We parked at the hotel on Friday afternoon and didn't move the car again until leaving on Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and helpful, but we noted the rooms had variations in facilities; we had a bath, the room beside had a shower cabinet. Hotel du Parc is well situated; an up hill walk takes you past the oldest "botanical gardens" in France, up to the the place de Louis 14th (I think) and into the old city. Montpellier is a Southern Paris, beautiful architecture, plentiful bars and high quality restaurants, but without the chaos of high-speed traffic. The tram system stretches into the suburbs, affording cheap and easy travel throughout the city.

Arrived early-about noon after a slow walk uphill from Corum tram stop. Was greeted by snippy young lady at desk who said room would not be available until 15h (3 pm). I let her know that I was Spire Elite and had requested early arrival check-in on line. She pretended to type and act as if she was trying to find something before slipping away to a back room without a word to never return. A gentleman appeared and took control. We didn't get a suite but did receive a business room with bathtub and larger bed. AC off for season, but they tried to override so we could have air, they claimed. Fridge, but locked. Safe and outlets by bed. View north, I think. We tried to nap in stuffy room and then left for dinner. Upon return, we had to move rooms because the room assigned, #341, not only had no air circulation, it had horrible mold issues in the bathroom ceiling and reeked upon our return after being shut up for hours! We were given the key to room #427 and went to check it out. It had slightly smaller bed, shower and no tub, but fresher air and no apparent mold or mildew. Much better. We spent our 2 nights here and were much more comfortable. I don't think I ever saw the snippy young woman again! Breakfast ok with eggs made to order and other selections, which had been out awhile, but we ate just before 9 on 1st day. Got last bacon, was told out for day, but then chef came out with more, but omelet was so good and filled me up. Choices of mushrooms, ham, tomatoes (not for me), and cheese. Received good size one which was very good. Breakfast with additional charge and better to book with reservation price-wise. Even better the 2nd day once I knew the routine and got another great omelet plus some good pastries and drank lots of water! Except for our initial room, most everything was clean. Room #341 needed a major overhaul and should have been off limits until such with crime tape. It was strange when we arrived because there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. I went back to the lobby to verify that it wasn't someone else's room and was told that the sign was meant to indicate quiet area. I think they knew that this room was not inhabitable and maybe we were given this out of spite but can't prove that so I will give them the benefit of the doubt because most went well after the room change. The hotel is easily accessible once you get your bearings. We came from the Gare du Sud TGV station and took a quick shuttle to the tram and then the tram to Corum stop for less than 2 € per person. We discovered that we could walk around the hotel and cross a pedestrian bridge for easy access to a huge park that led to the Comedie area. We could also go past the Corum station and turn left to enter the old town with many restaurants and more. It is a very walkable city. At the end, we took the tram to the airport shuttle bus stop and had an easy connection to the airport. Now that I have stayed here and learned the are

Approx 10-15 mins walk into Montpellier centre for restaurants and the main historic attractions. This is a relatively easy stroll although if returning to town in the evening to eat it can feel a bit of a trek, especially if wanting to venture further into the centre of the city. Hotel has no restaurant other than for breakfast, and there are very limited restaurants nearby so this should be taken into account when planning your day. Having said that, location of hotel meant that it was peaceful and sleep undisturbed by external noise. Room was comfortable with reasonably spacious shower room. Air conditioning was efficient and surprisingly quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. If staying for a few days, the trams are a good way of getting around the city and a 10 ticket bundle for €10 represents good value. Good strong WiFi signal throughout the hotel.

Hotel location is very good, about 200 meters to the left of the building is polygone (there is Lafayette, monoprix supermarket and some other shops such as city sports, fnac, etc.), about 200m on the right is the square, some shops nearby, such as adidas original, in the city The center, clothing, food and shelter can be solved (but the convenience of France is not as convenient as domestic). The hotel is very clean, the room is not small, unlike the domestic one-off supplies, no slippers, take care not to slip, the TV only French. The front desk is on the -1 floor, and the individual has been walking the entrance and exit of the 0th floor. Maybe the other side - there is a main door on the 1st floor, no attention.

