Firstly, don’t be put off my review if you’re a 20 something hipster with a beard and doesn’t enjoy sunlight and talking! This hotel deserves 5* alone for service and high quality rooms and restaurant! I had a gorgeous room with black walls and high quality fixtures and fittings. Beautiful rainforest shower & fluffy towels! But despite the many lights, it’s just dark and apparently‘ atmospheric’! They don’t do any form of rooms service and after an exhausting day of meetings, I didn’t want to eat in a restaurant that is dark and atmospheric and not knowing what I was eating because of the light! I had to track to the restaurant for food and drink because there was also no tea or coffee facilities, despite there being a beautiful area in room to house one, alone with a little fridge! This hotel is gorgeous, it’s cool hip and trendy. The food, despite not being able to see it very well was beautiful and tasty, served by wonderful and thoughtful staff! They couldn’t do enough! The staff are getting zero natural light and they should be given vitamin D, because I asked one of them what it was like working with no natural light, and they said they felt permanently exhausted! This really concerns me, because I travel a lot for work and their staff are 5* and nothing was too much trouble! This isn’t a bad review, it’s a ‘not my kind of place’ review! So 3* from me, 5* if your younger than me (40 something!) xx

The hotel is very close to metro station Porte de Montreuil/Maraichers. I've booked a room with a private bathroom, because they do have some rooms with shared bathroom as well. Unfortunately, the room was located on the 6th floor and they do not have an elevator. So, please, be aware that in case you have huge bags - the way to the room is quite challenging :D The room itself didn't have AC, it was a small one (usual thing in Paris). The room itself looked neat, but I had a feeling like it wasn't clean as it should be. The smell from the nearby cafes is coming into your room in case you are going to open the window for some fresh air. It's worth the money we paid for 1 night.

We spent three days in the hotel, in a 'family suite' - two separate rooms that share a small hall. Very friendly personnel. The rooms are small, but that's Paris of course. Breakfast buffet is OK, but not a lot of choice. Close to the Porte de Montreuil metro stop on line 9 that brings you to the centre of Paris in 20 minutes or less. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Close to the Père Lachaise cemetery. The 20th arrondissement is quickly becoming a bohémien hotspot.

This was my first visit to Paris We weren't disappointed as a whole it was a lovely trip Negatives to the hotel: No cooked breakfast Very Poor english Bed very creaky The safe didn't work So noisy outside at night time Rooms get very very hot Towels were tiny my boyfriend couldn't even get him round his waist they were more like hand towels No English tv either couldn't understand anything We weren't really told what was near by or how to get metro etc would've appreciated that though. One receptionist at night I didn't catch his name was lovely to both me and my boyfriend they were talking about football etc he made a good effort thank you! Positives: Only about a half hour walk to the city Nice shops nearby Lots of cafes and restaurants and kebab houses Comfortable bed Lovely shower Clean room once a day Leaflets available Good wi fi Nice spacious room Allocated smoking area outside was good enough too Don't think my boyfriend and I would visit again not necessarily this hotel just Paris in general now we've seen it. It was a lovely weekend but feel like there were more negatives than positives at this hotel in general Thank you! Au revoir!

