The hotel is in a particularly suitable location in Santa Monica Beach. The distance to the beach is very close to the sunset every day, and there is no particularly noisy hotel near the beach. The hotel is clean and warmly furnished. The shutters and air conditioners are all great designs. The surrounding large and small supermarket restaurants are very convenient, especially the free parking is too convenient. The hotel's own underground parking is convenient and safe. Will definitely stay here next time I visit LA!

The cheaper hotel swimming pool is generally very convenient to eat and go to the most famous spots to walk for 10 minutes.. OK.. Convenient transportation is the biggest advantage. The cash machine downstairs can only extract 100 yuan at a time.. There is a laundry room but I don’t know where there is washing powder.. The hotel is a bit small

Started out looking for something cheap, but not ghetto and landed at this little jewel right off Santa Monica Blvd. and a mile from some friends I was visiting. Accommodated my very late check-in (previously arranged of course) and provided me with a very clean, quiet and cool trip back into time... Circa 1972, Pismo Beach Motor Court by the pier, right down to the big tile squares on the floor (just sweep the sand out right).\, plaster walls and the tiny little "cement shower stall", only so much cooler! The colors are lovely, the plaster is textured with intention, fixtures are updated, etc. I will absolutely come and stay "on purpose" so I can dream about the last summer I spent in Pismo, next to the pier, with a bunch of cousins and friends. Maybe I'll come up with some new memories that include the Palm Motel! And Jacob, one of the managers is AWESOME! Thanks Palmians!

This hotel is in a good location. The street behind is a commercial pedestrian street. It takes 3 minutes to get to the beach, but the hotel is very old, but clean, but the room is too small, 2 suitcases can not be opened at the same time, the bathroom is also small and simple. The wooden structure of the room was awakened by the footsteps in the morning, which affected sleep. However, there was no breakfast on Ctrip, but the hotel lobby had simple bread and coffee juice and water, and it was full, and overall it was not worth 1400. Stayed for two nights and decisively moved to the Cal Mar hotel, which is 2-3 times larger than here. I can buy food and cook. The price is cheaper than this. It is also 3 minutes to the beach, also on the pedestrian street.

Hotel facilities are not good, and there is too much difference with domestic Amy. There is no electric kettle, no toothbrush and toothpaste, no slippers (there are two pairs of waiters looking for the waiter, I don’t know if I forgot to put it), the toilet exhaust fan is all dirty, I can see that it has not been cleaned for a long time. Everything else is ok. Parking is free of charge. Just pay a little tip for valet parking. It’s just too conscience to pay a few tens of dollars compared to the parking lot and other hotel parking fees. The hotel has a small balcony that opens to the sea.

The location is particularly good, just off Santa Monica Beach and not far from the pedestrian street. The law and order nearby is also good, although many tramps, but they are not as aggressive as LA. By the way, there is a place near the hotel that can take a bus to LAX Airport. As long as 1.25 knives, the car is also very safe. The cabinet was placed in a 22-inch large suitcase, which was well received, but the compatriots who went to the foreign youths remember to bring a small lock. The only thing that made people uncomfortable was that when I checked in, I was not a member of the Alliance. I asked for the cost of 4 US dollars. I didn't tell me when I placed the order.

1. We bought this hotel at that time and it was clear that parking was free and then there was no breakfast. Later we checked in that night and told us to pay $ 17. It was the breakfast fee, parking fee, wifi fee. I have to pay this money, I also find it very funny, and then the so-called breakfast is to give you a few cakes and drinks, nothing else. The point is that you must pay the price of $ 17. It feels like you are in a pit. It is clear that Ctrip did not explain these costs. It was only when I discovered that I had to pay. It was really furious.

This hotel is just a short walk from Santa Monica Pier. The street near the pier is full of restaurants and bars, as well as Santa Monica Place and 3rd Street. If there is not much time, it is recommended to stay at this hotel and then shop nearby. Buying is very convenient. We also watched the Venom, which was just released in the US at AMC on 3rd Street. Of course, the price of the goods here is much more expensive than the outlet. The hotel can pay for parking. The overnight tax includes 47 knives. The entrance to the parking lot is at the entrance of the hotel. The first time it passes, it does not see a large circle. The hotel has another parking lot at the gate of the gate. It looks like it is less than 20 knives, and friends with few luggage can go there. To be honest, the service at the front desk of the hotel is quite thoughtful. When we arrived, the other party found that Ctrip’s information and their correspondence were not the same. The original was a twin room, but they only had King Size bed room, they arranged immediately. The sofa bed in the room department proved that King Size is too big, and it is no problem to sleep three people. Ctrip confirmed that it did not include breakfast, but the hotel said that they provided it, and gave us a breakfast bar. This is very good, very honest, and must be praised. However, the overall poor experience was the waitress in the breakfast department. After receiving the breakfast bar, she said that the breakfast had to be paid. The front desk felt very surprised and gave a second breakfast bar. The waitress did not confirm the breakfast. I didn't need to pay extra fees and I wanted to close my breakfast bar. I directly refused to let her communicate with the front desk. It was quite helpless to have breakfast. Obviously, I felt a little bit of a run on the Chinese, but I observed that she was very fast to the foreigners. In the end, our breakfast waited for half an hour before I was angry, and I didn’t pay a tip. During the period, other foreigners complained to the front desk that the food for the buffet breakfast was empty. Please add it immediately. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. It was the traffic in Los Angeles that was too scary. A few kilometers to the airport, I found a petrol station and added a little oil to go for 50 minutes. There were too many cars, stop and stop.

