Everything about the hotel is great, however the service is what saves its flaws. The hotel can improve with updated tech for the phone charger, energy output of refrigerator, and charging capability of USB ports (amenities/facilities). The reception is aware of this, and helped accommodate need. The staff has strong bilingual skills for those more novice with translation devices. Much appreciated. I would say the check-in/check-out staff as well as concierge and restaurant staff carry the needs more so than other hotels. However, the hotel need not have prices so high compared to nearby hotels considering location amenities limited in the Expo/Poly area. I feel the Marriot Bonvoy umbrella can ensure Westin implements better rates. I give a 5 on the location as it relates to the reason of my visit for a conference. I did not leave the island with the exception of Canton Tower buffet, as there is enough to do for a short weekend (beer park, metro museum, ancient port). The room service menu choice was perfection, and way better food options than the revolving restaurant at Canton Tower (compare price).

Thank God, people speak English at the reception, they also charge 300 RMB as deposit. Rooms are spacious, but not all of them are nice, you need to really check and ask to get what you need. Unfortunately they were not able to give me early chicken so I had to wait for 5 hours to do that. And then they gave me the wrong room,not the one I booked and also, it smelled like cigarettes on that floor, also there were a bunch of people being loud so I went back to the front desk and asked them to change the room for the one I actually booked so they gave me a low floor number 7 but the room turned out to be nicer and very quiet, bed was very comfy, and I had a good stay there. Also, there is washing machine so you can do laundry there. And the rooms have good sound insulation which is very important for me

Stayed one night on a business trip. The soundproofing was very good and not noisy. The subway station downstairs was also very convenient. The view from the upper floors was also very wide and not oppressive. The hot water and hair dryer were all normal. I will come again next time.

Stayed here for 6 days while attending the CIFF furniture fair. Overall a great place to stay, you can literally walk to the expo centre. The hotel rooms and amenities can feel a little dated but everything works as it should. Breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet were very large in options and really good taste. Certainly worth the money but make sure you go hungry. There are so many options. The Japanese restaurant is very good but found it very expensive compared to other top tier Japanese restaurants in the area. Overall a great place to stay in.
