We boooked in very late and the member of staff who was working on reception was veryhelpful and very good to us. she could not do enough for us. we were very stressed as the holtel we had originally booked was awful and we could not stay there. we did not book into the premier in till around 1 am in the morning . We did not get the member of staffs name so I hope this feedback gets to her. We would definately stay in this hotel again if we ever come back to birmingham. we came up from Gillingham in Dorset. The hotel room was lovely and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would definately reccomend this premier Inn

The stay at Bromsgrove Hotel & Spar was a nice stay, receptionist was nice. The room was clean, big and comfortable had a nice tv and everything you need in the room. Only advice I would give to this hotel is prepare cups instead of paper ones. Apart from that everything was perfect. I would stay again.

Granted it doesn't look the best from the outside but the rooms are spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable beds. Unbelievable value for money. Hot and powerful shower. Bright white clean towels. And quiet considering the function room downstairs plays music loud. The breakfast was incredible value for money. I slept perfectly well. What more can you ask for ar £45 a night?

I went to the airport and the taxi that the hotel called me for 30 pounds (I am a person), Google Maps is very convenient to find.

The hotel is located in the south of Birmingham, with convenient life and many supermarkets and restaurants. Newer, because there are family rooms, breakfast included, affordable, I chose here. However, because the hotel allows pets and many black guests bring dogs, the hotel rooms have a smell. Thank you Ctrip for always being around, and everything is resolved immediately.

The hotel is a Hilton hotel so I expected more. I was quite shocked to learn there is was no room service. Initially, I thought the bank holiday couldn’t have been the issue. To my greatest surprise, this went on for the rest of my stay. I practically had to go downstairs to the 3rd floor every time I wanted a bottle of water. On one occasion I asked why there was no service, the staff asked me to call and speak with Hilton staff directly as his was a 3-star hotel. In his words, “this is a 3-star hotel, what do you expect” 😒 Breakfast was the same everyday, boring. Sheets were clean, room was clean and cozy though, so not too bad.

Birmingham Marriott Hotel is in a good location from the train station and it is 8 pounds 💷 there is a big supermarket hotel near the hotel. The service is very good. I don't know English. I use the translator to tell the front desk staff that they are very patient. The help of my hotel is very clean. The price of the hotel in Ctrip is not expensive. We have four rooms in one room. The two big beds have been lived several times. It is very satisfying and worth recommending to everyone.

Fabulous hotel in the heart of Birmingham. Walk is not too far to Broad street which is where we were headed. The decor is tastefully done and the pool table on the 1st floor was greatly enjoyed for a little bit of relaxation and competitiveness. Stayed in a Penter plus room on the 7rh floor and despite the lack of bath robe and slippers which it stated on trip, the room was modern, fresh, clean and comfortable.

Needed somewhere central for a meet up with friends from around the UK. This certainly met the location requirements, but the downside was the general area. Crowded, noisy and - in the evening - swarming with lots of very drunk, shouty punters. Probably not really suitable for nervous or elderly visitors who might feel quite intimidated. Enter through the sliding glass doors through the entrance hall. It all looks like it was designed so it could be hosed down in the aftermath of troublesome guests and the security guard looked like he would struggle to handle any difficult situation. At reception there were no staff to be seen and both check-in screens were out of action. The button to press for attention was actually missing from one of the screens. Checked in after a bit of confusion on the part of the staff member and got the room cards. Friends found they were missing a large towel so asked at reception when we were on the way out for the evening. They were given one but then had to take it back to their room themselves - obviously housekeeping would be too much to expect. Communal decor was all really tired and not very welcoming. We all had executive rooms on the 7th floor and the space was fine, design and decoration was good with a view of the city skyline to wake up to, and they were really quiet bearing in mind how busy the street below was. Bed was a reasonable size, but the mattress wasn’t very firm so rolling together was unavoidable. Overall we got the impression of a place doing the least possible, with the fewest number of staff just to function at a really basic level. Not particularly welcoming and an overall impression of a business that’s not doing anything more than the bare minimum. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed here as a family during the Commonwealth games and were more than happy with the hotel. We stayed in a family room with a sofa bed made up for the children - perfect size for two toddlers but might be a squeeze for two older children. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the City centre. Lovely walk along the canal to Brindley Place and Sealife Centre. The hotel has its own underground car park which is a real bonus priced at £13 per night. Follow the one way system round to the rear of the hotel and you'll see the entrance. The hotel was full to capacity but still plenty of spaces. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, but we used the free drinks vending machine in reception instead. Good selection of drinks and available 24 hours. We added breakfast on the last morning and it was £9 per adult, children free. Good selection of cooked breakfast, cereals, continental. Overall a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we came to Birmingham again.

