I traveled with my mom from the US. We had to stay 3 days in Rotorua to visit the lakes and the hot springs. We booked the cheapest motel that we found on the internet. Our expectation was not high at all. However, we were surprised that the motel is really decent and clean. It is also in a very good location. Walking distance from couple of attractions that we visited. The manager was really friendly. We booked a regular room, but when the manager saw me with my mom, he upgraded use to a 2 bedroom suite for free. He gave us coupons for the city attractions as well. The motel has a hot pool that is nice. I would definitely recommend that place if you are looking for good value and location.

Although it is a Motor-style hotel, it is very new, the room is quite big, and it is not far from the main road. It is quiet in the middle of nowhere. There are supermarkets and commercial centers not far away, and there is a petrol station diagonally opposite. It is definitely the best for self-driving passengers. select. The room also comes with a kitchenette that can be used to cook some meals. If you don't want to do it yourself, the hotel also has a western restaurant. The proprietress is beautiful and elegant. When you check in, he asks if we need to eat at the restaurant. Because the time is late, she has to leave work. If we need to eat, she will immediately prepare and serve. Really warm heart. The only downside is that there is no elevator on the second floor.

The hotel used to be a private mansion with every detail. The hotel is facing Lake Rotorua, the room has a wide view, five minutes drive from the skyline and ten minutes from the downtown. The hotel has its own paddock, where horses and sheep graze leisurely on the slopes. Breakfast can be cooked to order, and the lamb in the kiwi breakfast is very good. It was very comfortable to take a walk in the courtyard after eating breakfast. The hotel staff was warm and considerate. Some regrets were that because of the self-service on the skyline, I didn't try the dinner at the hotel. I have a chance to try it next time. There is a study room on the second floor of the hotel. It is the best hotel I have stayed in New Zealand. No one! ! Although the location is not in the city center, it is not a problem because they are a paradise so they should stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city! ! And they are not far from the middle area, right? ? Friends who drive really recommend staying here. It takes only eight or nine minutes to drive to the center for dinner. And it’s a really beautiful place. Opposite the room is a large piece of clean grass with small animals on it, which are very cute! ! And they are all clean? How is it done? ? The lady boss is really super nice and gentle, one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen! And it's very sweet to send a bottle of milk to make coffee! ! We lived in two of us and booked an apartment. As a result, we have two beds for three people. It is a large and clean place and a kitchen for cooking. Each room is like a small single-family house. lovely! It's a pity that we only stayed for one night. If we have a chance in the future, we must stay here for a few more days. I really like it. The small town of Rotorua is really a clear stream in Auckland. Love this town very much! Love this hotel! ! !

Had a full kitchenette inside the room. Complimentary unlimited WIFI worked to perfection. The owner who also runs the front desk is extremely courteous and friendly. It is a nice motel with everything you need for a short stay. You probably can't expect it to be a five star hotel, however, it is definitely beyond the standard of many motels in town. It is run by a really nice couple who were always happy to help. They offered really useful advice on where to go and what to do so I did not need to spend hours and hours doing research myself. The room that I lived in was clean and of descent size. The motel itself is conveniently located and we can get around easily. I would love to go back there again when I visit Rotorua next time.

The hotel is very nice and I want to come to the second time. Location is close to the lake, downtown, shopping malls are very convenient to eat. The hotel is motel style and the car is conveniently located at the door. The facilities in the room are complete, the tableware is complete, and the stove is full of fire to make Chinese food. The bed is comfortable to sleep, moderately soft and hard. There is a heated swimming pool, and the water temperature is roughly 32 degrees in the summer at 28 degrees. The hot spring pool has a strong smell of sulfur, which is much more authentic than the hot springs in the country. It is just a simple environment, one pool and one room, two in total. The hotel rents bicycles for free and is also very good value. New Zealand bicycles are planned to have a dedicated road, which is another way to visit in addition to hiking. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. There are also some shortcomings. Because of the hot springs, the air has a sulphur smell. But it didn't take long to stay, but it was very comfortable to ask, which was good for rhinitis and pharyngitis. The room is a little smaller. There is only one window on the ground floor where we live. The ventilation is slightly worse. The actual stay for three days is not serious. It is still under the premise of cooking in the room. In short, the hotel feels the owner's intentions and intimacy everywhere, even if it is in the hotel, it will not be boring. I also forgot that one important thing is that TV provides Netfix, and foreign hotels that have lived in the past few years have not provided it for free. More than 700 prices are very good value.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and their cats enjoy a good scratch from guests. Good to get some tips of what to see in the area, with directions and maps provided. Our room upstairs had a queen bed, and it was clean and well decorated. Views were of the garden. It was baking hot, with no fan or air con. But the quiet location meant we could keep the windows open all night. The booking site implied that there is a balcony, bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. There are, but they are shared with other guests. The hot tub was warm, and you could see down over the main town if you were tall enough. It’s located about 10 minutes away from the centre of town. A bit too far to walk, but apparently there are good bus links available. All in all, it was a nice place to stay. Very much what you’d expect from a good B&B.

