This hotel is a gem. Situated in an historic square with two churches alongside, it's in a lovely location, and it took me about 20 minutes to walk from the train station. The welcome was very cheerful from the young man on reception. Then I was handed a box containing not just my very normal room key but an iPad for controlling the lights and TV. It was quite intuitive though despite this being a new experience. The room was lovely, the bathroom particularly good with a free-standing roll top bath and a shower. Breakfast from 7 was laid out in the dining room but I saw no one during the half hour I was in the room. A good selection of self-service items. I just wished I'd had longer to stay there. Highly recommended.

We are 2 adults over 65 who were in Uppsala for the start of a 3 week family history research visit to Sweden. We found this hotel to be overall one of the best we stayed at. The room was on the small side but very clean and neat. We had a good view out toward the cathedral. We were in walking distance of all of the central city. Breakfast was among the best we found in Sweden, and the coffee machine was definitely the best! So many choices, all good. We found nothing like it anywhere in Sweden, even in much more expensive hotels. Service was good. Our only minor negative was the small size of the bathroom, the shower had doors that folded inward to make more room when the shower was not in use,. Also, it was quite hot when we visited, and the lack of AC made it hard to sleep-- we needed to pull curtains to block out the midsummer light at midnight!

It is very close to the railway station in Sweden. The main thing is that there is a Chinese restaurant "Happy Forest" next to it. The breakfast in the hotel is also very good and the bed is very soft.

I am always happy with my stays at Clarion hotels. The rooms are clean, beds are super comfortable, bathrooms have nice shower gels and good water pressure, ac and heating always works well, wifi is free and fast, and breakfast is excellent. This clarion hotel was no exception and I will definitely consider to stay again when in Uppsala. There is off course some room for improvement: The gym is really tiny and felt kind of claustrofobis, and if you wish to use the sauna you have to pay to enter the spa section (this is the main reason why I might consider booking my next stay at the Radisson instead). Also, part of the breakfast buffé was lid with strange strong orange lamp which made food look weird. And the energy bar in the room's minibar had expired four months ago (which I discovered after taking a few bites and wondering why it tasted like paper..). Then again, the value of this hotel is excellent – with prices generally lower than other hotels in the same standard. Hence: recommended!

Breakfast is good, free. It is estimated that there is no extra bed, it is suitable for children, because the surrounding area is the center of the city, there is no parking lot, but there are many cars on the side.

The city is beautiful and quiet. Great restaurants and cafes around. I felt safe walking around in the evening through the streets near the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, the room comfortable, everything I needed for one night was included. The reception staff welcomed me in a friendly and professional way although I arrived late. The hotel guests were quiet and kind. Great breakfast, rich buffet. I recommend it and if I return I would book a room at this hotel again.

The hotel is diagonally across from Uppsala Central Station, the location is very city center, there is a mall downstairs, and life is very convenient. The breakfast offers typical Swedish food and the room comfort is also very good. There are parent-child rooms, one big bed and one foldable double bed; if the big bed room, you can add an extra bed.

Breakfast is not bad, DIY cakes, hot food is not much. The room is small, you can only put a bed, look at the surrounding environment before entering the room, if you are in the bathroom, it is recommended to contact the waiter to change a house, it will be very noisy.

The location is on the edge of the city, but the city is not big, the traffic is convenient, it takes only three minutes to reach the nearby large supermarket, which is very convenient. The hotel breakfast is suitable, the breakfast variety is there, there is hot water supply, it is difficult to find some hot water in Europe. The hotel room is large, and two folding sofas can be opened. The room can accommodate 4 people.

Selmas Hytt och Salong is in a great location moored on the river very close to the centre of Uppsala. I had a single room looking over the river with a comfortable bed, a desk and chair and sufficient hanging and storage shelves. There is a cosy sitting area which is a great place to watch the sunset over the river in the evenings. A microwave, kettle and fridge are available for guests, which I found very helpful due to the high cost of eating out in Sweden. Teabags and coffee are also provided. The toilet and shower facilities are fairly basic but everywhere is spotlessly clean and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I bought breakfasts which were fairly small but not expensive. The food is plated up for each guest so if there is something you do not like or cannot eat you need to tell them the evening before. I would definitely recommend Selma. The boat has great character and I found it far more interesting than staying in a hostel on land.

