Good location, convenient parking, no charge, close to the supermarket, the disadvantage is that the room is not soundproof, can clearly hear the sound of the machine running, not suitable for people with sleep disorders. There is a complimentary breakfast and a free beer voucher for the downstairs bar.

Unfortunately the site does not allow a rating of less than 1. Given the reviews and write ups about this place having been refurbished in 2004 (Hobart Apartments website) to other people’s reviews stating refurbished in 2017 we booked 3 nights as a family of 4. When we checked in the kitchen utensils were filthy so not being ones to complain we cleaned them and the kitchen so we could stay, after all we were only using it to sleep at night as we would be out during the days. We came home the second day around 10.15pm after having been out all day and catching up with friends for dinner in the evening. When we walked in to the apartment we notice that there was a wet spot on the carpet in the hallway. We then went into the bathroom to find the floor and our personal belongings that were on the vanity all wet. We looked around and couldn’t work out where /how it all got wet. After looking at the ceiling we found water coming in from the ceiling. We then made our way into the middle bedroom and saw that the drape was all wet down the side. The carpet on the floor at the bottom of the drape was also wet. On the floor where the water was sat the extension cord that ran from the back of the bed to the electric wall heater used to heat the room. We had to turn the heather of and unplug it and lift it off the wet floor. We sent Hobart apartments an email advising we had had enough and were checking out the next day and expected a refund for the full boking given it did not live up to the expectation or description of the room. The following day when we spoke to the office manager, she said we should have called her the night before and she would have put us in another room. I have no idea how she would do that when the sign out the front said NO Vacancies. We took her through and showed her the dirty kitchen (we didn’t bother to clean the dirt on the outside of the fridge and she said we should have told her at the start so she could get the cleaners back - again no idea where we were going to go given the no vacancy sign out the front. We then took her into the bathroom to show where the wet floor was and she said it’s coming from the ceiling (we never told her that). we then proceeded to show her the bedroom and again she didn’t seem to care. She said that they didn’t know when it was going to leak, basically indicating it was not a surprise that it could leak but they didn’t know when. When we asked her about a refund she started yelling and calling us freeloaders. This booking was with expedia so we have taken it up with them who said that they were getting no co-operation from the manager at the apartments. Again, there are plenty of other nice places that are cheaper...look around first before booking here

The hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel

The key to this review is 'budget'. It's cheap and what you get for your money is excellent. The bed is super comfortable, the room and bathroom was clean, the shower was hot and had great pressure. Clean fresh towels, a little on the small side, but nice and fluffy. But the best thing was that you can get your breakfast brought to your room! Simply fill out a breakfast card the night before and hand it in with the time you want it delivered and you can have brekkie in bed! It was a little on the cool side, but there was plenty of it (I didn't finish all of mine). The rooms are dated decor-wise - but for the price you can't expect much more. Our room had a queen bed, a small dining table with chairs, flat screen tv wall mounted, a small bar fridge, kettle, tea and coffee (the cups are small, so if you want a decent sized cup you may want to bring your own mug) and toaster. There is hanging space and limited drawer space. The toilet flush was quite a distance from the toilet itself - up on a wall. Parking is free, there's a bottle shop on site, a taxi down to Salamanca was $10. The eateries of North Hobart's Elizabeth St were at walking distance. If you look at what you get for your money, it's excellent value. I'll be staying again.

I flew in on a Friday for an evening wedding, but was delayed three hours by the airline. As a result I was forced to head directly to the ceremony on arrival, which meant I didn't have time to check in beforehand. This was a concern, because I knew I wouldn't make it to the hotel until 2am, well past closing. I need not have worried. Scott went out of his way to help. He made a special arrangement for me to collect the key from a secure location, and then followed up to ensure all went smoothly. You can't beat service like that! And the room was perfect. Comfy beds, well away from the bar so very quiet, with easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes and downtown Hobart. I'll be back!

The hotel is a bit far from the city center. If there is a car, it is more convenient, but it is necessary to spit it out. July is their winter. The living room has an air conditioner but the heating is not very good. The dining room is miserable, there is no air conditioning, and the coat is in a hurry. After dinner, I went to the bedroom, but the three bedrooms had only one radiator, but the room was not too warm. The other two rooms had a radiator and one had no radiator. After many negotiations, the blanket was finally warmed. Waiting for the electrical appliances, I originally wanted to check out, but I saw that they were very good. I thought about the trouble of changing rooms. (To check out, you must say before 8:00, otherwise you will be able to enroll the next day.) I had a good night's sleep, I didn't expect to continually trip, power off, and half of the hot water was washed in the bath. I hurriedly wiped it with cold water. This is only 5 degrees in winter. I asked them to repair it many times, the electrician could do nothing, the wires were old, the walls of the house were thin, and the warmth was poor. At 11 o'clock in the evening, in order to guarantee the next few days, I decided to re-book the room and check out the next morning. Foreigners resolutely disagreed with the refund of the same room, even if they were not able to agree on their facilities, of course, the final result of Ctrip's mediation was satisfactory, so the partners of this hotel should consider it, they have no bedroom. Air-conditioned, no air conditioning in the summer, I think it is uncomfortable, but the scenery outside the house is good.