I can honestly say that out of all the Ibis hotels we have stayed in, this was the worst. While the room was clean, it was extremely small and there was no bathroom door, only a curtain! The shower also had a window in it. You would need to be extremely comfortable with who you were sharing the room with here. From speaking to friends that were also staying the hotel, their room had the same layout. One of the mornings when I went down for breakfast, there were no plates, no cutlery and very little food. There was one girl working in the kitchen and when I tried to get her attention she completely ignored me, despite having seen me waiting. When the food was eventually restocked, the crepes were stone cold but overall the selection of food wasn't bad. Other friends of ours stayed in the Ibis Centre Comedie which was only a two minute walk away and it seemed to be a far better choice!

Having stayed here ago about 18 months ago when I was delighted with my choice, I was really looking forward to returning to Montpellier and this hotel. Sadly, standards seem to have slipped a little since my first stay; the room was clean but looking a little tired and the breakfast buffet, a highlight of my first stay, was very variable this time round. Whilst much better on day two, on the first morning the presentation of food was absolutely atrocious. Take a look at the photos I have posted of the disgusting clump of undercooked croissants & pain au chocolat that was on offer. Most unappetising! It seemed to me that the breakfast area was very poorly resourced with just one staff member to prepare food, replenish stocks and clean up. They say nothing is ever as good the second time round and sadly I feel the same way about this property.

I arrived in Montpellier by train and decided to walk from the station as it's only a ten minute trip to the hotel. The station is a lovely building and many of the buildings around it are pleasant. And then you walk to the hotel ... a couple of ways - the way I chose was probably the worst ... ok along the tram lines but then you go through a very dated shopping centre (with beggars sitting outside some shops) ... down some stairs into a weird underpass which seems almost derelict and has a few undesirables hanging around ... you then suddenly find yourself in the car park of the hotel ... The initial impression of the hotel interior is pleasant - bright and lots of places to sit. Reception is tucked away in the corner. Check in was pleasant and efficient (staff even remembered Accor drink voucher) and they took time to show me places on the map. When the lift opened on the floor of my room the story gets a bit worst - very (I mean very!) dirty and stained carpets in the corridors - I did see one sign saying some refurbishment work was taking place but I saw no evidence of this and can only hope the hotel will be refurbished soon from top to bottom. The hotel is a very odd seventies style building with three corridors off each floor .. I headed down mine (more dirty carpet) and entered my 'privilege room' Good points - complimentary soft drinks mini bar which had full sized products and was replaced every day. Coffee machine. Good sized shower. Air con worked well and quietly Bad points - room in need of updating - weird colour change light above bed (which thankfully can be turned off once you work out the light switches). Cleaning standards not fabulous (long hair on desk) I then realised there was an odd noise in room ... found this was coming from outside. Looked out the rather small window to see a youth skateboarding in the grafitti covered area below ... this turns out to be a regular skating spot for local youths. This is also the other walking way to the hotel ... past the skateboarders and the grafitti ... slightly better than the other walking route but neither would I want to do at night I went down to the bar to use my voucher only to find the bar all closed up and no sign of why. It turned out that there was an outside bar area in use - which was fairly nice to go and sit in. Guy who served me was pleasant and efficient (though I would not recommend eating the complimentary snack biscuits ... odd and fishy (cat biscuits maybe??)) Next day breakfast. Served downstairs in the same restaurant area with the outside bad (in fact you could take your breakfast outside). Staff at breakfast all very friendly (my apologies I kept saying Hola after just arriving from Spain) and the selection of items was good. Fresh orange machine - two coffee machines (one freshly ground the other a pod type (why would you choose that if there's fresh bean???)). Oddly nobody took my room number on any day ... as far as I know breakfa

From the bottom of my heart I'm thanking the owners of this hotel. Apparently it's been going down many generations in this family and since they are caring so much for the customers I feel obligated to share my words about the amazing stay we had. Read more about why it was good below. The price is alright, the location is even better, but the service they provided was beyond my expectations. The day we were going home it was raining the whole day, and we thought about paying for a day-room, but they let us use the breakfast hall to relax for several hours and feel as comfortable as home. The owners lives there so it feels like a home in many ways. Thank you for being so kind to us through everything. We will come again!

