Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Klinikák Metro Station within walking distance. Guests will find Hungarian Natural History Museum, Markusovszky Square and Sacred Heart Catholic Church just a short distance from the hotel. Stayed for 4 nights and room was only serviced twice when we put the request on the door handle. When the room was serviced the toiletries were not replenished. After reading other reviews we kept our belongings in the safe or locked in our suitcases. The room was clean enough but some of the bedside lighting was damaged. The manager was rude to some of our party refusing to open the small bar despite it being early to mid evening and not late. He had no trouble entertaining his friends at the bar though. The breakfast was badly set out, the food was poor, there were queues for the inadequate tea/coffee machines and if you wanted fried eggs you had to wait as they were done at the breakfast bar on request. The scrambled eggs were the usual slop and the groups of visitors coming down like locusts cleared the food on offer quickly with late arrivals to breakfast left waiting and wondering if more would come. The dining room was very understaffed and at times simply chaos. On a lighter note I witnessed for the first time in my life people putting Danish pastries on a plate with sloppy baked beans. UGH! Sums it up really. Poor hotel, poor breakfast, poor piace to go to and if you have a choice (we didn't), then be sure to go elsewhere.

Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of January. Hotel was very easy to find almost opposite Semmelweis Klinikak Metro station though I arrived at the weekend so on the M3 replacement bus service. Checking in was fast though the tourist tax appears to be based on the room rate the supplier pays to hotel not what you pay to the supplier as it was considerably more than the 4% I was expecting to pay. I had emailed in advance and asked for a room on a high floor and ended up with a suite on the top floor with access to rooftop terrace and fantastic views over to the city and Gellert hill. Was only staying on a room only basis but having the fridge, kettle and microwave was great to make breakfast and snacks. There is a LIdl about 5 minutes walk away to stock up on supplies. Plentiful toiletries and towels in the bathroom though at times there was a bit of a drain smell which other travellers have commented on. Large double bed was also very comfy and always had a great nights sleep. Room was cleaned every day and a couple of times a fresh bottle of water was also supplied.

Staff at reception were really helpful and friendly easy to talk with.. room was satisfactory for the 3 nights I was there. The metro and Tram locations weren't far from the hotel ether. Not many faults well maybe only 2 beds are a bit on the small side well the single 1's we had could have been wider. going outside to smoke from the 2nd floor was strange but I think everywhere does that now wasn't a problem as I could have a nice seat outside at a smoking area. all in all not a bad experience.. recommend if you want peace and quiet.. thanks to all at the reception of the hotel only thing I didn't get your names.. Keep up the good work. thanks for a lovely week away . bea

The hotel should be chosen by tourists who are ready for hiking in the city. The hotel is located not far from the historical and tourist center. Within 10 minutes walk to the central part of the city, to the waterfront. There is private parking for cars. Friendly, multilingual staff. Breakfast buffet. Democratic prices for accommodation and food.

Booked to stay on honeymoon for five nights. We had requested a high floor in a quiet location which I understood was subject to availability. On arrival we were a bit disappointed to find we had been given a room overlooking the street, although we had been upgraded 2 bedroom and we had only booked a one. I did ask if we could be moved but unfortunately they were fully booked but did offer to move us the following day as there may be rooms available then. The room was ok, you could hear some street noise with cars etc going by but decided it wasn’t worth the upheaval to move. We were kindly left juice and water in the fridge plus a few others bits and pieces. The bed was comfortable, good amount of storage space, gorgeous L’Occitaint toiletries, soft towels, plenty of hot water. We did find that the hotel was a little bit warm, the coolers in the room didn’t seem to do much but we were lucky to have some hot weather for that time of year! There was a Lidl which was barely 5 minutes’ walk away and lovely large fridge if you wanted to do self-catering. There was a shopping centre and restaurants within walking distance and easy access to both the metro and trams to get you into the centre. The complimentary breakfast was superb, great selection of breads, pastries, cold meats, cheese, salad, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and hot offering of scrambled eggs, mini frankfurters and baked beans. There is a freshly squeezed juice of the day plus regular juices, teas and coffees. We actually spoke to the hotel manager one day in there who was very pleasant and asked about our trip to Budapest, mentioned we were on honeymoon and he asked our room number, we were delighted to find a bottle of local champagne when we got back later in the day! We had the same young man on reception nearly every day who was really helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would look to return in the future as Budapest has so much to offer and this hotel was perfect for us.

I stayed here for a week and from arrival, the reception was very helpful, even with language barrier. They organized a taxi from the airport. Room was very clean. There's a supermarket down below so super convenient if you want to cook in. Lots of eateries down below as well. Walking distance to the Metro station and buses. Corvin Plaza which is a mall is also 300m from the apartment. Safe and secure. Would definitely go back!