Our room is very special, retaining all the old things, including a fireplace, we are excited to chop fire, the two floors are very warm! The hotel is a very nice cottage with a garden. The boss was very enthusiastic and found us rice and soy sauce. Also try to help us solve the problem. Because there are no slippers, we often walk barefoot in the room - although it looks like a long history, but the room is very clean!

The situation is very oolong. I originally set up a female six-person room. When I checked in, I made my own bed and took a bath. I came back and found that the three foreign men in the room were all shocked when changing clothes. The communication to the front desk told me that the mixed dormitory was set, but you could change my room for more women. Then contacted Ctrip, Ctrip's attitude was very positive and finally changed to a room full of women.

The front desk is welcoming and the hotel has no elevator! You need to lift your luggage up and down yourself! There is no place for luggage in the room. The bed was comfortable, and the oil stain on the cover was poor. The bath water is very good, that is, the place is a bit small, and people who need a small shower. The bathroom is quite large, and the non-stop work beside the bed is a bit annoying! The water next door feels flowing from this room, and the whole four or five kinds of noise are annoying. The room facilities are a bit dated, after all, the price is there. Personal feeling is just suitable for sleeping at night!

Said to be a shop, specifically a large inn, downstairs is a bar, restaurant, slot machine room. The lobby is right on the side of the bar and restaurant. This shop was remodeled from an old house. There are a total of eleven rooms. On the second floor, open the door with a key, the stairs are up and down, and the key to open the door is the key to your room. The quietness of the accommodation is entirely conscious of the guests. There is only one chain on the door of the room for security measures and no anti-locking. The bathroom is big. Breakfast is a Western-style breakfast, a la carte meal, breakfast tea drink buffet, tea, water, milk, juice. The location of the hotel (inn) is very good, this is the biggest advantage.

There were a couple of hiccups when we arrived like driving around the block 3 times to find a car park for valet parking and then them not having our room which was booked in November. However, all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and make us feel welcome. Our Club Room with Harbour views was beautiful, large and come. The bathroom was lovely, however, as there is no shower door water went everywhere and the bathmat was soaked after the first shower. The club and staff there were fantastic with views of Mt Wellington it had a very relaxing atmosphere. There was one staff member who shone brighter than the others and that was Eric he also left us a lovely personally written welcome card.

My husband and I took a short trip to Hobart. The reviews of argyle apartments were all good and we can't disagree. We stepped into a pre- warmed room in the evening and looked around our well - appointed apartment. Comfortable bed, large space and our own enclosed balcony with us own heating. We got a studio room and have our own amenities room down the hall, with fresh towels and toiletries. Plenty of food in the shared kitchen area and our own fridge and microwave as well as tea and coffee. Close to all the major attractions. Views of Mount wellington from the balcony.

I live in a four-person dormitory for girls. In fact, it is equivalent to two people and one room, each with a separate bed. The room type is divided into 2 rooms with separate cabinets, quiet. The bathroom is clean in public areas. Every day, people clean it regularly. The focus is on the city center. The location is very convenient. If you stay in the hotel for a short time, just sleep, I think it is a good choice.

The hotel is in a good location and is the oldest standing townhouse in Australia. Perfectly retaining the structure of the old house, adding a modern design concept. The room was clean and the front desk staff was very good. Knowing that I traveled alone gave me a lot of advice about local transportation. Very good! It is a good hotel in Hobart. I will stay here next time. Go to the attic where Henry Jones lives.

The hotel location is really good, the scenery outside the window is also good, overall satisfaction, there is a washing machine and a clothes dryer is really suitable for a long time travel abroad, the kitchen can also cook, supplies are full, will recommend to friends. The advantages are not much. The disadvantages are as follows: one is bringing a 9-year-old child to stay and ask for an extra bed. AUD 50 per night is really not cheap (the pepper hotel in Cradle Mountain only costs AUD 30 including breakfast); the second is the range hood The power is small, and it is installed on the roof. The room can only have a small window, and the ventilation is average. After cooking a simple fried steak and cooking, it is full of smoke. The hotel does not provide free water and spices, but it does provide disposable slippers. I once ate at the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel, and the overall feeling was average.

Very suitable for a hotel with children, the environment is very good, sea view, close to the city, the room is oversized, the most like is to have a large dressing room to put luggage and clothes. Each room has a balcony. The hotel has free parking and the staff is very professional. The restaurant food is not great. I suggest a friend come and stay again next time.

