We took a family trip to this hotel booked through hotels.com. Price was good but overpriced for what it was. We got there before check in time and they were kind enough to clean our rooms early. However, the wifi was very unstable, which resulted in high costs as I had to use 3g for a couple days. The rooms were nice but not very clean, bathroom was tiny and it had wood in it which resulted in fungus on the floors. In the 3 days and 2 nights the rooms were not cleaned once. On top of the bad wifi we asked for toilet paper, which we did not get and had to buy toilet paper outside the hotel. We used the same towels for a couple of days too. They did their best to resolve the wifi issue but it being a family hotel, you felt guilty for even complaining about the situation. They kept saying the wifi worked on their phones. The reason I booked was because of the free wifi and free breakfast that was promised on hotels.com however we found out that the breakfast picture was a completely different picture which was clear when you see the view on the terras. The breakfast did not look like the picture at all and I felt like it was very misleading. Dont book this and expect the breakfast to be like advertised online. Its a picture from google. Wouldnt recommend staying here as I believe you can get a better quality stay elsewhere if you pay just a little more.

To be honest Katya Ninova wasn’t my first choice hotel in Mardin- I was looking for somewhere more charming and boutiquey- but it turned out to be great and I didn’t regret staying here for a moment. Reception staff are particularly helpful and my room was comfortable as well as good value. Location is the best in the Mardin, on the main drag of the old town. Breakfast service could perhaps be enhanced a little. There is also a spectacular but under-used roof terrace which, under different rules, would make an awesome bar. Overall I found Mardin pretty but a bit tense and unfriendly. In retrospect I would have hired a guide for a half day or full day tour.

Think I was their first guest in 6 or 7 months due to Covid and I was treated like a Sultan! Amazing welcome, helping me with my car in the terribly narrow and maze-like Mardin streets, performing some financial transactions in Turkish for me, giving me an upgraded room. Wonderful food! The best view possibly in the world (and I've been to 80 countries)! Wonderful people! Overall, one of my greatest hotel finds in all the world. I shall definitely be back...

Great little hotel right on the main street and close to many of the sights. Staff were able to organise a driver for day use when we visited a few sights that were out of town. Comfortable rooms with a shower that was lovely and hot considering that the nights in Mardin were quite cold. Mediocre breakfasts , but local breakfasts are cheap and plentiful. Our intial impression was that the staff and hotel were quite weird, the first nights accommodation had already been charged to the credit card and they asked us for payment upfront for the rest of the stay! I travel frequently and i have never had this experience before. We refused to pay immediately and after a while this was accepted. Be careful with your bookings as none of the rooms have the balcony that is advertised on the site, the hotel has a huge terrace that can be accessed by their clients. we did spend many hours on this terrace .

We stayed in Dara Konaği for 3 nights. All of us are enjoyed. The room looks beautiful and interesting, the decoration is a little same as the cave hotel I live in Cappadocia. The shower is good, hot water with big pressure. 24 hours hot water. The staff is nice and friendly, yes, they not too much speak English, but they try their best to help. In few days after, we plan to come back Mardin for fly. We will stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone, it is total cool place.

I initially booked for 3 nights but change in plan meant I was only able to stay for one night at the end of Sep 2018. wished I could stay longer. It is a very charming inn in the heart of old Mardin town. Despite what media and western government sites comment, Mardin was very peaceful and safe, and buzzing with live music on streets until late in the evening. Also well known for its wine region there are a few wine bars to indulge local wines just free minutes away from the hotel. I asked for a stone room which has ottoman style bath with shower and is unique. While the room itself didn't have a view, view from terrace was breath-takingly beautiful. Well worth getting up early for the sun rise. Reception spoke little English but there were others at the hotel that spoke English. Also with Google translate communication was no issue. Staff were very friendly and made me feel right at home which was importantas I was female travelling solo. If you are after charming, small boutique hotel experience in the heart of old town then look no further. I'd stay there again

This was a two day trip to Anatolia and this hotel was immaculate. It’s in the new city (only drawback) but the temp was over 100 every day and you need the reliability of Hilton and its amenities. The pool was nice and the rooms spotless Tip - hire a cab and visit Dara. 180TL for 3 hours will get you to the monastery and madrassah and Dara. This hotel was a great value at 175 TL ($32 US) a night.
