|0.44km from city centerOn our tour of northern Italy, we stopped in La Spezia. We chose this location to visit Cinque Terre. We had booked a double room at the CDH Hotel La Spezia for one night from 17.7. to 18.7.22 via an online booking platform. The hotel is very centrally located, 10 mins to the train station and 10 mins to the port, on foot. The shopping street is just around the corner. The reception by the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided us with all the information about their house and La Spezia. The room was already ready to move into. That is positive. It is recommended to book a parking space. This costs 12 euros per night. There is a hotel-owned garage, which is not far away. You can also park in front of the hotel, free of charge if there is space. The room is functionally furnished and has everything you need. The room size was ok for us. The bathroom is a bit small but ok. The room is clean. The breakfast was very good for this class of hotel. Everything you could wish for was available. Enough space, fresh products etc. Even freshly squeezed orange juice. We can recommend the CDH Hotel La Spezia for 1 to 3 nights.

Very nice room, inside a historic building, a few steps from the train station, to easily reach the train to the 5 Terre. Elisa and Simone welcomed us very well, offering us a coffee and advice that proved to be indispensable for our stay. They advised us where to find free parking, where to dine in good restaurants, offered us different choices for all price ranges and even booked for us. Elisa is super helpful, leave her phone number so you can contact her via whatsapp at any time for any advice. Finally, they also granted us the possibility of a late check-out, so that we could go back to the room and enjoy a shower after the day at the 5 terre. A place to return!

As soon as we arrived in Italy, our host Keta was in constant communication with us and allowed us to check in 4 hours earlier due to having an early morning flight from Edinburgh. Our room was immaculate, and we loved sitting out in the terrace each evening before dinner. The room was cleaned everyday and was always in a spotless condition. The location near the train station was perfect for us as we were visiting the cinque terre, and it was also near via prione where there are many excellent bars and restaurants. Would gladly recommend staying here to anyone thinking of visiting La Spezia and the surrounding area. Thank you Keta!

|0.32km from city centerThis place is nice, cozy and clean. Bed is very comfortable and the room is quite spacious. There is also a heating and air conditioning system for colder and warmer months. Tea/coffee facilities were provided and also towels and shower toiletries. There is a bar just outside the building, but there were no noise disturbances for me. Centrally located near most shops, local market and a short walking distance to the waterfront. La Spezia Centrale station is about a 10-15min walk. This is a great base for visiting Cinque Terre and there are also bus stops nearby if you are planing on going to Portovenere. Breakfast was included, which was Italian style breakfast, you get a voucher to eat in a cafe place nearby and it gives you an option to choose any kind of pastry and a hot drink. I was greeted by Pietro. He was very nice and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

The air con works well, the showers are invigorating and the Hotel is eco friendly. All these things are great but what makes this Hotel stand out way beyond most others is the staff. Each and every person I have dealt with here is interested, helpful, professional and at all times caring. At a time I was beginning to lose hope in the service industry The Poet Hotel has restored my faith. We have loved our unexpected time here.

Breakfast was good and extensive enough, certainly according to Italian standards. The staff at the reception and dining room were very friendly and helpful and spoke in both English and French. Good and stable wifi: 60Mbps One and the biggest disadvantage: thin walls so you could hear people on the corridor and in the room next to you, as if they were also in your room ... sound isolation therefore left the wishes. But already at all good hotel to explore the neighborhood: Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca,... However, there is little experience near the hotel but the advantage is that it is a quiet environment (outside the noise of other guests:) )

|0.55km from city centerThe hotel is located on the edge of the yacht harbour and is a very clean hotel. The service staff's attitude is good and humorous. It is a bit far from the hotel to go to the Cinque Terre. You can choose to buy a scenic ticket to take the train, or you can buy a ticket at the pier. For my military enthusiasts, I was delighted to see that five Horizon-class air defense destroyers docked near the military port were visible from the hotel window. This was the best night in Italy for 15 days, on Easter night, seeing a group of Christians doing mass, dining at a restaurant opened by a local people near the hotel, very authentic Italian meals and red wine. The hotel bed has two data line interfaces without converters, which is very considerate.

We were 3 adults and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate families and a small group of friends. Please note that there is city tax to be paid on site. Also just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the staff. Amazingly helpful. Helped us to check in after hours and then when staying again, helped to order pizza 😊. And you can store your luggage. Breakfast is included. You will get a voucher which can be redeemed in 2 places. It's for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry. Typical light Italian breakfast. Delicious. Just a note, to make sure you go to the correct one, ask before. As there are 2. One has RED flower pots in front and the other has WHITE. The staff is very helpful, and can chat to via WhatsApp. Thanks again!!!

