|1.35km from city centerStayed here as was only option available did to short notice business trip. Location is good, great setting with a nice beer garden and on the canal . Check in was smooth and seamless. I was given a room in the ground floor, not much privacy when you go into the room as there is only curtains so everyone could see in from the beer garden. Blinds /nets wouldn't go a miss in the ground floor rooms. The room itself was ok. Tv could have been bigger. Bed was below average could feel the springs. And pillows on the thin side, lucky I was alone so could use them all. Food was a good offering but over priced as most items were 241. Which if you have someone to eat with then is not bad for the money. Bit definitely not £18 for a burger. I did sleep ok. The breakfast offering was good, but the scramble egg didn't look good at all. I did pass on that item. Overall I wouldn't not stay again, but would be at least 3rd choice currently

|0.36km from city centerGoing on a business trip, really not looking forward to it at all..booked the closest hotel to the venue not realising it’s actually connected..expected to be in a travel lodge-esque box…this hotel was so nice, I’d happily go back! Everything about it, polite helpful check-in staff, excellent room with everything I needed. Lovely staff in the restaurant, even allowed me to grab a pastry for breakfast even though I’d not paid for breakfast ( surgery precludes me chomping down on piled high buffet plates)….uber comfortable bed, fab shower, tea coffee facilities, iron and board, usb sockets in the room…in spite of what others may have experienced, the entire hotel was immaculately clean and tidy..with a somewhat unusual but really nice orange smell in the reception…would not hesitate to stay here again!!

|4.64km from city centerThe accommodation was very comfortable and there was hot water. I will consider staying there in the future. It's just that the location is remote and there's not much to eat, which is a bit troublesome if you're a foodie. There is a bus stop nearby.

|1.64km from city centerGigi at the front desk is a real credit to the hotel. She was friendly and did her very best to resolve my issues. Whilst it was extremely busy and she would have been forgiven for being flustered, she listened patiently, checked me in and suggested recommendations to order at the restaurant. Great service Fantastic A++

|1.2km from city centerWe stayed here as a family during the Commonwealth games and were more than happy with the hotel. We stayed in a family room with a sofa bed made up for the children - perfect size for two toddlers but might be a squeeze for two older children. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the City centre. Lovely walk along the canal to Brindley Place and Sealife Centre. The hotel has its own underground car park which is a real bonus priced at £13 per night. Follow the one way system round to the rear of the hotel and you'll see the entrance. The hotel was full to capacity but still plenty of spaces. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, but we used the free drinks vending machine in reception instead. Good selection of drinks and available 24 hours. We added breakfast on the last morning and it was £9 per adult, children free. Good selection of cooked breakfast, cereals, continental. Overall a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we came to Birmingham again.

|1.21km from city centerPremier Suites Birmingham offered a comfortable and affordable night's accomodation. Right near the Bullring in the Chinatown district, we were able to rent two single-bedroom suites for ourselves and our teenage children for less than a single room in London. Each room was appropriately appointed with separate bed and living/dining areas, hot showers and full security. There was no after hours service and the very limited parking spaces need to be booked in advance, but there is parking available at a nearby facility for a discounted rate. Overall it was a pleasant night's stay for a very good rate.

|2.95km from city centerGorgeous property, the styling is beautiful, room was very comfortable. Plenty of parking at the rear of the property for residents. A lovely peaceful setting within a large city like Birmingham. Highly recommend this property. Different from the usual hotel having no reception, but this did not impact our stay. The staff we did meet, were very helpful and friendly. There are various eating places nearby. We had breakfast in Edgebaston village, a few minutes walk away. Just lovely.

|1.48km from city centerP.I. is our 'go to' choice because the standard is the same (good) wherever we are. Kathy, your night team member, was always ready with a smile. This visit, our key card failed late one night, Kathy was straight on it and came up with us to make sure the re-coded one would work. Kathy is always very happy to help. We were impressed as, during the expected floods, Kathy came into work way ahead of her shift to make sure that she got there. A team player to be sure. Thank you for looking after us!

|0.44km from city centerFriday 17 Nov at the Townhouse was a very pleasant surprise! A new band was playing and they called themselves Trios - I wasn't expecting such a great sound from just 3 musicians; they didn't need any other instruments and the audience loved it and so did my friends and I. Very engaging band. The atmosphere was gorgeous, and friendly staff at bar and at the door.. We are certainly coming here again as it was announced that they are at the Townhouse on Friday 24 November and on stage 11pm! What a treat.. :)

