We spent 3 nights here. The bed is super comfortable and luxurious and the bathroom is very, very roomy for being in the Gothic Quarter. The staff was fantastic and helpful. And we loved the roof deck, gorgeous views! My only negative would be that the room itself (we were on the 2nd floor, garden facing) could be a little dark as it didn't get a ton of natural light.
This place was great for our family of four. The shallow rooftop pool was awesome for mid afternoon breaks for our 7 and 8-year-old kids, and the room was perfect for the four of us. It's not easy to find a nice, reasonably affordable room for a family of four in any large European city. Just be careful with breakfast. The breakfast is very good, but it's an insane amount of food. We ordered four breakfasts for our family of four each day. We only needed two per day.
The front desk is welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the colors are harmonious. I especially like the sandstone-like tiles in the bathroom. The floor-to-ceiling windows are equipped with a small balcony to see the street view. Good location, just a few steps away is the entrance to the subway station, as well as the square of Saint-Joseph. Breakfast is rich in variety, you can eat local raw ham, it's good to make sandwiches ~ The elevator is slightly smaller, soundproof, and the impression is that there is no hot water or kettle available at any time, which can be overcome. When I return to the hotel, I often pass through the main church, walk through the alleys of the Gothic Quarter, listen to the guitar songs of street artists, and peek at the painters and sketch tourists.
Did not shoot the hotel map, just attach the surrounding shopping ~
Hesperia Barri Gotic is in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, just 100 metres from the port and 500 metres from Las Ramblas. Its modern air-conditioned rooms offer free WiFi and satellite TV.The Hesperia's rooms are decorated in vivid tones and have smart wooden floors. The elegant bathrooms come with a hairdryer and toiletries. A safe is also available. Some rooms have a balcony. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast in the bright dining room. You can also find a range of lively bars in the surrounding streets.Barceloneta Beach is a 15-minute stroll from the Hesperia Barri Gotic. Barcelona Aquarium and Maremagnum Shopping Centre are 800 metres away.
It's useless to ask for the location of the room in advance. It depends on the time you arrive on the day of check-in. The sooner the room arrives, the more available rooms are, the greater the probability of staying in a well-located room. I will stay for one night. Then I lived in a room with basically no view. Fortunately, the room is still very good. If you stay for two nights, you can ask for a room change the next day
The location of the hotel is great: right in the Gothic quarter and close to everything. It was a short 10 min walk from Plaza de Catalunya from the Aeroport bus stop. The room was rather on a small side. It was facing the back of the hotel, facing the old roman wall. The streets around the hotel are quite busy, so keeping the windows open was not an option: too loud with folks having fun at nearby restaurant/beer hall. The furniture was rather ... mmm... outdated. But the bed was comfortable, and so was the bathroom that also had a bidet. Wifi was very strong. Breakfast was nice and ample. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Just don't expect it to be like the newer places with bigger rooms and better interior designs. The staff was friendly and I had no problems with them. Overall, great stay.
The location is good, the interior decoration time of the hotel is too long, and the ventilation is not good! Buffet breakfast , 8.8 euros! While the shower was good, the bed comfy, and the location great, we didn’t sleep at all. This was the loudest place I’ve ever stayed and we even had a private room. People shouting in the hallways, slamming doors, crying kids. It all echoes too. The walls are also thin so we felt like we couldn’t talk normally without being bad neighbors. We even used the ear plugs the front desk provided and it took the edge off but didn’t ultimately solve the issue. The location and price are great but this really impacted our trip as we were tired most days from lack of sleep. We stayed there half of our trip and considered booking elsewhere and just losing our money. We would not stay again.
We were swopped to this hotel due to renovation works being carried out in one of its sister hotels. There is a nice reception, we were warmly welcomed, with reasonable English and efficiently checked in. The rooms are recently refurbished and were of a reasonable quality, however, the one we had was a little small, but a huge toilet and shower room, However, the hotel common areas were very clean. The WIFI was reasonable, the breakfast was limited, but not poor. One of our party had his wallet stolen and he asked the hotel what to do, they said speak to the police, the guy who's wallet it was not too bothered about that after cancelling his cards and could not be mithered to go the the police station to report it. However, the hotel did report it and the Police subsequently recovered the wallet, complete with cards and the cash that was in it. So thank you hotel. Would I stay here again, yes I would, but would be after a slightly larger room.
