As a first impression, this hotel's location may seem slightly random, apart from being generally quite central to Osaka yet in a quiet neighbourhood, allowing for a restful night's sleep, but a little exploration soon revealed that the (quite spectacular) Osaka Castle Park is just 5 minutes walk away and Osaka City History Museum even closer, so in fact the spot is very thoughfully chosen. Some of the front desk staff displayed a subtle yet clear attitude of contempt, which is not normal for the Toyoko Inn or even for Japan generally -maybe something to do with Osaka's big city syndrome, or just he management failing to keep the workforce motivated. A reasonable Japanese-style breakfast (including toast but NO butter or jam) is included in the price. There is another Toyoko Inn in the area right next to Tanimachi Yonchome station, so if you need to use the metro, that is a better choice. Otherwise, if you have ever stayed in another Toyoko, you know exactly what to expect. If you haven't, be ready for a totally functional mid-range hotel catering mostly for Japanese business travellers with almost no luggage storage space at all.

I had one night in Osaka, so my choices on attractions were limited. I was pleased to find Hotel Sun White was located very near Osaka Castle and the Osaka History Museum. I am seeing a lot of reviews complaining about room size, but to be honest, for Japan, these are pretty good-sized rooms. I've done a lot of travel in Japan, and find the Sun White offers roominess, a pleasant professional staff, and a breakfast buffet that is hard to beat. The location is outstanding - about two blocks from the grounds of Osaka Castle in the government district. There are also a wide variety of little restaurants nearby, most of which offer menus in English. We recommend the little takeaway a few steps from the front of the hotel. Beds are large and comfy - I slept better than I have in some time. Post check-out luggage storage a big plus for the tourist, as is proximity to the local subway station. We had a very pleasant stay at a fair price.

This older style hotel in Osaka faces the river however we had a not so glamorous room with a “city” view but nonetheless a satisfactory short stay room. Our room was very small with no allocated room for your suitcases but manageable, 2 King Single beds with only 1 pillow each, a small chair and bar fridge, and an older style “flat screen” tv. The bathroom was tiny but again adequate for our needs but having long legs sitting slightly side saddle was required LOL, the water pressure and temperature fantastic. The hotel is located above a subway station and a small shopping mall and about 8 little restaurants/bars. We had dinner ina traditional local restaurant on the end near the steps to our hotel (sorry forgot the name) which was absolute great taste size and price with great cold beers. As usual a good sized breakfast available to satisfy all tastes. A previous review stated no cooling A/C in autumn which I can confirm but in March it isn’t necessary anyway - accept that’s the way it is baby! Yes it is an older style hotel but the price of same, the location, the obliging staff, has very small rooms and bathroom but overall quite satisfactory for a short term stay

Stayed here with my husband and daughter. I was expecting something like the Hotel Mystays Maihama where we stayed April 2017 in Tokyo but I was disappointed that it was quite a far cry. The reception area seemed dark. Perhaps something to do with their lighting. The people in the reception area were helpful and could speak English well. It’s a 10 minute walk to the nearest station and there are are a lot of convenience stores nearby and a delicious Indian restaurant right infront of the Hotel. The room had a particular smell maybe because cooking is allowed inside and the exhaust for the cooking isn’t that strong. Thank God there was a balcony. There weren’t people available to clean the rooms everyday . You have to bring your towels to the reception so they can be changed daily and you have to pay extra ¥200 to change the beddings. You also have to bring your own garbage to the garbage disposal area yourself and ask for new plastic bags everyday. The mini kitchen included a microwave, refrigerator, induction stove, water heater and complete utensils. They don’t give free water bottles. I suggest they put Instructions in English on how to use all the appliances because the reception isn’t available 24 hours and the phone in the room doesn’t have direct access to the reception. The reception is only open from 8 am to 10 pm so be sure to have your keys with you so you can enter the building beyond these office hours. I think the hallways need repainting too. They have a laundry area and vending machines. To us, this is more of what we call an “apartelle” than a hotel so they should put that in their website and hotel description. I would look for another place to stay in if I visit Osaka again in the future.