A prepaid disaster ! For fairness, these features are acceptable: Wi-Fi, shower, and inclusive breakfast. For the rest ? Oh dear me ! Booked for a single room. Upon arrival at the bar below, as they are owned by the same person, he demanded I immediately paid the city tax, in advance ! This is the first time this has happened to me in over 50 stays in France in the past 20 years ! It was a sign of what I could expect - virtually nothing ! Given the entry codes for the outside door - as there is NO reception area - and for the 2nd floor room, I struggled up the stairs - no lift - on a very hot, sticky night . . . Room was a shock ! Part of the roof-space, it was an attic room with the ceiling sloping at 30 degrees from the horizontal, and dropping to a height of just 89 cms from the laminated floor, at the external wall ! Worse, a hard edge transverse beam went across the whole bedroom, and above the washbasin and toilet, at a height of just 168 cms from the floor . . ! So, if you are taller than 168 cms, expect to crack your head when using the bathroom, or when standing just halfway into the bedroom from its entrance door ! The next horror was discovering where I could unpack my clothes ? Answer : on a line of 4 coathooks, suspended fom the top of the entrance door ! That was it ! No wardrobe and no shelves ! And to hang anything on said coathooks covers the " In case of fire" emergency notice ! The place was horrifically hot, only one bedroom light and one bathroom light worked ( room 204), and the fan wouldn't work as it needed water in it (!) and there was no utensil in the bathroom with which to pour any water ! The only ventilation came from two ( velux-type) flush fitting roof windows, although in the poor lighting - it was after 10.30pm when I arrived in the room - I was unable to see how to open the bedroom one until morning ! A proper hotel would provide a welcome booklet, or even just a laminated sheet, giving useful information and contact numbers. But Hotel Le Daly's is NOT one of those, so there is no such information provided in the room ! Completely fed up, I called the booking agency, who tried that night, and again the following day, to get a refund from the owner so that I could be re-booked elsewhere. But no, the owner refused that, but promised to buy a hanging-rail for me, and to move me to the only one of five attic rooms to have a (vertical) dormer window ! (He also claimed he couldn't offer me a 1st floor room - called "superior" by him as they actually have standing headroom by all 4 walls - as they were fully booked during the 11 day period of my stay.) On day 3 of my stay, he provided me with a portable hanging-rail, with 5 coat hangers, and on day 4, upon my insistence, he allowed me to move into the ONE attic room with the dormer window ( room 201). Other gripes : although the rooms were serviced most days, mine wasn't for the 72 hours from the Friday until the following Monday. Furthermore, the laminate

The staff was very kind and helpful and the room was very nice and fairly clean. Cleanliness could improve. The buffet breakfast was excellent. So much choice and the warm croissants and pain aux chocolate were delicious and choice of coffees and chocolate, juice etc. They also had a safe place to store your luggage. As I never came back later than 8.30 pm I cannot comment on the safety of the area but it seemed quite safe.

I stayed in Hotel Paris Gambetta in the mid October. I definitely recommend this place if you plan to visit Paris! Let me point out some of the pros: Location: Even thought, hotel is placed far from the "city center" the location is great. There is a metro station Gambetta near by so it's easy to go everywhere. Also, there is McDonald (if you need morning coffee), Franrpix market where you can buy almost everything and Pere Lachaise cementery. Rooms: I stayed in the room on the 2nd floor. You can take a lift there or staircase (which looks excatly like on french movies - I love it). The room was spacious, so as bathroom. It was cleaned everyday and towels were changed. We have a view on the street. It would be nice if there was a kettle in the room (as it was in a hotel that I stayed earlier) but unfortunately it wasn't. The wifi connection was great. Hotel staff: I have a pleasure to meet two men at the reception desk and they were extremely nice and helpful. And it's true that people in Paris do not like speak english, but those two men spoke perfect english. Also, I like the idea of leaving the key in the reception desk while we were exploring Paris. I didn't have to worry that I will lose. Next time in Paris, I will definitely choose Hotel Paris Gambetta.

+ Friendly reception staff (especially the young guy). Can't say that definitely english speaking, but at least trying. Was possible to receive what needed tho. Metro station just outside of the hotel. Due to unexpected cold wether in May they immediately turned on the heaters and it was very warm in the room. Kettle, teas, coffees and sugars in the room, every day replaced. Watter pressure in bathroom very good. - Terrible housekeeping staff. That's the only disadventage actually. Unfortunately had few unplesant situations during our stay. Once our room wasn't cleaned at all (we just have received fresh towels). Reception was informed and suppose to make sure our room will be cleaned the following day. Unfortunately, the next time bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. But what happened the last day was the worse. Before 10 we informed reception that we are going for the last walk around neighbourhood but will be back soon, before checkout. When we came back around 10 (checkout was at 11:30) our room was half cleaned despite our bag were still there. Our food that we prepared for out way back wash thrown away. Guy which was cleaning our room didn't care that we came back and kept cleaning the room passing by us back and forth while we ate our second breakfast. Outrageous. Also, plastic cutlery and paper cups in room.