We stayed here for our anniversary and what a stunning room we had! I loved all the small details added to the room and the bathroom was lovely. I was amazed at the interior of this hotel, it really is stunning! The owner of the hotel is extremely friendly, as are all the staff. We were warmly welcomed into the hotel which was lovely. The hotel is just a short walk into the city centre - we walked down and got an Uber back because it was extremely cold (an Uber from the city centre only cost us £4.50). Breakfast was also included in our hotel stay and this was lovely. They give you a huge choice of what you can have and you can order as much as you like! The breakfast was lovely, gorgeous poached eggs and sausages! We really loved this hotel and will definitely be visiting again!

On the whole my experience here was excellent apart from one single thing, when I arrived in my room there was fan on to try and keep the space comfortable. The fan itself was very dirty and because it required a screwdriver to open I could do nothing other than try and brush the dust off the outside of it. I've no idea how long it had been blowing dirty over the room for but since it was late when I noticed how dirty it was I had no choice but to turn it off and hope I didn't melt in the night.

The hotel is a basic hotel, but the price is very low, All the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. It was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The room was of ambient temperature. It is in a busy club area but on the 8th floor we couldn't hear noise from the clubs however at 03:00 am someone was kicking on a door shouting and swearing, he stopped but started again 30 minutes later at this point I had to call security and although we didn't hear anything else we didn't sleep. I think the hotel should ban people who behave like this.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for 2 nights, on the fifth floor, with a 2 year old toddler. Overall our stay was ok, the apartment had what we needed, was well located and noise was minimal at night. Cleanliness was ok but could be improved eg stains on armchairs in living room, dust on shower curtain rail. Good range of items at breakfast. However a couple of issues we flagged to reception: At the breakfast buffet on our last morning, I filled up my toddler’s milk cup with milk from the fridge, before passing it to another guest, and then filling up his cereal with the same bottle. Luckily, before he’d drunk much of the milk, the other guest came over to tell me she thought the milk was off and had seen me fill up a sippy cup with it. My husband tasted it and confirmed it was sour and fizzy. I went to check the fridge and there were several bottles of milk that had gone past their clearly stated sell by dates, including one that didn’t have a cap on. I immediately told breakfast staff who had been moving bottles around with ample opportunity to check dates, and didn’t receive an apology. Later we told reception, they apologised but no remedial action offered. Had the other guest not informed me, my son and other guests could have been very sick. Staff need to be trained to check sell by dates on items at offer at breakfast, before putting them out for guests to use. We had another issue with the travel cot supplied, it didn’t have a proper mattress, just a folded up board. Reception did offer to bring up towels/sheets to fold and act as a mattress but I thought this was poor. We ended up buying a travel cot mattress for our stay. These combined issues affected our stay so can’t give more than 2 stars.

Stayed for one night before attending an event at the NEC. Arrived quite late & had a family room. The room smelt, stains on carpet, dirty carpets & chair (found nail clippings on the carpet!) Fire alarm/sprinkler was covered up with a plastic bag!!! Shower not good & made loud noises when running. We have stayed here before & never had a problem so maybe time for a refurb!! No one at reception on check in or check out. Not a complaint about the staff as they were busy running restaurant/bar also! Left early morning & again no one in reception to speak to. I have tried to make a complaint to Travelodge but it doesn't seem an easy process. Awaiting a reply to my case number!! Would not stay here again

The hotel is located in the jewelry district of Birmingham. Although it is a Hilton hotel, it is a bit surprising compared to domestic hotels. The room is not large, the basic facilities are complete, like most of these hotels in foreign countries, do not provide toiletries, bottled mineral water, disposable slippers, etc., you need to bring your own! The decoration style is simple and practical! The lobby and the restaurant are together, not big but warm, the English breakfast can meet the basic needs, and there are not many types, mainly bread, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, milk, bacon, English sausage, etc.; The St. Martin's Church and the Niuhuan Shopping Center in the city center are about 20 minutes' walk away. If you come mainly to travel and return to the hotel at the basic night, it should be a good choice! It is recommended to book as early as possible before travel, the price discount is relatively large!

