0.45km from Carrozzeria BonfantiWe spent our 3rd week in Italy in Crema at San Clemente. After seeing Rome, the Amalfi coast, Florence, Siena, and Venice, we were excited to see Crema and see what a smaller Italian town was like. We did not realize how charming Crema is as we strolled the Main Street to San Clemente. Crema is so beautiful. And when we arrived at San Clemente, Arlene greeted us warmly and walked us through to the lift. The building is so pretty and decorated so nicely. Our rooms were just as pictured and we loved them. Very comfortable with all the amenities. The beds and linens are so nice as are all the furnishings. Arlene has a welcome booklet in each room with all the info you need on the services they offer in addition to the traditional Italian breakfast.. The WiFi worked perfectly. And the breakfasts each morning were delicious. The entire staff are so nice. We rented the B&B’s SUV for a day to drive around the area and Arlene’s husband Enzo showed us the vehicle and made sure the navigation was set up and we were comfortable using it. He is a great guy. The rooftop terrace is a very relaxing area and was my favorite spot. One night they had a BBQ and included their guests and the food was delicious. Arlene and Enzo make you feel so welcome but also let you have space and privacy if you prefer. The B&B is in the heart of old town Crema with restaurants and markets and shops. But it is also quiet and peaceful. Crema is a great base for day trips to Bergamo, Milan, Lake Garda, and other areas. We did not want to leave. I would love to go back again and hope to. Thank you Arlene for being such a gracious and fun host.
