0.25km from Casa RicardoHotel is in a good location close to the beach and the marina on the other side of the road. Clean place, only complaint is that it is about a 25 minute walk to the train station - so coming with luggage from the train is a bit of a trek. Also all the restaurants on the street are a bit annoying as everyone tries to harass you to come eat in their restaurants as you are walking past. Didn’t have this issue in any other area.
0.4km from Casa RicardoThe best hotel (room ) if you want to spend your holidays on the beach!!! Room was clean and big. Was small kitchen with all kitchen staff, but was enough. But we was a bit disappointed about breakfast. I think they don’t need change for breakfast. Best breakfast in the room ( some biscuits, small water, small juice and milk) .
0.55km from Casa RicardoWe stayed here with my daughter and son-in-law for my surprise belated birthday present. Warm welcome from reception staff who were also very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was lovely, clean, overlooking the marina and the super yachts, and with a nice little balcony. Complimentary water daily and a coffee machine in room. Comfortable bed, great shower. Rooftop plunge pool and bar/outdoor seating area was great and provides great views of the harbour area. Breakfast was exceptional, as others have also said. I’ve never seen so much choice and my gluten free daughter was well catered for. Rosa, Patricia and the other lovely young lady who served breakfast were great! All in all a great stay at a great hotel in a location which allows easy access to the harbour, seafront and gothic quarter. We will definitely stay again when we return!!
0.57km from Casa RicardoWe stayed at Hotel Del Mar for a weekend break in Barcelona. Booked via British Airways flight + holiday deal, we had a real bargain. Arriving at the hotel, it is moments away from Barceloneta Metro Station, and a few moments walk away from the beach, harbour and Gothic Quarter. It’s a really ideal location to base yourself in for exploring Barcelona, with about a 15-20 minute walk to La Rambla. The staff are absolutely fantastic and friendly. They speak perfect English (which was great, as much as I try to converse in the local language where I can, I wasn’t sure on how well using my broken Spanish would go down in Catalunya l!) and were really helpful. The hotel building itself is understated but well built. The hotel layout is different to most due to the building, but the lifts were fab, glass walls so you could see out to the inner area of the hotel. The room was a decent size, bathroom was absolutely fine, the extra bed was nice and comfy for our daughter. Our only issue at all - was the heat. We were absolutely cooking. We had the window open any time we were there, all night and even held the door ajar when we were in the room and not sleeping. Outside was a balmy 15 degrees in the day. Locals were in coats and scarves, but we were in shorts t-shirts and dresses! The room however, was borderline unbearable the first night. After asking reception about the A/C, they said it doesn’t work as it only provides heat, not cool. Now, this might have just been us Welshies being used to the cooler weather at home, but it was damn hot. The 2nd and 3rd nights were much better though as we left the door and window open for an hour or two before bed. Breakfast was more than adequate - plenty of options, including toast, sausages, bacon, eggs, fried tomatoes as well as croissants, muffins, doughnuts, a selection of cold meats and cheeses as well as teas, coffees and juices. Whilst not the best breakfast I’ve had, it was free and had plenty to get you set up for the day. There were also a few vending machines for picking up some snacks in the evenings. We would definitely stay again, location is fab with plenty of connections and lovely staff. Gràcies! / ¡Gracias!

0.59km from Casa RicardoThis is best described as a guest house but none the worse for that. I occupied a double room with a balcony and you cannot fault the location. A 3 minute walk to La Born, 2 minutes to the marina and just a little further to El Gotico. The nearest metro is also only about 2 minutes away. The room was spotlessly clean, with a fridge, a safe and a/c. The bathroom is small, and doesn't offer much privacy if you are a couple as the door is of glass and there is a gap all the way around but if that is not a problem for you, then the rest of the amenities are fine. Shower was good and powerful with plenty of hot water. The receptionist is there from 9 until 9 and you don't have all the services available to you that you would in a hotel, but you don't pay hotel prices either. Everyone speaks a very high level of English and are super friendly. Linens are clean and fresh and the room clean but simple. I tried one night with the balcony doors open, but got defeated by the mosquitoes, the 2nd night I used the a/c which was too efficient and I had to get up to turn the temperature up, the 3rd night was peaceful and comfortable. Blankets are available in the cupboard area of the room. I would highly recommend this place. The room is exactly like the photo on the website. It is small, clean and simple but well priced. It is not luxury but it is everything you could want. Coffee is available for a small price from a nespresso machine in reception. If you want luxury, pay more and go to a hotel, but it would be a shame because this is a little hidden gem.