Location, cleanliness, wi-fi , reviews & price are the main reasons for selecting our hotel stays. This hotel was in a quieter area but perfect for us. Arriving at KIX airport we chose to take the bus to Osaka Umeda (Hanku) Station approx 45 mins & approx $19 AUD each, then chose to take a taxi to the hotel approx $18 AUD. Painless exercise rather than navigating the unknown subway at night. Come daylight it became apparent what a good location we were at. Turn left from hotel walk short distance to end of street to the start of one of the entrances to Osaka Castle - brilliant. Turn right from hotel & short distance to end of street was the subway, purple line - Tanimachi 4 Chrome Station (T23) to one of the main connecting stations Higashi-Umeda (T20) 10 mins. max. Hotel service was excellent from reception to room cleanliness. Hotel is not new, but is well maintained. Room size was bigger than expected. Only down size was the bed was really hard, but otherwise no issues. Wi-fi operated perfectly in the room. Breakfast was amazing . We felt it was definitely in a good location for us to take the subway to all the major locations in Osaka and did not need to purchase any passes prior to leaving Australia. We would definitely stay again if we were to return to Osaka

Nakano no Yu is located on the 13th floor of Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi. Guests staying at the hotel can not only bathe free of charge, but also provide towels and changing suits in the room. There are unlimited hot and cold drinks for hot and cold drinks in the hot spring bath. Free ramen from half past eleven ~ Because hot springs in Japan are very different from ours, all of them have the same style as a large strip bathhouse. Therefore, from the perspective of security and privacy, everyone does not bring a cell phone into the bath, and I store it in a locker. I won't pat around until I come out. Hot steam, shower first, rinse well and then go to the soup pond. There are several soup ponds, including outdoor open-air baths. The water temperature varies, and you can't soak for too long at one time, especially the high-temperature ponds. Therefore, it is more appropriate to get up for about five to ten minutes. Entering and exiting a few times, not only thirsty, but also feel hungry ~ just wash and blow properly, put on the hotel rice camel coffee color large suit-note: not a kimono nor a yukata! Transfer to the restaurant next door. Unlimited supply of cold drinks with ice water ice tea ice coffee ice cola, hot drinks are hot water hot tea (including matcha black tea) hot coffee, sit together, chat and talk, as if the large living room is as comfortable and comfortable. Wait until the soy sauce-flavored ramen table is slammed for a while, um, the little chef will be very happy ~ The hotel's rooms are relatively old-fashioned, although the functions are complete but the area is not large, so there are no highlights to say. On the contrary, it is the selling point of this kind of soup that brings a lot of goodwill, which just meets the hunger and thirst after the soup-must praise!

I’ve been to many hotels all around Japan but the Noum is definitely a stand-out. It is located right next to a river which makes it particularly tranquil and its outside as well as its inside are very nicely designed with light colors and wood. Cleanliness was a 10/10 also. What I loved most of all however, is that the Noum showed itself to be a hotel with a heart! First of all, unlike other Japanese hotels, the Noum only hands out or sells several amenities per request and doesn’t just stick them in the rooms only to be used maybe once and then thrown away. This impressed me, as it showed their commitment to eco-friendliness. Further, I found it refreshing to see that the hotel staff wore casual, although stylish, clothing and some even had tattoos. These are very rare things in Japanese hotels and demonstrate a forward-thinking spirit. Not to mention that the staff was particularly warm and friendly, even for Japanese standards. So, if you want to stay in a modern, clean and unique hotel, a stay in the Noum is a must!

Located in Osaka Castle/Kyobashi Super Hotel Osaka Tanimachi 4-chome occupies the best location in Osaka. Including the Osaka Entrepreneur Museum, Wa no Omotenashi and the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters are all within a short distance. It is convenient for guests staying in the hotel to visit the area. The decoration of the guest rooms is very sophisticated, and each well-equipped room is equipped with air conditioning. At the end of the day, you can enjoy the hotel’s massage room.

