I'd like to commend the front desk reception and housekeeping for their friendliness, professionalism, and courteous manner. As a solo traveler, the front desk staff went out of their way to help me as much as possible. A very special thanks to Nada who helped take care of all of my hotel requests during my stay. She was a great help in making my stay as convenient and smooth as possible, specifically in helping to accommodate an unexpected flight delay. The excellent customer service made up for the less than desirable hotel conditions. The hotel location itself is conveniently located next to many good restaurants, Journal Square, and is close to the airport, but isn't in the nicest area. While the hotel room was clean, tidy, and surprisingly spacious, the hotel on the whole is need of a serious remodeling. Walls are a bit thin and I occasionally would hear other guests in adjacent rooms yelling and having arguments, although thankfully these were brief and didn't keep me awake. I didn't encounter any mice or bed bugs which is a huge plus given what I've read about other hotels in the NY great metropolitan area. The room smelled clean and looked clean, and housekeeping did a great job turning down and cleaning daily. The free breakfast is sp**** but satisfactory, and provided all the basic necessities I would need in a breakfast. Overall, I had a good stay in large part because of the customer service. Thank you!

Upon arrival, we were slightly disappointed due to the size and cleanliness of the room. There were also immediate issues with the toilet. Once contacting the office, they were happy to help mediate the issue. We ended up requesting a change of room due to being fed up with the toilet failing to flush efficiently after the first two nights. We were happy with the second room! The continental breakfast was minimal but sufficed, especially with a Dunkin Donuts right next door. The parking lot was great, lots of spots and was semi-fenced in. Wifi worked great and the front desk was helpful with any concerns we had. We were travelling into NYC via the Hoboken PATH subway which was about a 10-minute drive that we used uber for. It was a great place to crash after busy days in the city.

In the attempt to find a hotel in Jersey City, NJ, which was relatively cheap and had free parking. The pictures of the hotel looked nice. So I stated its just a room to sleep in. When we walked in it had easy check in. The hotel looked newly renovated. Got to our room and the room looked nice. I always check the bathrooms, it seemed fine until I sat on the toilet and looked at the sink. A thick coating of mold in the sink. Its one of the sinks that sit under the counter. I'm a cleaning woman on the side and that just turned me off. We had issues with the air conditioning but the front desk came up and took care of it for us. The shower had no pressure, basically just dribbled and the towels couldn't have been washed with softner, because it took my skin off to dry with them. Most hotels have at least two rolls of toilet paper, this one had a half roll and that was it. Basic needs. The beds were too soft for me. Also heard people walking around the room above us. If your not too picky it would work for you, but for those of you who like a nice hotel....stay away.

If you want a hotel near New Jersey, book this one! ! marvelous! ! Service, quality, convenience and cleanliness can all get full marks! ! Just next to the path, it is very convenient to go anywhere, not less than 100 meters. From big supermarkets, small supermarkets are very close. The service staff are very nice. Room facilities are very good! Big enough, convenient switch, coffee machine, capsule coffee, mineral water, everything you want. It's just that there are no disposable slippers, which is slightly inconvenient. The facility is really new! very good~~

I have been staying here for the last 6 years and had very good experience this far . Office is across the road and is usually convenient during a business visit . My colleagues usually stay at the Westin which is a little further down and more fancy . I just found the hotel staff more friendly and the room with balconies are good fresh air . I never had complaints with housekeeping. This time however I was surprised. I checked in late evening and found the room not fresh . There was a stale smell of sweat in the room . I was exhausted so just crashed . Next day I spoke to front desk who offered to change the room . I just requested a good cleaning and change of linens and all was well yesterday. I had requested for housekeeping. At around 111 am as I was stepping out I saw the housekeeping lady and requested for cleaning. She rudely said , “ I will come when I come , it’s mot your turn “ and turned her back to me . I returned at 3 and found the room still not done . I called front desk and they said they will look into it . The housekeeping lady knocked and asked me to leave the room as she didn’t feel safe with me . I offered to wear a mask . She refused. I called front desk and they asked me leave the room . I find this insulting, I was not in my room the entire day and came back at 3 assuming house keeping would be done . I was asked to leave my room . I have been now delayed and inconvenienced by this turn of events . I also don’t know how you have staff who speak so rudely. I think I am going to stay at Westin from now onwards !