0.6km from Casa RicardoStayed here with a friend for two nights, sightseeing. On first impression, it's very secure with a buzzer and metal gates inside. Once inside it's rather smelly (sewage) and slightly confusing. The reception area is up several flights of stairs (Or in the lift but I didn't trust the look of it). Check in was fine and the room was also fine. We had a clean twin bedroom, with hairdryer and adequate storage. I would've liked a safe and a window ideally but it wasn't a big deal as we only spent an hour a day there apart from when we were asleep! The main thing was that it's clean and comfortable for us, knowing we didn't pay over the odds for this. Shower was a nice, powerful one too. And thankfully once in the bedroom there was no smell...it was only really on the ground floor when you first walk in. Location was great and we walked to the harbour, the beach, all of the local sights very easily. We used the metro to get to sights further afield (Camp Nou, Park Guell and Sagrada Familia). Breakfast was served in a sister hotel up the road. All was nice there, toast, pastries, cooked meats, cereal, yoghurts, etc. Good coffee too and good selection of drinks. Again no windows though in the restaurant as it was down in the basement really. Overall we had a wonderful couple of days and Lyons hotel was a great base for our time here.
0.62km from Casa RicardoThe main reason I booked this hotel was because they offer a quad room. I booked it not expecting much but knowing the location is okay (stayed in the area several times). This unassuming hotel is on a backstreet near to Barceloneta metro which offers great transport links. The reception staff were friendly and professional. The foyer was comfy enough and as with all of the public areas was impeccably clean. Breakfast was served downstairs in the basement and a great choice of continental bits and bobs was available. The hotel room was large, airy and once again really clean. The beds were super comfy. The bathroom was spacious. We had two windows that looked onto the narrow street and beyond the rooftops. This is a great little hotel. If you want luxury it might not be for you, if you're after a comfortable clean central base then definitely consider it.
0.65km from Casa RicardoThis is a great place to stay! We were actually booked at a different hotel around the corner, but were diverted here when they had some sort of maintenance problem. It seemed at least comparable, maybe a little nicer, so we just went with it. Nearby La Rambla, with easy access to shopping and restaurants. The beach is about a 15-20 minute walk. Comfortable beds, very clean room, with friendly staff. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and was a great start to our day. Only only negative had to do with the temperature of the room, which was a little warm and stuffy, with no way to really adjust cooler. Apparently, the AC doesn't work in February, so even though temperatures were quite mild (70 F during the day), the room was fairly warm. All in all, we would gladly stay here again.
0.71km from Casa RicardoI stayed here for a week recently, on business, and was pleasantly surprised at the experience. The greatest thing about this hotel is the combination of location and price. It's in the Gothic Quarter, which I didn't really have any particular knowledge about before I booked. But what it means is that all of the architecture in the neighborhood is gorgeous and old, with fascinatingly maze-like street layout, and very walkable. And also there is enough excellent food around to satisfy oneself for a long time. Exactly what I want when I'm in Europe. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating - I made a number of inconvenient requests and they fulfilled them happily. The tapas bar downstairs is acclaimed, and the food was good, though I had better dining experiences during my trip.
0.73km from Casa RicardoMy wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights here. Had to try it based on the reviews and didnt disappoint. Service of a Ritz in a small intimate boutique hotel setting Checkin staff were perfect. Hot Towels and drinks upon arrival She showed us our room and whole hotel. Bellhop super friendly helped with luggage and anything we needed. Hotel arranged dinner reservation one night as well as airport transfer each way. Housekeeping perfect. Had a bottle of Cava in room upon arrival as well as chocolates. Fresh water in glass bottle and different treat for each of us at night. Location great in gothic quarter. Rooftop nice. Would use small pool in summer not heated for winter Only 20some rooms so really nice feel. We had a junior suite was nice bedding very comfortable pillows great. Nice rain shower. Got breakfast package nice buffet and hot options omelet etc. Staff was really what made stay special. Would love to go back again next time in Barcelona.