We stayed for Xmas and it was basically an empty hotel which was nice. Parking is convenient. Everyone was nice, we needed some plastic forks for our food and they had them at the desk. Due to Covid I assume no one can come to the room. When I when to use the restroom I had noticed that they had not replaced the toilet paper, not cool. Makes me wonder how CLEAN and sanitized it was. The out door patio is nice, and cool view for Xmas lights.

I can't say enough good things about the staff, the location, and the awesome deal that I found for this hotel on Trip.com! The location is INCREDIBLE-literally steps to the walking path that runs along the ocean. Restaurants/coffee/etc located within walking distance as well. Front desk woman that helped me (she was from my hometown-small world!) was SO sweet. She offered some complimentary beach towels when I mentioned going to the beach. Valet parking is a bit steep so be prepared for that. Valet workers were quick and polite. If I could find a similar deal again, I would stay here in a heartbeat! Oh, one con-walls are pretty thin.

The perfect Los Angeles seaside resort experience! The design of the room is super comfortable and it is invincible for shopping, dining and sightseeing. I went to several famous restaurants around and I was satisfied. Unfortunately, time is hastily, staying for a few more days. It was impressive to have provided a Chinese description of the hotel service at check-in. One thing that is unpleasant is that after returning, I found that the hotel parking has a repeated deduction. After several twists and turns, the hotel finally refunded the hotel.

When setting the navigation, you should set it according to the address. By name, the first guide is wrong. It leads to the Santa Monica City Hall. The actual two places are far away. The hotel is really expensive, the room is small, the facilities are average, there are mosquitoes, breakfast and other such breakfasts of Inn, Motel are almost the same, ok. This was my fourth year in a row staying at Shutters and it is officially my favorite hotel. I get top notch service and the staff is amazing. One of the things that stands out the most is a lot of the same staff is there each year I have been back and they remember me!! I wish I could remember names of them - I am ashamed I don’t, but this year when I left I gave the doorman a hug. It’s that kind of place ❤️ I can’t go without specifically mentioning Marco who is now a front desk manager and rightfully so! He is always so pleasant, courteous and is truly an asset to Shutters. It makes me wonder if he ever has a bad day. The location is perfect, rooms are perfect, I could go on. Each year I take a new picture to have as my phone background to remind me of my happy place. Attached are my favorite from this year!

So much to say about this place. The location is great. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from and just two blocks from the beautiful Santa Monica Beach. The motel staff couldn’t be more helpful or friendly and we have to mention Tom, who was super helpful and friendly. Being on a main road, I thought it maybe noisy but that wasn’t the case at all. The motel room had what we needed and we could borrow a kettle for our tea, from reception. It was very clean and if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. Would definitely stay here again.

Someone did a good job with the photos for this place because it is definitely not bright, white and airy w/ great views of the ocean. It's clean and serviceable, but I was looking for a nice place to hang out when not site seeing (this was during covid and fires so we knew we'd be spending time in our room). We were on the first floor, our patio did look on to the ocean but you could not see it because of the parking lot right in front of the hotel. I paid way more per night then this room or view was worth. I asked for an upper floor balcony but they only had a queen and we paid for a king with a kitchen. We did not really feel safe when outside. People would walk through the patio area, in front of the rooms, and out the locked gate. One night, someone in the parking area (metered parking right in front of our room) was blasting music until the police finally came by around midnight. We sat on the patio eating while we watched some guy go to every person who parked at the meter, he put in a coin on a string to fill their meter and then asked for money in exchange. The meter maids are militant, so watch out for that. We watched them give out several tickets in the times we sat outside eating. There were people on the patio in front of our room smoking despite the no smoking signs. Staff did not notice (the lobby is a room right by the front) and we had to tell people twice to stop smoking. The last night we were there, people who were staying on either side of us, were out in the front patio yelling to each other, smoking and talking loudly. There were people in the back garden area, right behind our window, smoking and listening to loud music. We finally called the front desk at 12:30am and he said he didn't hear anything but he'd go look. I have no idea how he couldn't hear unless their office is better sound proofed than our room (the walls were paper thin and you can hear your neighbors in your room). The noise then did stop. In the morning we complained to the front desk. He apologized and said security walks around 3x a night. Then he charged us $12 for the 3 bottles of water we got during our stay. In other words, he couldn't even comp us our waters for the unpleasant night before. This hotel would be doable if; they kept on top of unsavory randoms hanging around, they lower the price if they don't have the room type pictured available for your stay, if they spaced out the guests better. I can't imagine on a weeknight in the middle of covid that the hotel was so booked they had to book 3 rooms in a row!

The hotel was in a great location. I enjoyed my morning walk to the beach with no one around before everyone woke up. It was a short walk to the pier. 3rd Street Promenade was a few blocks behind it. I had a nice ocean view from the room. All the staff was very friendly. The rooftop restaurant offered great views and good food, however it was a little slow. It was too cold to use the pool, but it looked like a great set-up. As far as the room was concerned, it was nice, but it definitely didn't blow me away. You know it's an older hotel.
