0.01km from Caffetteria San GennaroPositives: Air con is good and keeps the room nice and cool Location is great for tourism Internet works well Negatives: The advertising is quite misleading and I’m pretty convinced that they write their own reviews,so here is an honest review. The room is noisy but this is because it is on one of the main (and best) streets in Naples, we stayed there three nights and got woken up from cars, motorbikes and people. It’s not really what I would class as a bed and breakfast, you get given a room in a building and a token to have one pastry and one coffee at a little place round the corner. There is a choice of about 3 pastries, none of which are particularly nice or fresh, the coffee isn’t great either. The setting is in a little square, which is okay. They also won’t bring the coffee and pastry over to you, you ask for it then collect it which didn’t bother us. We supposedly had a “King room” which was very small, we were climbing over each other for the three days, no room to store our bags. The balcony is just large shutters leading on to the street, there’s no room to sit there or anything. The room was clean but the pillow cases were stained. The bathroom is functional, the shower works fine ect but again the bathroom is very small. The taxi service from the airport was good and reasonable but make sure you take cash with you to pay there and then for this service. The cash machine was broken at the airport and we flew in at 11pm. Initially the host said we could pay in cash the next day,12h in to the trip and we were getting repeated messages and phone calls, all over €30 Euro for the taxi and tourist tax (not sure if this is real, check it out). It was pretty annoying, especially as we had a further two nights there - we weren’t going to run off anywhere! Overall at £60 a night it’s okay if you know what to expect.
