the time poor luxury business traveller. It’s beautifully styled with a comfortable bed, but that is about the limit. It’s the services and the quality of the room features that let it down. No 24 hour room service and a menu that is not reflective of the quality of the food precinct it’s situated in. (I went out to get an excellent take away breakfast that I brought back to my room rather than order anything from the scant breakfast menu that looked like a take away menu). I left my computer power charger at home, but concierge could not help me with one to borrow or ideas on where I could buy a replacement. The bath is very narrow and not much hot water - I boiled the kettle to get it a bit warmer. Hunter products in the bathroom but there was no hair conditioner and few of the little luxuries that you would expect in such a stylish bathroom such as extra towels, make up mirrors/lighting, an extra soap for the bath. The room fittings are pretty tired and scuffed up. It’s certainly ready for a bit of a renovation/ refresh. The carpet looks like it’s seem some amazing parties. The room, particularly the bathroom, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The bathroom shower curtain was really dirty and needs to be replaced. Lots of marks on the walls and scuff marks on furniture - looks tired and a bit worn out. There is no dedicated space to work for business travellers, other than a long table near the window but I had to sit on the bed. Inside the lift the small seating looks like it had seen some parties as well and not clean enough to sit on. No hand sanitiser anywhere. This was the most expensive room rate for the CBD area I wanted to be in, and the result was disappointing. As a lover of boutique hotels, I was looking forward to staying here, but based on this experience I won’t return and can’t recommend this one.

The main thing going for this hotel is the location. We booked a deluxe two bed apartment and the view was spectacular. We were here for vivid and we had an amazing view of the opera house and bridge. That’s the positive out of the way! For the first two days of our stay there were dirty plates left on the floor at the lifts! We ended up taking bets on how long they would remain there. After 2.5 days the plates were removed but pieces of chocolate brownie remained on the carpet. On day one we dropped some potato chip crumbs on the lounge floor. They were there for our entire stay. The toilet was awful with urine stains around the base and a peeling toilet seat! Do not eat breakfast here. We waited close to an hour each day. The hotel photos of the continental breakfast could not be more misleading. No pasties or croissants no meats cheese or yoghurt. Lots of tiny tiny jars of Bircher muesli There is no hot food buffet, actually there is no hot food! Everything we ordered from the al a carte menu arrived cold. The kitchen is in the other side of the lift foyer so your food goes for a walk along the hallway before reaching you. Why not place a cloche over the plate to keep food warm?? Would not stay there again. It just felt dirty

This is an amended review to highlight the ongoing lack of communication from the hotel. It is fair to say that the hotel had some great things going for it but, sadly, customer support is not one of them. Breakfast was excellent and the roof top Aster bar was a great place to enjoy a cocktail and see some spectacular sunsets. However, the whole thing was let down by extremely lacklustre support from the management down. My wife lost her glasses in the hotel. They are prescription reading glasses in very distinct designer frames and were in a sparkly gold box. We asked at the desk during check out if they had been found and were told that they had not been handed in but that reception would check with the Aster bar, where we believe they had been left but was closed at the time of check out. We were due to be in Sydney again in 4 days and the receptionist took all the details and a description of the glasses and case and said that she would email me to give me an update. Sadly we didn’t hear back. Four days later when we returned to Sydney we checked back at the hotel there was no note against our booking and the duty receptionist said nothing could be done but was unable to confirm if a check had been made in the Aster rooftop bar. I asked to speak to the duty manager and an Irish lady, whose name I sadly didn’t get, came out to speak to me. She was very apologetic and said it was not the normal standard we should expect from the hotel and promised to speak to the Aster staff and that she would get back to me by email before the end of the day. Sadly, no further communication was forthcoming and a follow up email to the hotel remains unanswered. We realise that the loss was our fault but the lack of interest from the staff and unfulfilled, empty promises from the management would definitely deter us from staying there again. It would appear that the management have no interest in fostering customer satisfaction.