Abbiamo quindi prenotato ( e pagato anticipatamente) la camera con vista mare. Prenotato tramite booking, siamo stati contattati dall hotel per fare la prenotazione direttamente con loro ed avere un po' di sconto. Accettiamo. Peccato che hanno dimenticato di dire che in hotel c'era un cantiere aperto. Quindi la nostra vista mare è diventata una vista ponteggio. Tra l altro la mattina favolosa colazione con il trapano nell' orecchio! Dormire un po' di più un optional visto che alle otto iniziavano i lavori. Ventola nel bagno non funzionante capite bene che l igiene non era il massimo. Hanno preteso tutto il pagamento all arrivo e si capisce il perché. Nessuna presenza in hotel ne della proprietaria né della segreteria. Chiederò senz'altro una parte di rimborso. Nota positiva Davide e la colazione ma sconsigliato per mancanza di trasparenza.

Parking was a bit challenging (parking in an underground public car park nearby cost EUR 15 overnight) On the surface the hotel looks nice, lobby, outside hotel, bar etc. Be careful unpacking your car outside the hotel as it is quite a busy road. Lifts are the old style very small and we needed to do two runs. Room was a bit dated but we had a comfortable nights sleep. Bathroom was huge with nice towels and great shower pressure. We would have given a 4 out of 5 score but there was no internet on the night we stayed. Bar service where I ended up getting internet service was excellent. Did not experience the breakfast as we had a long drive the following day.

|0.2km from city centerWe booked this place as it suited our requirements: pet-friendly, 3 bedroom room, central, modern and tidy, easy to get to with a car. Enrico has made sure we received all details prior to arrival. The communication was straight forward. We didn't mind that there was no actual reception. We actually liked that the apartment building gave us some insights in authentic Italian living. We were confused that on hotel.com it is mentioned that parking is available. However, right in front of the apartment building, there is max. 2 hour parking available for 0.75 EUR per hour - after 8 pm parking is free of charge. Remember, blue lines indicate time limited parking, whereas white lines indicate an unlimited parking duration. Mentioning this information would help future guests navigate through the busy Italian traffic. Upon arrival, we met the cleaner who was friendly and allowed us to check in 1 hour prior to the agreed check-in time. In order to keep this review short, our highlights are as follows: beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, hallway and room smelled divine, Nespresso coffee machine was provided, the elevator had a great Italian feel - in summary, overall the accommodation was immaculately cleaned, well looked after and highly modernised. Another suggestion we would make is to offer free coffee. We kinda expected the coffee to be free but then read the menu and realised we had to pay for the coffee after we have already drunk all of it. We browsed a few reviews online and were shocked what people had to say as for us the accommodation was just great! We assume the place has not always provided great service. However, we were not able to identify any of the claims made by previous guests. Thank you. Keep up the good work. We happily book with you again. Arrivederci.

You can also book the private parking and the staff are very nice and give you plenty of information and recommendations. They even gave us an iron when we asked for it. The only con would be that our bathroom was little and you had to close the door in order to get to the washbasin.

The room was very comfortable and incredibly clean. We had all the amenities for the bathroom and a good choice of coffees and teas in the room. The breakfast was delicious with endless coffees and home baked pastries (different every day!). The hosts were friendly and accommodating. They looked after us like we were their best friends. We’ll certainly be back!

It can only accommodate two people and luggage. But the room is quite spacious, there are slippers, the minibar is too rich, although we did not enjoy it. There is a coffee machine in the common area of the corridor and small snacks are provided. Lemons are abundant here, so there is also a supply of fresh lemons.
Due to limited space, breakfast is not served at the hotel, but at a restaurant at 11 o'clock on the left of the gate. You can get a croissant, juice and a hot drink with the hotel’s breakfast card.
The city tax was first charged when staying in the hotel. It may be due to limited staff. We did not find the service staff at 8 am on the day of check-out. We put the key in the room and left directly.
The overall feeling of the hotel is pretty good, you can recommend it!

The room is a suite in practice, has a lot of space, minimal but tasteful furnishings and a new and very wide bathroom. The hotel has a good quality of the room than many hotels. The bus stop is 1 minute walking distance while the station is a bit away and you need to walk about 15-20 minutes. It is not a matter of owners but the owner is very available on whatsapp. Attention, however, if you really need a mini-fridge, in the room is not c. On their site is listed among the services but in practice c is a kind of cigarette-fridge that doesn't cool anything. I was unfortunately required to make clear my need and I am sorry that the owner was unhappy to answer me bothered and shocked that I had to arrange for him because he had no mini-fridge. Fortunately, once again, my need for a service listed by them, after creating some discomfort in the course of a day, they activated to make it to me.

|1.1km from city centerThis is a super clean, well situated boutique hotel just outside the center of La Spezia. Parking is easy, as is access to Porto Venere by car. Included breakfast is plentiful, Italian style. Ask for front rooms, although there is some street noise by day. Proprietor Emiliano is helpful in every way. For driving to Porto Venere: keep driving into the town via the one-way system; if the parking garage is 'completo' (full), keep going and head back out of town; grab the first blue-line space you see; if still no luck, loop around and head back into town looking for a blue-line space.
