I stayed in Hotel Central Plaza, Siliguri, before also. This time I stayed after almost 2 years. Hotel is located end of Hill Cart Road near National Highway. The hotel will appear average from outside. Even when you get inside the property. But the rooms are good , airy, well maintained and is sufficient for the price. The furniture is also quite okay. My suggestion to the hotel ***agement they should include a mineral water, morning tea and newspaper. If you do not want to provide a tea - please keep a tea and coffee maker in the room. Another suggestions try to keep iron with stands as a complimentary service. The food is quite good but the room service call handling must improve. You can make the reception and the corridor on every floor brighter by using light colour paint ( white or cream) as well as put some bright lights. These will change the way your hotel looks. My stay on the whole was good. I will recommend this hotel. Its better than some flashy hotels.

Did what it was supposed to do, provided bed, food and shelter. Lack of hot water to shower on arrival. Nasty Mosquitoes despite Mossi bashers in the rooms. Comfortable bed and helpful staff with patience. As I was struggling after a bout of sickness, I was not able to enjoy the food in the restaurant, however my companions gave full marks to the quality of the food they were severed and rated as better than the offerings of our previous 5 star Hotels, so full marks.

Stayed here at the apollo hotel in sept 2019, stayed for 3 nights..reception staff pleasant, hotel, tired but relatively clean in rooms, indoor pool area could be cleaner especially jaccuzzi. Over all a pleasant stay, however, the only downside is the bar*** at the cocktail bar, who we found to be very rude,n unpleasant..in 34 years in stayin in jersey we have never found such an unpleasant rude ***....shame really as everything else ok...we wete not the omly residents to have that view of the bar***...or cocktail bar*** as he called himself...must get some customer training for this individual...enjoyed the breakfast n all other areas of the hotel....ben n honey

Worst experince of Oyo ever. It is a bunglow which is converted into hotel. When I reached at 9.30 pm, seeing the discount which was applied, I was given the worst room. Very small, hardly a person to walk in. The bathroom was unclean and no hot water. There was no water or tumbler as well. No one to guide or help out. In the morning had to wake up the caretaker to give some hot water. He opened another room and to my surprise it was double size of the room offered to me. It was an hassale to go there fr a shower. Even though breakfast was included, nothing was offered or even laid out in the reception area. I had to leave then at 8 am. There are loads of properties in Siliguri. Even the area were this is located is quite shaddy with nothing to eat or go out to purcajse close by as well. I would rate this at 1/5. Avoid this property!

We 3 friends stayed over here in month of December as well as in January during out motorcycle ride to Bhutan and back. The hotel is located adjoining the main street of pradhan nagar and is walking distance from the Bus depot, and the big market areas. The staff is very helpful and approachable. Breakfast is simple and basic, not to expect much, but there are ample eateries around to make up for it. Rooms are clean and well kept. Best for an overnight stay during trips. Our bikes got secure parking too and there is limited parking space opposite the property too.

Hotel is amazing, the walk is but hectic due to the narrow slope. Rooms are very clean, bed is quite fluffy and good, we couldn't use the tv, wardrobe please do not use as it was unclean. Washroom is very clean, the only problem is the geyser, after some time water turns cold so it becomes difficult to take a bath. Food is quite good in comparison to other restro in darjeeling. Rates are quite moderate and taste is good. You can get good vegetarian indian and Chinese food. Service is spectacular. I would recommend it to everyone.

Reached on 28th December noon. The owner, Ms. Chatterjee greeted us. Once we checked in the room, all our travel fatigue vanished seeing the breathtaking view of Kangchenjunga through the window from bed. We did not need to go to Tiger Hill, we just enjoyed the spectacular sunrise for the next 3 days just sitting on the bed or standing at the attached balcony. Food quality and quantity are both good. The hotel staffs are very friendly and dedicated. The rooms are spacious and with all amenities functioning well on those cold days. We overall enjoyed the stay a lot. On 31st night hotel authority organised a party with campfire on the hotel lounge, which made this holiday trip a memorable one. Just waiting to return there at the end of the year. Once again, thanks Pahari Soul team, who made our holiday tour such a beautiful one.

