My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. Pero was extremely communicative right before arriving in Hvar. We got a cab/taxi right past the cathedral in the main square to the Villa Milton, which was 100 kuna. We met Pero right away and he gave us an upgrade upon arrival, which was extremely generous. Pero spent about 20 minutes with us showing all the sights, bars, and restaurants to visit in Hvar on a map. It also happened to be my friend’s birthday, so Pero came back and gave us a free bottle of white wine. The apartment has spectacular views, the apartment was clean, had a washing machine and all the amenities, and the bed was comfortable. It was also such an easy walk to “downtown.” Also, we were able to store our luggage on the day of departure because our ferry to Dubrovnik wasn’t until later in the day. I highly recommend staying here!

I love this kind of small hotel where the service is so attentive and personal, the and you feel as if you are staying in a real proper Croatian home instead of a massive chain hotel without personality. On the plus side: its located very close to the water, the staff could not be more lovely, and the view is fab, the breakfast at the restaurant delicious. On the small negative: there is no lift, and at times we could hear the people below us. All around amazing place and wish I was here now.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel with such outstanding, personalised service. The warmth of the welcome, the conversations with people who work in the hotel at the desk and at breakfast, the enthusiasm to help made it such a pleasant place to be. The only incredibly insignificant problem (our room was down a towel!) was dealt with with what seemed like genuine concern (as opposed to the usual politeness you would expect) and was fixed astonishingly quickly. On our second morning, we were surprised to find that they had noted all our breakfast preferences from the day before, so we were offered what they knew we preferred (eg how we have our coffee, that one of us had granola and the other didn’t etc). Speaking of breakfast,,, it was excellent. Our room was large and comfortable, with a great bathroom, windows and a balcony well placed for street watching, and some great extra touches. Wifi was fine. The hotel is set in the middle of the old town, so is fabulously positioned - it feels like you’re right in the heart of the town. That said - the old town is a rabbit warren of closely-positioned buildings and narrow lanes between them (many with restaurant tables along one half of the lane) so while we didn’t find this problematically noisy, if you’re looking for a very quiet location you’ll want to find a different area. But above all - I can’t get away from the genuineness and warmth of the service. It made our time at this hotel a real standout.

Teo’s home was a wonderful place to stay. It is up on the hill but Teo comes to pick you up from the bus station so you don’t have to pull your luggage up the hill. Going back down with the luggage was no issue. He gave us a welcome bottle of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed and all the information we needed about the island. The is an excellent restaurant just down the street Lungo Mare and a car rental station almost across the street. It is an easy walk back down to the harbour and the walk back up the hill is not too difficult. We had a lovely veranda that we enjoyed in the evenings and we had the ability to wash some clothes and dry them on a line. The bed was very comfortable but it was a bit on the small side so was a bit hard to open both bags. It is on one of the main roads but it wasn’t noisy at night. We really enjoyed the island of Hvar, Brac and Korcula. I would recommend visiting all 3 islands. We were late arriving as the catamaran’s were having difficulties, breaking down and also the weather. Be prepared to potentially have ferry delays.

I forget to mention to our lovely host that the appartment could do with with the number displayed on the outside, as it was ticky to find at first, other than that, it is bettsr than it looks on the photos, pleasantly surprised by the size, clean and comfortable and a view to die for, which does mean you have to climb those steps, but worth the effort.

I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights, and had such a pleasant experience! Location: Perfect, very central. Like a 6 minute walk from the port, 10minutes from old town, 5 minutes to the supermarket, 5 to 15 minutes to the beaches. The beds were comfortable and very clean, there's AC as well, and plenty of powerpoints in the room. The staff do an AMAZING job helping you with whatever you need and keeping the hostel spotless- thank you! The kitchen is spacious, it was great to cook- 2 big fridges and 1 freezer. Guests were respectful, and didn't touch your things. I did my laundry here (75 kuna) and they smelled AMAZING, Looked like they'd been ironed and folded beautifully- so it was very worth the price! It's super easy to meet people here- so if you come alone no prob. There's a FREE bar crawl every night! And they give you free beach and shower towels- If I return to Hvar, I'll be staying here for sure! Cons: - The wifi was sometimes not great- but still worked- and i was still able to book all my tickets and future travel plans - just had to allow extra time! - Checkout is at 10am which some people think its too early, but didnt affect me. You can still use the facilities just be out of the room. - Only 1 female bathroom between 2 mixed dorms, but it honestly wasnt a problem. I never had to wait to use the toilet.