The room was nice! Large and comfortable, two large beds of nearly 1.5 meters, a family of three is OK! There is also a sofa outside, which is equivalent to a suite without a door. There is a large supermarket behind the hotel for easy shopping. Recommend two places to eat near the hotel, beautiful meals: Cheesecake, American Internet Red Restaurant, cakes are especially good! There is also a Chinese restaurant. I can't remember the name, it tastes good!

Spent 8 nights here on a family holiday and loved the hotel. Previously when we visited we stayed in Manhattan and found rooms small and noisy. This time we were travelling with two boys 6 & 3 and wanted more space, so we tried Jersey City and so glad we did. Location is great for visiting New York, just above a path subway station (or the ferry which was fantastic on a sunny day) that takes you into Manhattan in 10 minutes but rooms are twice the size at it's so much quieter. Locally, there were lots of bars, restaurants and super markets if you wanted to spend your evenings closer to the hotel. The breakfast had a good choice when you consider it is complimentary. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. My wife is allergic to dogs, so we were nervous about the pet friendly policy. However the manager ensured our room had a deep clean before we arrived and we had no issues. We stayed in 1202 which had a view statue of liberty which topped things off nicely. If your are planning a family holiday to New York or Jersey city you won't regret staying here

So we have just completed a 3 day stay in 2 of the rooms at this hotel. One room was a Studio King with the Kitchen (microwave, small fridge with separate freezer (big enough to put the ice bucket into) with electric burner range, coffee maker, sink and utensils and cookware). The beds were very comfortable but the A/C in our room was lacking considering the size of the room. Our other room (2 Queen Beds with microwave and mini fridge - think of your standard size room) had 2 A/C units blowing epic-cold air in it. While the windows had a blackout roller blind as well as a mesh blind; sadly the epic fail was the valance which was mounted too high (room 1115) and let all the morning light in above the roller blinds. The Studio King was spacious, had a swivel TV which, while lacking in channels, had access to Netflix and YouTube so you could log in to your own account and watch your own streaming service. The sofa/bed-couch was comfortable enough for sitting and there was a large office-chair for the countertop seating area as a makeshift desk. Lots of power outlets and USB ports. The bathroom door was "off" its track on the back side so we were not able to close the door, and the handle was very loose (others had clearly tried to move it using the handle). Heavy glass doors and carpet were not a great combination in the design on this room. The breakfast was very good and food was hot. Good amount of choice, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, hot eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes and either pancake, waffle or french toast. The location of this hotel is ideal unless you're bringing your own car. Closest car park is 25 dollars per day with NO in-and-out privileges; so leave your car in the spot for the duration of your stay. Use Uber, Lyft, Doordash and Uber Eats if you cannot walk around the City. Concierge lady was very helpful and front desk were helpful when there was a mixup with our 2nd-room reservation. Will stay there again, but if you need it cold... go for the regular room (which is smaller but much colder and more like a standard hotel room).

I was very impressed with the hotel, but I only used the hotel ’s valet parking overnight on Thursday night. On Friday night, I parked my car in a nearby parking lot and paid the $ 25 overnight parking fee. Saturday When checking out at noon, I found that the hotel still charged me two nights valet parking fee, a total of 88 dollars, an extra valet overnight parking fee of 38 dollars on Friday night (the hotel overnight parking usually 50 dollars a night, 38 dollars a night weekend) At that time, I objected to the hotel front desk and asked the hotel VALET service staff to explain to the front desk that I would only park on Thursday and one night. The hotel front desk staff agreed to change the bill to one night, that is, 50 dollars, but I will collect it when I return home. The statement was still US $ 88 and the credit card was deducted. I repeatedly complained to the hotel via EMAIL and requested a refund of the overcharged US $ 38. So far, it has been unsuccessful. I am extremely disappointed with the checkout front desk service of the hotel. I have no credit.
