The "Storm" arose after we got off the train and went directly to the Tourist Office to seek accommodation. They told us there was nothing available as everywhere was full! We trawled around town calling into likely places, always to be told they were fully booked. As a last resort, before going back to the station, we saw Hotel Cochemar Jung on the river front by the bridge. We went in and the very nice receptionist said they did have a room, albeit at a price! We were offered a look first but we just grabbed it and agreed the price. The room was on the first floor with a very nice balcony looking over the promenade and river. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom efficient and the breakfast was excellent, served by nice friendly people. The weather was glorious and we really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. It was a bank holiday weekend in Cochem, hence the dearth of hotel rooms. A pity the Tourist Office didn't explain this but our stay at this hotel certainly made up for the possible threat of disappointment!

We booked this hotel as it was pet friendly. We were celebrating my father’s 80th birthday (he’s been wanting to cycle along the Mosel) and this hotel could accommodate us all. From first contact email to the end of our stay, the staff were amazing. We had a mix of balcony/river view and town view rooms, every family member was happy with their accommodation, and the only complaint was the water pressure in one shower.. this was rectified immediately. We spent 5 nights in the hotel, we found the breakfast substantial with a mix of cereals, cooked food, cold meats, fresh fruit, yoghurts and juices, a variety of teas, and a pot or two of coffee on the table every morning. Staff were helpful with suggestions for cheaper parking, cycle hire, trains and buses. The whole family also made use of the sauna every afternoon, a lovely relaxing space to chill out in. The only negative was a lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms (but is that purely a British thing?) All in all, for location, helpfulness, friendliness and quality, I’d recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. It is in a perfect position to enjoy Cochem and the surrounding area. It was easy to get to from Amsterdam ferry port and both Düsseldorf and Cologne airports via train (with change at Koblenz)

Based on the age of the building, we were expecting the typical small rooms but were surprised at the size. One room at a private terrace right up against the mountain. Showers were a good size. Staff was friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good breakfast. Free WiFI. The only draw back was the massive parking structure directly across the street. While it made for great, free parking... it really killed the view of the grapes.

Not easy to get to if you have lots of luggage/elderly/hard of walking Room nice and big with an amazing view from the balcony. It is Cochem's low season so it was very quiet and probably not up to the standard they are rated at. I arrived by train and thought it I would take a walk to the hotel. The last 110m is very steep uphill and if you have a lot of luggage and elderly, this will certainly test you. If I had to be critical - • wifi shocking. Both in connectivity and speed. Will not let you you go to internet, something I needed for further travels; • my room was on the top floor, lots and lots of stairs after walking up the steep hill to the hotel. Really not easy if you have all your trave luggage to haul up and down; • Asked for a large double or queen bed, it was two single mattress pushed together in a king wooden frame; • Breakfast not worth waiting for, take it or leave plate of bread with cheeses and cold meats. No other choices; • as I'm English, most of the TV channels they said were available in English where not. Not a deal breaker but the whole town shuts down at 7pm so watching some TV is not a bad option.

This hotel, Moselstern Hotel Brixiade and Triton has two buildings by the name of Brigade and Triton. We were staying in the Brixiade wing. The rooms are small but well kept. The rooms which we were staying were facing the river and had a lovely view. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which serves German delicacies. The breakfast was yummy with lots to select from. The hotel is within walking distance to city centre.

A great Hotel in a quiet area a short walk across the bridge to the main town. They offer free parking close by for guests. The rooms are a good size with a good bathroom with excellent water pressure. Breakfast was very enjoyable with many choices available. The rooms have a fan which helps circulate the air and you can leave the windows open as there isn't any street noise. Unfortunately they don't have a lift but everything else about the property was very enjoyable.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but the view from our balcony did not include the castle. It was a view of the buildings across the street, the bridge, a small section of the Mosel, and some of the town. I think that the rooms next to ours, which stuck out more than ours did, properly had a beautiful view of the castle. The staff was very friendly, the room was large and clean and the balcony was nice also. The beds were good and we slept well. The bathroom wasn't small but it wasn't large either. Very clean. Breakfast was good, with a full selection of typical German breakfast items. Overall this was a good value and we would stay here again, though I would specify that I wanted a view of the castle.

This hotel offers various room sizes, including single rooms with a twin bed which is a great way to save money if you don’t need additional space. The room and the bathroom had been recently updated so it looked new. The hotel has an elevator, but there are a few steps before you get to it. There is also a step down into the breakfast room. People with mobility disabilities may have a difficult time at this hotel unless there are ramps somewhere I didn’t see. Breakfast is included in the price. Rather than a breakfast nook where it is a free for all for the guests, the breakfast area is a separate dining room with tables that are set according to room occupancy. There is a staff member who brings out a basket of rolls, multiple types of spreads, meat and cheese, orange juice, coffee, etc. You get the idea. It is such a nice change from other hotels. The hotel is located near the square, but not on the square. The street where it is located is noisy during the day, but quiets down in the evening, and the windows block out a lot of the noise. (The windows open also, which is a plus for me.) One thing to be aware of is that they take only euros or cards issued in Germany. They wouldn’t take my credit card. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever again in Cochem.

