In fact it was the most spacious room we had among all the hotels we stayed in Japan. There was space around the bed on three sides and space enough for a small table and a couple of chairs by the window to sip on your cup of tea in the morning or evening. Our room on the top floor also had a splendid view of the city. Numazu is a charming town and Toyoko inn would be a highly recommended place to stay. They even had complimentary breakfast which starts at 7 but we needed to catch an early train so we couldn't sample that.