0.74km from Casa RicardoRooms were set up in former apartments/flats. Ours was on floor just below reception. Facing the station, noise definitely required ear-plugs but dropped off after midnight car noises abated. English is better in their written communication than in-person and they're very responsive to email inquiry prior to staying with them. A lot would depend on who was at reception, so if you get the friendly young English proficient gal who ushered us to our flat ( allowing us to check in at noon, particularly welcome after our 'red eye' from Florida) it would be best to ask HER about Tapas bars and orientation questions. Older woman my husband muddled through with later that evening was far less fluent. Ability to leave one's luggage was welcome though very much open to 'honor' system out in their open lobby. Our 'flat', shared w/ a couple w/ young kids felt as though the noisy kids were IN our (private) bathroom, every word and body sound carried through the vents. Best to share flats between travel companions. Because we arrived on separate days the couple we were traveling with were sadly upstairs from us instead. Despite flaw, well priced and location couldn't be easier to find by train or more ideal to the Barceloneta eating /sightseeing surrounds (or our cruise ship, though you'll want a taxi to port: 14 euro/4 of us w/ 3 bags). Booking gave this a 5 rating where I feel 6 or 6.5 better reflects the value you are getting compared to the many hostels in the same area. Sadly, my review is partially biased as we were told w/I 3 weeks of coming that this Pension was overbooked and they were going to move us to a 'sister' hostel which they thankfully decided not to do when i complained that we'd had our booking 3 1/2 months ahead of time. I would have given them a slightly higher rating if it hadn't been for this unusual 'wrinkle'.
Hotels Near Casa Ricardo In Barcelona Review
Fortunately, I chose this hotel at the beginning, and I was quite satisfied with it, especially the Chinese staff and comfortable beds. Would recommend to friends.
Location: It is about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport and the price is about 35 Euros. Going to the airport can ask the front desk for help. There are two supermarkets within 100 meters from the entrance and turning left. The medium-sized (much larger than 7-11) has everything in stock, especially the second one is more complete! Closed on Sundays, the slightly larger one is open until 21:30. Because there are so many thieves in the subway, the whole process is mainly walking and taxiing. The subway station does not know how far away. It is about a 10-minute walk from Casa Mila and Casa Batlló, and nearby (15-minute walk) there are Chinese food and a super delicious shop.
Hygiene, facilities: Very clean, two bottles of free mineral water every day, and non-heavy chocolates on the pillow. The bed was comfortable, not hard or soft, and the quilt was particularly comfortable. Hangers, disposable slippers, disposable toiletries, kettle, refrigerator, safe are all available, and there is a mini pool and gym upstairs. Fruits and discount cards were also given on the first day of stay.
Service: the best! On the first day, the front desk was assisted by a young Chinese service man who helped bring luggage to the room and sent us a map to introduce the location of the attractions. I can basically meet him in the next few days, greet him warmly, and asked him many questions, I really appreciate it! The service is also highly recommended for this hotel.
Some suggestions: The shelf in the bathroom will touch the arm, the air conditioner in the room will respond slowly, and both pieces of the bathrobe will be damaged.
Stayed here for three nights in July. We ended up here by accident after our original hotel cancelled, but couldn’t have worked out better. The junior suite is generous by any hotel’s standards and the bathroom is excellent. The hotel is really well located, and we more or less walked everywhere. You can walk to the really nice restaurant district of Born and the beach very easily as well. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, despite the challenging circumstances all hotels find themselves in at the moment. The rooftop bar is the highlight though, with stunning views across the city, great cocktails and and a great soundtrack. Sitting in the pool and then having drinks up there was a highlight of the holiday. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar’s ‘Instagram corner’ where bored but clearly well trained boyfriends/husbands would take 847 pictures of a partner pouting at various different angles or acrobatic poses. The one woman dance routine on one occasion was a little much though. Maybe we’re just too British. When things return to normal (please!) we will definitely be back. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of style and luxury in their holiday. Special shout out to the reception staff who were very patient with my Spanish! It made me feel much more competent than I am.
