We needed to overnight in Florence and found this place online. It is clean, comfortable, right off Rt 101 -- so very convenient (although a bit tricky to turn into from the highway). The management was very pleasant. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. No breakfast and on a busy intersection, as others have noted, but neither were an issue for us. Just be aware that this is a rather old property and budget-priced, so it was not surprising (for example) that a big ding in the bathroom door had been obviously patched and the door repainted. This is not the Ritz but it was perfectly fine for our needs!

I guess it comes down to, what does on expect for $80 some dollars a night; more than what we received for the money at Silver Sands. A room so dated, it's hard to know where to start; no A/C, beds that squeaked, not from the frame, but from the mattress; crazy! Our room was clean, but there's only so much the staff can do to make it shine; wow. A great location though, it's great in this regard for sure and the staff was very nice, no problems there; just one very updated motel; where the wow factor was not because of it being because of; well I think you get the picture.

I visited the Lighthouse Resort in Ft. Myers, Florida, in mid September 2019 with my stepsister. I hadn't read the reviews since we were there 12 years ago after our father died and we needed a getaway. The establishment seems to have changed drastically. First, the parking situation was awful, as I've read from other reviewers on other sites. It took us almost an hour to find a place that was guaranteed. After that, we found our room, which had a scent of smoke, but we were excited to get to the pool and beach and overlooked it. Now here is where it becomes somewhat dicey, and I am only relaying OUR experience for other people, especially women, to be aware of before they book a room. When we were looking for our room and arrived about 2 p.m. on a Saturday, we saw a group of people at a table who seemed to be smoking pot from the smell in the open (not such a huge deal, but pot isn't legal there and I'm sure people bring kids there) and they invited us to party. Still no big deal, but over the next two days, we believe one of the men in the group kept following us around and he appeared to be harassing women at the waterfall pool late on Saturday and asked the security guard to keep the pool open later than usual. We heard other things too that I won't repeat in detail from other fed up guests but they pertain to the round the clock partying noise and seemingly derogative and intimidating behavior to some females. To sum up, during our stay this man revealed himself to me, and my stepsister's boyfriend had to drive almost an hour to make sure we were safe. This was not the same fun, safe-feeling place we visited before. In our opinion and experience, it seemed more like a spring break party pad with not much in the way of security. On the positive, it is in a great location, with the beach, restaurants and shops right across the street. Lastly, I have written to the general manager and staff in general about these issues and as of Nov. 22, I have not received an e-mail back, which worries me. Maybe they don't care about their guests' safety or what really is going on at the property?

The lady and I have to work on VDay 2020 so we went to the coast on Monday and Tuesday before to take advantage of our days off. The Old Town Inn in Florence Oregon was our destination and our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived we noticed easy access into the place (three different locations) and large parking spots. (I like this. You can get out and into your car easier) Jered was at the front desk this night and was very kind and respectful. Professional and accommodating to our “weekend getaway” and even suggested a room without any neighbors we might possibly disturb. He informed us of all the accommodations and even asked if we needed extra towels. He let us know the local spot to eat and where and when we could do fun things. The rooms are VERY presentable and comfortable. The bed was amazing and not one over used. Great lighting. Fun clock with ocean sounds. Fridge and mic. A bathroom that was generous in size to not seem cramped. Hot water on demand. Plenty of drawers and a huge closet. It’s great that the Old Town Inn is in old historic district. PLENTY of shops and restaurants within a five min walk. It does say “free breakfast” but this is donuts and fruit. The best part is the office has mass amounts of coffee for refills (the ones in motel rooms are so small. People need there coffee stat! No complaints though. There coffee is organic as well) All in all.. we will definitely be staying at the Old Town In again for sure. Veterans get a discount. (Jered is a US NAVY vet as well as I am) Thanks Jered and Old Town Inn for helping make our special day, much needed time away from the kids, so accommodating and welcoming.

A one-night stay in this older and somewhat dated hotel after a Friday night concert and stay in Eugene. The hotel staff are genuinely nice folks, courteous, and helpful. They get the highest marks at the hotel. The rooms, overall, are comfortable but for the most part could use refreshed. The carpets needed cleaning and the wall-mounted heater/AC grumbled when turned off after running a bit, but the beds, sinks, toilet, and bath/shower were all clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable, the wifi easy to connect and quick, and the room – second floor on the east side – was quiet. Some wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling away, the carpets need attention, and thankfully we had minimal luggage for the stay since there is no elevator at the hotel. Breakfast was not up to par with most Quality Inns, but at least the old standbys of (instant) oatmeal, bagels, and English muffins available so we managed fairly well. Most Quality Inns are a bit more modern and up-to-date, but this was certainly adequate for the single night stay. And, as mentioned, the staff – front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast – were all very pleasant to deal with.