The hotel has been refurbished, and the Japanese hotel has been kept clean as a whole. It ’s an extraordinary period when it ’s gone. The hotel ’s cleaning and disinfection is still good. There is a disposable disinfectant at the elevator entrance. Soak up the fatigue, the hot springs are not big, but there should be some. Breakfast is usually given 75 points. The room is large in Osaka, and the transportation is also convenient. Exit 12 from Sakaisuji Honcho Station on the Sakaisuji Line. Also convenient. The only drawback is that the hotel seems to be with the business building. The entrance and exit in the morning is a bit complicated, but the security is OK

A great thing about this hotel is the location. It is within a very reasonable walking distance of Osaka Castle, and there is an elevator going down to a subway station (serving two different subway lines) literally about 20 feet from the hotel door. There are also excellent supermarkets with deli-style, ready-to-eat Japanese foods (sashimi, tataki, octopus legs, clams, etc.) about 15 minutes walk away. Also there are numerous convenience stores nearby, and a McDonald's restaurant just down the street... for the faint of heart. Other good points are the polite staff, the reasonably well laid-out bathroom, the coin-operated clothes washers and dryers being available, and the powerful air conditioning which stays on when you are not there. The free breakfast was more or less all Japanese style food, but seemed good to me and in ample supply at the buffet table. Oh, and a kid can stay (and eat) with an adult for no additional charge. A negative is the Toyoko Inn policy of kicking out guests from 10 AM until 4 PM every day, while the rooms are cleaned. I was there with my 6 year old daughter in blazing hot August, and it sure would have been nice to swing by and cool off for an hour or so around 2 PM some days. Or maybe to hole up in there during a typhoon. Another negative is, the coin laundry is located in the breakfast room, and I believe the clothes dryers vent directly into the room air. Inevitably someone would get up to do laundry at 6 AM and have the breakfast room like a hot humid sauna by eating time. I shower in the morning, and really hated to feel that sweat pouring out of my body again so soon afterwards. And maybe the bed was a little on the hard side for me. One final gripe is that while a kid can stay with an adult for free, only one set of towels is provided unless you pay extra.

The price is really too high! After traveling in Japan for more than a week, I finally lived in a room where a family can straighten their legs! The front desk is Chinese-speaking. I don't know if we saw a child with us and also specially upgraded us for free. Children have their own beds! It turned out that sleeping alone on a bed was so cool! The bathtub and electric toilet are also complete, don't be too satisfied! The only thing is to take a subway or bus, but during the walk, I saw the quiet side of Osaka. Breakfast is not free for children under seven years old. The food in the morning was still plentiful and there were many choices. Don't sleep late. Don't hesitate to eat and live well, this is it!

The location of the hotel is the highest in the same district. It is in all directions. It is close to Kuromon Market, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. The Kobe beef and the Japanese restaurant diagonally opposite are downstairs recommended. The internal environment of the hotel is ok, the rooms are a bit old, but overall it is quite hygienic. This is the place to choose for the next family because it is only 10 minutes away from Namba Station and it is very convenient to take the subway to and from the airport!

My flight is 6pm, that's why i have to check out first & ask hotel to keep my baggage... but this hotel is rare,,,, Reception won't help us on this but tell u after check out, pls go the baggage storage room to check your baggage for yrself... first of all, storage room is so tiny, only one person can get inside... & hardly to put my heavy baggage there... anyway, u will take your own responsibility to lock yr baggage. So, this is really rare & so different from other hotel...

This hotel is average, and it ’s more convenient to eat and drink. I ’ll give you some science. I ’ll take the last stop of the Nankai Line from Kansai Airport to find Shinsaibashi. The hotel breakfast is usually full. Free ramen at 10:30 every night. It tastes good. I even eat three bowls of ravioli. It is suitable for children. There is parking lot and extra beds. The location of the hotel is close to the surrounding attractions. The hotel Features: Chinese service is available 24 hours a day. After 11 o'clock, you need to bring your room card to enter the hotel. The security is high, and the room has free drinks. If you have to vomit, the decoration is a bit old.
