The New Otani Hotel in Takaoka was my home for three days. Centrally located Takaoka it was easy to commute with the railway station and the major tourist attractions here. The hotel is easy to find as it’s the only tall building in the proximity. The size of the room - executive single, was very small indeed, and I would not say it was altogether comfortable to work in. Having seen the double rooms on the other side of the corridor I will certainly be reserving this when I return next month. The hotel boasts a great selection of restaurants but they were all closed due to low occupancy caused by the reaction to the Covid 19 virus concerns. Front desk speaks good English. The ground floor coffee shop wouldn’t let me in for breakfast because breakfast wasn’t prepaid - even though I was prepared to pay. Bizarre. I gave this restaurant a wide berth thereafter. There is a supermarket near the back entrance of the hotel and they have a good selection of food and drink you can take back to your room. Hunger no more. A fair hotel at a reasonable price. Careful to book a double room if you want space though.
Breakfast is an extra charge, 880 yen, which is very good, but I’m too lazy to get up.
The old man of the landlord is very nice and very nice. He watched and waved his hands at the door until he saw us at the corner of the intersection!
Very good hotel, will come next time
Hotel location is very good, very close to Takaoka train station, about 2 minutes footsteps, and there is corridor corridor rain and snow day back and forth station hotel is not convenient to have an umbrella; breakfast buffet is rich, there is also a very good western food or breakfast Optional; room automatic temperature control air conditioning, summer will be relatively cold in the middle of the night; laundry room drying is more time-consuming, I hope to have faster drying equipment.
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Takaoka Station. The staff service is good and some attractions are also introduced to us. And when we checked in, the staff saw us sweating, and he sent us a fan, really careful.
As soon as the Ruilong Temple exit at the south exit of Gaogang Station came out, it was very easy to find on the right hand side. In the business hotel in the sense of the ground, the room was not bad, and it was spacious at this price. It's just that this side is very lively and there are almost no shops nearby.
Japan’s May 1st Golden Week, because it is really impossible to book a hotel in Kanazawa, consider repeatedly, go to Gaogang for a night, and come to an urban half-day tour in the afternoon. The hotel is very close to Takaoka Station. It is just a short walk from the South Exit. It should take 2 minutes on foot. The hotel is mini-miniature, with disposable toiletries and towel bathrobes at the front desk. On the first floor there is a restaurant and a small lounge with a self-service coffee machine and tea for free. The room was bigger than expected, and there was a small coffee table on the sofa, which was really crowded with two people sleeping in bed. Other equipment is similar to traditional Japanese hotels. The breakfast is good, there are not many types, but everything is very stomachy.

At the south exit of Takaoka Station, you will see a striking left-facing nine-story building with a yellow roof ad, 500 meters away. The breakfast was good and there was a taste of home cooking. Going out for 10 minutes, you can walk to the Maeda Lichang Cemetery, and the side is the Longji Temple. Take another 10 minutes to reach Guobao Ruilong Temple, then walk for 10 minutes and return to Gaogang Station. During the stay, I happened to meet the Takaoka Tanabata Festival, there was a road show, there was a fireworks, and it was awesome.
The hotel is located at the exit of Shin-Takaoka Shinkansen Station, and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Convenient to travel small Japanese style room but clean breakfast can be served as a buffet. There is a vending machine in the lobby. This is cheaper than a mini supermarket. Seven hotels are located at Shin-Takaoka Station, just a few steps away from the hotel, and less than 5 minutes to reach Takaoka Aeon Mall, where there are many shops including GU and Uniqlo. If you go there again, you may stay here because of this hotel. The single most famous place is near Shin-Takaoka Station.