We visited this hotel, accomodating three rooms all together and every one of our group of six was more than satisfied with their rooms and with the hotel. Great hotel to stay in, It is located by the river and a walking distance from restaurants and wine tasting cellar. Free parking was available in the hotels back yard. Rooms where tidy, modern and spacious. The owner and the other staff was so kind to us. Highly recommend this to everyone. Few things to keep in mind tough: the hotel has no elevators, but three floors, the wifi connection varied around the hotel. At night if you went to the toilet it had glass doors and automated lights. So after leaving the toilet, the light stayed on for few minutes and led the bed also. Maybe not the best combo (glass door, automated lights and bed in front of the toilet). We where not so bothered about these matters and these are just minor things to keep in mind. The breakfast was great and the owner had the sense of humour and also good taste in style since our table was decorated with a desing Aalto vase from our homeland Finland filled with beautiful tulips.

A very nice hotel located in a place where you can have a great view of the river and the castle. I had a really cozy and comfortable single room (#2) from which I had an amazing view of both the Cochem castle and the Mosel River. The food at the breakfast buffet was also very good and I was able to find anything I needed. And last but not least I'd like to mention Herr Stumberger for being such an excellent and kind host. He explained everything to me the night I arrived and he was very helpful during my stay at the hotel. He remembered what kind of coffee I drink and he had it ready on my table the moment I stepped in the restaurant! He was also very kind as to arrange a taxi for me for the day of my departure so I wouldn't miss my early morning flight. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Cochem and wants feel like home during the stay!!

I booked this hotel for a weekend as our wedding anniversary celebration. We were welcomed very warmly and personally escorted to our room. We had a balcony with a view of the vineyards, castle and the town below. It was great. The room was nicely equipped and had a German queen bed (two twins pushed together) and was comfortable. There was even a bottle of local Reisling in our fridge as a welcome gift. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant that evening and were pleasantly surprised. The meal started with a cream of garlic soup (divine!), salad and entree of very tender beef slices over vegetables and au gratin potatoes. Dessert was home made apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely delicious! We also used the schwimbad and sauna during our stay and had massages at the Wellness Villa (which was a tad challenging to find). Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel was very personable and friendly with the exception of the person at the desk of the villa. When we arrived for our massages, we were greeted in German and as we gave the girl our paperwork we asked - in German - if she could speak English to us. She glared at us and stated very brusquely "please sit down". I totally did not expect such a sharp greeting and we just walked over to the seating area. This was the only part of this experience that I would say was negative. Would it be enough to not recommend this hotel? No. You can't blame everyone for one sharp, rude comment. The experience overall was great and the food was really good. I wouldn't normally have paid this much for a hotel room but it was a special occasion.

Our review and experience for the stay at Hotel Willi in February 2017 We were a group of 6 from Taiwan and with the first day early arrival in Germany, we started in Cochem. Don't expect Hotel Willi to be a professional Hotel, it is a family business and their hospitality gave us the feeling that we were welcome to their home. The friendliness straight from their hearts is different from the friendly smile of any professional Hotels. We made a reservation at their Restaurant for the evening, after a long flight and a day out in Cochem we were torn from exhaustion. The food was too delicious, but we were too exhausted to enjoy the diner. The landlady approached us with a friendly concern, she said that we all look very tired, it is understandable if you cannot finish the meal. She could read our mind and wish. The price we booked included breakfast, and on the day of leaving we told the landlady that we would return the keys around 5 a.m. The landlady concern was our breakfast, we told her it is fine, we didn't mind. To our surprise they prepared for everyone a large bag of breakfast for our train trip. It was more than enough. The rooms are quiet good for the low price in February and looked renovated. We highly recommend this Hotel to Germans and foreign travelers alike, if you want to experience German hospitality and the characteristics of Germans living at the River Mosel. However, we do not recommend this hotel for handicaps and elderly people, as there is no lift but only a staircase to the rooms.

It is easier to choose Kempinski Hotel in Germany, and the location and service are among the best in the local area. This Munich store is located in the center of the old town, on a street with luxury brands. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Marienplatz, the Royal Palace and the Hofbräuhaus. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast is particularly delicious, packed in clear glass bottles. Although there are not many types, the meat loaf and small sausages taste good, and they feel better than the restaurants outside. The standard room is nothing special, the bathroom is quite spacious and has a smart toilet lid, which is rare in Europe. The hotel’s swimming pool is not big. Ctrip’s website says the hotel is closed during the epidemic, but it’s especially open during the summer. Two people are restricted to travel together at a time.

Location is very good. The security around Munich Central Station seemed a little bad, but I was able to pass with ease because it was close to the hotel from the station. There were supermarkets and drugstores nearby, so shopping was not a problem. Because it was close to the city center, I could easily go sightseeing, such as moving on foot, returning to the hotel if I was tired, and it was the best for a stay of travel. It was confirmed that there was no need for an extra bed for the child when checking in at the front desk, but extra beds were available in the rooms for a few days (large bed 2 meters, activity extra bed 1 meter).