We stayed 2 nights. Unfortunately not the experience I was looking for The property is very well located with excellent view of Kanchenjunga, and a little longer but walkable distance from mall road. It is extremely old heritage property with tremendous potential but the charm and comfort are missing. Staff is warm and polite, and extremely hospitable, though not very well organised. Breakfast was decent. I think the hotel ***agement really need to rethink their approach and be more proactive. They cited limitations due to landlord permissions to modify but there were ***y aspects where I do not believe landlord permissions are required. We were in a premium cottage named Pandim. Two bedrooms (the sitting area in front having been converted to bedroom). The rooms were extremely disappointing and very poorly done a. No carpets or rugs on the floor. Esp. given the cold temperatures, it was a nightmare to put foot on the floor b. Not even a cheap painting on the walls! c. Upholstery was really flimsy d. Bathroom...best not used! not dirty but really in a very bad condition. Also extremely cold with no heating etc. esp. given that unlike hotel rooms where bathrooms are inside, this was exposed to open air and hence even more cold. e. Furniture ...laid out randomly without thought for need/use etc. f. Only one heater between two bedrooms. As I said, even without structural changes, there is enough that can be done to improve the experience.

Everything is very good, including the cleanliness of the room, service attitude, food taste, cost performance and so on. In addition, I also like Darjeeling's climate, scenery, and local Nepalese. But the only regret is that the driver recommended by the landlord is slightly more expensive and the service is average.

Having spend about a fortnight in this hotel I had one of the best stays amongst 50+ hotels I have visited in past 2-3 years. Food is outstanding and Justice is done to all kind of cuisines. One can appreciate the decor, architecture & locational beauty everyday. And the staff is absolutely coordial. Only the AC had overcooling issues but that's not much of an issue. I miss being at barsana & yes.. especially the lasagna..a must try😊

I stayed in this hotel on 3rd September with family. Hotel is near to market. Road leading to hotel is very narrow as there are parked vehicles on one side of the Road. We have only breakfast and it was nice. Very spacious and clean room and bathroom also. View towards market side is very nice. Entry to hotel is bit confusing. All hotel staff are very courteous. They allotted us a room whose window can not be closed as external painting work was going on and they have taken support for scaffolding from window. On my request within 5 minutes they allotted us another room.

This is my first time stay in Hotel Dolphin and I must stay I am pretty pleased. The booking process was pretty smooth. I did book from the hotel website after getting a good deal including breakfast. Location of the property is a plus. Situating next to Raj Bhawan and windows are facing towards the majestic Kanchenjunga. If the weather god is favorable then you can see the peaks from your bed! Since it is a bit far from the Chowrasta, the quiet and peace is very enjoyable. Another advantage of the hotel is the staff behavior. They are always eager to help. With special request they do provide customized food especially for children. Areas of improvement: 1. No Tea/Coffee maker in the room. 2. No Wifi network in the hotel 3. Mobile network is very poor in the rooms. Overall the hotel is recommended.

