We had the most amazing time at 25hours The Royal Bavarian. Our arrival was very welcoming and the room was such a dreamy place. The hotel has so many details and such a special atmosphere. The design is on point and you have the feeling to visit a very unique place. Every staff member was very kind and gave us the best time. Breakfast and dinner at Neni was delicious as always (neni fangirl). Our highlight was The Boilerman Bar. I mean you can't say no to highbals, can you? It's the perfect way to try different kind of drinks and the atmosphere was divine. The staff advised us really well and were perfectly friendly and courteous. We'll come back in a month and I am counting the days. :)

OK, so I've read a few less than complimentary reviews of Helvetia but this has been my experience. The hotel staff were lovely. They were friendly, attentive and polite throughout. We had a room on the fifth floor so the eaves of the roof did curtail head height a little but you've got a choice: see that as a negative or consider it charming. I'll take the latter. The rooms are compact. That's a fair comment but ours was beautifully clean, quiet and entirely suitable for a city break. There is some comment about the locale but if you book a hotel within 200m of a main German train station then you've got to accept there will be most walks of life on display. There are destitute people on the streets and there is a strip club across the road. If that bothers you then don't book. Or maybe you could buy the homeless person a coffee and say hello to them. Its your choice. Breakfast was excellent. Some people have said there wasn't anything to eat but there was: yoghurt, grains, a wide variety of breads, cold meats, cooked meats, eggs, cheeses, fruit juices, water. Even prosecco! So. Was it OK? Yes. It was great. Get booking.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping excellent. They even had the latest magazines placed in the room. The breakfast range was excellent and good. Love the big tea selection and the cute decorated eggs. Nice touch. It’s very near the main Munich train station and also a short walk to the shopping and dining area of Karlplatz and the Marienplatz. Excellent location. Can tell the hotel places effort to make it a comfortable stay. Read some of the previous reviews- Yes being near a train station , some may feel it’s a slight rough place but it was absolutely fine and really just many tourists, shops, boutiques and hotels around there too. Busy outside but the hotel is nice and quiet inside. Quite a few business travellers. There is also a nice Asian take out nearby if you want a quick dinner. Overall a nice stay in Munich!

I came to Munich as the first stop on a birthday trip to Germany and Austria, and chose the Excelsior because of the high rating on TripAdvisor, the location near the train station and the very reasonable price for a 4 star hotel. Upon arriving at the Munich airport, I took the Lufthansa bus to the Hauptbahnhof, which was ideal. The bus only cost 9 Euro each way, and I paid the bus driver directly. The bus had a hold for luggage, and the seats were comfortable. Road work is being performed near the Hauptbahnhof, and so the location of the bus stop had changed from where it was shown on the bus's website, which in my jet-lagged state, made finding the hotel problematic. Upon arrival at the street bordering the secondary entrance to the Hauptbahnhof, I did not notice the ramp leading into the station. I decided to go the long way around, which turned out to be a major mistake. However, there is a ramp that leads into the station, and once through it, one reaches the Bayerstrasse. To reach the hotel, all you have to do is turn left onto the Bayerstrasse and at the first street crossing, turn left again.. The Schuetzenstrasse opens up off that street, and it is a very short walk to the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful Bavarian feel to it, with warm wood tones and lovely little accents that lead to a feeling of gemuetlichheit. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff, and soon checked in. I had asked for a quiet room, and was given one on the 5th floor. There are two spacious elevators servicing all floors, which makes room access very easy. My room faced the courtyard, which is not a thing of beauty, but I got what I really wanted, which was quiet. The windows were curtained with a pretty check print, which gave it a homey feel. Although there was no art on the walls, I did have some elegant brass light sconces. The minibar had drink items, and everything cost 1 Euro, which is very reasonable. There was also enough room in the minibar for me to store my own purchases. Minutes after I entered my room, there was a tap on the door and a staff member delivered an electric kettle, so that I could make tea for myself. The bed was super comfortable, and dressed with snow white duvets and plump white pillows. There were two upholstered chairs, a small table and desk, which came in handy, and also plenty of closet space. The only downside was that the bathroom was tiny. However, since I had booked the standard double room, and was only staying three nights, it did not diminish my enjoyment of my very comfortable room. The next morning, I decided to treat myself and have breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Although it is fairly expensive, the offerings are copious, and everything is done to perfection, including the butter balls resting on ice, crisp white linens, tea made with real leaf tea and served by the very friendly staff. The restaurant offers both a beautifully presented buffet and also eggs and other dishes made to order. I was able to go

Very nice hostel with guests from all over the world. The lounge area and bar in the lobby are particularly lively. Many people are drinking or chatting late at night. The sanitary conditions are good. The only drawback is that the steel frame is very loud. If someone gets in or out of bed or even rolls over, they will wake up the whole room.