We stayed just for 1 night, lots of things broken in our room - dishwasher, door hinges etc. The toilet was beyond filth at the bottom, there was no plug for the bath so couldn't use it. The whole apartment had this over perfumed smell that made me feel sick. We both felt it was prob likely she doesn't change the sheets often either. I gave it 2 stars as it was just basic and done what we needed and the view was beautiful, however the walk to the apartment was a nightmare soooo many hills and steps, I had been under the impression it was right beside town and because my mother is disabled I thought it would be easy to get to I was wrong.

What a place 😍! Me and my friend stayed here for 7 days.... Everything about the Dela B&B was amazing! The rooms were so fresh and clean- they had everything we needed, the view from our balcony was incredible, the pool was perfect. The best part of our stay was how welcoming the family were who owned Dela ... they made us feel like we were part of their family from start to finish- they were very thoughtful of us during our 7 day stay. The owner’s uncle gave us countless lifts to the town and to the beach whenever we wanted and it never seemed like it was too much bother, he was so kind and helpful- giving us advice on the best places to see whilst in Hvar to make our experience the best possible! I have never experienced a stay anywhere else in the world quite as welcoming, thoughtful and family oriented as The Dela B&B. I will be recommending it to anyone thinking of going to Hvar! Just Amazing 😍

In short, you get what you pay for here. In retrospect, we wish we had just paid a little more and stayed at a hotel right in the center of town. It would have made our lives a lot easier. This place is a good 15 minute walk from town, and almost entirely uphill. This was particularly annoying when we first arrived, tired and hungry after a rough (literally, the seas were rough and everyone around me was sick) ferry ride and had to trek uphill with all our luggage in 95 degree heat, only to get there, have to go knocking on doors to find the person in charge and then find out that our room wasn’t ready yet. This brings us to the whole checking in process, or lack thereof rather. We never heard anything from them in the days leading up to our stay, so we sent them a couple messages to confirm our reservation and let them know our ETA. The reservation was made through booking.com, so we sent the messages through there as we didn’t have any direct contact info. We never heard back, and we’re not sure whether booking.com was to blame or if they simply don’t check their email very often but the lack of communication was a bit unnerving. That being said, the room was clean, spacious and airy, and the people there were perfectly nice. When we were able to get into the room, we were given a map and some general info about the area. However, we would have gotten this same level of service at a hotel, without the communication issues and long treks to and from town. A hotel would have been a lot more convenient, and the trouble we went through was not worth the savings. At the end of the day, we would not recommend staying here.

Having read several reviews on this hotel I am at a loss and cannot believe I stayed in the same hotel as some of these reviewers. Lovely location and gardens. Warm welcome on arrival and able to access room before stated check in time. Large smart lobby room well equipped with private patio looking over the gardens, clean and welcoming. Peaceful and relaxing. Generous breakfast with good choice and replenished quickly, lovely friendly staff. Particular mention to Dominic who was a complete star. The only minor points that should be addressed are that we stayed 6 nights and our room was not swept or hoovered during that time and it got very dusty! Also the sunbeds on the beach are expensive at 90 kuna a day (for two people that equates to £154 over 7 days) Residents should be offered a much bigger discount, say 200 kuna (£25) a week? We loved this hotel and will come back again, thank you.

The owner kindly arranged for his girlfriend to pick us up from the port when we arrived, which was very much appreciated. We upgraded to the penthouse apartment on our arrival, just because the views were so amazing from the top floor! Getting a full view of the sunsets were worth the extra money. The penthouse apartment is beautifully presented with plenty of space and comfortable beds and sofas. It is very modern throughout and well designed. The apartment is perhaps a ten minute walk to the beach in one direction and another 10 minutes to town, both perfectly do-able. The neighborhood is very quiet and people are friendly. Just a small point to note, the check-out time is 10am which we weren't aware of and we had had a late night at Carpe Diem! We were caught a little by surprise but it wasn't a problem to stay a little longer to organise ourselves!