Darjeeling is usually cluttered with hotels, guest houses and homestays these days all claiming that they are perfect or close to perfection when it comes to meeting tourist needs whence on vacation. I one my frequent annual exploits to Darjeeling have come across several of these institutions some of which have come close to their claims and some of them so far away from it that it made me wonder of how they are still in business. But Shangrila Regency by a landslide and a bit more lies in the former category of places which have kept its promises. The rooms are cosy, well designed with an added bonus of simple well placed Tibetan motifs and touches on their mirrors. The beds soft warm and cosy and the blankets warm enough to keep the harsh chill of winter Darjeeling away. The pillows soft and just right a balance plenty of best inns in the world struggle to get right still. The veran*** attached to the room spacious and boasting ample views if you are on 200 numbered rooms and legendary views if you are on the floor with 300 numbered rooms. The attic rooms are also splendid with room 503 having knockout views. The bathrooms were neat and clean and spacious. The showers working flawlessly with a geyser which delivers. The amenity kit with all the basic amenities that one could think of. Clean towels changed once a day whence given access to daily room cleaners. The room cleaning fast and efficient leaving no space for complaints. The reception ***agement always with a smile on their face and ready to help you with your every need to make sure you are indeed going splendid vacation without any hitches. The hotel staff courteous and always available at the moments notice. Extra perks for delivering forks, knives and plates, cola bottles on cold winter Darjeeling nights even when the clock struck 11. The breakfast lounge has to be their pièce de résistance with the views it has to offer and the food that they serve, both being flawless in delivering awe and taste. The lounge can be used any time to chill and have a chat with family while listening to some music and sitting by the fire and enjoying stunning views out of the windows any time of the day or evening. The food also gets an A+ on my report sheet. All in all this hotel in Darjeeling comes as close flawlessness as I have witnessed. My family and I enjoyed a great vacation at Queen of the Hills this December which was made even more memorable and stress-free due to this hotel with some great employees. One thing I can tell is - that when I am back next winter which I most certainly shall, this hotel will be one of my topmost choices where I do wish to find rooms.

It was our great fortune - Otherwise, in this rainy season, no beauty can be seen in the clouds, the fog, the rain in the Darjeeling! But at the first dawn we were fascinated by the magnificent form of Kanchanjunga! Five stars of the Mystic Roddy Resort should be available just for this view. As you sit here and see Kanchenjunga there is no need to go to Tiger Hill! But you can go there for mental satisfactory or just see little wide angel/ Panaromic views only. I attached some pictures; First images from Resort and Second from Tiger Hill (Time: 09:35am & 7:06 am) Rooms are comfortable and tidy, but the lack of care is a bit annoying! Probably; Because of the cold air, Room is locked inside because of a slight foggy smell and damp feeling.have to care furniture little more. The quality of the food is avarrage! If they try, they can improve here too! The Bengali ***ager, Mr Sudipta, is quite sincere and kind(Newly Appointed) - but perhaps he lacks a coordination with the rest. Everyone at the hotel is very sincere and friendly but There is a slight shift in serving for linguistic problems. Nevertheless, each and every one of them had a sincere love for me and my family! Ms.Nivedita from Kolkata office has been a great help to me! Special thanks to him! If I go back to Darjeeling, I will definitely get you there. And I'll come to get what I wanted.

When you first step into Lamahatta Residency, a bearded Binay Chhetri will greet you (no relation to Sunil Chhetri, India’s Football captain) ! He is affable and does not mince words. So book early and get a confirmation directly from the hotel, not only from your Travel Agent. Lamahatta Residency is a spacious hotel with approx 7-8 rooms that are 220 Sq ft plus. Recently done up so beds, bathrooms and decor is much above average from others in area. You will like the scenic views from hotel balconies, the walkable Lamahatta Nature Park (don’t forget doing the 750m pleasant hike to the top). The large Hall near reception doubles up as a TV hall, Games room, Card table, Gossip Den as well as lunch n dinner table. Best place to laze when u have a large group! We were 18 and loved sitting there. If you want to gaze at length at the early sunrises, work on your laptop by the lounge window that overlooks the valley, talk to the clouds that rest on your balcony in evenings, this is the place to be. Only downside is the food. Food is average but served up with great enthusiasm and hence tolerable. Make sure to carry a large supply of mineral water and your medicines as these two things are not available nearby. The other downer is that it doesn’t have any play facility for kids.

