A very decent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff in reception. The location is very good in proximity to everything. I stayed there between flights, and the journey from the airport was roughly 15 minutes. The front desk was very, very helpful. The room is basic, no kettele, no minibar fridge, but it was clean. The channels provided in the room are varied (no channels for children). The bed was very comfortable, and the shower, although a bit narrow, the water flow was good. The lifts were not working, so i had to use the stairs to get to my room or to the restaurant on the 4th floor. The restaurant was big clean with a huge balcony. The food was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers transiting in Tunis or waiting for a flight.

Negative: The moquettes are dirty and sliced as the restaurant seats. The ”quad” and ”pirate boat” services are poor and priceless. The real pirates are in the hotel ...A avoid ... The restaurant is very supermarket cafeteria. Although some supermarkets do much better. The price of the week is too high for the service and the country. The tourist has to pay and he does everything for. Positive: The staff is mostly sympathetic. The swimming pools are low (1m) but pleasant. The beach is in contact with the hotel.

What a fabulous place to stay. A beautiful Art Deco Building right in the centre with easy access to the Medina, shops, restaurants, railway, etc. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly from the Reception to the dining room staff and housekeeping. On arrival we were allocated a room on the lst floor at the rear of the building. There was a small block of flats not far from the hotel building where unfortunately there was a dog that barked a lot of the time which included late into the night and very early morning. It appeared to be left out on the balcony. I don't know what the hotel can do about this but it is a problem. The next day we were given a room on the 3rd floor at the front of the building. So thank you to the gentleman at reception who arranged this. It was perfect, no noise and like the first room was of a decent size and comfortable. The breakfast spread was great with hot and cold dishes and a lovely selection of cheeses, breads, pastries and much much more. A true feast. A well deserved Excellent rating (despite the barking dog) and we will definitely stay again.

Location is right in the heart of Tunis, close to all amenities, Professional staff always willing to help. Must also highlight the gentlemen at the door, at one occasion I was coming from across the road with a heavy box it was within seconds that the gentlemen noticed me from far away struggling with the box and came to assist with the box and carried it for me all the way to the room. Front office agents, Food & Beverage service staff, Housekeeping, Laundry all been great. Breakfast was good. Met a couple of occasions with the General Manager of the Hotel and he made it a point to sit with me and ask how my stay was. Could have not asked for more. Service of the hotel and the cleanliness was impeccable The hotel is old and tiered and deserves a renovation along with up gradation of systems such as elevators, AC, WIFI etc these seems to have been a reoccurring issue of certain breakdowns of systems during my 4 days stay, However I must admit that rectification of breakdowns did not take long to be maintained and back in action. The rooms are large with most of them views of the city, The hotel has so much potential taking into consideration the level of service they provide should it be renovated.

Scheduled for a superior triple room with children. But the bed was itchy. . . I don't feel clean. It's still so expensive. Not very satisfied. No free water, then the waiter stood in the room and asked for a tip. A little awkward. However, the attitude of the service staff was really good, and they accompanied me to buy supper at midnight. The location of the hotel is also super good, right outside the main street. very convenient. In fact, it is cheaper to spend money and live here.

Not only if the location superb, literally at the entrance to the Medina where shops and food vendors are steps away, but it’s also such a pretty and unique hotel. The decor is gorgeous and the views overlooking the Medina square is great for people watching. Service is great as well! The staff is very helpful. Everything felt very safe as well. I highly recommend this unique stay while in Tunis!

Le Chambre Bleue was an excellent bed and breakfast located just outside of the Northwestward edge of the Tunis Medina. The owner and his wife were just so incredibly kind to us and really made us feel as part of their family during our stay. Any issues were handled with hast and they were so helpful arranging transportation for us. Beer and wine was available for purchase as well as free bottle water! Will recommend Le Chambre Bleue to our Friends! Breakfast may have been the highlight though, every morning being a little different than the previous. Homemade jams and bread were a highlight!

