So disappointed with this hotel which we booked through Secret Escapes. We drove for 8 hrs from Germany to visit Paris ( a first for us) before returning to the UK. We had checked nearby parking before booking and no mention of height restrictions but unfortunately all car parks were underground and our vehicle was too high. This was not the hotels fault, but during the 2 hrs we drove around Paris looking for overground parking we popped into the hotel and called them asking for assistance. They were neither sympathetic or helpful, despite it being 21.30 in the evening and 40 degree heat. After eventually finding road parking ourselves we checked in. They did recommend somewhere to eat when we were dripping with sweat and exhausted - but I would expect this from any hotel ‘worth it’s salt’. The hotel decor is tired / in need of repair. Our room overlooked the courtyard ( but straight into the window of another guests room) . The bathroom was tatty and had mouldy tiles / grout. The bed was however very comfortable. In the morning we awoke to a puddle on the bathroom floor from the broken AC unit . The hairdryer kept coming apart. Breakfast was mediocre but the gentleman serving was very welcoming and helpful. Such a shame as our experience of West France, Germany and Switzerland on the same trip could not have been more different. Certainly over- priced for the accommodation and service.

This is a small, quirky hotel in a great area of Paris. The price is good so don’t expect the Ritz. We had a small double room with a large shower room. It was just right for the weekend; would have been tricky with large luggage. The bed was very comfortable, with great pillows and linens. The AC worked very well. That’s a big plus!! On the less exciting side: we were on the ground floor. The window was well insulated and we were not bothered by any noise from the street but we could hear every word of the phone conversations from the front desk. On the worrying side: the front desk clerks Saturday daytime and night were great. On Sunday, however, when we went out for breakfast, we found the Sunday day clerk kept the front door locked from the inside while he was elsewhere in the hotel. We couldn’t exit the hotel. We explained how dangerous that is in the event of fire or any other emergency. He disagreed, explaining it was for security. The same thing happened when we checked out so it’s clearly his practice. This is not acceptable. There should always be a way to exit, especially as the street windows/door have wrought iron bars. The door lock needs to be changed immediately. Until this incident, we intended to come back because the location was perfect for us. I would not do so now unless I knew this had been rectified.

Very nice stay. The location in Saint Germain is ideal for nice walks to Notre Dame, Le Marais, and all. Clean and charming, and tucked away so it is very quiet. You pay a little more than some small hotels, but it is worth it. Staff is helpful and polite.

I booked this hotel through Crystal Travel following excellent reviews. Shortly before my visit, I noted a more recent review referring to bugs. I contacted the hotel direct prior to travel and was assured that any problem had been completely eradicated. Unfortunately this was not the case and I was bitten by bed bugs on my last night. I drew the bites to the attention of hotel staff who suggested I write to the hotel for compensation. I would note that the people working at the hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful and this criticism is not directed at them. The hotel director acknowledged my complaint and the assurance I had received and offered me an upgrade on any future visit. When I said I did not consider this adequate, he explained that the price I paid was already significantly reduced on pre-Covid rates and, as the booking agent took a commission, if I were to receive any refund the hotel would not make any profit. I subsequently spoke to Crystal travel who spoke to the hotel on my behalf with no greater success or offer of refund of their commission. The hotel itself is ideally situated and more than adequate for a short break in Paris. Were it not for the attitude of the hotel director I would have happily stayed there again once it was clear that they no longer had a problem with bed bugs. As it is, I consider the attitude to be the opposite of good customer service and very disappointing indeed.

We were looking for a quaint hotel in St. Germain and Louis II was ideal. This was a birthday trip for my wife, and unfortunately it was the same time as “fashion week.” Which meant most of the hotels were booked. Louis II did not disappoint. The decor is very modern and pleasing. The room was well decorated and had modern conveniences. And above all else, the location was ideal. Very convenient for local shopping and easy walking to Ile St. Louis, Luxembourg Gardens, Les Deux Magots, and many great bars and restaurants. This neighbor has great food and shopping without the crowded vibes of some the tourists hotspots. Now, as others have pointed out, the room itself is very small (and we were in an upgraded room). Moving around with two people, two suitcases, etc. is a little like hotel room Tetris. We made everything work, but there is no room to spare. The service was impeccable. The concierge was exceptionally nice and helpful and even arranged for champaign and flowers for my wife’s birthday. It was a very special trip!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. We landed in Paris after a direct flight from CA with our two young kids, and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, which was incredibly appreciated with 2 very tired, her-lagged children. The hotel is very cute, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was amazing. We loved walking around the area. The breakfast was also delicious.