The room is not big, but the hotel is in a good location, the hotel service is not bad, the room cleaning is lazy, there is no change of bed linen and pillow towel for about 5 days from the time of check-in. But I don't know what the reason is. There are 2 bottles of soda in the hotel, but there is no daily delivery. I don't know what it is, why not send it every day. However, we returned to Munich on the 4.28th to stay at this hotel. On the 5.2th afternoon, room items and cash were stolen. Our 3 rooms appeared 1: The password box password in my room 510 was passive, but there was no loss, it may be playing. The reason for not opening, because I have seen the password when I left the hotel, this time is the three people in our afternoon to go out, 2: Another room 512 found that the password in the middle of the password box was cut, not actually opened But another box found a box of chocolates and a chocolate that was bought by chocolate. 3: The other room is 218 rooms. It is occupied by one person. There are more than 15 euros in the bag. We returned the tax in the Czech Republic. Always in the envelope bag, we found that we lost one euro for 10 euros, but we want to react with the hotel, but because of the language barriers and the small loss, we chose to give up the complaint. Unfortunately, if it weren't for this event, we would choose this hotel next time, but now we are not going to visit this hotel.

I have stayed several times at this hotel. Over the years I noticed a slow decline in the running of the hotel. Booking: I tried to book early but had to phone and email about 6 times to get a reply. When the owner once answered she argued that I was phoning early and there was amble time. I needed to book both hotel and flight so had to book both together. She complained about not being able to recruit staff and that it was expensive to get the right staff. When we arrived, we found the heater in the bathroom was not functioning, the shower railing had a part which kept on falling off every morning and one of the bulbs in the bathroom was burnt. The safe door was closed and could not be opened. I brought these problems to the attention of the desk and kept on getting an answer that I needed to insert my door card in the card slot. When you enter the room, you need to place your card in a reader to switch your room lights on but no other card slot existed. Though I informed staff of this nothing was done, so we went over a week without any hearing in the bathroom. The safe, we were told could not be opened. I need the safe because I like to place my passports etc. in it. A few years ago, at the same hotel, a few things went missing and this problem was addressed by a box of chocolates from the owner !!. A safe did exist but it does not work ! The room lightbulb also burnt out during our stay but this was immediately addressed. Getting a table in the morning for breakfast is next to impossible especially over the weekend. The only positive point I find is Ms. Desiree who is the breakfast room manager and who manages this with perfection. She is not to blame for the lack of space. She is an exceptional manager, has a positive attitude and a very good working relationship with her other kitchen staff. We have known one of the night receptionists who is also a wonderful man, he has been there for some years now. We cannot fault other staff but notice that, for some reason, there is a high turnover of staff members. In the past I have written positively about this hotel but unfortunately my opinion has changed. The only positive points which remain are central location of the hotel, the breakfast, and Ms. Desiree who is wonderful to all guests. Negative points are most definitely the owner who is rude and arrogant and the small rooms and the sardine-can bathrooms. On many nights we heard loud noise ? from the adjacent casino or cinema.

Good choice for a trip to Munich! - location is very convenient. Next to Karlsplatz station and 5min from the Hauptbahnof, easy to travel to and from the airport as there is a direct line and to travel to other cities from the Hauptbahnof. Also, it is located 5/7min walk to the main square. -room is clean and bed is confortable. Our room was on the 7th floor so noise of the traffic is subdued and not too annoying. Loved the big shower, really nice to relax after a long day walking in the city! Staff is really nice and belpful. Good choice of towels and toiletries and refreshments, we liked the fact that each day we received free bottled water (the rest of the minibar is for sale). If you are travelling with someone that you are not very close with, do not stay in room 703: there is a very big window between the shower room and the bedroom, and we were unable to close the curtains so the person in the shower can be seen from the bedroom. Itvs a bit weird! We had no problem with that but I can understand this might be a problem for other people so please be aware and check with the staff! :)

I stayed just one night with my wife and my son. We enjoyed our stay, rooms were clean and very quite, we appreciated the very comfortable beds. The location is very conveniente to visit the Munich city center, just 5 minutes away. Parking is available in a nearby public park garage (16 Euro/day). Breakfast was good - we will definitely come back the next time we will visit Munich!

