The Good Nite Inn Camarillo.... an overall pleasant and most importantly safe location. Had everything I needed for my two night stay from clean rooms to very professional and courteous staff. I especially want to give my gratitude to Jose, he was very patient with me as well as he really tries to go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need and that you are nothing but satisfied. Definitely will be returning.

Nothing seriously wrong with my stay, just lackluster all the way around. I have stayed at this property many many times in the past, and this was my least favorite visit so far. Due to Covid, no pool or hot tub. Due to Covid, only a small box of cereal, a mini carton of milk, and an OJ for breakfast handed to me under the plexiglass at the front desk. The 2 front desk clerks were very young and completely disengaged. Made me really miss the awesome old crew of employees at this hotel. Nothing about this stay makes me want to stay here again. I know they recently merged (?) and became SureStay, but so far I would say things have changed, and not for the better. Please, for the love of God, at least hire some really outgoing and friendly front desk clerks to make up for everything else that you cannot control due to Covid. I will most likely choose another hotel for my next visit to the Camarillo area.

First we will admit that the room was clean. These are the problems with our room experience. a) The girl gave our room away (we reserved a king size bed) and gave us a room with 2 twin beds. How could she possibly give away a room that was reserved? This is unacceptable. b) The beds were so hard that no one slept and the pillows? Does your establishment even replace such a bad item? c) We went to make coffee in the room and the coffee maker did not even have any coffee pot or cups, but you provided coffee packets and lids for non existent cups and even if those were provided there were no sugar or creamer packets. Never have I stayed anywhere where this was not provided. d) Sink in bathroom did not even have a stopper in it and we had to remove our rings as to not have them accidentally slip off and go down the drain. If that had happened I will almost be that you would have charged for someone to come get them out of the pipe because at this point we have come to the impression that your establishment has that policy. e) Brown water in the shower? Wow, that is bad. That is one an OSHA violation for not keeping your establish maintained to standards. It took forever to finally get clear water.

We have traveled all over the world many times but due to Covid that is no longer viable. We just wanted a change so this place was perfect. Close to home but still the feeling of someplace different. We went mid week, so the pool was ours to use as long as we needed. Great grab and go breakfast, hot egg sausage biscuits, bagels cereals fresh coffee etc. Rooms were clean. All guests and staff observed social distancing and masks. Staff was great, particularly Julie at the front desk . She epitomizes customer service, Friendly, warm, really made us feel like we were home with her warm greetings each day. The ONE DRAWBACK is they charge $10 a day to park which is only listed in very small print on the Hilton site. This isn't parking in a major city. We stayed here last year and parked for free. The $10 seems out of line. Other guests felt similarly. Nonetheless a great place to stay' but they should reconsider the parking charge For many it could be deal breaker.

When majority of hotels in area were all booked up during graduation weekend, this was Plan B. The check in/ check out experience was seamless with a friendly staff. The room accommodations was upstairs, directly above the office, facing the lake and next to the stairs. The room was clean overall, with nothing scary to report. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable. The bathroom towels were a bit on the rough side, but that's about it. The only complaint I had was the plastic molding that was curling off the side of the bed. Guests need to be careful entering and exiting the parking lot, due to the blind turn coming from the outlets where cars are flying down the road. When the coast was clear to make right turn exiting the parking lot, as soon as i exited, an SUV was speeding into me. Luckily, i just floored it, while the SUV broke a little too, to avoid a collision. Other than that, this Motel 6 was reasonably priced for the type of accommodations. Recommended lodging for any last minute travelers.

Really a nice place to stay right in the center of town. You get to park in the center courtyard and climb the narrow stairway. It felt like being back in the old Camarillo. The room was fresh, clean and comfortable. We had to print something on the hotel printer. The staff was extremely helpful transfering a document from our laptop to their system so we could print it.

