We spent two nights here and we have nothing to complain. We had a standard twin room on the 7th floor. The room was spacious and clean and there was a big fridge instead of a minibar. The soundproofing was exceptionally good because there was a party in the room next to us but we heard almost nothing to our room. We spent my husbands birthday while we stayed here and the hotel had a special surprise for us; a nice gift and some sparkling wine! We really appreciated this gesture! Breakfast was really good and they had taken care of the safety of guests during this covid-19 pandemia in the restaurant. The department store downstair is a benefit and the location is really great next to everything. We would return!

Stayed here just one night before heading out to the Archipelago by bike. Very centrally located, just a couple of minutes walk from the River Aura and the main bars and cafes. Rooms are very spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Really nice, well-maintained kitchens with all the equipment you need, and good bathrooms and showers too. Very easy check in and check out with a code to collect and drop off your key. Highly recommended.

Breakfast is excellent. Staff is very friendly. And if you need something to eat, take a lift to first floor and you are in Lidl store. This is fantastic !

My first impression of the location of this hotel when I arrived on a Sunday was not great -- its immediate neighbourhood looked uninteresting. It took me a day to realize its really central location: 2 blocks from the market and shopping; the river and its many restaurants; one block from a grocery store, and a pleasant 15-minute walk to the University. I was especially lucky and received a free upgrade from the single standard room I had booked to a spacious three person room with a couch. The rooms don't have large windows, but feel comfy due to the warm light fixtures, plenty of storage space, nice bathroom, and the modern Nordic design style. I stayed for 4 nights and especially loved the breakfast buffet with six kinds of fish (lox, salmon, tuna, several kinds of herring), a delicious selection of bread, jam, fruit, cold cuts, granola, yogurt etc. The hotel is small and cozy, with really art, and a personal feel. There is a foli city bike stand right in front and electric scooters are also readily available in the town. I highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is gorgeous, everything looks and feels very luxurious. Except one thing. In our twin room the bathroom had a completely see-through sliding door with the toilet seat facing straight to the beds. It was basicly as if having no door at all to the bathroom - you could see, hear and smell everything from the bathroom, straight to the beds and sitting area. So whenever either one of us went to the toilet, we had to switch all the lights off and go to the bathroom in complete darkness in order to have any privacy there. This made no sense to pay almost 200€ per night for a twin room where you are not able to use the bathroom with any kind of privacy. We were close friends and felt this was very uncomfortable, I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be to share a room like this with someone you are not that close to. We complained to the reception about this and the receptionist did not seem to care at all that we were unhappy with our stay. She just told us that this is nowadays completely normal to see your friend on the toilet (??) as it is actually a huge trend all around Europe to have completely see-through bathroom walls in the room. Yes I have seen glass walls for bathrooms many times but none have been this horrible without any privacy. Why would they make a room like this or sell a room like this as anything else than single room is beyond me.

Scandic Plaza is your average, clean, safe hotel with very nice staff and good breakfast. It has one special benefit: parking. Parking hall Aimo Kivikukkaro is right next to the hotel and it's only 11 euros / 24h, if you are a Scandic club member (joining is free). You can drive in and out freely, very convenient! Just remember there are several Aimo-parkings nearby (I drove to the wrong one first). Turn from Humalistonkatu to Yliopistonkatu, it's an ending road.

Our stay started very well. On arrival at 12:15, we got an early check-in and an upgrade to a riverside room. We had booked a standard room with points and money (10.000 points and 83 euros). The breakfast was included. Our room was very stylish and practical and had nice river views. The only downside was a dog barking next door. The sound insulation was not the best. We had a lovely dinner with our friends at the hotel's Grill It restaurant. The breakfast next morning was crowded. I counted that this breakfast was our 71st hotel or ship breakfast during the pandemic and it was absolutely the unsafest. At the moment, restaurants in Finland can take only 75% of their capacity. However, here the rest 25% was not distributed evenly. It was very strange that the safest tables were blocked out. After a 3rd round around the restaurant, I found a big round table. It was located next to the buffet but it was the safest that could be found. After a couple of minutes, there came a coughing couple sitting next to us to a table that was blocked out. The distance was one meter. My advice to solve this problem is to carry the extra tables to storage and after that spread the tables evenly. Some of the people don't honor these quite invisible signs. It is the distance between the tables that is the most important thing in corona prevention. Also, the breakfast was so busy that many items were finished. No coffee was brought to the table as usually at Radisson breakfasts.

It is similar to the domestic fast hotel, but it is self-check-in. I hope that Ctrip will send the room number and password in time.

The location of the hotel is a little bit more, but you can get there by bus. There is a bus to the bus station not far from the hotel. The hotel's internal environment is very good and clean, and I was the first to see the trash can in the hotel is classified as garbage! There is a canteen in the lobby of the hotel, you can buy snacks, after all, is a large chain hotel in Northern Europe! The focus is on the breakfast is very rich, but also very good to recommend croissants small bread, after the out will be high temperature lights have been kept warm, so you are still hot when you eat. The machines in the juice area are also very special and can be experienced. Overall, the price is still quite high, that is, the bed is a little small... but still recommend this hotel!

This hotel is located in a two-storey downtown building that looks like an old office building converted into a hotel. They call it a hotel, but I think it's a hostel, because there are shared bathrooms also. To be honest, it's not absolutely terrible, but you're sure to find a hotel that's a few levels better with the rates they charge (such as the Omena Hotel or Hesehotelli). The corridors are creepy and full of stuff that doesn't belong there. Upon reservation, I was left under the impression that breakfast was included in the fee (96€/night, but this was because I booked only one day prior to arrival I suppose). When checking in, the young lady at the reception said that you have to pay for breakfast (15€...??) and reserve it beforehand. The sign-in procedure was also really strange. She looked up my name on a hand-written notepad with reservation names, handed me the key and pointed me to the general direction in where the room was located. Nothing else. No ID-checking, no credit card verification, nothing. Easy-peasy, but really odd. The room (entering using a simple physical key) was a 10m2 little closet with a tiny toilet/shower. It was also very cold - even after shutting the windows and turning the heater on 11, it was chilly. No floor heating either, so the concrete floor tiles were also really cold. The small single bed was soft and I guess it was cheap Ikea throughout. I didn't...well, couldnt put the TV on because I couldn't find a remote anywhere. Signing out was, uh.... easy too. Nobody in the reception, so you would just leave the key in a pot full of other keys and leave. Absolutely no paperwork during the whole visit. Zero. I guess you could call signing in and out "a breeze" however strange that may be. All in all... I'll steer clear of this in the future, and so should you.

Like other people have said, Ruissalo Spa is located in an excellent place. It is far enough from Turku center to really get some peace and quiet, but there is still a direct bus connection leaving from the front of the hotel, if you want to visit the city center. The folks in the hotel are primarily elderly, but there are also increasing amount of families with little children. This is quite a good match -- the little kids provide joy to the elderly folk, and they also show (almost with 100% certainty) affection to the little children. Taking walks around Ruissalo is an awesome experience, and I have to say that this is the best part of going there with kids. If you would be only interested in spa, you might be a bit disappointed, as the spa section of the hotel is rather small. (However, it is still very nice). I definitely recommend Ruissalo for all-round holiday getaway, with many possible activities that you can enjoy.
