the property is older but well kept. My room was clean and comfortable. I was able to get downstairs and park in front of my door. Even though there were many people in the parking lot, I did not hear them in my room. Would definitely stay again.

The area had many homeless and sketchy people in the parking lot but being right off the highway it’s easy to get to where you need to go quickly. Front desk staff is exceptionally friendly. My room had an adjoining door that was unlocked when i arrived and there were occupants in the room. That kinda rubbed me the wrong way. The room was clean. Lots of cigarette butts all over the ground. The rooms are very outdated which is likely why the AC didn’t seem to work very well.

My wife and I were in Tulsa (from Wichita) working on our rental property and needed an inexpensive place to stay, and not being concerned about amenities. Picked this place due to positive reviews. BOY WAS I SURPRISED. We normally stay in 4 star hotels when on vacation, but for this purpose we were cost conscious due to the nature of our trip. In similar situations I have often stayed at many of the other ”Name Brand” budget facilities under $60. Hometown Inn is light years ahead of the rest. Although small and frugal, offering nothing more than basic vending machines, the property is meticulously maintained and clean. Walking in, you are greeted with extremely fresh smelling hallways and super clean carpet. You can tell this is a family owned and operated facility, taking great pride in its upkeep. We were pleasantly greeted by the female owner, Rupal, who owns the property with her husband. She was vacuuming the hallway when we arrived. Super friendly and kind hearted, as we noted her young daughter playing in the lobby while Rupal vacuumed. Rupal seemed to be there most of the time during our two night stay, so I suspect that they might live on site, but that is only conjecture on my part. Walking into the room held quite a surprise to us. Spotlessly clean and fully remodeled with brand new furniture that was as nice (for its size) as much more expensive properties. The bed was comfortable and you had several choices in types of pillow. This hotel is facing an extremely busy freeway but our room was as quiet as a church. In other words, well insulated. It does have tile floors so your feet will get chilled walking on them (not a biggie), but that guarantees no musty odors from old and soiled carpets. My biggest pet peeve for all hotels, including the high end 4 star facilities is the horrible water pressure in their showers, dribbling barely enough water on you to rinse. NOT THIS ONE. This hotel has the best water pressure in a shower that I have ever experienced. On top of that, they have installed large stylish shower heads that spread the flow all over you. That alone is worth the price of admission. Only minor negative, like most hotels, the towels are pretty small and pretty rough to the touch. I know that is somewhat necessary due to needing to keep the bulk down, for daily washing and drying of linens. But I will definitely take that in favor of the shower. Bar soap is barely large enough to lather with, but we always bring our own full size bars when we travel. At first we couldn't find a fridge to put our leftovers from dinner, but then discovered it hidden in the credenza underneath the TV. Coffee maker is really dinky and only makes one small cup at a time. Be sure to request styro coffee cups from the front desk if there are none in your room. Ours did not have any the first night there and we had to use their small clear plastic water cups. Later found out that the maid overlooked that item. There are 2 ”built in” night

Hello Everybody!!! We are having a wonderful stay at ESA (Extended Stay America) Midtown, here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Due to the prior 2 years of dealing with COVID 19 protocols and restrictions, and the subsequent explosion in house prices, my wife and I decided to remain here at this hotel for an extended time. The staff here have been fabulous in caring for our every need. Even during this past week, when you had several top events held here in Tulsa, including the PGA Golf Championship, which caused zero available rooms in the Tulsa area, the staff responded in an exemplary fashion. Of course, whether it’s airlines or hotels, Booking Agencies (not the hotel itself) are notorious for overbooking the different sites. I happened to be in the lobby and witnessed several unhappy customers who had no room available to them, many after traveling here from a long way off, just to realize the hotel was overbooked. So, the staff was under tremendous pressure to explain “Why”, “the customer insisted”, and what they were going to do now? I could see the hopelessness and helplessness in their eyes. But actually, it’s not the hotel’s fault. Having travelled worldwide and stayed in over 35 countries, I can see this issue is a systematic failure of the Reservation System, in that the Reservation System does not take care to ensure booked travelers are not stranded due to over-bookings. This System needs to be revamped to take better care of travelers so they will not be stranded because of over-bookings. Still, the ESA Staff braved the difficult language being thrown at them, and handled the situation in an extremely Professional manner. Once again, The Staff at Extended Stay America has gone over and beyond their normal call of duty to satisfy clients and ease the pain of a difficult situation. Great Job ESA Midtown! Jim H.