In Tunis for one night, our manager reserved us to the diplomat.. and what error!!! This pseudo 4 stars is 15 minutes from Carthage Airport. Vesty decor, smell of cracked walls ...a hotel over time. The rooms are a valid copy of the hall and the rest of the hotel, with a 70's brine where everything is refreshed, used...Even the TV channels were in fashion.. analogical!! The only positive note, the kindness of the staff who prepared a late dinner despite the closure of the rest.

Stayed here for 2 nights while in transit between vacation stops. It’s a lovely hotel with good rooms, friendly staff and good restaurants. I always felt safe and it’s also close to the airport. The views aren’t much nor is it located close to anything touristy but that’s ok as it is a modern, safe hotel with excellent staff. The gym is great which for me is a big deal - I enjoy working out at the facilities and they must be clean, either good equipment and a good space. The staff all spoke English and were friendly - highly recommend if you are looking in Tunis.

I chose this hotel because I saw the highest score among the four-star hotels in Ctrip. The overall Tunisian hotel score is not high, and this one is just fine. Food is OK although not outstanding for the price. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. Minuses: Being 5 star is more than just listing the facilities. Patchy levels of service with reasonable requests being met with unhelpfulness. Some of the decor, fittings and furniture is very poorly maintained. No alcohol served in the hotel or anywhere around, apparently because the entire area was or is owned by the Saudis.

First sisters trip to Tunisia, the overall experience was really good. It makes a difference to where you stay and the people you interact with. People in Tunis are really nice, polite and helpful. Our First experience was with Dar El Jeld. We felt so welcomed by the staff. I would like to personally thank few of the staff. Emily for being really accommodating, always has a smile on her face, very helpful and informative. Adul Kadir, Firouz and Yousuf, the security guys, they helped us when we needed to go anywhere, at times they went with us so we did not get lost and Arslan, he was the driver for the hotel. He went out of his way to accommodate to our needs. Made the children comfortable to a point they considered him family and referred to Dar El Jeld as home. Lastly the receptionist in the spa (forgot her name) she was amazing. They are all truely an asset to the hotel. I will definitely recommend this place. In the heart of Madina with the market right next to the hotel. We felt very safe at all times. Rooms are very nice and spacious, very clean, scenic view from rooftop. You just can't go wrong with this hotel. I will definitely stay there again.

It only costs 20 dinars from Tunisia airport to this hotel, but the airport rental is too bad and charges 50 dinars You, especially the hotel’s parking taxi drivers, must take pictures and keep them in order to avoid complaints when they are cheated. I stayed in this hotel for a night, and I warn you, nothing is recommendable, except that dinner can be acceptable, not even extraordinary. For the rest, it is horrible: very little receptionist and who jokes with his pot while I was talking with him, very loaded street side room without double glass( I let you imagine the noise) And cerezes on the cake already infected nearby with a night box that, from 22 or 23h, makes all the walls of the room vibrate up to at least 2h of the morning. I have not closed the eye of the night. For the price you are requesting, you will find much better elsewhere.

This hotel is located in the center of Tunisia and is an old hotel. As soon as I entered the hotel, I saw the big boss of the hotel supervising the work at the front desk. The boss also walked back and forth and helped with the management of the hotel. This was very impressive. The boss is polite and warm. I booked a suite this time and it was very clean and comfortable. The most unique thing is that there is a stool in the bathtub. This is specially arranged for the elderly or travelers with limited mobility. This is very thoughtful and deserves praise. It was very peaceful to sleep at night. The suite has a balcony with city views. The room includes meals, and the food is local specialties and delicious. I will stay at this hotel next time I go to Tunisia.

I absolutely loved this place. The location is perfect, in the charming streets of the Medina but out of the hubbub. The place itself is stunning - I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel - and I was warmly looked after by Munir and the rest of the staff from the moment I arrived. Everyone was chilled and interesting, and respected the peaceful atmosphere of the hostel. I'm sure I'll be back, and in the meantime, am glad to recommend this as highly as I can.
