Although we only spent two nights here (attending the wedding of our first German exchange student) we found the location to be central to our needs, quiet and most comfortable. Great neighborhood with a nearby park. The German breakfast fruhstuck was amazing and included in the price. Staff are exceptional and speak English, a boon to us benighted monolinguists.

My husband and I stay in Bad Godesberg for a couple of weeks each year and have lunch at the Insel on several occasions during our stay. There is an English menu and the waitresses are very helpful, polite and efficient. There is an outside area with sunshades, on the square to sit and watch the world go by as you eat, or you can stay in the air con. There is a different menu for inside. All the food is delicious, hence we always return. PS the toilets are spotless

There is no good reason to stay in Bad Godesberg. It’s a pleasant enough town but not much there. If you do end up staying in Bad Godesberg, avoid staying at this hotel. It doesn’t have much atmosphere but boasts small, old fashioned rooms. I was first given a room on the first floor (US: second floor), facing the Rheinallee. I switched very quickly for two main reasons. For one, the room was shockingly uncomfortable. Small, cramped, old and just depressing. Secondly, the Rheinallee is a fairly busy road with lots of buses and unless you’re a heavy sleeper, it won’t be conducive to a good night’s sleep. Also, the outdoor restaurant seating right underneath the window added to the noise level, and the flimsy blinds would have meant bright daylight by 5 am in the summer. So I moved to the second floor (US: third) in a room facing the back. It was much quieter, seemed larger, and had much better blinds. It also had one special feature: a shower cabin inside the room. At a quick glance, it looked like a closet, and it didn’t bother me at all, but might be too quirky for some people. The room was alright, at least I didn’t feel depressed anymore, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say I liked it. Other than the less than exciting rooms, breakfast in the morning was ok, standard German fare, and staff were friendly. Location is not too bad, about a ten minute walk to the town centre and train station, and a 15 minute walk to the Rhine. I only stayed here because my hosts had booked the accommodation for me, and I would strongly recommend you find another place, preferably in Bonn.

People were kind, helped us both in German and English perfectly. Location is cosy and the neighbourhood is quiet in the evening. We asked at booking for a quiet room, and got one that looked out on the street in the secondary building. Any other day, this would have been fine, but there were roadworks going on that had started before we arrived and were only finished in the week after we left. This was only on the pavement, just in front of the hotel. Maybe we had the best room considering the circumstances, but we were awoken in the morning by a stone hammer and a (masonry?) drill; sleeping with the windows open for some fresh and cooler air during nighttime was not an option. Maybe a room with view on the garden next time or one that had no window on the side of the pavement ? Rooms were spacious. Drinks on the room were included, but with our visit the Cola Zero and red wine were not replenished the day after. There is no airconditioning; but it has all the perks to give you a warm and comfy feeling in the spring or autumn. Breakfast was simple yet complete. One day we had the scrambled eggs, and they were already cold, the other day the single loaf of bread and Brie-cheese was finished at the start of our breakfast and we did not see it replenished before we left. This at a time when there were hardly many other guests present. A few berries, olives or strips of avocado could uplift the selection quite a lot. The individually pre-packed (liege) waffles were of woeful quality. This was a cheap product with a very high shelf-life, resulting in a dry and blunt product. The breadbuns were crispy and they went well with the real or vegetable-based butter. WIFI was working, no fuss with the setup. Coffee and tea were good. Facilities in the room and bathroom also good. Cleanliness, was very good. 10/10 ! Lovely garden; and you could walk from the breakfast-room, which was very atmospheric with its lead-in-glass windows, into the garden. No problem if you would like to finish breakfast in the garden, or visa versa. You are in walking distance from subway/tram and train. The local commercial zone was also pretty nice for if you don't want to go into the Bonn-city centre. To the other side, you can find some good Italian restaurants. L'Unico is superb, but make reservations beforehand. In overall, it had just a few shortcomings but for the money spent, for two nights standard double room with breakfast, 250,- was a bit much for what we got.

We (family with a teen boy) loved this place and have visited on two separate occasions. We had two different caravans, first had the Zen theme, the second stay we had the seventies theme ( a lot of orange). The first night there was an issue with the heating and it was extremely hot. The next night we complained and the adjusted the temperatures and all was fine. Both caravans were nice. Only the beds were a bit to hard to my liking and the pillows are tiny. I added a sweater to the pillow case, because I woke up with a painful neck on the first night. The communal showers are clean and comfortable. Something to hang your clothes on outside the shower cabin would be great, so your clothes don't get splashed on. The overal atmosphere and service from staff are great. We enjoyed the creative decoration and noticed it is an ongoing process as we returned 3 weeks later to see changes already made. The hostel is accessible by our old van that does not have a green sticker, as it is just litterly meters away from the border of the Umwelt Zone. You can download the nextbike app, or use their bikes to get around. Breakfast was simple but good. We have send around photo's and recommended this hostel to others already!