Full instructions received ahead via sms to retrieve the key. However, one instruction is missing. How to get from that location to the building where the apartment is (it is in another road nearby). Luckily we were able to call the owner who explained over the phone. They need to explain that more clearly in the instructions they send. The kitchen and glassware were not very clean. The sofa is very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything was OK.

Straying overnight in Montpellier for one night we selected the Pullman, mainly because of its city center location, and indeed, the old city with all its shops, cafes and restaurants was just a short walk (via the adjacent shopping center) from the hotel and car parking right under the hotel ....very convenient Welcome was friendly and check-in/ out quick We were allocated a room on the 5th floor so with Covid-19 in mind we decided to just walk the stairs instead of taking the elevator, and with breakfast being served on the top floor of the hotel we automatically enjoyed our daily exercise Room was very clean, bed mattress of excellent quality and shower-head provided the right water-flow.....we had a great night sleep We appreciated the possibility to keep our room a little longer on the day of departure....a nice gesture! So overall we had a relaxing stay and will return one of these days, and definitely a hotel recommended to those after a great city center hotel with friendly staff and the right measurements in place in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic

I managed to book this hotel via EasyJet Holidays. My flight was supposed to land at 2130 but was delayed by 1 hour and because of this , I was not sure if I was going to make the 11pm shuttle bus to the Place de l'europe. If I had missed the shuttle bus it would have meant me getting a taxi which would have cost me 15 to 20 euros or more. Fortunately I managed to get the shuttle with 10 minutes to spare paying only 1.6 euro. It was about a 5 minute walk from the Place de l'europe to the hotel ( google maps was a great help ). Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by the hotel receptionist who was very pleasant . He informed me that my original booking was a twin bed but could give me a double room if I wanted. Naturally I agreed to the double room.I was also impressed by the layout and interior of the hotel. I asked the receptionist for directions to the train station because the following day I was going to make my way to Capao Beach in Agde. He was very helpful and showed me on the map where to get the tram to the train station. My room number was 203 and had absolutely no complaints whatsoever with the room. Nice clean bathroom, firm bed and just the right size room. Not too big and not to small. The room was also air conditioned which was much needed being at the height of summer with temperatures of 33c during the day and 24c to 26c during the night. Breakfast was adequate and again no complaints. The staff were very pleasant. I caught the tram from the Leon Blum stop to the Montpelier train station the following morning. If one is not in a hurry, you could walk it in about 15 minutes. I could go on about what I did in Montpellier, Agde and Pavalas les Flots but the review is about the hotel, suffice to say that my 3 nights in Montpellier will be something that I will never forget. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of visiting Montpellier

The room didn't have furniture. I had to put my clothes on the top of the other bed. The toilet didn't have toilet brush either, which is very frustrating as it became dirty and I din't know how to clean it. But the worst thing is when I asked for an invoice, and the woman in the reception gave me a "Duplicata Note". I asked her for a true invoice, as only this way my university can reimburse me the cost of my stay in the hotel. I insisted her in giving me an invoice, and she said that this was a true invoice, the one that they always give to the customers. I asked her to sign it, but she didn't want to sign it. She said: why I have to sign? This is what we always give to the customers! A few days later, I asked a man on the reception for an invoice with my address corrected, and he gave me a document in which the word "Facture" was clearly indicated. My question is: why they gave me at the beginning a "Duplicata note", and then they gave me a "Factura"? If "Duplicata note" were a true invoice, why to use two different words for the same thing: "Duplicata note" and "Factura"? What is the difference between "Duplicata note" and "factura"? Please, if a customer askes for a true invoice, give him/her a "factura", and don't waste our time with lies. You should know that many customers (I am one of them) choose your hotel as we have problems in other hotels to get a real invoice. If you put problems with invoices, we won't go again to your hotel.