Wonderful location, just a few steps away from several plazas (Reail, St. James, George Orwell, etc) -- each one having a character of it's own-- in the Barri Gothic. We were met at the front desk by Carles, who was friendly and a great resource. The room was a superior room, clean, comfortable and of adequate size. While there was no real view from our room itself, we were a few steps away from a truly amazing rooftop pool/terrace with million-dollar views. Not just to see the many churchtowers, but you can see the apartments (and hanging laundry on the balconies) of a thousand real families living in this medieval area of the city. I spent more time than expected on the rooftop, catching the breeze on hot days. I wish the terrace had been open for viewing sunset/sunrise, but sadly was not. We did not opt in to buying breakfast and just bought pastries and ate them in the plazas. This was a great hotel - secure and safe, excellent air conditioning, strong shower, good service, clean, and great rooftop.
The location of the hotel is very convenient for transportation to various scenic spots in the city center. The hotel is located on the 4th line subway. The hotel is located in the commercial district, dining and shopping are very convenient. But the room is very small, there is no toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers, hot water bottle, haha... European hotel standard. The price is somewhat high. The breakfast is very delicious, the variety is quite large, and the juice drinks are freshly squeezed. Dining and room hygiene environment 👌! Smoking is only available at the hotel entrance or in the room balcony.
The location is very good! Right next to Plaza Catalunya, we go to Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, luxury streets are all on foot, the bus stop is at the door, the subway station is just a few steps away, the hotel Very new, rooms are medium in size, front desk service is very good, breakfast is delicious recommended! The only drawback is that the sound insulation is slightly worse.
I stayed here twice. Purely for it's proximity to a nearby hospital where I was getting some stuff done. First stay was just 2 nights. Not a lot to report. Things that stickout in my mind were the stained bathroom floor and being asked to pay the 2 euro city tax at checkout when it was already paid. She immedietely realised her mistake but I recommend just paying it at checkout to avoid any issue. Did not try the breakfast as I had to fast. My second stay was for 5 nights. Much the same as tthe first except that I tried the breakfasts. The bathroom still looked dated and crusty around the edges and also the entire floor floods each time you shower. For some general points. I find the place decent although I would get the same room in Thailand for 35 euro. Wifi fast and free. Room service... Theres a menu but it seems they order it through uber eats or something. Rooms - Generally ok. Decent size. Bed soft enough and big. Safe box. TV but with limited english channels. Bathrooms look tired but could mostly be fixed with a good scrub in the cracks. Apparently theres a swimming pool in the basement or something but I wasn't really interested. Breakfast buffet - Same everyday but no complaints. I looked forward to it everyday. The little chorizos were so tasty. The coffees and selection was all really great. The only thing I would change is add some more vegetable options. The stale hot vegetables is not very nice and could be more interesting. Location - Good if your here for the nearby hospital. Apart from that the area feels a little isolated. Theres a few eateries nearby but not really interesting. Discount - So after the first stay you get an email with a code for a discount next time. This combined with another discount on the website made it extremely cheap the 2nd trip (98 euro). Staff - Were all very nice generally. However regarding housekeeping they seemed to spend hours each day standing right near my door jabbering away. With a whole hotel to clean I don't know why they had to do this right by my door. Very annoying. Overall it was a good option for the area but given the price of using cabify (30euro for 15 min drives) I felt a bit isolated and the lack of food options was annoying however there is uber eats but all in spanish. I would stay again but if I didn't need to visit the hospital I would definitely choose somewhere more central.
Ive had the best stay ever - I can recommend this hotel to everyone! It is very clean and the workers are the most friendly staff I have ever experienced! Me and my boyfriend shared the ‘Patio-Room’, which was very large. The bed is very soft and big too. The bar in the lobby is very cosy and the cocktails look and tasty amazing, hence the pricing.
We are staying here for 3 nights and the Pool terrace and bar area both look fantastic. The rooms are also very clean but extremely hot for summer in Barcelona. The air con is on a sensor system (inc the bathroom lighting) so turns off when you leave the room or haven’t moved! It doesn’t even keep the room at a relatively cool temperature, the room has been ~25c for any time we’ve been in it, that’s going by the thermometer on the thermostat. Reception suggested to open the window - not brilliant for sleeping considering it’s a 4* hotel!