Very good hotel. There is a countdown supermarket across the road, and the business hours seem to be from 8 am to 9 pm or 10 pm. The room is not large but it is adequate. Sub-outhouse. The big bed in the back room can sleep 2 large and 1 small, and the bed has wheels, and one person can easily move. A large bed in the outhouse can sleep 2 adults. The hall is small and the bathroom is not large enough. The shower faucet cannot be taken down, and the spray head can be moved limitedly, but the bath will not be affected. Free parking and 30 parking spaces. But you can go to the parking lot opposite the supermarket.

Would definitely recommend this holiday park to anybody that is going to be staying in Rotorua! It's not too far away from the city and doesn't have that famous Rotorua smell. The amenities are fantastic - well maintained, clean and the kitchen has everything you need. Also has washing machines and dryers that are reasonably priced and do a great job. The pool is nice and warm and also has a spa as well - I believe they can be utilised in any weather situation as it can be indoor or outdoor. Staff are friendly (I believe it's a family run business) and happy to help, with great local knowledge of the area and happy to have a chat! There are a few items that are available to purchase from reception such as snacks, $1 smaller bags of washing powder (enough for one wash, very handy!) and other things that you may need during your stay. Great value for money - we checked in to a powered site with our campervan on a Tuesday night and there was a special offer available for if you booked 2 nights (on a Sunday through to Tuesday I believe) you received the third night for free! It was the BEST Holiday Park we have ever stayed at (Australia & New Zealand!) and we were so sad to have to leave! It's a great base for all activities around Rotorua and definitely made our time there more enjoyable.

I have been to Rotorua countless times, every time I pass by the entrance of the Prince's Gate. I always feel that he is mysterious, but I can't book it every time. This time I finally booked it for me, amazing, and the price is very high. Two bedroom suite, the room is clean and tidy. The price is the price of the standard hotel next to the Millennium Hotel (the health level is much better than the Millennium). The hotel has its own spa pool, small, but it is good for children to play. In addition, the hotel's toiletries are very good, the paper bag packaging is very environmentally friendly, and our children especially like the taste of shampoo and shower gel. Next time I go to Rotorua, I have to book the Prince Gate.

I am a sales rep with advanced rheumatoid arthritis, I live with excruciating pain and finding a good motel is so important . Quiet off street in the heart of Rotorua the room is impressive, Apartment 5 is where I stayed , 2 bedroom with new decor in fact everything is new ! Large screen tv in lounge, one in bedroom, air conditioning, full size fridge , proper milk not those tiny tastes in foil. Built in oven which was extremely clean. This hotel was really pleasantly surprised. All aspects of this trip were very anxious. This hotel was also discovered when I was looking for the hotel two days in advance. It can be said that all aspects were quite satisfactory. The hotel is very new, the service staff is very good in all aspects, and the location is relatively superior, next to isite, city center. This time I regret that I forgot to take a photo, which is sad, but basically the same as the hotel picture. Everyone can come here to play with peace of mind. After all, I am a picky person for the hotel. Then the more worthwhile here is Blue Spring, which is free, but the road is more difficult to walk, because it is a road that has not been repaired, and you can also take a bathing suit to swim. However, the firefly hole is really not recommended. You will not be allowed to take pictures during the whole journey. Then the first stop is to look at stalactites first. It feels that any one in China is better than it. Parking The hotel is 25 days a day, unlimited access, they have a parking lot. However, we park on the side of the road. On-street parking is charged from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and it is free at night, but note that it can only be parked for 3 hours at a time. I think it is suitable for children. The room is large and breakfast is ok.