It's stressful to travel during the pandemic so I hope this will be helpful. Overall I felt that the staff was taking things seriously, here are more specifics: Masks I saw staff members wearing masks 99% of the time. I saw guests wearing masks about 60% of the time. When you are out and about in Camarillo, most everyone wears masks. Cleaning Housekeeping comes once every four days instead of every day. I'm not sure if you could request more frequent cleaning if you want. We requested towels a few times and they took a long time but they did come. I rarely observed staff cleaning common areas. Food This hotel only has a breakfast buffet and happy hour (I think?) during normal times. There is no restaurant/no room service. Now the breakfast buffet has been changed to a paper bag containing hard boiled eggs, yogurt, muffin, or granola bar (choose two). Pretty sad, but what can you do. No coffee but there is a coffee maker in the room. Happy hour and mixers are canceled. Pool In order to achieve social distancing with the pool, you sign up for a 45-minute slot, and your family has the pool ALL TO YOURSELF for this time. This is the BEST and I wish they would keep this policy forever. :) Entrances/Exits/Elevators The building is only three stories, so you don't have to use the elevator if you don't want to. The hotel is all in one building but there are multiple entrances so you don't have to go through the lobby all the time. Outdoor Areas The rooms do not have balconies or private outdoor areas. That's a bummer. There is an outdoor lounging area that smells of cigarettes because only smokers use it. There are a few outdoor tables in a sad but shady area. My daughter and I ate our meals there a few times, and I worked there for a few hours. Few people use it. Some non-covid things: Wifi I was working the whole 5 days I stayed there and I never had problems with the wifi. Parking I see a lot of people complain about the parking fee. I found a deal that included parking, so take a look around at all the different sites. I had the remind the front desk that my deal included parking, but then it was no problem. Room The room is good! Kitchenette, desk, mini dining table.

I am not sure of reason for the previous review. If the hotel was not brand new, we couldn't tell. Every area was modern and extremely clean. I passed several hotel housekeeping staff and every one was wearing masks. My room lit up and played music on the TV when we entered. Everything was new. My kids called it fancy and were in awe when we entered the lobby. We travel to hotels several times a year. Ryan was so gracious!! She came out to the pool and helped my family and I. Above and beyond the call of duty! We stayed in Santa Barbara the night before and that hotel canceled breakfast all together. This hotel had bags prepared for breakfast to keep people safe from Covid and still provide. It is pretty far from home but we would not hesitate to stay here again. Comfy beds, clean, and service comparable to none. I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff was during our stay.

Today I experienced what every traveller fears- a reservation that cannot be found layered on top of an horrendous customer service after a long journey to Camarillo. I booked my stay through Expedia and after driving 3 hours from LA with my family, I arrived at the property, only to be told by the front desk manager Monica that she couldn’t find my reservation. She told me because I booked though Expedia it’s not her problem and to contact them. After calling Expedia and having them call the hotel back and forth, an hour later, magically they found my reservation. My credit card had already been charged at time of booking so it’s not like it was never confirmed. As you can imagine, I was quite frustrated at this point, as I had my two year waiting in the car with my husband, starving and crying. Not to mention incurring roaming charges for the international call. I expressed my displeasure of the lack of customer service and Monica told me she had the right to refuse me entry into the hotel. I asked to speak to the manager to be compensated for the time loss in my vacation and the inconvenience of having to go through this. Then it got ugly. At this point she told me she is the manager and that she is cancelling my reservation. She proceeded to call her two colleagues who bullied me saying she calls the shots and threatened to call the police if I didn’t get off the property. I told them to go ahead and call the police as I have done nothing wrong! And they went ahead- can you believe it? All because of a silly reservation mix up and they want to call the police for that!? I called their main headquarters and they are investigating the situation but based on the reviews I’m seeing, I doubt anything is going to come about this. So the best justice I can have is to advise my fellow travellers not to stay here and I hope this place goes out of business. A manager who treats a customer with such disrespect and leaves a customer stranded with no where to stay when the mix up wasn’t even the customers fault is place no customer should want to stay in. Shame on you Holiday Inn Express Suites for promoting someone like Monica to be in a manager role when she has zero customer service skills - a key quality that is essential to building a strong brand and customer loyalty. I would never have been treated like this if this was a Hilton or a Hyatt - but then again it never would have happened in the first place. I work in the service industry and I can attest to how important it is to create a positive customer experience. I am appalled and disgusted she can do this. I’m sure I’m not the first one to experience this at this location. On the bright side, while we lost a day of our trip to this fiasco, Expedia was able to upgrade me to a beautiful room at the Hilton in Santa Barbara at no charge- an obvious better choice all around. I will never return to a Holiday Inn Express again and I will make sure I let all my colleagues, family and fri