The transportation is convenient. It takes about 5 minutes to the Sydney Opera House. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Darling Harbour. The room is relatively large and has a small balcony, which is also very comfortable (you can see the night view and buildings outside when you open the window). The room facilities are a bit outdated Everything else is good, but you can also feel the traditional British display

There aren't many basic facilities in the room.. Such as indoor slippers and mineral water (this price is not cheap, even the water is not willing to give.. too much!!!!) I wanted to live here and I could have a view of the opera house.. but not at the same price, I can live in a good hotel. Then because of the encounter with the vivid Australia festival... The road was sealed... I called the front desk to help me call the car to the airport, and specifically asked her where to wait (I know the road seal)... As a result, she was completely unaware of it. Call me at the hotel.. The result is that the car can't come in... It also delayed my time... Finally, they didn't help at all... I have to drag my bulky luggage to the road to call the car. 😡😡😡 In summary, there is no need to live here... The same geographical location, there are many other options😎

Stayed for first 4 nights whilst visiting Australia. Chose the hotel as it is in a decent location, ( 5 min walk to Circ Quay, plus easy for Rocks, Darling, central area for Hyde Park etc), reasonable cost and the fact they allowed early arrivals into your booked room - availability allowing. We arrived at 7am after a 26 hour flight - and our room (7th floor) was available - allowing us to grab a few hours kip. We didn’t realise that it overlooked Australia Square, which is lively & loud Mon - Fri.. Not a problem on the first night as we’re so tired. The following day we asked if we could be moved, not a problem, we were moved to a quieter room (14th floor) & upgraded at no additional cost. The room was lovely - as were the breakfast’s each morning. I cannot fault the quality of the hotel, cleanliness, friendliness and willingness to help by all the staff. Would I return? Most definitely. 😁

Overall room was clean, however the USB port in the bedroom did not work, the alarm clock was not set and had an extremely annoying buzz, resulting in I had to unplug it anyway. The directions to the parking was extremely poor, no mention of a lift being used or what to expect. I suggested a flyer could be done to answer any questions for customers needing to use the car park service. There was little to no engagement of the staff about this and were only able to restate the poor information that was already given. I felt like a number and not a paying customer. It would seem your attention to details is lacking, and this would flow down from management to floor staff.

We always stay here when we go to the hospital. If you call and book that way you can get hospital rates, if that’s where you’re going! So accomodating, and they’re more than happy to go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable. Parking is convenient and there’s plenty of it. Such a convenient location, we stay there when we have things at the public and private hospital. Close to bus stops, the station and great food locations. The Thai a few doors up is amazing. Also the restaurant attached to the motel is great!

Firstly the positive points of our stay: -The hotel is in a good location close to public transport -Reception staff were friendly -The layout of the room was good with lots of storage for the size Unfortunately our stay was heavily tainted by a couple of issues with the room which were that the air conditioning was not working for our entire multiweek stay and even though we told staff multiple times from early in our stay that it was not working and we were told we were wrong or that it had been resolved when it definitely had not. Additionally the room needed a better clean, it was surface clean but the carpet was still dirty (walking around in socks it'll turn your socks dirty colour) and shower wasn't cleaned. The bathroom door was very hard to open as the rollers must not be hung properly.

Absolutely terrible service. I booked this place before an early flight from Sydney the next morning and it was a last minute trip due to the rain storms in NSW that weekend. During a 5 hour train journey from Albion Park (that should actually take 1.5hrs) it became clear that we weren't going to make the midnight check in time, as landslides meant we had to take a bus replacement service. I tried multiple times to contact the hotel but to no avail and so I requested a free cancellation. I didn't get another response until nearly midnight on the day of the booking, by which point I had obviously booked another place to stay. The response said that I couldn't cancel for free as it was within 24 hours of booking. The response failed to address that I had requested to cancel within 15 minutes of booking and that I only cancelled on the basis that I wasn't going to be able to get there for their check in restrictions due to the adverse weather. Funnily enough it looks like we missed a treat with the amount of reviews that mention cockroaches crawling over the beds!! I've tried about 10 times since to contact this place and have had not one response regarding this. Truly dreadful service & such a shame that it's tainted our holiday experience. DO NOT GIVE THIS CORRUPT BUSINESS YOUR MONEY! F**k you Cambridge Lodge.