Super station three-way hotel! There is a station entrance right in front of the hotel, so the access is very good. It's a little noisy, but it's warm and the bed is fluffy, so I went to sleep. The rooms are a bit soft, but the bathroom was very clean and I was completely satisfied with the newly renovated ㅎㅎ unlike the up sumnail, the sheets are very clean, so you don't have to hesitate. The only downside is that the elevator is too small to carry a big carrier and it's hard to ride? It was a little small but it was good to be able to see YouTube because it was a Samsung smart TV

I stayed here with my sister during our holiday in Paris and I can say I was very happy with the choice made! Two-step structure from Moulin Rouge and its metro, 10 minutes walk from MontMartre , a spacious area, open mainly at night, a starbucks in front of the metro stop, then brewery, poke, hamburger, locals for all tastes + a large supermarket (also exactly at the out of the metro). Reception h24 - a little date structure, small stairs and a little uncomfortable but essential room, small, a small closet and a mirror, but for the location and price, for two girls is super recommended! I never had the feeling of being in a bad area, at the evening of a full-fledged, but quiet, and not new, but also here, for the price it is fully presentable and useable. The only sin (which was not a problem for us) is that at night it is not a quiet area, just not having light sleep problems and nothing to revert. The phone and telecommand of the TV are to be requested at the reception. As far as we are concerned, super recommended!

Stayed at Hotel Panache for a week at the end of February and had a great experience. Sophia and the reception staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. It is is a great location, within walking distance of Montmartre, Opera Garnier and the big department stores, the Louvre/Palais Royale and other popular areas, as well as very close to Grands Boulevards metro. Yes the rooms may seem small etc. by North American standards as per some other reviews, but don’t forget you are in Paris in a 19th century building and the rooms are comfortable and charming. It was an amazing base for a week of adventures around the city. Also excellent restaurants, bakeries, shops in the area everywhere you turn, and pharmacies within a 5 minute walk where you can have your vaccine certificate converted into a passe sanitaire (on the corner of rues Cadet and La Fayette). We will definitely return, à la prochaine!

Our room was absolutely tiny and looked nothing like the pictures. The shower had mould around the screen and the bathroom could barely fit one person standing. Breakfast was minimal, freshly cooked croissants was a huge plus but other than that, very little variety and not very fresh, the pineapple looked on the turn and the cheese and meat looked straight from a supermarket packet. Fortunately we weren't there for the hotel but still, it wasnt cheap for two nights and I had expected more.

I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Paris in the 1990s. I continued to stay there every year until 2005, when I stopped traveling to Europe for a few years. In 2018 I returned to Paris and Hotel Emile under its new ownership. They had really done a lot to spruce up the hotel even before COVID 19. My husband and I love this hotel because of its great location. The metro is just across the street. There is a great cafe downstairs on the corner and a grocery store, pastry shop, boulangerie, fromagerie, librarie, etc. all within less than a 10 min walk. It is on the edge of the Marais, the best place in Paris for night time wanderings, in my opinion. And best of all, the hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a real warmth and family feeling at the hotel. I wouldn't change Hotel Emile for the Hotel Charles V!

Stayed here for a June trip to Roland-Garros, and the location was ideal, between 15th & 7th. Good metro stops, restaurants, market. The price is a little higher than listed but that's true for any place nearby this time frame. And the comfort of the room made up for it. We recently stayed in this hotel as we were having renovations in our apartment. The first thing we noticed was the natural and warm professionalism of the lady on the front desk. Some people are just perfect for working with the public, and it was the case here. Always a natural smile, and ready to help or answer any queries without any hesitation. There is no lift in the hotel, and the stairs are very narrow, which made it a bit complicated with a large suitcase. The lady on the desk offered to help, but we managed. The room was newly renovated, and it was quite small, but this is par for the course in Paris. It had a window to a charming courtyard which was so incredibly quiet, we were able to sleep with the window open without any problems. The sliding door on the bathroom was quite a surprise but we soon got used to it. It was the first time we had stayed in a hotel where there was already a good, strong fan in the room upon our arrival, which was necessary as it was quite warm. The lady who was working in the breakfast room sometimes seemed a bit overwhelmed, especially on our last day, when it was very busy and she was working alone. The gentleman on the front desk as we were leaving was very friendly and professional too. All in all I would like to thank to thank the staff for their warm welcome and help. Keep up the good work ;)

Nice budget hotel, right next to the Moulin Rouge. It is relatively clean, and it is a relatively standard chain economy hotel in the vicinity. The car park is a public car park. For a fee, the hotel can offer a discount. The only thing to note is that there is a cemetery next to the hotel, and some of the cemeteries can be seen from the window of the room.

The Ibis conditions are quite good, but the surrounding environment is too bad. When we heated the food at the front desk, because of the large amount of luggage, we managed poorly. We didn’t know when someone had taken a bag and was stolen some cash. One person ran back sweating and said that he saw someone taking our bag and he was chasing it back. Then we checked that the cash was gone. But the two of us were too stupid, and thanked each other. Later, the people around me should be the thief... Then we contacted the hotel right away, the hotel expressed anger, but we finally had no right to monitor even the monitoring, who did not know who to take How to get it, can't recover it. Although there are a lot of French policemen around the market looking at the market, everyone said it was useless. . In Paris, I really want to remind all of you who have just come, pay more attention.