We "discovered" this charming hotel by accident--the Paris heatwave of 2019 (i.e., we booked a room in a hotel without AC). After making the decision to check out of that hotel, we found this one at the last moment, and what a relief from the moment we walked in the door. And the AC is quite good (and you have complete control over temperature and fan speed). Our weekday manager, Veronique, was very welcoming and helpful, and we were able to settle into one of the two rooms we had booked as a "family room": one room with two twin beds, another a short way down the hall with a queen. The twin bed room (#43) has a bath; (#44) a shower. Both look onto an open airway (sorry, no views here), but at the price, it's fantastic--very quiet and very comfortable. There is no fridge in the room, nor microwave, but the staff will let you store a bottle of wine in the fridge (the stores close around 10, so make sure you plan). The rooms have great lighting (including flexible reading lights!), and are equipped with storage space and a desk. By "American" standards, the rooms may be considered small (and the elevator smaller--think moving phone booth), but again, don't try to sleep four to a room here--you can't. Staff will clean your room if you want (they are also "Eco" rated, so if you don't need a clean towel, keep it off the floor and staff will leave it), the tele does offer CNN International as the only English channel, and there is a McDonald's across the street if you must. But at your doorstep are several good bakeries, a well-stocked grocery (Carrefour is two short blocks away), and the Gambetta Metro stop (#3). Pere Lachaisse Cemetery is a five minute walk. And a host of very good bars and restaurants. You will really experience the charm of Paris here, away from the tourist crowds. Oh, and the #69 bus (that Rick Steves and others list as "the" public bus tour of Paris)? It stops right in front of the hotel. Mind you, it took us more than an hour to travel from here to the Champ de Mars (the park in front of the Tour Eiffel), but what a trip--it drives by the Hotel de Ville, through the Louvre, past Les Invalides...). Keep in mind that the neighborhood is smack-dab in the center of the 20er Arrondissement--it's one more stop till the end of the line for the Metro (but it's within the beltway). Be prepared to discover the wonders of the Metro... And if you've ever seen old movies where you turn in your key before you leave--they still do that here. And there is always someone at the front desk (although the evening staff's English is a little more limited, they are quite helpful, and you're in Paris!). So, to "vos saviours" at L'Hotel Palma, merci beaucoup. You really helped us to save our trip.

This was a very disappointing stay. While the Hotel is okay, and the room is nice, there were quite a few areas that went terribly wrong. For starters on Sunday afternoon the hot water broke, and they couldn't get a repairman in until Monday morning. This has happened before on other trips I've taken to Europe, but not at a "4-Star" hotel. Pretty much every day I had to venture down to the check-in staff because something wasn't working properly or something was forgotten. For four of the six days I stayed here, the cleaning staff took care of the towels we used, but then didn't replace them. They also kindly replaced the waste bin, but they left the full trash bag on the desk, for three days. One of the towels we got had permanent stains on it. The hairdryer in the room only worked for about 2 minutes, with periodic stops every 20 seconds, because it would overheat and couldn't be used until it cooled down. The hand soap in the bathroom where the toilet is located ran out the first day, and was never replaced. That smaller bathroom also featured an unpleasant smell that would suggest the cleaning staff never went in there, or did their job. But by far in a way the most unpleasant surprise was at check-out. When I began our stay the check-in staff told me breakfast was available and that it was at no cost. Since breakfast consisted of a coffee machine, orange juice, a few types or cheese and some croissants, it was a nice quick offering before leaving to explore Paris. At check-out the staff I returned the room card to, asked me if I enjoyed my visit to Paris, and my stay at the Novotel Suites. Since a lot of the issues with the room were minor annoyances I didn't feel the need to bring them up, and said our stay in Paris was nice and the hotel was okay. He then asked me if I enjoyed the breakfast at the Hotel. Being, polite, I said it was nice and that the espresso machine was quite good. He then asked me how many days we grabbed breakfast, which I replied 3 days, including that day we were checking out. He then handed me a bill for €120 saying that breakfast was €15 per person, per day. There were NO SIGNS near the breakfast that indicated a cost, no staff mentioned a cost, and there was a selection of items you could buy next to the "free" breakfast. Not only was I extremely displeased with this surprise at check-out. What irritates me the most, is that he then charged me €30 more than the he should have (15*6=90 not 120) and he saw me not eat anything before leaving for the airport. That was single handedly the most low-down dirty trick I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. It would be one thing if he asked us how many days we had breakfast, but the way he phrased it, as a question of satisfaction is what angered me the most. He over charged me, and ended my Paris vacation on quite a sour note. I never want to stay at any Novotel product ever again. Your management, staff and customer service is completely unacceptable, and the roo