What an amazing Hotel it should be 5 star! It was a little off putting when we arrived as there was a small homeless camp outside, but there was no bother from any of them, and once inside it was soon forgotten about! On arrival, check in was quick and we were offered a welcome drink, Cava for us and water for my daughter, she also received a H10 teddy and a sweet! The lovely man checking us in (i'm so sorry i forgot your name) noticed it was my 30th Birthday that day and gave us a room upgrade to a suite. The view from this room was unbelievably awesome with a window the full length of the room! The bed was huge and so comfy, the bathroom was well stocked with every toiletry/accessory you'd need and had a jacuzzi bath! The coffee machine in the room was brilliant. We had a cocktail at the bar which was good, and although a bit expensive was the same price as most in the area. One downside was the outdoor rooftop pool wasn't heated which meant although it was open, it was far too cold to use! Lovely seating area up there though which we made use of. A huge thank you to the hotel for the delivery in the evening to our room of Cava, Chocolate Mousse, sweets, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries, The room upgrade was more than enough, and this was so unexpected, what a lovely way to end my birthday! In the morning we were able to watch the sunrise from our bed with a coffee which was very lovely! Breakfast was incredible, nothing was missing, all well stocked and nothing ever ran out! Check Out was super quick and we were able to leave our bags for a few hours before we moved to our next hotel. Biggest downside about our stay was it was only for 1 night, we wished we had booked for longer!
I travelled with my children and we had a superior room with three separate beds. The room was spacious and we had a view of the beach across the road. I have given five stars as the hotel delivers what it sets out to. The staff were very helpful before I travelled, as well as during our stay. I liked that they sent me a survey whilst I was there. We had assumed the air conditioning was not working because we travelled offseason. We were offered an upgrade, which we did not take, however, we did get a fan and this helped a lot.The staff also helped me book tickets online, checked us in early. Customer service was excellent. The restaurants nearby are excellent, for breakfast, lunch, dinner whatever you prefer. There is a shopping centre nearby which a great variety of food, we chose the tapas.
Just checking out of the hotel after a great weekend in Barcelona with my son to watch Barcelona play Getafe. The hotel is in a good location just 10 minute walk from Collblanc Metro station with direct links to the airport and 10 minutes to Nou Camp for the game. The check in staff were great on Friday afternoon, also the cleaners were polite and always said hello. The cafe / bar is best avoided. The staff try to ignore you, on my first visit the two members of staff spent 5 minutes trying to avoid me, the lady on Friday evening even came from behind the bar, straightened the four chairs next to me then walked away. We ate in the hotel on Saturday night, the prices are reasonable but the quality is lacking. Also the food available was disappointing, many items in the short menu were out of stock. When we got the bill I was told that the bottle of tap water we also had wasn’t on the bill but we had to pay an extra €3 for this. Not sure if this went through the till or in the top jar. Last night I bought a 1/2 litre jug of sangria to take to the room, was charged the €5.65 as per the menu but the drink was given in a glass the same size as a standard sangria I had on Saturday night. I questioned this with the bar staff but they were adamant they were right. In the room after I had finished the glass, I filled the glass up with tap water using the 200ml bottle of sprite we also bought. It was no surprise that the 500ml sangria glass only takes 400ml of the liquid. As we checked out, my son went to reception a minute before me to get some €1 coins for a few games of pool before we left. He asked the receptionist, who gave him 4 x 50c coins in return. He said this wasn’t enough but she dismissed him. When I walked down moments later he was upset so I challenged the receptionist. She said she was right but after my insistence she back down and gave us the other €2 back. She said the hotel did. It have any €1 coins. We asked at the bar, but he didn’t have any either. We could have just been unlucky with the water charge, the sangria being short and with my son being short changed at reception, I will never know. I would not return to this hotel to find out. Please book somewhere else.
We spent 4 nights at the hotel in December, although a little way out of the center, the area was fine with many bars, restaurants, bakery/coffee shops. The subway close by, easy to navigate to the airport by train on a direct line and into the city. Sagrada Familia cathedral on same road, 10 minute walk. The staff were very helpful, good command of English and the rooms clean/well serviced but in line with most European city’s, small side. Kettle coffee/milk etc in the room. Superb power shower, in fact the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Had breakfast there once, €11 and was fine, the usual continental type, but coffee shops nearby much cheaper if you are just looking for coffee/croissant. I wouldn’t hesitate staying there again and noticed they had an outside area off the breakfast room, and large seating area on the upper floor that anyone can access.