Hotel location is very good, very close to Barcelona Cathedral, go out and turn right about 100 meters. The interior of the hotel is very tasteful and you can see Barcelona Cathedral in the room. Going to the Sagrada Família, the Mila House and other places are all within 10 euros. 5-6 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, it is also very convenient to take the airport bus. Personally prefer this hotel to the Grand Hotel in Cologne.
The plane was early the next morning, so I chose this one.
The uncle at the front desk had a very good attitude. He called the front desk after landing T2 and told him in detail where to wait for the hotel shuttle. We landed at about eleven and the shuttle at eleven thirty
Booked the shuttle bus early in the morning the next day, very punctual, about ten minutes drive to the airport
Absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was both friendly and professional...from the staff up front (perfect English), to the doorman, and cleaning staff. Everything was perfect. Very clean and great amenities. It was also my boyfriend’s birthday and they brought him a really wonderful surprise!! I was very happy with the stay and I will come again. Please note the pool is small, so don’t except much swimming.
The hotel is about 300 meters away from the Clinic Hospital station of Metro Line 5. You can go to the Sagrada Familia on Line 5, transfer to Plaza Catalunya, and visit La Rambla and Gracia. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, good choices. The buffet breakfast is 9 euros, which is cheap, and the meals are plentiful and not bad.
Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the subway station. It is also convenient to the main attractions in the city. Compared with other similar hotels in the surrounding area, this house is very good in all aspects, it is recommended
The breakfast is rich and the location is excellent. It is right by the sea, and there is convenient transportation in the mall near the sea view. The mobile phone has been changed, and the next photo is added.
The location is good. It is very close to L3/L5 metro station, and an easy walk from Barcelona Snats. The breakfast was pretty good. Staff was efficient and friendly. I would definitely stay at Abba Sants Hotel again. Recommeded.
This hotel is still in a very good location. It only takes five minutes to walk to the Sagrada Familia, and the subway is next to the Sagrada Familia, and it is ten minutes to walk to the Holy Cross Saint Paul Hospital.
From here, no matter if you take the subway to Camp Nou, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Gracia Avenue is very convenient.
The room is also spacious.
The reason why I beat the four stars for hygiene was that the first night I noticed that there was a curved black hair under the pillow, which was a bit disgusting.
But in fact, they are cleaned every day. It is estimated that they are sticky? ? ?
Hygiene in the next few days is still OK.
Of course, even if you check in after 2pm, you can leave your luggage at the front desk if you arrive early.
Stayed here for one night before getting on a cruise. We've been to Barcelona several times before and chose this Hotel because of it's great location. It's at one of the main roads with all the action. Only a 10' ride from the port and only a 10' walk from our most favourite place in town: Quimet & Quimet. So for us it has the perfect location. There's a bakery / coffee shop just around the corner as well and several mini-marts. The room was very nice. Modern, really clean and also very quiet. TV, aircon/heater, free WiFi and all the usual stuff. Had a very good night here, very comfy bed. We really have to point out that it's a very very clean place and for this price a great value. Front desk were really nice and friendly folks. A quick and easy check-in and check-out. Organised a taxi for us as well, very convenient and on time. It's great for a night before cruising or also for a city-trip. Becaus of the central location you can walk to many sights easily or the the subway, which is near. A great place to stay.
The hotel is located in the Barcelona development area. About 25 minutes walk from the hotel, you can reach attractions such as Mira House and big-name shopping streets. The rooms are generally sanitary, small in size, and the facilities are relatively simple, but there is a kettle.
It is far from the city and all major attractions, but the price is moderate, the conditions are very good, there is a big supermarket to buy things very convenient downstairs, there is a Chinese-run grocery store. Although I only changed to a hotel in the city for one night, this hotel left a good impression on me.