Clean and warm, with a historical and emotional hotel, the layout is very warm, the crafts are either left by the boss's parents or the boss's own collection, some of them are especially oriental, the boss John is very good, the kitchen downstairs eats casually There are a variety of locally produced honey jams. First of all, the hotel is in a good location, the airport is coming soon, the hotel has its own parking lot, the pier and the net red restaurant nearby, and Woolworth is also within walking distance. The room was quite big and new, and the first day of stay was sparkling wine as a surprise gift. The room has a kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, you can buy ingredients in a nearby seafood store to make your own seafood dinner, in short, to Hobart, old wool is a good choice.

Breakfast is very good 👍 Extra beds are different according to the room reservation ... Great for bringing kids, because the location is very convenient! It is within walking distance to museums, many restaurants and shopping centers. Downstairs there is a "grandmother noodle" which is a very authentic Chinese noodle restaurant (also hot and sour noodles). Especially recommended! The price is moderate. Excellent location! Walk to most of the city's attractions! Within 10 minutes walk to the supermarket and pharmacy! The parking lot is in a parking lot outside the hotel, about a three minute walk. Parking for 17.5 Australian dollars a night, very safe! The hotel can be said that there is no view, but the room is very, very clean! The cooling effect of the refrigerator is also very good! The refrigerator can hardly hear the sound in the wooden cabinet. The standard double room we stayed in was a kingsize bed. The beds are slightly soft, but I feel quite comfortable😌 highly recommended!

Have just returned home after staying at the Moss Hotel for 5 nights. The only thing it has going for it is its position on Salamanca Place. Within walking distance of most of what Hobart has to offer but the hotel itself is somewhat a let-down. It is trendy and minimalist but is lacking in service and many amenities expected from a top of the range hotel. We booked 2 rooms, both Grove Balcony upgrades with supposed Salamanca Place views. One room did have views if you stood and leant over the balcony wall, the other room had a balcony that looked straight onto a brick wall. When we complained we were told by the General Manager, Rod, that you could see the "tree tops" and this was a room with a balcony and a view!! He claimed he could not change this room. Most unhelpful. The room had very poor lighting, a sloping ceiling (I knocked my head a number of times), we asked for a hand towel for the bathroom and was given a face flannel, no suitable lighting in the bathroom for applying make-up, had to search for face tissues and eventually found them hidden in a cupboard near the entry door. This hotel is definitely not up to the standard of other 5 star hotels we have stayed in around the world. You get a room in which to sleep but not much else. For the cost we definitely received very little service. A couple of the staff were friendly and amiable, but not the General Manager.

Love this hotel, overlooking the port! The hotel is very spacious. The elevator on the floor of the room feels like a reception room. In the evening, I saw a foreigner sitting in an ice bucket with white wine and watching the scenery. The Harbour View Twin Room we ordered was very large and the bed was comfortable. There is an AWU Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel, which tastes good. Go to Salamanca or whatever, just walk. That day we walked all the way, and still met the foreigner's square dance on the square.

I went to Tasmania for a few days from Sydney, because I especially chose to go to the market on Saturday to choose this hotel. The whole is very fond of, the opening of the window is the port, the scenery is really beautiful, the blue sky and the white clouds can see people drinking coffee very comfortable, the room is also very large, relatively clean, this hotel is below the bar, but our room is inside So it’s not noisy. The market on Saturday will be able to arrive in two or three minutes. The breakfast in the morning is very delicious. I like it overall, but the door in the room is unlocked and there is no safety chain. What makes me depressed is that the door key of my room can open the access door on the second floor of the lobby staircase. Is it possible for all the keys of the guest who can open the outer door of the second floor to open my door lock? ?

Ok, this place is not a "Hotel", probably the worst "hotel" I ever stayed at, literally just old rooms on top of a pub. This is at best a bed and breakfast type accommodation, without the breakfast. The hotel reception is actually the pub cashier. Extremely awkward carrying your luggage in and out of this "hotel" through the pub floor and poker machine gaming area in full view of its patrons who often stare at you. Extremely old and run down, squeaky floorboards, loose showerhead, no air con, old uncomfortable bed, not even a microwave in room. A small old very loud fridge that will remind you of its existence at night. A constant stale smell throughout the property inside and outside of the rooms and hallways. Stayed for four nights, on the first night I did not get a single minute of sleep because it was a hot and humid day. Tired of opening the windows to let more air in, but then the bright street light comes in and so the traffic noise. Parking is a hassle with only a few spots available onsite at the back and a very tight maneuvering area. Off-street parking is metered during business hours with 2-hour limits. Very inconvenient if you're driving and/or if you have anything more than a small amount of luggage. There are much better motels around Hobart for around the same price. I would definitely not recommend this place, would've been better off booking myself into a hostel. Big regret and waste of money.