This apart-hotel is very centrally located, and it is easy to get around on foot for shopping, dining, bars, entertainment, and more. The property itself is in a pedestrianised area, which is great as you do not have to dodge traffic while getting back to your apartment in the dark! The reception area is very simple and minimalist, which is also great because you can head straight for the lift rather than having lots of distractions every step of the way. The reception team was always polite and professional. When we checked in, our room was not ready, but when we returned after lunch, they had already taken our cases up to the apartment for us. The apartment itself was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. We had a clubman apartment, which had the added bonus of a nice large bathtub. The bedroom was small but perfectly fine for our 4-night stay. The kitchen area had everything you need to cook for yourself if you wish, although we did not cook at all. There was a juicer and coffee machine but no instructions. As we are clueless about such things, we ended up using neither. The views from the apartment are stunning, particularly at night when everything is lit up. It was a lovely, relaxed stay and I would definitely stay at these apartments again for the comfort, convenience, and location.

We made a booking in October 2021 for a stay in August 2022 for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham - we booked via Booking.com and received no indication that anything was amiss with our booking. To our surprise, we arrived at the property 4 hours before we were due to go to the Games to find out that our room had been cancelled earlier on in 2022 and we hadn’t received any notification of this. There were several other groups in the bar area of the hotel with the same issue. The lady at the hotel advised us that this was a Booking.com issue and that the hotel had fulfilled their duties in that they’d told Booking that the rooms should be cancelled. That being said, there were others in the bar who had arrived to the same issue who had booked via other online agencies (Hotels.com etc) so, in hindsight, I find it hard to believe that several booking sites had forgotten to inform guests that their booking had been cancelled. As an outsider, it seems like it was an issue on the hotels side rather than the online agencies. Thankfully Booking reaccommodated us in an alternative property that had availability though this made what should have been an exciting day, rather stressful. Whoever the issue lay with, I’m disappointed that nobody attempted to contact us. The hotel could see our cancelled reservation on their system so it seems a shame they couldn’t make sure we knew our hotel was cancelled when it was supposedly cancelled months in advance. It also seems convenient that everybody who was impacted by this issue had booked last year when the commonwealth games dates/locations had only just been announced, so we all had booked at very reasonable rates. I looked online a couple of weeks prior to check in and noticed rooms at this hotel going for ~£200 more for the same 2 nights. Those customers who had booked more recently seemed to have no issue with their bookings being honoured. Whether the issue was on the hotels side or the various online websites people had booked with, it’s disappointing that none of us in the bar were even offered so much as a free soft drink while we were all spending a long time trying to contact those we had booked with to find alternative accommodation, there was a couple in the bar who actually missed one of the sessions they had tickets for while trying to sort the mess out. I can’t comment on the rooms in this hotel, though I was quite worried after seeing some of the recent reviews, but I can say that if you have a booking upcoming at this property, I strongly suggest you call them to make sure you actually have a booking otherwise you might have a very stressful arrival into Birmingham like we did.

First time staying in this hotel so was unsure what to think however the room is so comfortable and clean. Neli, the member of staff at the front desk, was so helpful and checked us in quickly and answered all the questions we had. It was nice to be greeted with a smile when checking in. The rooms are on the small side but the layout worked very well and makes the most of the space. The bathroom is clean and provides shampoo, body wash etc for people who are travelling light. Luckily the rooms have air conditioning which is perfect for these hot summer nights. Definitely recommend, amazing deal for the price!

There is a large shopping mall opposite, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city center. The hotel has an old-fashioned elevator, which is very slow, but it can also be used, and you can feel the retro feel. Exceeding expectations for a stay, very satisfied!

Great service & patience. Because my friends and I were going to go shopping, they helped us store our luggage for free and kept it well. The hotel also placed a soothing lavender bag at night~