We visited Hvar as the first stop on our Croatian holiday which we had booked a long time before lockdown! Staying at the Teranea apartments was a fabulous experience . Andrea was available even before we arrived and helped make our visit 5* She booked our boat trip which was amazing and nothing at all was too much trouble . The apartments are so modern and spacious and comfortable. There are 2 pools perfectly sized to cool off and a lovely bar / breakfast area. I cannot speak highly enough of Teranea. The location is a 15 walk to the harbour downhill then along by the sea into the harbour and you can get a quick taxi back or walk off dinner on the way back up! We had breakfast included and prepared for us. We would not hesitate to return and thank Andrea and the owner very much .

This is an amazing family business and they make you feel at home. The hotel is very well located as it is at walking distance from the historical centre. I stayed in Komazin apartments for the first time in 2012 and wrote a review then. Since that stay, I have gone back every year. My most recent stay was this month (September 2019.) It just gets better and better at Apartments Komazin, which is a bit crazy because it was awesome to begin with. Every year, the family works to renovate apartments and update them. So nothing ever feels tired or old. I first stayed in Sunce apartment in 2012, and again this year; to me it feels like going home but a home where your mama is making sure the place is ready for you. And you really are living above a local family (the owners.) This is not a corporate enterprise. Andro always takes care of his guests - I travel constantly and I don't think I have ever met anyone who does more for guests than Andro does. He really looks after people. If there is a storm coming that could affect catamaran service, he is knocking on the door. He brings delicious strudel that his mother bakes and leaves water in the fridge. It is why I go back year after year. About the neighborhood - it makes me a bit mad when people go on about how Hvar is just a "party town" and overrun with drunk club people, and full of yachts. Well yes, this is the case in the area around the harbor and in some other hotspot areas (like Hula Bar) but it is NOT like this at Andro's place and it is not like this on the rest of the island. So I recommend to get a car, stay at Komazin apartments, live in a real neighborhood with real islanders around, and drive all over the island, which is so beautiful you won't believe it. Unless you want to go clubbing all the time.. in which case this is not the place for you. Comfortable rooms, balconies with views, and the most kind hosts.. I can not recommend Komazin apartments highly enough.

Looking for a hotel with access to the sea in Hvar, we were entirely unprepared for the beauty of this spot. From the moment we walked in, awed by the view from the lobby, our 2 day experience was near perfect. Even in Hvar, we could hardly bear to leave. A short walk from town, this is the only hotel with a private beach, which spills down in terraced levels to the sea. We chose to be right by the water, using steps and ladders to swim and snorkel from our sunbeds on the stone beach. In September the air was warm and the water delicious, with neon and angelfish etc swimming up to the hotel. The hotel, we discovered, is a spa, with treatments, massages and a spa beach lunch cafe. Staff were gracious and gentle. No one would accept our tips. Breakfast and spa food were lovely. True foodies will find many spots for dinner in town, a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. We took cabs. This was the loveliest place we stayed in all of our Croatia trip. We've made reservations for next year already.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for a week in June. Mirko was an amazing host and booked the most beautiful restaurant (Giaxa) for my birthday as well as popping round to the apartment with an ice bucket, wine and glasses. The apartment has everything you need and having 2 bathrooms was lovely. We stayed in the bottom apartment (still high enough from promenade to enjoy wonderful views from our lovely balcony) called Deep Blue. A nice 20 minute stroll and you’re in the centre of Hvar which is full of gorgeous restaurants and cute bars. Mirka’ mother-in-law Kate and her husband live next door and it was lovely to meet them. Kate has a wonderful wild garden just below our balcony which attracted the most beautiful butterflies every day. falco beach bar is a 5 minute stroll and hula hula (for the younger generation lol) is a 10 minute walk. I highly recommend a visit to Hvar and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thanks Mirko for everything. Hope to return soon.

Take a quiet moment, leave the port a little distance, walk about 15 minutes, you can walk along the coast. Breakfast is quite rich, the best thing is that the hotel has a car to carry luggage between the hotel and the dock. When the boat arrives, you can unload your luggage to play, or you can let the hotel take the baggage to the dock according to the time of the boat. Overall is a good holiday experience. The so-called Ctrip can not get a good room on the high floor, it is not certain, this room is the highest floor, and the sea view is also correct. If you want to say the shortcomings, it is that the shower is too small to turn around.