Fantastic apartments, everything newly renovated, clean and extremely comfortable beds, the little kitchenette was very handy as well. Parking was reasonable too, in comparison with other places we stayed. Montpellier is a beautiful city and Appart’ City is within easy reach of the centre of the town. We either walked or took the tram. Tram station located very close by. We we on a road trip around Montpellier and surrounding areas, travelling with my small dog. We booked here, due to good reviews and the fact it was advertised as dog friendly. However, when we arrived we were charged an extra 8 euros for my dog and an additional 14 euros for city taxes! This was not mentioned when we booked and to my mind I had paid in full for the two nights we were due to stay. Other people with pets should be mindful of this when travelling. If it was not for the extra charges, I’d happily give 5 stars. I would probably stay at an Appart’ City in the future too, but obviously now work additional charges into my travel budget, if away for a long time.

Nice stay at this Courtyard by Marriott and great dinner at the attached restaurant Oléo Pazzo. The hotel has the nicest staff. The young man that checked us in was amazing. Treated us like long lost friends!! Our room was gorgeous and upgraded since we are Lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott members. Nice corner wrap around balcony overlooking the river. Linens were superb, bed was comfy and lovely bathroom stocked with great towels and nice toiletries. Very comfortable. Robe, slippers and coffee and tea in the room. Also we had asked for help with dinner plans. The young man suggested their own restaurant for dinner as weather was horrible outside with a lot of rain. He made reservations for us which was very nice of him. Dinner was at 19:30. We were greeted by a group of nice men. Waited on promptly. We speak no French but the servers all spoke very good English. We both started with a soup, French Onion for my husband and butternut squash for me (9€ each). Both were very tasty and served with organic breads. (Sorry no photos) Our mains was salmon with risotto and mushrooms (23€) for husband and the vegetarian plate (16€) for me. Salmon was moist and a large cut. All cooked to perfection. Timing between soup and mains was very nice. Overall SURPRISINGLY good for a restaurant attached to a hotel!

We stayed in room 903 on the top floor which had a mezzanine for the bedroom and living area downstairs so not really suitable if you cannot manage stairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout . Check in is a bit odd as you select your little plastic bottles ( one of each per guest)of shampoo, shower gel etc and were told this is to help the environment. Surely with all those little plastic bottles it would be much better to have large refillable bottles in the bathrooms? Or maybe it’s an excuse to simply stop pilferage? Anyway the room was very comfortable especially the excellent bed and we slept well despite being opposite the train station ,the double glazing works well.Good duvet and huge TV’s. Bathroom was fine, typically French small bath and small towels. Lovely breakfast. All very modern and new with good access to the old town.

We have spent almost a week in the self catering accommodation. The reception was always friendly, helpful and professional. We have requested a good month before our arrival a room on the top floor with a nice view. The reception fulfilled a half of our request. We got a room on the top floor facing the fire station and they were a bit loud in the morning and evening. Hence, we weren't completely happy with the quietness of the place. The apartment had a little kitchenette which had all basic necessary items for us to cook. The bathroom was a nice size. The room was a good size too. It's about 15 min walk to the tram station, but on the plus side only 200 yards behind the apartment was a beautiful chateau, good wines and beautiful gardens. The journey by taxi from the airport took us about 8 min and costs €29 whilst on a way back we have used public transport, two single tickets are €3.20 for the tram and €3.20 for two tickets on the airport bus. The journey took us about 25 min plus walking to the tram station 15min. Overall, the facilities of the place are reasonable, the town is clean and nice. We weren't impressed with the massage service, was overpriced for what was offered, back massage only €40 per person..for 30min....it was too gentle, it felt rather like stroking not massaging. Unfortunately, the woman doesn't speak English so if you have any pains you can't explain ...your help is Google translate or the reception.
