0.15km from Caffetteria La SapienzaWe had an enjoyable stay for 2 nights here back in June. The place is lovely, very atmospheric in an old, typical building. Rooms well decorated and very clean. The hostel is quite high up with a fair bit of stairs to climb if you have heavy luggage. There is a little lift in the building though which we didn't know about when we arrived so if you have bags use it! The location is excellent- 5 mins walk from Via dei Tribunali with loads of pizzerias, bars, restaurants. Some sights are walkable and the metro station is really close as well. The breakfast experience is a little bit odd as it is served in a tiny cafe across the road where you get to choose from some quiches and pastries and juices made by the owner which all seem to be carrot based... Regardless, we weren't really expecting breakfast so it was a nice surprise and more than enough to get your day started. Some things to improve upon- as this is more of a hostel the reception is not open 24hr so you have to arrange a time of arrival- this was actually all fine even though our flight was a bit delayed. However, there is no set time during the day where reception is open- when we asked we were told “I’ll probably be here until 3pm” but then there was no one there from 1pm. So be wary if you need anything that you might not be able to catch anyone! It would be better to have set times during the day so guests know when to expect someone there. We also agreed the receptionist would arrange a taxi to the airport for us but this never happened so we had to sort this out ourselves which was not great especially if you are promised this will be done. The other issue is that wifi signal was poor and kept cutting out. Otherwise nice play to stay and I would recommend it for a few days in Naples.
