Ok so I’m traveling across Europe on business, as I have done for the last 20 years. Search hotels nearby and HOTEL TER ZuiDHOEK popped up. I had no idea this would turn out to be the prefect stop over for me as a business traveller. It’s quiet on the outside but with a lovely warm atmosphere on the inside. I didn’t expect to find that the hotel have a superb restaurant attached to it. Michael Decruw is the up and coming chef there, who has a great mix of local produce and fresh fish carefully selected. I ate and dined like a king and it was good value for Western Europe. Fully recommend eating if staying over. Huge parking spaces and free!!! The rooms are stylish done with that modern boutique look, the bed was huge and so so comfortable...perfect if you need to catch more.... ZZZZZZZ’s. Again the shower was perfect very clean and spacious. You can see a lot of thought and passion has gone into making this a great hotel. Found out that the Angie the owner is actually Scottish so you know you will get great hospitality. I did notice the bar had a unique display of fine Scottish whiskeys to tempt guests with. I stay in numerous hotels across Europe and I will only comment on here if it’s trully worth it. 10/10 for value/style/hospitality and the same goes for the restaurant.

Our room was of a reasonable size, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean, but the basin had no plug, and the WC cistern often did not shut off. Car access to the hotel is via Stationsplein, which can only be accessed via Hendrik Consciencestraat; I wish we had known this beforehand, as we wasted half an hour driving round the maze of one-way streets trying to find the right way. Breakfast was of good quality and a moderate range; the coffee, however, was poor in our opinion. Unfortunately, we had a serious issue with our bill, as follows. Our room was €84, and we had 2 breakfasts at €15 each, which comes to €84 + €30 = €114. However, when I came to pay our bill, rather than an itemised bill, I was handed a slip of paper just showing €124 – that is, €10 too much. I asked how they had arrived at this total. The woman on reception wrote down €84 and €30 above each other – paused slightly – and then, quite deliberately, made them add up to €124. I pointed out that 8 + 3 = 11, not 12, and she finally reluctantly corrected it. If this had been a genuine mistake, she would have seen the error immediately – but she went on pretending that she was somehow in the right. Our advice to travellers to this hotel, then, is: 1. Take your booking confirmation with you when you pay; 2. Ask for an itemised bill; 3. Check that you really have had everything which they are charging you for; and 4. Most importantly of all, check that they have added it up correctly.

We stayed here for armistice day this year. Not a lot of choices for hotels when we booked so despite 2 stars we went for it. The welcome was friendly when we arrived and we were given room 101!!! It was like going back to the 70s. The only good side was that the room was reasonably clean ( bed was very clean). Mould in the shower and a boiler boxed in with mdf. The hotel was however in the perfect place for the train station and the town centre. Breakfast was an extra €10 a day each and being continental not worth it. At €100 a night this is grossly overpriced.

This is a modern recently built hotel with excellent standards but with a couple areas where improvement could be made : 1) Breakfast - tables were not laid with table mats, condiments or cutlery, only a bare wooden table. Loud music that was an intrusion 2) Leaving this hotel is a problem, very poor info as to the way out of the estate and no road signs as you leave the estate. This should have been noted by the management and information made available in the form of an information sheet or similar

Located just a few minutes walk from most destinations, the service is great. Multilingual, welcoming and very kind! Breakfast was outstanding too. However, the rooms were very average, with little to no amenities. The hotel is undergoing construction and the experience wasn’t fantastic. Extremely overpriced for the assets provided.

Personally, I found that this hotel was exactly what I needed on my solo trip. The staff were brilliant throughout my stay, and even smashed the lock off my backpack when I arrived as I had cleverly managed to lock myself out of it! I stayed in room 403, which if you’re scared of heights and are over 6ft, I wouldn’t recommend as there is a narrow/steep staircase to get to the 4th floor (the lift doesn’t do this high) and there is a sloping ceiling in the bedroom/bathroom. 2 things that didn’t bother me, so i was happy. The wifi was strong to say I was at the top of the building, the TV worked and had English channels, the bed was SUPER comfy and the room was very clean! The location was brilliant, within walking distance from everything, and you can see and hear the bells of the cathedral in the morning. The view from the skylight in the morning is incredible. If you’re not a fussy person and just want hot water and a place to rest your head, then i would definitely recommend staying here.

great location! rooms were modern and well kept. swimming pool was a love it or hate it situation since if u are swimming alone, it might be a bit gloomy but if u are with friends, could be fun with the cave feel. would definitely recommend it. it's so close to the main square! they have parking space too.

We stayed here for one night, which we were happy about as we wouldn’t have wanted to stay a second night in our room. When arriving we called as we were driving, and they directed us to a paid car park. We then realised after arrival that there was parking available on site. They did not reply to earlier emails regarding the parking situation, all were ignored. The hotel’s communal areas are lovely and modern but unfortunately this isn’t reflected well in the rooms. Our room was spacious and did look good, however there was an established cobweb network in one of our lights (see picture). The bathroom was okay but there wasn’t a lot of room to put things eg toothpaste / shower product. The shower door didn’t close properly and lots of water went on the floor, saturating the floor mat. Also no hand soap provided at sink, it was in the shower. Breakfast was average. Staff not as friendly as the reception staff the night before, and a limited selection including a waffle maker but no waffle batter. It would also have been nice to have dairy free milk options in the coffee machine. Overall I think if we didn’t have the issue with the light and the shower we would stay again, perhaps a room change would have suited us.

Everyone is asking these questions, I only know the location is good. What an unprofessional user experience, I am still a tour guide hahahaha, I am so sorry for myself and the industry. Maybe you are busy making room reservations, and you only look at traffic when you book your own hotel. . . Sorry everyone, no constructive comments

I am a frequent Marriott guy (60+ per year) but with no Marriott's in Brugges, I took a chance on a new hotel. The Peelaert is in a fantastic location if you are wanting to explore Brugges. Short walk to everything, but just far enough out of the central hub to be quiet in the evenings. Dining options are all around. Room was clean, service was great, no issues. Only complaint was that breakfast was a little lacking in options, but that's in comparison to American buffets. I would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I spent one night at Hotel Heritage in the centre of Bruges. Every single detail was just perfect. The welcome was nice, our room was fabulous, and the friendliness of the staff was exceptional. In addition, restaurant Le Mystique at the ground floor of the hotel is an additional trump of the hotel. The food and service were Michelin-star quality and the price was in our opinion absolutely fair. We definitely come back! PS: We loved the old-fashioned but very nice telephones in the room

We stayed one night on the way back from France and it was a great choice!! A very clean hotel, very modern and friendly staff. The hotel is nearby the parking garage which costs 11 euros per 24 hours (really cheap comparing some other cities we have been to). You are right in the city and near the bus station if needed. The room we booked was on 5th floor so I recommend this floor to have the nice view of the cathedral. Rooms are clean and very modern (usb plugs, rain showers, AC,etc). Fast internet was really good after spending few days in French hotels with slow internet. The one thing was funny was the bathroom. There is only a curtain that divides the bathroom from the room so it was a bit strange to use the toilet when your wife is sitting on the bed (we chose to stay outside when one of us used the bathroom for some privacy ,lol). nice breakfast and friendly staff. Absolutely recommend it!!!