The hotel is very close to the subway, there is a relatively large shopping mall in the east, and the facilities are relatively new and not bad. Because I had to catch a plane in the morning, I didn't have breakfast. I told the front desk and packed a simple breakfast and took it away. Service is still very good ~
The environment is the feel of an old European hotel. The toilet space is particularly large, the hygiene is good, the pillows are a bit dirty, and the overall is OK, but the door of the bathtub fell several times, almost smashing my feet. Irregularities, and the buttons are often sprayed with water, the sound insulation is very poor, the sound outside the door and the next room may be clear, it may be too long, but the sunlight scattered into the room is good, and the service attitude is very kind Very nice.
The location is very close to the subway station, the hotel reception is very warm, knowing that I was the first time I went to Barcelona and enthusiastically introduced the place worth visiting. There is no charging adapter, you can find the front desk to borrow.
I stayed at Hotel Casa Elliot for five nights. This is a brand new hotel which has taken an older building and completely rehabilitated it into a modern, chic, urban oasis. The lobby is most welcoming and features areas to sit and relax along with numerous photo books available to peruse. My room featured a Queen bed, large flat panel television, ample wardrobe storage, hot water kettle, mini bar, complimentary water upon arrival, a sizable modern bathroom with walk-in shower and plenty of natural light emanating from the sliding glass doors. On my first night I had an issue with the heating system which was not working. I brought it to the attention of one of the staff and by the end of the day it was fixed. Regarding temperature, although each room has individual climate control, note that some rooms get quite warm regardless of the outside temperature, so even in winter, you may still need to use air conditioning. While all staff from housekeeping to front desk were always friendly, attentive and helpful, I’d like to acknowledge the extra effort Alex made to make me feel like a welcome guest at this hotel. If I find myself in Barcelona again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.
Seeing that the hotel is much more beautiful than expected, the old building shape, the front desk is very warm, we arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning, check in in the afternoon, and helped us to store our luggage. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable and there was a nice little balcony that was very comfortable. Very good location, walking to the home of Barth and Mila, Passeig Avenue is half an hour away. There are many restaurants downstairs and the supermarket is very convenient.
We booked here before a cruise. We arrived early as our flights were changed, but the hotel kindly sorted a room for us that was ready to use. Room was large clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentyful and a good choice . Location of hotel meant we could walk to port which took only 15/20 minutes. Many people have commented on noise levels, yes it was at times but it's on a main road that's what you expect in a city.
The hotel is next to Plaza de Espana. From Barcelona T1 Airport, follow the signs to find the A1 airport bus stop 1 to Plaza Espana, then walk for 5 minutes to reach the hotel! Downstairs is a celebrity restaurant, not bad! There are also shopping malls and supermarkets around! The subway L1 and L3 lines are also 5 minutes walk to the attractions, which is very convenient! The environment and service of the hotel is also very good, the rooms are cleaned every day! The hotel provides shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, electric kettle, but no teeth and slippers! Therefore, it is recommended to bring your own toiletries when traveling!
We drove into Barcelona and found the hotel perfectly thanks to Gmaps, driving into the carpark was quite amusing as the entrance/lobby area is also where the cars go through when entering the underground carpark. Staff were very friendly and welcomed our arrival. After showing us where we could park we made adventurous drive down two levels as prepared by other reviews.... it is tight but manageable. Staff were full of great advice and information at check in. Giving reassurance that absolutely nothing was too much trouble! The room was well sized and very clean. A huge bath in the centre of the room and plenty of toiletries that were refreshed daily. Thanks again for a great stay.
Nice hotel, good location, with friendly staff, very clean and a nice view from the Jacuzzi on the roof. The only negative part was the noise from the hallway that you could hear from the room. Other than that, excellent service 😊 As a suggestion for the Hotel, it would be nice to have some maps of the places to visit in Barcelona.
Hotel location is good, walk to the Sacred Heart Cathedral! Breakfast is average, the room is fairly spacious, the upper level can see the Sacred Heart Cathedral! The hotel does not have a parking lot, the recommended parking lot is particularly far and expensive! It is not as convenient as the underground parking lot of a large supermarket more than 100 meters away. It is estimated that the price will not be more expensive than that!
We had a fabulous room for our second night and would return without any hesitation, but we were given a less good room for our first night. Much negotiation ensued and we finally left very happy. The staff were all great, couldn't have been more attentive. The hotel is very central, and there's great rooftop bar, where we had cocktails both evenings. Just be careful when you book that you are clear which room you are getting (they are all the same price).