From Ctrip's point of view, this hotel should be the highest rated and close to the hot spring, so we decided to go with four couples and set up four double bed rooms for two nights. One of the rooms in the hotel was a standard room. , Two single beds, so my husband went to the front desk and asked for a double bed room. The hotel people said there was no way to change it. There was only one night bed room. The problem is if you do n’t have us Why does the system not show that no rooms have been sold out? No matter what the reason is, the hotel people have an attitude and ca n’t change it. The first thought for this four-star hotel was bad reviews. Apparently ordered four large beds. After three rooms, there was a helpless look. Is this my problem? We could n’t make up for it. The money was paid in advance. The facilities in the room were really shocking. The red blankets on the bed were pilling. They looked very dirty. To be honest, I'm not the best or the worst. I wouldn't comment. On the first night of the stay, except for me and another friend in the room, everyone went to the hotel for a hot spring, less than half an hour. They all came back. Everyone said that the water was warm and cold. I wouldn't go if I knew it. I was especially grateful that I didn't go. A hotel's poor hardware facilities can be solved, and the software ca n’t be saved if it does n’t go up! Bad review! Never go again next time!

We arrived at the B&B at 3pm and were welcomed by our wonderful host Vivien, who gave us a tour of our beautiful room and equally beautiful and spacious lounge/dining room. Vivien helped us with our three day visit to Rotorua by suggesting places of interest and favourite restaurants. We were able to get tickets through Vivien for the Redwoods Treewalk which we did both at night and again the next day. We were enchanted by the fairy lights, Trubridge lampshades and the Ruru “perched” on the branches. Vivien also had maps of Rotorua to assist us with getting around the city. A real highlight was getting to meet other guests at breakfast which was served in the dining room by Vivien. Breakfasts were superb with a great selection of cereals or porridge, toast and toppings. The other guests all went for the cooked breakfast, which looked delicious. Teas, coffee and juice were available at all times as were cookies, fruit and other snacks. The other highlight was Vivien herself. She is a bundle of energy who provides a beautiful, clean and cosy place to stay; great hospitality and really interesting conversation on a variety of topics. We had a genuinely happy stay here and give this B&B our highest recommendation. Bruce & Tui Bennett

It is a motorhome and campground. It seems to be very popular in New Zealand. When you arrive at a holiday, the family rents a RV and runs around. The scattered spots are few people, so you can only play like this. There is a public kitchen with tableware, but it is less than the seasonings. Bathing is going to go all the way to the open air, and the hot springs are also. The hot springs are not bad, it feels like the door to hell, but of course there is no such landscape. In fact, the door to hell is just a good place to go shopping, so the meaning of the bubble is not so big.

I was tempted to give the Rose Court a below average rating, but that may be a bit unfair because, in my mind, I kept comparing it to a motel we stayed at in Palmerston North a few weeks ago. That motel had HUGE modern studios with Jacuzzis and was $30 per night less. However, the price, etc. of the Rose Court is pretty standard for Rotorua. Check-in: There is a welcome recording that is activated by a sensor. You can't move at all without setting it off. And it's in Chinese, not English or te reo. We couldn't find a call button to get someone to Reception. The choice was to wait for someone or look around the motel. After about 5 minutes, someone showed up to check us in. I told her we had a reservation and gave her our surname. She asked me to spell it, which is understandable. Then she asked me to spell it again. Then asked what type of room we had reserved. Then asked if we had made reservations at Rose Court Motel. After spelling our name a third time, I went to the car to get my phone, which had the confirmation on it. When I walked in with the phone, she had found the reservation. Phew! Good thing because Rotorua was almost completely booked, including our go-to motel there. After giving us the rules for the motel (electricity to hut tubs is off between 10:00 pm and 8:30 am), we were given directions on where to park and where our room was and left to it. We were told there was a sign for our parking spot; there wasn't. As with everywhere else, it was painted on the space. We actually had to go back to ask where to park and where the room was because we didn't see the marking on the spot. We had been told the room was on the other side of "an alley". It wasn't. It was on the other side of a very short walkway. ROOM: Room 14. Had just been serviced, and when we arrived, they were replacing a broken light cover. Housekeeping was great; the room was spotless. Best bit of the room was that it has a ceiling fan (yay for ceiling fans, it was a hot as day), We had been told at check-in that the hot tub was in a separate room from the bathroom, which was kind of true. There was a half-wall separating it from the bathroom. Basically, you couldn't see the toilet or the shower, which was nice for privacy, but presents accessibility issues. If you (or anyone you're with) has balance or mobility issues, DO NOT let them put you in this room. My husband and I wanted a romantic night in the hot tub. He couldn't use it. Of course, I don't blame the motel for that; they had no way of knowing about my husband's health issues - just a little heads up for people who book there. The bathroom mirror was unframed and looked like it was hung in the 1960s. Very corroded. Not sure why, but this really bothered me. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again. I'll be booking our go-to motel (Ashleigh Court, if anyone is interested) well in advance.