We spent a very comfortable night in a double room with ensuite. The building is old and full of character, with creative uses of space. The bed was clean and we slept extremely well. The best part was the friendly welcome. Our hostess could not have been more helpful and kind. She made sure we understood the access codes and asked about our trip. Surprisingly great location, a short walk to Burwood/Victoria Rds and fabulous Chinese restaurants. Burwood Park also close by. I thought being near the road would be noisy, but it was quiet and we slept undisturbed. It’s not fancy, but that didn’t matter at all. If you want fancy, you’ll be paying a lot more.

Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

We stayed in this hotel when it was under another banner and thought it was ok then. We decided to book the Comfy King this time, as the room we stayed in last time was very small. We found the comfy king a lot better and we had plenty of room. Seriously, the room is just to change and sleep in not to party. Under the Covid rules, It is not serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just ask at reception and they will help you out. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. And this hotel is 100m from Central Station, so transport was never a problem. We would definately stay here again.

I caught the train to Circular Quay, where the Opera House and Harbour Bridge is. Then walked up many, many stairs to get here. Well worth it. Very modern, even though it's built over an archaeological site of part of the old Rocks area. Beautifully done and preserved. Room was very modern and clean, albeit expensive for a double ensuite room. But i did not mind paying for the location and cleanliness. Bathroom modern and clean. Lockers available for long term hire. I can not rate it highly enough The rooftop of this hostel!!?? Absolutely second to none. Perfect views of the Opera House, Bridge and harbour

It feels like the hotel is a little old house, there is no elevator, and it is not friendly to people with a lot of luggage. I stayed for three nights, except for the pain of moving luggage, and the foreigner's service attitude was ok. However, it started to rain the next day, and when I slept, I found that there was a little water dripping from the ceiling on the bed. Although there were not many, the sleeping position was much smaller. We told the front desk the next morning and they said they would help us change a room. Because we were in a hurry to go out, we didn't let them change immediately, but when we came back in the afternoon, we found that they had changed our rooms and moved everything from our original room to the new one. Their work efficiency is good, but since we didn't tell them before we went out that they need to help us move things, they took the initiative to move our unpacked or open luggage to a new room. In this way, when we picked up the luggage, we found that the luggage was messy (they simply covered the luggage with the zipper in the middle compartment), and took some time to rearrange it by ourselves. Although I didn't lose anything, I was still uncomfortable.

I’ll start with the positive, the woman on reception was really friendly and polite. That was it. The room was absolutely disgusting, I had to swat about 5 mosquitoes, and the walls were covered in squished bugs from previous tenants. The room itself was tiny, the ‘en suite’ was like Harry Potter’s bedroom. Sheets were just thrown on the bed and we had to put them ourselves (boo hoo). No towels were provided. The beds were made of concrete. The walls were paper thin and unbelievably co**** which when getting down from the bunkbed I grazed my arm. Other tenants just pile out into the street making the place look so uninviting. I feel sorry for actual residents on that street it must be hell. In the reception area, they left the dirty laundry basket that was FILLED with bloody tissues just out in the open for guests to see. If you want a good night sleep don’t go here. If you want to just listen to loud club music against your will maybe this is the place for you.

The door locks, switches and window styles in the room are very retro, the public bathroom is very clean and has no odor, and it can also be bathed inside. Although there are many other guests in the building, the room is soundproof. Foreign hotels generally do not charge a deposit. Since we had to catch the plane on the second day, we got up at 4 in the morning and put the key in the staff window when we left the store.