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions in the past. We choose to stay here because of the excellent location. We have never experienced items being stolen from my room in the past. On this trip we spent the day touring Munich and when we returned we found our hotel safe would not function. We called the front desk and they sent someone up in the morning to open it for us. When they opened it we noticed that $200 was missing. When we complained to the staff they said we would have to wait until Monday because no one was there on the weekend to take our complaint. When we finally found someone to complain to, the person told us to file a police report. This was of no help at all. Certainly they could’ve investigated and found out who was in our room during that six hour time period. With electronic locks and cameras it would be easy to investigate. Beware of this hotel. The staff were extremely unhelpful. There are multiple other options available at the same price point. Recommend a different hotel. Do not use the hotel safe! We enjoyed our stay here immensely. It's brilliantly located near the hauptbahnhof, so very central and a good place from which go explore the city and surrounds. As some people seem to be confused about this, a central location means you'll be exposed to both noise and the residents/businesses of the city. That's the trade off, and one I was happy to make. It really wasn't that loud, and while there were absolutely a few strip clubs nearby, that's city life for you. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. Best of all, the staff were great - so lovely and friendly, chatting about our travels, what to see in Munich, which christmas markets to see etc. All in all, we found it to be great value for money, and I'd stay here again.

Based on recent reviews we were apprehensive about visiting. There was absolutely nothing to worry about. We had a great time, hotel is a couple of minutes walk from central station that allows visitors to reach anywhere in this great city with the excellent public transport system. Greeted nicely on arrival and given our room on 6th floor which I requested as a quiet room so this was honoured. Had a few drinks from bottle bar available and breakfast next morning too was plentiful if a tad expensive imo. Room was quirky but loved it!Yes I can understand people’s concerns re shower but after thirty years together in my situation this wasn’t an issue:) Bed was comfortable and shower itself is powerful. By the way there are sockets at bed, underneath locker areas. An added convenience would be a kettle,ya irish and most likely English/Scottish and Welsh love our cup of tea. Staff we met were friendly and room was cleaned each day. I can understand people’s concerns about the area but it’s literally a block and no one bothers you. I would have no hesitation returning here or recommending to family or friends and I don’t do that lightly.

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the subway station, and the main attractions can also be reached on foot. Check in check out is very fast. The apartment has a cooking place and the room is spacious. The breakfast is quite rich, and many local specialties can be eaten at breakfast. The breakfast is long enough for you to taste slowly. There is no air conditioning, there is no problem in the autumn season, and I don’t know it in the summer. The fan is quite powerful.

This is a very cost-effective European hotel, the same price, better than the Marriott next door. First of all, the location is very convenient. It is 300 meters on foot from the subway station. The Lufthansa Express Bus at the airport is also at the entrance of the subway station. It can be 10 Euros from here to the airport, 15 minutes. The room was very good, I stayed in a superior room, but the facilities were great and new. There is a capsule coffee machine, there is a glass bottle of water (with a gas without a gas), there are bathrobe slippers, the towel is very thick. The room is very soundproof and the curtains are perfect. Room attendants are well trained and not as cold as most hotels. Book breakfast at the front desk for 26 Euros at check-in, which is a few dollars cheaper than direct signing. There are many kinds of fruits, a lot of fruits, and a handsome little brother will make you an egg roll.

Tulip inn is one of the many trade show hotels around the Munich messe. Located about 4km from the fair ground in a typical (there’s nothing going on but offices) industrial area. Directly located at the 94 highway thus easy accessible. Reception is understaffed and checking/ checkout might take a while. Rooms are pretty basic but clean (no neighbors noise!) breakfast is not to extensive but provides hot food and the typical bread and Cereals. To sum it up, not a place where you want to spend time with a family but a descend business facinity

Just stayed here for a few nights with the family. We opted for two rooms but where double beds were expected the rooms had two single beds put together. The bathroom was very clean and the showers worked a treat. There were very large TVs in each room and the beds were comfortable. Each room had plenty of storage space and each had air conditioning. We opted not to have breakfast, because the hotel was situated about 100 yards from the train station, so we went there instead. Breakfast here was about 20 Euros a head so we walked to the station for fresh food. As you leave the hotel and walked through the passage to the road, you turned right and the train station was right in front, just across the road. Staff were very friendly, there was free wifi and lifts to the rooms. Overall it was a nice place to stay and it was extremely well sited for trains and trams in and out of the city. Would stay here again, if only because it was so well situated being effectively just across the road from the train station.

We came 2 hours earlier than the check in time but were told that our room were ready. Tobias welcomes us at the check in and he was really friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite new and about 8 minutes walk to the Station. It was quite fast to go to central Munich. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Breakfast was a bit pricy at €19 per person per day, so we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.

The location is excellent, but because of the recent construction near the Munich train station, the outside environment has a little impact, but the room is absolutely quiet and comfortable. We brought two children this time. There was no extra money for breakfast. The suites were arranged on the top floor and the scenery was beautiful. The rooms are fully equipped, all electronically controlled, very scientific and technological! PS: The hotel has a rich breakfast, especially the variety of fruits and high quality. There is also a bar that can make waffles by yourself. The children will make their own meals every day, especially happy.