I traveled to Sweden for 21 days. The gym is good, with equipment and equipment, breakfast has not changed for almost 21 days, it can be said that the food is too tired, the service is okay, there is room for improvement in hygiene.

The traffic conditions are very convenient, the surrounding business is prosperous, less than 500 meters away from the city's pedestrian street. It is also the best hotel in the city. The room type is good, suitable for bringing children, it is a little small oolong final settlement, clearly written on the order. Prepaid to the hotel, but the hotel said there was no payment. . . What are the reasons for watching later? . .

I really love my home and dislike hotels, as such I am a demanding traveler. I always contact hotels directly prior to booking, to leave little to chance. Of course, it is hard to remotely assess the "atmosphere" of a hotel. From reading previous reviews, my concerns were that: — The layout of the hotel (4th floor reception, auto-locking doors, etc.) would be disruptive. — The staff was minimal and it would be hard to get in touch with someone. — The sleeping comfort would not be good because of the soft bed. It turned out these concerns felt unwarranted, either because they have improved since being reviewed, or because I have different expectations. I was visiting for 7 days, for a conference at the university that took place 5 minutes by foot—and my hotel was by far the closest of all participants (closest hotel was probably 15 min away). This alone made it worthwhile. From a previous reviewer here, I learned that the corner room were desirable. I also knew that they had hardwood floors, which is something that I really enjoy (for hygiene reasons). I called to ask for a room with hardwood, and possibly corner, and got 415. This was a really nice room. The design was very functional, and I thought comfortable. Comfortable lounge chairs in your room. A beautiful shower (which I unfortunately did not photograph) with both a handheld nozzle and a rainfall-type head, with none of the issues of most hotels: No slow drain, no water all over, no mold or mildew spots. Ecological toilet paper. A nice, clean tower rack (not just a nail on the door). STRONG water pressure. Very good dispensers of hand soap by the sink and shower gel in the shower. Very good aeration, despite long warm showers, the bathroom never steamed up. One focus I loved about this hotel is the accent on recycling: No toiletries (do you know how many of those end up in the ocean??), only the towels you ask for, etc. The only time it was a bit cumbersome was that their A/C is ecological, and as such at the height of summer it could get a bit warm because of the sun hitting the huge floor to ceiling windows. Nothing cracking the window open would not solve. The television comes with a nicely accessible HDMI port and USB port. There was a kettle to make tea, and tea bags, and cups. A common pet peeve of mine is that US hotels generally have combo coffee/tea machines that are never washed and taste disgusting (which coffee drinkers don't notice because the taste is so strong). There is a mini fridge that was convenient to store left-overs. The bed was indeed very soft. I was a bit worried about this because I prefer the firmest bed possible. But it was okay, though perhaps the sheets were a bit warm. I do not like housekeeping in general, so as I usually do, I put up a Do Not Disturb sign on my door on the very first day. The hotel staff is fantastic, they are discreet and incredibly good at their job. As I was traveling professionally, I wanted my department to

Helpful staff, convenient location, comfortable room, and a good breakfast. That sums it up. I would definitely choose the hotel again. Also, since I need to have a longer review in order to post, the lobby bar had reasonable priced wine and was a good place to hang out in the evening with friends.

I came with car and the hotel has free parking, which is good. At arrival I was welcomed by a nice and service minded reception staff, that is always nice for a first impression. It is a budget hotel so the room was small. But it had a desk where I could work on my laptop and a bed, that is all I need. There were no room cleaning during my 3 days there, but I guess that was due to the corono situation. And I didnt actually mind :) I did not eat dinner but the breakfast was ok, nordic food. It is an ok hotel to stay at can be recommended as budget hotel with a reasonable price

This wonderful old castle/manor house is now a tertiary residential education and conference centre run by the county authorities. Guided tours of the interior of the house itself take place in the afternoon and sadly we were unable to wait. The grounds however are open to all and there are walking tracks and picnic spots with wonderful views of the lake. There is historical information online. If you have an hour or two and find yourself in the area it is well worth a visit