This may not be your regular 4 or 5 star hotel. Let's face it, the rooms are pretty small BUT they're incredibly compact, extremely comfortable, well-presented and extraordinarily clean. In fact, the entire hotel is so scrupulously clean, I knew if my mother were still alive, she'd be declaring the floors so clean ”that you could eat your dinner off them”. Plus, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professionally friendly. Situated very close to Sydney University and RPA Hospital, there's an express bus-stop to the city right outside the hotel's door, as well as a plethora of shops, pubs, cafes, bars & restaurants within easy walking distance. Onsite undercover parking is also available, but limited - so if you need it, book your space as soon as you can. In summary, Best Western Camperdown Suites is, in these financially difficult times, is indeed fantastic value for money.

Always good vibes in here, the nicest people. Great location near the beach and the center of Manly. Lots of activities to meet new people and an amazing breakfast made every morning by cool people who get creative to amaze as every time with the menu. I love how clean they keep the place and the kitchen and bathrooms always in good conditions. There's yoga classes almost every day and a cinema room available to chill any time. There are fun parties almost every weekend. Very complete service! Very much recommended!

We need to take a rest overnight in Sydney, because the arrival is late, and the departure is early. I meant to book a hotel near the airport, and the homepage says the shuttle airport shuttle is set. As a result, it was only available during the day of consultation. I do n’t know. Fortunately, I contacted Ctrip customer service to solve the problem perfectly. I asked the customer service to call for a car the next morning, but after waiting for 50 minutes, I almost missed the plane. And as other friends have said, to use a credit card as a deposit, what kind of damage can we do in the middle of the night to leave early in the morning? I really do n’t trust myself!

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. Because I liked it, I ordered a third order, which is quiet and comfortable, and makes people enjoy life especially! Very close to UNSW, just a few minutes walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Sydney for the NYE celebrations. Hotel is very easy to access with the L2 light rail directly opposite the hotel taking you right in to the CBD. But because it’s a bit further out in Randwick, the price is much more affordable, especially on NYE! Even on NYE we had not trouble getting in and out of the CBD and was very easy. Also not far from the airport so an Uber was pretty cheap for a flight home. Our room was the first one as you enter the hotel. There is no soundproofing, so we heard everyone coming and going and conversations in reception. We could also hear the toilet being flushed above and even the pedestrian crossing beep outside. Therefore, I would definitely request a room at the rear. Apart from the noise, everything else was good. The room was spacious for 3 adults, with comfy beds and decent shower. Tea/coffee and fridge, iron and hairdryer in room. Large TV and good WiFi. There’s a communal kitchen with laundry facilities if you need it and a lovely courtyard area for chilling out. We had a daily room service and towels changed each day. Location is good with plenty of choice for eating locally and 15-20 min walk to Coogee beach. I actually walked from the hotel to Coogee and then on the coastal path to Bondi and back, which was excellent. We would stay again, but not in the same room due to the noise.

I've stay there quite a long time during the 2021 year and I was feeling like I was at home. The number of guest was very low because of the Covid. The staff is nice and the small size of the hotel makes it feels as a second home. I've got good memories from this place

Because the thunderstorm weather Sydney Airport was all closed, the hotel was urgently fixed that night, but it was really worth it! High cost performance, large room, large terrace, kitchen utensils, can cook, but the cooking fumes are careful, the fire alarm will ring, we will sound 2 alarms when cooking, there is a hotel security officer I ran up to see the situation and didn't say anything. We felt very embarrassed. I can eat on the terrace (Figure 1-2), and my mom gave a hearty breakfast (Figure 4). The B1 floor of the hotel elevator is the food supermarket (Figure 4). It is quite big, the dishes are very fresh, and you can do it by buying a round-trip hotel room downstairs. There is a passage at the entrance of the food supermarket. It is the road, and the road is just opposite Bondi Beach. It is very close.