I booked multiple rooms at this hotel for our group, and stayed there myself for one night. The staff at the reception was helpful and accommodating in making the booking, especially at a very busy time of the year, and they also accommodated the fact that some of our guests wanted to check in early. However, I found it to be very expensive, likely due to the fact that it was a busy time in Bonn due to some other conferences. The hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood, classic of Bonn. However, it is located right next to the train tracks, which makes it difficult to sleep at night as it is very noisy. They have limited reception hours from 7am to 5:30pm - I think you have to be a pretty independent traveller to be comfortable with this, which I am, but this kind of limited service is not for everyone. In addition to that, breakfast is not open on holidays. If you arrive outside of these hours, check-in is done on a terminal, which was really simple to use. The hotel room was nice and modern. I enjoyed the kitchenette, although I didn't use everything it's nice to have a microwave, a stove element (with pots and pans) and a fridge. However, with this, I would have expected something like tea bags or pouches of instant coffee, but there was nothing. In that sense I found it very minimal. The breakfast was good, in my opinion. It has a wide and healthy selection, and I was happy with it. Definitely worth the extra 8 euros.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels that my husband and I have ever stayed in! Upon arriving we were welcomed by the staff of the hotel and restaurant. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet always. We found that we didn't want to eat anywhere else because the food and service was outstanding. Close to the autobahn which made it easy to do day trips. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any of our family and friends. Thank you for the warm hospitality it was a pleasure to stay at your establishmental and look foward to one day returning.

The hotel was amazing. I booked a room with a riverside view and it totally matched with my expectation. Spacious room and extremely comfortable bed. If you are not familiar with the city and want to be close to the city center, the hotel might be a bit far away from the main sightseeings, but in general in Bonn you can easily reach every single touristic spot. If you are with a car, you have two options: to use the hotel's parking (20 EUR per day) or the parking just behind the hotel (15 EUR per day). I would definitely choose this hotel again, if I am again in Bonn.

Highly recommended! Bonn preferred! The location is next to bonn hbf! Directly sb60 direct from Cologne Bonn Airport! There are many advantages: it is very close to the main fire, and it is out. The hotel is fully equipped, the lobby and rooms are similar to the domestic 4 star level, very clean, not old, and air conditioned. Close to the train station, but not noisy. Service is good, send water, send Bonn all-day ticket, just sit, take the main fire 607 beuel turn Re straight to Long Fort, Figure 4 Long Fort. The price is not so expensive, there are more than 300 single rooms, and the double is a little more expensive. The price of Ctrip is better than that of booking. If you want to stay in Bonn, you can order it here.

Bonn City Center
Stayed here for four days during a mini-vacation and liked it. It is located a 5-10 minutes walk away from the main attractions of the city center. The hotel is on five floors, I was at the top floor. Travelling as a single, my room was quite small, but on the other hand it was efficiently in terms of interior, with distinict spaces for sleeping and working, in addition to a nice bathroom area. The only awkward thing was the location of the TV screen, as your nect would hurt if you tried to watch it from bed. But I didn't care much, I don't stay at hotels to watch TV. Breakfast was very nice, must say that the range of choice was very good for this quite small hotel. Great staff, both reception- and breakfast-wise. I can see why people rate this hotel at top notch, as it probably will exceed expectations for a three star hotel. When I rate it at four, it's because it is clearly not five stars (and maybe my expectations were hight based on the many positive reports here, too....) Nothing to complain about really, it is obviously good value. Cleaning looked nice, just make a mention that one morning I saw a dead wasp on the floor at the window, it was still there when I returned in the afternoon after cleaning. But it doesn't matter much. Enjoy.

Definitely recommend staying in a tree house for the fun factor. There are, of course, normal rooms, but when a tree house is on offer, you have to go for it. Lovely and snug, but enough room for two. All the usual amenities, coffee, hairdryer, toiletries, free mini bar with beers and water, all with a cool design. The bed is on one level (up stairs) and then you can place a ladder to the small mezzanine to get to the chill out area with 2 big bean bags. There is also a lounging seat and a pull out table with 2 chairs. The inside is clad in pine so has a lovely smell. The well designed bathroom has a door you can slide across to the loo or slide across to use the (very good) shower. Makes a great change from boring hotel rooms.

Hausdorfstrasse is a long, straight road about 6 km from Bonn city centre. At night it would be helpful to have a light over the hotel sign. Our first floor carpetted room was larger than average with two single beds pushed together but made up as singles. There was a desk area with chair, and two easy chairs. The room lacked a safe and a fridge. There were lights by the beds but they were not suitable for reading. The bathroom was modern, tiled in grey and white with a shower over the bath. The wash basin was set in a surface the length of the room so there was plenty of space for toilet bags etc. Liquid soap, tissues, hairdryer with nozzle, soft towels and plenty of hot water. Although situated on a fairly busy suburban street, the hotel was not noisy and we slept well. We found a nice Italian restaurant a short walk away. Breakfast was served on nice white china with a good range of foodstuffs. The staff were helpful.