Birmingham
|0.73km from city centerWe stayed in a one bedroom suite for 2 nights, on the fifth floor, with a 2 year old toddler. Overall our stay was ok, the apartment had what we needed, was well located and noise was minimal at night. Cleanliness was ok but could be improved eg stains on armchairs in living room, dust on shower curtain rail. Good range of items at breakfast. However a couple of issues we flagged to reception: At the breakfast buffet on our last morning, I filled up my toddler’s milk cup with milk from the fridge, before passing it to another guest, and then filling up his cereal with the same bottle. Luckily, before he’d drunk much of the milk, the other guest came over to tell me she thought the milk was off and had seen me fill up a sippy cup with it. My husband tasted it and confirmed it was sour and fizzy. I went to check the fridge and there were several bottles of milk that had gone past their clearly stated sell by dates, including one that didn’t have a cap on. I immediately told breakfast staff who had been moving bottles around with ample opportunity to check dates, and didn’t receive an apology. Later we told reception, they apologised but no remedial action offered. Had the other guest not informed me, my son and other guests could have been very sick. Staff need to be trained to check sell by dates on items at offer at breakfast, before putting them out for guests to use. We had another issue with the travel cot supplied, it didn’t have a proper mattress, just a folded up board. Reception did offer to bring up towels/sheets to fold and act as a mattress but I thought this was poor. We ended up buying a travel cot mattress for our stay. These combined issues affected our stay so can’t give more than 2 stars.

Close to Grand Central and Bull Ring. The hotel is quite old but clean. My room is on the second floor and face New Street which is quite noisy but can enjoy many street performances. Delicious and comfortable Buffet breakfast. Most of the Front Desk staffs are not friendly enough.

|1km from city centerGreat hotel and family friendly, although upon research of the carpark the hotel recommend to their guest we discovered on trip adviser that it seems alot of peoples cars get broken into as there is lack of cctv at livery street carpark. Obviously not the hotels fault but maybe they should check that out before recommending. We choose to park in the town center and selfridges carpark for £20 for just over 24hrs and felt alot more satisfied that our car would be OK there over night.

|1.28km from city centerFirst time staying in this hotel so was unsure what to think however the room is so comfortable and clean. Neli, the member of staff at the front desk, was so helpful and checked us in quickly and answered all the questions we had. It was nice to be greeted with a smile when checking in. The rooms are on the small side but the layout worked very well and makes the most of the space. The bathroom is clean and provides shampoo, body wash etc for people who are travelling light. Luckily the rooms have air conditioning which is perfect for these hot summer nights. Definitely recommend, amazing deal for the price!

|1.17km from city centerI will not hold it against the hotel if other guests are making noises outside my door. The location is great, rooms are clean, well stocked with tea/coffee, staff is friendly and professional so what else can I ask for. It is not a spanking new hotel so do expect some inevitable wear and tear. As the weather turned hot the room was starting to get stuffy and I had to open the windows which looked out to a quiet alley. If I need to, I would stay here again as it is a pleasant place.

|2.72km from city centerHotel location is good, but no Novotel is close to the airport. Novotel is walking at the door of the airport glass door for a minute. This hotel is to take the airport light rail for three minutes, then get off the train for ten minutes to walk through the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is about five minutes walk. Remember that the hotel entrance is at the pizza shop. After entering the door, the elevator is on the second floor. It is the lobby, don't go wrong or circle. The breakfast is very suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the variety is very rich. I live here because I want to participate in the cake show every November. The picture is that it is convenient to go to the exhibition hall without going too far, otherwise the mobile phone is tired. Actually, it is also very tired, stop and go all the way. The hotel is actually a Shanghai-like Heshenghui, a big shopping mall. The hotel reception is in the corner of the second floor of the shopping mall. The guest room is inside the corner building built outside the main building. I feel that the floor of the guest room is built instead of cement, but the quality is very good. . There are not many stores in the mall, the British consumption is not high in the country, and there is a little bit of Colombia in the north. It feels high consumption. There are very few other shops. There is a coffee shop costa in the mall. You can buy a sandwich clerk to help you heat up. The huge sandwich is delicious. There is a specialty store in the Swiss Lotus chocolate, and it is more cost-effective to sell chocolate. Finally, the check-out of this hotel is not to check the room, the room card can go directly to the front desk.

|1.37km from city centerIt wasn't our first visit to a hotel from a Malmaison chain and safe to say the experience didn't disappoint. The hotel is positioned very centrally and everything you need is at most 10 minutes walk away. Unlike other Malmaison hotels we have visited this one also offers spa and gym facilities which are open for the hotel guests and although we haven't had a chance to make use of them they did look nice and we will make sure to book a much longer stay to enjoy these facilities in the future.
Breakfast as always didn't disappoint and is highly recommended. Same goes to the bar area which is very nicely design allowing the guests to enjoy a nice drink in the evening.
