We stayed here before when it had just opened and we were upgraded to a large superior room with balcony. This time we were not so lucky but this is a very nice hotel set in a newly built area alongside the university library, private flats, shops, offices, cafes/restaurants and a large playing field underneath which is a large car-park. The room contained two large single beds together, safe, fridge, full length mirror, desk, easy chair, comfortable desk chair, kettle with tea and coffee, hairdryer with nozzle. The ensuite had a walk-in shower with two shower heads, and shampoo, shower gel and tissues were provided. The mattresses were rather firm and a couple of towels were frayed. The policy of leaving the fridge 'off' when out and 'on' when in is mis-guided as the contents of the fridge never have time to chill. The breakfast is very good, a wide range of everything you would expect. The town is about fifteen minutes walk away. It is a small town but has lots going on which you can observe from the cafes etc around the edge of the attractive central piazza which has a fountain, and the cathedral. There are other sights to see which can easily be accomplished. We would have no hesitation in choosing this hotel again.

Don't be fooled by this hotel's star rating. The Venezia is a solid hotel in the center of Trento's pedestrian zone on a piazza just opposite of the cathedral. Many restaurants, cafes, and shops are just steps away. Rooms are very clean and spacious with high ceilings. Furnishings are quite spartan - a speck of color here or there certainly wouldn't hurt. But much would already be gained if the compact fluorescent tubes with their terrible light were replaced by halogen or newer led bulbs. Bathrooms are clean and appear to have been refurbished recently. Breakfast is simple but good. And the staff throughout the hotel is very friendly. Trento does not have a huge selection of hotels. If you want to stay in the center of the old town, then this one is a good pick.

I came away from my stay at the Aquila d'Oro feeling slightly cheated. The welcome was less than warm - I'd arrived at 12.30 to be told, abruptly, that the room wasn't ready and to come back at 3 pm. No offer of an alternative room (the hotel wasn't busy) or apology. I came back later to find a different receptionist who asked me to finalise payment for the stay as they "wanted to avoid too many people congregating at the entrance in the morning". Yeah right. There is some attempt at wit in the room decoration, which doesn't go amiss, but basically this is a small pensione done up to resemble a boutique hotel. I had a room on the 2nd floor and could clearly hear voices in reception on the ground floor. Don't expect a good night's sleep. I was kept awake until late by what seemed to be the very loud soundtrack of an open-air cinema. The entrance is not easy to find, behind a rather tawdry café. Also, having paid 98 euro for said room, I would have expected, at the very least, toiletries. I really don't need an infrared sauna when I stay in a hotel. On the plus side, the breakfast had a good choice and the location is excellent. Just off the main square and walking distance from the train station. The cleaners were cheerful and friendly and did a very good job of cleaning rooms. I wouldn't go back, not least because I expected more for my money and a decent night's sleep.

I stayed at the Accademia Hotel in Trento for two nights, in the context of a business trip. The hotel is ideally located: within the city center, close to the train station and everything is either at a walking distance, or easily accessible thanks to the city bus network (that guests can use for free with the Trento guest card available from the hotel). The staff was very helpful and welcomed me nicely, providing all explanations that are necessary for a smooth stay. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, including a lot of storage space and a working corner. However, the hotel wifi connection has never really worked, and it was even hard to get a 4G signal from the room. This made my working time during the evenings a bit cumbersome. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with a lot of Italian stuffed croissants, bread, ham, cheese, coffee, tea, etc. Really outstanding on all aspects! To summarise, my stay was really good and I will probably go back to this place at my next visit to Trento (despite the issue with the wifi).

Hotel is located in a great location. There is a beautiful river called : Adige River 5 minutes away, and also different amenities like Lidl (supermarket) , Poli (supermarket) and a pharmacy. We had a Half Board booked, in dinner we always had typical mouth watering Italian food and in breakfast there were various different choices. The only downside about the dinner hall was that it was hot, it seems the AC's they had were not enough. We had a 3 person room and it was spacious and also updated with wall USB charging points however there were rooms which were cramped and needed some refurbishment. But in all the staff were helpful and well mannered. Highly recommend for a Dolomite Holiday.

Beautiful views of Trento! We stopped here on our way from Innsbruck to Venice. The room was large and clean and perfect for our brief stop. Although I wish we would have stayed another full day in Trento! While the owner does not speak English but we were able to communicate clearly. He was very helpful with showing us the bus route and even ended up driving us to the town center. As a previous reviewer stated the parking lot is small and steep so we chose to leave our car in favor of taking the bus the short trip (5 minutes) to city center. The bus fare was about 2€ per person. The stop by the hotel is immediately at the bottom of the driveway. The room featured a in wall air con which was much needed in this sweltering heat. Wish we could have stayed for breakfast but we had to be back on the road very early- although we were able to catch the amazing sunrise!

This is not far off the route and set us up nicely for our next day, heading towards Feltre and beyond along the via Claudia Augusta. I suggested that they might put a fact sheet about local restaurants in the rooms. There is a pizza place up the hill (closed Sundays) and a traditional restaurant down the hill (closed Mondays). The staff were friendly and helpful - the place was not manned when we arrived but a quick phone call got us into our rooms. We left our bikes outside chained to some railings

We stayed one night on our way to Umbria. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and our room was very nice, with a balcony overlooking the town and the hills. We had a twin room and the bathroom had a shower, there was also a fridge in the room. It was all in good condition and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the old town, and is convenient for the motorway. There is free parking, which was a bit confusing, as it is under the hotel, but we parked in the car park above ground in front of the hotel. It was not clear to us which parking we should use, but it wasn't a problem. It may be helpful to include information regarding this on the confirmation. Staff were pleasant and helpful especially the gentleman who checked us in. The breakfast was OK with adequate choice, and things were regularly replenished by the very efficient breakfast staff. All in all a pleasant stay that was better than expected.

Really easy to get to from the train station on foot, and a short walk into town from the hotel. We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage in storage while we went off to explore the town and Christmas markets. The man at reception was extremely friendly and helpful, he gave us a map and marked off places we asked about, and others he thought we might like - also the location of the markets which was very useful! The hotel room is comfortable and has all the amenities, and a big bathroom with great shower and plenty of toiletries. The breakfast is plentiful although there were not that many choices but we didn't go hungry! We only stayed one night but we would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip that involves Trento. One night was not really enough to be able to get to all the sights!

Just not sure what would be the right description. Location is perfect in my opinion, used to race here in hillclimb race I love the are for its views and location coming to the services I cannot go for high marks. The first experience was obviously at the desk, guy wall polite and helpful, the room was above my expectations (family room), although the view was to the hillside so you could see literally nothing. Bathroom was clean and spacious, just the walls are not concrete and you can here almost everything from the room next to you. Breakfast wall all right for Italy, besides the two older waiters who were sneaking around the tables all the time like they were looking for someone to prevent him from stealing a croissant. I am a coffee lover, not pleased at all, far from an Italian espresso in the morning. Prices very reasonably, a room for three was about 75EUR with breakfast which I can easily skip.