The stay was quite pleasant with a very helpfull and smiling staffs all around you. The location of the hotel is very close to the mall road and local markets which I'm sure will be beneficial for all the guests staying in this hotel. Let me jot down the Pros and Cons of this hotel. Pros:- Firstly, the location of the hotel is quite beneficial for every guest staying in this hotel. Secondly, the quality and behaviour of the staff is supreme. Thirdly, the view. If you have North facing room then you can see Kanchenjunga from the hotel itself. Fourthly, the quality of rooms are too good with portraits of Lord Buddha everywhere which will bring peace in every rooms. Cons:- Firstly, the variety of Breakfast is not great if you compare with Sumi Yashshree Suites and Spa located on HD LAMA ROAD. Secondly, the variety and taste of food available in the restaurant is lower than that of Sumi Yashshree Suites and Spa. The major difference between Sumitel and Sumi Yashshree Suites and Spa is that from Sumitel rooms you can get to see Kanchenjunga which you can't from Sumi Yashshree and that the breakfast is far better in Sumi Yashshree Suites and Spa. Ofcourse the quality of rooms are better in Sumitel. So if you want view, location and ofcourse the quality of rooms, then choose Sumitel. Otherwise Sumi Yashshree Suites and Spa can be a better choice as well.

This is not 5 star, 3 at a push ! and it is a home stay, don't think it is a hotel. We were collected at the airport and took an 'interesting' journey to the House, as mentioned previously the road to the house is shocking and if you have a bad back etc I strongly advise that you give this a miss, I can understand why one review said that they decided to stay at the house and not travel to much!, yes the Government are doing some work to the road but it is not on the final 2-3 miles that is the worst. We visited in March and the house was freezing, they have no central heating, there is a heater in the bedroom and we had an electric fire in the bathroom ! In the evening they light a fire for you at dinner, but the fire is not started until you sit down for dinner. We slept with the electric blanket on all night. There is no entertainment as promised and one night after dinner we sat chatting and all the lights were turned off and the staff went to bed. The food is poor. There is no information at the hotel about trips etc and we had to keep asking if we could do this or that. A simple sheet with what is in the area would be really helpful. The one plus point of the house was the staff, the English is not great but either is our Indian but they are very helpful and try their hardest, however the ***agement have a lot of work to do especially with the heating, having dinner in a coat and gloves is just not acceptable. Would we return ? Not if it was free !

This is a property that is set apart from the rest (quite literally!) as it is not in the main town of Darjeeling but in the highest town in the region (approx. 7400 feet) in Ghum around 8 km from the Darjeeling mall. Though this brings with it some minor hurdles of heading to the main mall area every time you want to go to town, it also gives you that feel of exclusivity and seclusion, a trait sadly that is all but disappearing from most hill station stays with each passing day. It is lovely to visit the old, original Ghum Monastery and the Heritage train station especially in the mornings. We loved walking down to the station every day and spending some quiet, meditative time at the monastery. Shows you a different side of Darjeeling... The resort is one of their better offerings, with well appointed rooms and all the amenities you will require from a 4 star property. Prem Subba at reception is always there to receive you with a smile at the Front Desk and check in was a breeze. Our room was neat, clean and beautifully located to be able to access the Kanchenjunga viewing point easily and quickly, especially in the morning. All our needs were met including room heaters, and a microwave for heating things up. Both Jiwan Pradhan and Pradip went above and beyond and did an excellent job in making sure that our stay was a nice one. Thank you all for your sincere efforts! Pro tip: 1. Walk down to the main road if you are 1-2 persons and then take a local 'share' taxi to Darjeeling for Rs 20 per person only. 2. Try to upgrade and book a 1 bedroom apartment/cottage here as they are a class apart. You won't find better rooms till you visit the better hotels in Darj.

Darjeeling originally gave people the feeling of vacation. The location of this hotel is on the middle of the mountain, which is a little bit biased. It is particularly quiet at night and finally can sleep well. Breakfast has omelette, fried noodles, pouches, bread, etc., which is more in line with Chinese stomach. The shortcoming is that the water heater is a bit funny, and there is no hot water when it is often used.

Hii...visited Darjeeling in sep.18. Had read about Broadway Annex on net. We had a pleasant n homely stay here. The rooms were exactly as seen on web.Wooden flooring with an attached balcony. The view from the balcony is mesmerizing. You can see d mighty Kanchenjunga directly by sitting on ur bed!! The hotel is about 10mins strenous upward walk from the mall road. But the walk is worth it( my 8yr old too loved it without complain!!) since u are there for a holiday in hilly terrain dont expect too much of easiness.