Stayed here for 2 nights for my wife’s birthday. What a lovely little hotel, the staff are amazing and made us feel very welcome, it is in a great location, if you like walking you can walk all the way in to Paris seeing so many sights along the way, or the metro is literally in your doorstep, 15 mins away on the 9 route to the Eiffel Tower. The rooms were small but very comfortable and it was nice to be welcomed on both evenings to share a nice glass of french wine and nibbles provided by the staff. The staff were always on hand to offer recommendations for places. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable one. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel location is very good, very close to the Arc de Triomphe, a five minute walk to the subway station can also take a direct bus to and from Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport. Facilities breakfast also fully reached the four-star standard, the gym is relatively small. The front desk is more enthusiastic. There is a little brother who can speak Chinese, which makes communication more convenient.

I regret the booking of this hotel. The gentleman at the service desk when I checked in was incredibly rude and condescending throughout the process. The room was as small as expected however the beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. The shower had minimal pressure. The AC whenever it was turned on left a gathering of dust over everything in my room. Whilst it is located quite a distance from the centre, there are several stations close by which is handy, unfortunately the food options close by the hotel are terrible. I left the hotel after three nights instead of the five I had booked and paid for.

Good location, nearby Carrefour, franprix and other supermarkets! I live on the 2nd floor facing the street, and it is very quiet at night, but the sound insulation between the room and the room is really average. The room is not large and has a balcony (not every room, so it is best to leave a message to tell the room with a balcony when booking) ), There is also a door in the bathroom sharing a balcony with the room, so the balcony is quite large. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. Slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. Lines 7 and 10 are only 5 minutes' walk from the surrounding area. Line 4 is about 15 minutes away. The 5th district is a Latin area, surrounded by universities, so it is safe! The hotel has access control locks, staff need to help open the door to enter! Breakfast is an ordinary western-style breakfast, bread, milk, eggs, oatmeal, sausage and cheese. A tax of 1.88 euros per person per night, which must be paid to the front desk when checking out. This Ctrip will also call you when you are in China to inform you that this tax must be paid to the hotel separately! The hotel provides free wlan, but the Internet speed is average, the room has air conditioning and heating. In short, the price is high!

Stayed at the B&B hotel for three nights while visiting Disney. Anyone looking for a cheap place to stay this is perfect. Hotel is spotlessly clean, really friendly staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and shower room. The hotel serves a simple dinner of pasta or pizza which is great, easy to order and quick to come. Breakfast is simple but just want you need at the start of the day. Tables were cleared quickly and everything very clean and presented well. We were worried about the shuttle overcrowding but there are a few services which only run from the B&B hotel and others which go to the other four hotels on the complex which makes it easy. We always got on a bus even if it was busy and never had to wait long! Lockers are available to store luggage if your arrive before your room is ready or check out early. We will be back on our next disney trip!

For the first time in a hotel model, the century-old building is said to be a historical cultural relics protection unit in Paris, so it is completely banned. My old cigarette can only smoke in a small yard. Miss Luo is very enthusiastic, let us have the feeling of going home. There is a black guy in night shift who speaks Chinese very well. He said that he read a book in Guangzhou. In the morning, the girl named Marty also speaks Chinese. There is no problem at all, and at the same time give us a lot of advice on the tour, much stronger than those that are not reliable. It is very convenient to exit the subway 50 meters away. This area is a safe place for French people to live in. The room is big enough to be the floor-to-ceiling glass window in Europe. Our bedroom is very close to the yard, so the living room is a bit noisy. It is highly recommended to add a Chinese breakfast. It is really not suitable for those cheese breads, and it is better to have Chinese TV. If you have the opportunity to come back to Paris, you will still come to the Paris Residence.