We come almost every year and this was the first time we used an apartment. We were concerned about some reviews we had read about the place but we had a very positive experience. The staff was very helpful before and during our stay. We respected the flats and didn't have any problem, nor any unexpected surcharge. The flat was clean. Everything was very straight forward. The location was great.

Husband and I stayed here 10th January to 13th. It’s a little way out of the city centre which we wanted as love walking-this meant it was pretty quiet, which for us is a bonus. We stayed in room 413 which looked out over the garden-very clean, very comfortable, with everything we needed including tea/coffee facilities and a free safe. Check in when we arrived was smooth and simple and the staff were friendly, particularly considering our inability to speak Hungarian. We stopped for a drink at the hotel bar-great service, incredibly good prices, and the option to either pay now or put it on your room bill. We did visit it a few times! The mini bar in the room is charged for but again is incredibly well priced. We don’t normally use them but actually did this time as so cheap. It stocks water, juices, soft drinks, beers and a couple of snacks. House keeping do a great job and even leave you a little note to explain why the mini bar etc hasn’t been re-stocked when you leave the do not disturb sign on. No need, but a nice touch. Breakfast was great-good selection of coffees from the machine, lots of hot and cold, sweet and savoury options. An excellent way to set yourself up for a full day of sight seeing. Didn’t try the closest restaurants or bars as they seemed like chain places where we wanted good authentic Hungarian places, but there did seem to be a lot nearby. We instead headed more into the centre. Even on check out the staff were helpful, more than willing to store our luggage whilst we went off exploring on our last day. Really can’t fault the place, we don’t have a single complaint. Would definitely return if staying in Budapest again-which we will one day, it’s a wonderful city.

I'm disappointed with this hotel. I had a bad experience that left me with a bad taste. Photos that are posted by the hotel on the web site are not reality, and the price is very high for what this "hotel" offers. We ask them in begining for hotel room with three single bad, as we saw on web. But they lied to us and said we only had room for two people so we payed extra for better rooms. When we went there they gave us apartments with kitchens, three bads and veey far from the offer we booked. In the first night the room smelled very bad sewage! I informed at the reception about our problem in the room to change the roo , understandably after trying for an hour to clean the air in the room through open window, but it was impossible. The receptionist guy had very bad behavior, he didnt oferr any solution but he was rude and asked to pay extra for another room, event that was aware about the problem. I was tryed to be polite and friendly, so I asked him to speak with management because that it was the hotel's problem. Finally, after his call the management approved our request for another room, but the receptionist was rude again by saying you will leave that room tomorrow morining before checkout time for another room that is cheaper, and he said you have tl bring other room keys back to him :( . Not all the staff are rude as this guy. The next day they changed our room again and it was really a very bad treatment and behavior towards the client. Also they clean hotel at 8am with electric vacum, and nobody care for clientas. Anyway the location its not in center, its 30 min walking from City center. The only good thing its food!

Looked at many hotels prior to selecting this one and was chosen due to some good reviews so deserve another one. Deliberately booked an executive room for the benefits these rooms come with. Alcoholic beverages for most of the day and a good selection of branded spirits and sparkling wine. The food served throughout the day (and was changed at different times) was adequate though having breaded cheese/breaded cheese with jalapeño as the only "hot" option was a bit monotonous and not very inventive? However there was enough choices to quell your hunger. Staff were vert attentive and applied a very good level of interaction when required. The room 1108 was of a good size with plenty of wardrobe/drawer space and everything you required was either already there or would have been made available on request. As Covid-19 has now taken effect and hotel bookings were down then the management are adjusting services in line with guest/staffing levels so if you manage to get booked in before total shut down (should that happen) you might like to E mail the hotel directly to get an up to date picture of what is/is not available. Many tourist attractions were closing down or reduced operating hours - so you would be well advised to check before you go to avoid disappointment? We stayed for 4 nights from Thursday 12-Monday 16th March 2020 and had great weather which enabled us to walk to the tourist attractions we had chosen and would have covered approximately 20 miles in the 4 days. This was our choice as public transport is really good and of course there are many options available to get you to certain attractions - all at a cost of course! So, in summary, a very good hotel with good staff and facilities and we would definitely stay here in the future.