We absolutely loved our stay at Violeta Hvar. We started by calling and getting an easy ride from the ferry by the the host. Then we were shown to our room. The room is recently updated with everything you need. The first night our room had a little terrace with a table and a nice view. It was perfect for having a a beer or glass of wine. The first day we rented a scooter from Hotel Violeta. We had a blast on that scooter. It’s an easy way to check out Hvar and all the other little towns/beaches nearby. That night, we took a short little walk (10 min) to where all the bars and restaurants are at. Not a bad walk at all. We loved Hvar and Violeta Hvar so much we decided to stay another night. The second night, we stayed in a room with a balcony. I instantly fell in love with that room and balcony. It’s a big room with a kitchen and big balcony. The balcony was wonderful. I did not want to leave it. In fact the second day we took the scooter out again and then hung out on the balcony all night. It was so wonderful! I’d definitely stay there again! Thanks for a great stay, Violeta Hvar! You were so nice and have a great place! Mandy and John

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 8-10. We are travelling with Gate1 on a 2 week tour. Our guide downplayed this hotel as he mentioned the rooms are smaller than what we are used to, but the location is great as or was in the heart of the town. He was right. But we were very pleased as when we arrived, we found the place to be an excellent spot to spend 2 nights. Yes, the room is a bit smaller than what we may be accustomed to, but it is located in the BEST location in Hvar. Our room overlooked to Marina whetecal the action takes place. So many yachts docked with the rich and famous. The hotel does not have a swimming pool but it has a sister hotel called the Adriana that welcomes the Riva guests to use their spa and pool facilities. Good location, beautiful views and small rooms. Service was good overall, but uncle was weaker when checking out. I couldn't find the bill I signed for consumption. The hotel documents issued were all in local language and I couldn't understand. In addition to the room rate, there are also city taxes, insurance fees (I do n’t know what insurance is covered), and registration fees (I do n’t know what to note). It was said that the packaged breakfast was not available. I later complained and replied that I did not take it. The restaurant and room service are very good, and the front desk service is also very good during the day, that is, when checking out early in the morning, the uncle's ability to communicate is too weak. The hotel is not in the old city on the edge of the old city, but because the old city is not big, it is very convenient to visit the old city. It takes a few minutes to go anywhere, and the hotel has its own parking space. The decoration is new and modern, the bathroom in the room is also very large, and the bath water is very comfortable. The hotel is located within the pedestrian area of the old town and so is not directly accessible by car. The hotel has a few parking spots close by and if you let them know when you arrive they come round with a golf buggy and take you to the hotel - so there is no need to drag your luggage through the old town. The hotel, although in the old town is renovated in a modern style. The rooms are a good size for a city hotel and the bathroom has a large rain shower with good pressure. The rooms are set on three floors which you can access by stairs or lift. On the second floor there is a sun terrace, which is a nice spot to chill on outside sofas. They also have a lounge area on the first floor with big leather sofas, although we did not make use of it. Breakfasts are good and have a good selection. To clarify some facts in previous reviews - I do get annoyed with inaccurate reviews that either slam or praise s location. There is a lift in the hotel - it even talks to you as the doors close. The rooms, although not huge are large enough for a short stay - we had 3 large suitcases plus hand luggage. No, it does not have a gym or pool - if these are vital for you stay - book somewhere else!

It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town, but the adults outside are medium. The bus is nearby, so take a bus. The hotel is located in a modern building, excellent breakfast, Wi-Fi, bathroom, air conditioning, parking lot There is no inconvenience for newlyweds, and families with children are far from the old town, so you should take a bus or taxi. I drink coffee (Korean standard) at the cafe on the first floor of the hotel, but it is really cheap. It is much cheaper than Korea.

We can not recommend the Vida highly enough, and would not hesitate to stay there again should we return to Split. Once arranged via the hotel, our transfers from and to the airport were extremely efficient. Lina could not have been more helpful, and welcoming. Room 4 was not the biggest room we have ever stayed in, but was without doubt one of the best appointed. It provided double aspect windows, good storage for two suitcases, a safe, kettle and coffee maker, a fridge, and plenty of electrical sockets for the inevitable phone/tablet chargers. The bathroom was small, but again very well presented. Bedding and towels were of very good quality, and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Having breakfast off site was not an issue, as it was a short walk away. The restaurant offered an excellent range of menu choices. The Vida is situated slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of the old town, surrounded by other characterful buildings, but everything remains in easy reach. We would suggest that more use might be made of the bar area, perhaps offering a range of drinks and nibbles in the afternoon/early evening. Thank you for a great holiday!