First I booked online with Expedia. When I got to the property before taxes I ended up paying about $15 more than quoted. Why? I don't know and didn't care. We got in late and wanted to get settled. The front desk "staff" were a depressing bunch. Literally had me sign gave me keys and that was all the interaction they offered up. Having worked previously at 2 different hotels previously one being motel 6 I'd give their customer service a _-10. We got to the room which smelt of must, mold and dirty wet dog. I immediately pulled back the blankets and sheets. You could blatantly tell the bottom sheets had not been changed. The sheets where formed to the diamond shapes of the mattress. Needless to say we slept on top of the blankets that we're covered with sand! We were stuck on the top floor between two rooms with loud drunk people. I think the whole top floor was intoxicated. Seemed like maybe they we're locals living there? I sprayed my perfume in the room to mask the gross odor. One of the neighbors complained and her husband responded with "I don't blame her it smells awful in there". The sink immediately plugged up. We tried to unplug it and dirt was literally coming up from the pipes. My husband plunged it which thing caused the dirt and water to start coming up in the bathtub. We were so frustrated we decided to go take a dip in the pool. We're really non confrontational and we're just happy to have a room to stay at durring Cinco de Mayo. We got to the pool room and it was full of loud abnoxious drunk people. Adults were letting their children act out with no Manors. One child was spraying us with a water toy while we were watching our kids play. We asked them to stop as we had electronics on us. The adult looked at us and told us we were fair game. We stayed there for about 10 minutes until her own kids couldn't even take it anymore and we decided to leave. You could tell the pool hadn't been resurfaced since it's been built. The amount of chlorine being used was probably not humanly healthy. There was green algea growing on the ground in certain areas. We went back to our room to watch TV and try to get some sleep for our big day. One of the neighbors drunk as all get out knocked on our door at 9:30 asking us for diapers. SMH... This place is so dated it's falling apart. It's not just tacky 80's style the walls were literally falling apart. The room was gross in every sense. I'll be great full if I didn't bring any bugs or rodents home. Don't stay here. Don't let the properties photos fool you. Never again! I don't know if Economy Inn is a chain but I will be finding out to file a complaint and submit my photos. Stay clear of this place!!!

We absolutely loved our time here. We are a couple in our 40s with Jack Russell and stayed in the A-Frame, which is super cute. The staff were wonderful, real people who personally care about your stay. It is very close to the sand dunes so the perfect home base for all of your adventures. I think there person we interacted most with was named Edi, she was great. It was so nice to have a full kitchen and outdoor picnic table and fire pit. I would have liked to stay for longer. Pro tip: Get out on one of their ATVs! So much fun!

The hotel is in a good location. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Pioneer Court Square or the river. Taco bell and subway fast food restaurants are nearby. The hotel does not include breakfast, but the big supermarket less than 5 minutes walk can completely solve the problem. The hotel has free parking and the front desk staff are polite. Just because I was not diligent enough in sanitation, I stayed in a hotel for three days, but one day I didn't hear anything.

Facilities/Amenities were nice! Room was super spacious and comfortable. Temperature was warm even with thermostat down to 69 degrees but it also may have been because the blankets are suuuper warm, made it a little hard to fall asleep. Service was solid, the receptionists were nice/friendly. I got a tiny tiny cut from the sink’s pull knob(?) by pulling it too hard/carelessly, so just be careful/slow when using it, the sides are kinda sharp. There was a little bit of trash and a left behind mascara under the bed on the side that wasn’t ours. Price for the room was super affordable, it was a really good deal and I’d be down to stay again for sure!!

The front desk service was very enthusiastic. At first, credit cards in China and Canada could not be swiped, but it was processed quickly. The hotel location is also very convenient, walking distance to 7-11 convenience stores, and McDonald's, a little further away, there is Safeway supermarket, and it is also very close to the city center across a bridge, the accommodation experience is still very good, recommended!

I booked two room for my family. There weren’t two rooms adjacent or even on the same floor. So they asked if I wanted to upgrade $25/ night to a corner room so that i can be near my family. I think they should’ve waived the $25 because it wasn’t my request for he corner room, it was only to be near my family on same floor. The engineer had to be called into my room because the movie order tv service isn’t working. Has to be fixed tomorrow.

The location of the hotel is superb, just next to the MAX light rail station. After the airport is out, you can take the MAX directly (but please note that the Convention Center station is closed at the end of May, 2019.2.20, and you may have to get off at the previous stop). It is also very convenient to the city. The stadium of the NBA game is nearby (the distance of one stop). If you want to eat, you can choose from the distance you can walk. If you want to shop nearby, you can visit the Lloyd Center Mall (about ten minutes walk). The room allocated was quite large. There was a coffee machine, a microwave oven, and a small bar in the room. The only thing was a bit noisy for the light rail station, but it didn't affect me without sleep disorders.

Can’t brag about the Hoxton enough! We had a lovely stay in Portland thanks to this hotel. The girls working the front desk, August and Joy, went particularly out of their way to accommodate us. They upgraded us rooms and helped us work out some missed travel info. They also wrote us three separate lists of their favorite restaurants for each meal of the day. We went to several of these places and were not disappointed. Our favorite part of our stay was their lounge area in the lobby. It’s a massive space with tons of vintage couches, tables and chairs. They have a coffee shop down there as well. It was perfect for our morning devotional time reading our bible and there was plenty of space between us and other guests. Sadly we missed out on their rooftop bar, but it sounds like they are opening that soon. Can’t go wrong staying here!