I have been thinking hard about the rate for this hotel and i decided to give them a three and the reason is because of the room and the staff at reception. Staff at the reception told us that we got an upgrade but it honestly didn’t feel like it to us. The room was regular, nothing special with it, just a room for two people exactly what we booked. The room was on the first floor and you could hear everything through the walls even outside on the street and it was busy both with drunk people and traffic. We did not get much sleep during our stay. The staff at reception barley spoke or said anything to the guests coming in and going out from the hotel. But the breakfast on the other hand was great and the staff at the breakfast were nice. Gym was ok and my friend like the pool area as well. Overall ok hotel but i wouldn’t go back.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel in mid February 2020, just prior to Covid-19 starting to cause havoc around the world. The hotel is centrally located on Deak square, right next to a major Metro hub. We booked a Club room using 62K points a night, but as no Club rooms were available, we received a Deluxe room with a view and Club benefits – room 724. Check in was quick and we were able to check in as early as 11:15AM. We were offered an upgrade to a suite for an exuberant sum, which we declined. Our room was a very spacious corner connecting room on the 7th floor with views to the Budapest Eye and the Basilica. It featured 2 queen beds, a large TV (with very few decent channels), a work desk and chair, a sofa and a coffee table, a minibar, a safe and some fine lighting elements. The bathroom was large with a tub, toilet, shower (with a rather weak water pressure), sink and Asprey amenities (the Purple Water series). Unfortunately, after the 1st night, the bathroom started smelling of sewage and urine, and despite reporting this, it was not resolved throughout our stay. Housekeeping was pretty average with sheet not being replaced (despite asking for them to be replaced), missing amenities we had to repeatedly ask for, and a torn towel and sheet. The shaking from the Metro were felt in the room, as was the noise. There was zero isolation from the street noise (and Deak square is VERY noisy throughout the day and night and lorries constantly beep when unloading goods at the hotel’s side), zero isolation from the connecting room (which felt VERY embarrassing at times…) and no decent light-proofing at all. The hotel featured a nice gym and a beautiful small pool with a tiny hot tub, which was open until 10PM. The pool was too cold for comfort (at 28 degrees) and the hot tub was only 36 degrees. There were barely any loungers next to the pool, which means the place was packed when 10 people were there. The Club lounge is located on the 8th floor and is open from the early morning until 10PM. It features an all day hot and cold drinks and some nibbles. Breakfast was VERY poor with very little to choose from (we were not given the option to have breakfast at the downstairs restaurant). Brunch included soup, sandwiches and salads. Afternoon tea time featured some pastries and sweets. Dinner was a small buffet with several hot and cold choices to choose from. Desserts were rather average generic desserts with nothing authentic nor Hungarian. Unfortunately, the hotel’s policy is to allow children at the lounge at all times, which totally destroys the atmosphere, especially in the late evening (unless your idea of fun is screaming children running all over the place and their parents ignoring them). The attendants at the lounge, however, were charming, and even offered us 2 bars of chocolate upon checking out. Bottom line – while this is a good hotel, we expected much, much more from a Ritz Carlton, but it seems th

The hotel that lives here is all kinds of food downstairs. European restaurants and bars and cafes can be easily entered. There is no need to worry about the remote places. The value can be played, but eating and drinking can not be guaranteed. Some coffee is difficult to drink and people suspect that they bought it at the roadside stalls in the four-tier cities in China. The food is even worse. It is best to study the next cat eagle. The shopping street of LV and other big names is far away, but the pedestrian shopping street is just downstairs. The scenic spots are really just a foot lift. It is about 2 kilometers away from the Danube River. It’s time to stroll around and eat and watch the walk. The real name suggests this sandwich shop near the hotel, the foie gras must be tasted, the most famous in Hungary is foie gras. Try the fried foie gras.

My wife and I got a good deal from British Airways for flight and 3 nights. I do not know what the standard rate is for a room. The room and bathroom were well designed for space for clothes, cosmetics, etc. The only fault is that the safe is at floor level and I did not want to lie down on the floor to use it, and so valuables remained with me. The air conditioning did not make it cool enough to sleep comfortably. Th WiFi was easy to access but feeble. The room was small and there was only one chair; luckily we only needed the room for sleeping. It was clean as was the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was good with hot and cold choices although there was no choice to ask for anything special, such as fried eggs. The central location was very good. On the whole I would recommend the hotel if you can get a cheap rate and if you only want to sleep in the room.

Located 10 minutes walk from the Deak Ferenc ter bus stop -100E (be sure to get the airport ticket, a cost of 900huf at the time kf this writing), this hotel is in a great location for tourists. Lots of places to eat authentic Hungarian food around, short walk to the Danube River (I walked across 2 bridges and walked to the castle) and a lot of places to see around. I was solo and the room was more than big enough. Very clean bathroom, room was great. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. Clean sheets, clean blankets and clean shower. There is a restaurant on in the lobby, but did not eat there. I arrived before 11am so my room wasn't ready, but the front desk stored my bags which allowed me time to explore. Very happy I stayed at this hotel and would stay again. Budapest is a beautiful city! Before the staff elevator, pictured, as it is confusing!!
