I stay in quite a few hotels in Japan, but this is a first for me. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from JR Tachikawa Station. On the walk from the station to the hotel, there lots of convenience stores and places to eat. The hotel is situated close to the Hotel Nikko as well. However, this hotel is much cheaper and good for the money. No problems with check in, I thought I heard Staff speaking English, but I used Japanese. Initially, I was checked into a single room, but honestly it looked bigger. Very nice room, very cosy. Please see pictures. Had an issue with noise with the people next door. The TV was very loud and also it sounded like there was something else going on. So, impossible to relax, I complained about the noise. I wouldn’t say the walls are too thin, the guests next door, were LOUD. Called the front desk again, and said I wanted a new room. Within 10 minutes they had moved me to a twin, but much larger room. (Please see pictures). Not my ideal situation, but I guess the staff thought I would like the bigger room, with bigger bathroom. After that, it was all good. Someone said breakfast was not so good here? In my opinion, it was very good for a hotel of this price. I’ve had much worse breakfasts from bigger chains. The breakfast area is quite big and opens from 06:30. In my opinion, again, a good hearty breakfast with salad, Japanese options and Western style as well. Good coffee too. I think this hotel has vending machines and microwaves on 3 floors. Also, I know they have a coin laundry but I cannot say how many machines and on what floors. Just so you know, there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. Also, if you go under the railway, you will find more places as well, including department stores. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, for personal stays, when I’m looking for something for 1-2 nights, I would stay in a “My Stay” in a heartbeat. I hope their other hotels, are of this standard. Overall, very good value and comfortable for what you pay. I look forward to staying with them again.

I stayed here in February for 7 days. This hotel has a wedding department on the 2nd floor of the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and wedding pictures are always taken there. The staff is very gracious and helpful. The restaurant is pricey but the food is tasty. There buffet breakfast is full of both Japanese and American types of foods. You can get omelets to order and eggs sunny side up too. The rooms are spacious for Japan. A double bed and a desk and a lounge chair with a stand up lamp and an end table. They have a business center for printing needs and a laundry room on the 1st floor for guests to use. They sell soap at the front desk. The dryer was not working properly so it took 1 hr and 30 min and it was still not dry. If you join their hotel club (for free )you get free newspaper, bottle of water and parking daily. Great deal. Housekeeping staff was courteous and polite. You could put out your do not disturb sign and they would not bother you. You then could ask housekeeping as they pass you room for cleaning to get supplies you need, clean towels, razor, wash cloth, etc. This hotel is near the Tachikawa train station and numerous little eateries right around it. Starbucks, Crispy Cremes, Wendy's, MacDonalds, etc. I would recommend you stay there if you are in the neighborhood.

The hotel is just situated above the JR station, which made everything very convenient! Room was clean and I was able to get a bit of view of Mount Fuji tip when the sky was clear. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful. There were 4 choices to choose from the breakfast menu and all of them were yummy.

Was at Tachikawa for a workshop and stayed for 2 nights. Upon stepping into the lobby, one can see that hotel is rather old with its dated decor and trimmings. Service: The staff at the Front Desk were very polite and spoke decent english. We had arrived early at 1230 pm which was before the check-in timing. They offered to hold our luggage while we went out for lunch. Just as we were about to leave, the Front Desk came running over to inform us that our room is ready and we could check-in immediately. Room: We had book a triple bedder room. Room size was fairly large for Japanese standards. There were 3 rather wide single beds in the room and even with a small coffee table and chairs, we could still open 2 full sized luggage on the floor. The room was clean and came a small wardrobe unlike other hotels which are mostly hangers on railings. Toilet came with a full size bathtub too. Location: It's just a 10 min walk from the North exit of Tachikawa station. One can find numerous restaurants and 24 hrs convenience store around the hotel. Huge Don Quijote store is located right in front of the hotel while Daiso, Isetan, Takashimaya and BIC camera are just round the corner. Transport: The airport limo bus stops at the bus stop just 10 metres in front of the hotel. We had arrived to Tokyo via Narita but found the 2.5 hr limo bus to be rather pricey. Instead, we took a 1000 yen shuttle bus from Narita to Tokyo Station before hopping onto the Chuo Line to Tachikawa, The journey took a shorter time and cost only a fraction of the limo bus

The access from the station is good and the service is not a problem. There are many restaurants nearby. I think that there is no problem at all for staying in business.

Check in process was standard. I arrived a little early, transferring from another hotel, and my room was not yet available. I did show up a few hours before check in time, but as standard in business hotels in Japan, they did not offer me access to the room early. I was able to store my luggage and it was waiting in my room when I checked in later and got access to the room. I booked a smoking room but it didn't seem to book correctly and I was given a non-smoking room. The hotel had no issue changing it after the first night, even offering to move my packed bags from one room to another. The non-smoking room was smaller than the smoking room, but it could be because the smoking room had two beds versus one. The rooms on the smoking floor used actual keys instead of the keycards on the other floors. Room was fine, typical of a Japanese business hotel, so on the smaller side. No pants press or ironing board in the room, however, it was located in the vending machine/ice room. Odd location for it, the ironing board wasn't in very good shape but it worked fine with the iron. I didn't like this setup, personally, and wouldn't recommend this for business travelers on extended stays that might need to use the iron. Besides that, everything was clean, the lobby was nice, the location was only a few minutes away from the train station, many options to eat and shop in the area. I would say that this building is fairly tired and needs a refresh, but everything in it still worked fine.

This is a reliable Toyoko-everything is standard for a Toyoko and it is one of the few that are located close to a station along the Chuo line. Reason for 3 stars is that the breakfast on both days was noticeably less than other Toyoko's. protein was essentially only prepared fish. No juice; no condiments like jelly or butter. Can't go wrong with the price and if you want to be on the Chuo line, this is a good place. Just not in the highest level compared to others in the Toyoko chain.