We chose this hotel as we are Hiton honor members and love other Curio collection hotels we have stayed at. It did not disappoint ! From checking in we were made to feel very welcome, rather than incur cost of valet parking the parking attendant let us use his space overnight and just put a few quarters in the meter the next morning after 8am, we used the complimentary shuttle both nights and thank you Ron for the suggestions of where to visit and also the hotel tour great to hear its history we fell in love with Tulsa and will use this hotel when we go back

From the time I walked in until the time I left, everything was top-notch. A very kind young man by the name of Morgan welcomed me. After glancing around the exceptionally clean lobby area, I said, what a nice hotel! With a look of pride on his face, Morgan said, wait until you see your room! I could tell he was invested in his workplace and he was right about my room. It was exceptionally clean, spacious, and very well appointed. After taking my bags up, I came back down to ask Morgan about a nice quiet place to eat. I explained I had spent the day with a lifelong friend of 70 years who was in a nursing home, under Hospice care, and not expected to live. He displayed genuine concern and compassion that you don’t often see anymore. He was on duty a couple of nights later and asked about my friend. I told him she had passed away that very afternoon. He told me he was so very sorry and asked if there was anything he could do or if I needed anything. I was touched by his sincerity. On another note, the breakfasts were delicious! There was quite a variety of things to choose from and the young lady (Isadora?) in charge of the buffet kept everything supplied well and was very personable while doing so. My stay at your exceptional hotel made the sad reason for my visit to Tulsa much more bearable.

Aloft Tulsa Downtown

There was a prolonged heat dome over Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago and it was no time for a hotel's AC to be having problems, but alas that was the case with the Aloft Tulsa Downtown. Two rooms we were given on the 10th floor had thermostat set to 68 but room temperatures of 79 and 81. Then we got moved to the 3rd floor, which was good the first day but then had the same problem the second day. The afternoon/evening desk person was nice and apologetic each time we came with an issue. Eventually a maintenance guy came up to the room at 10:30 at night and worked on it for a while. He managed to get it to where the temp would top out at 75 or so, which was livable. But it wasn't just a room issue; the whole hotel seemed to be struggling, as corridors were not cool and the desk people were keeping the lobby door open and had a large fan blowing at them. Otherwise, the room was clean and enjoyable, with a high ceiling and plenty of boutique touches similar to other Alofts. One of us didn't like how the bathroom was arranged with a sliding door and no good place to put the bathmat after a shower. The other of us was okay with the layout but didn't like that the middle position of the bathroom faucet gives hot water to drink. There are food items including a variety of items for breakfast on sale in the lobby. There is a pool that guests seemed to be enjoying and an outdoor table area and patio from which we could watch sunsets. The morning desk person had lots of interesting advice for things to see or do in Tulsa or outlying areas. For what it's worth, the Apple Maps app has the wrong idea where the hotel is and will take you to location that does you no good. You need to go to Denver and Fifth, then past the Tulsa County Central Library, and that's where the entrance is. Then once you've found it, there's a gate that has to open for you, both entering and leaving. And if you're just out for a walk, there are different gates for a human to use, which require a code to get back in - be sure to ask the desk person because they don't inform you otherwise. The reason for all that security may be the immediate area, which is not that appealing. Despite being the downtown, there isn't much going on there, even on weekdays. And sadly there is a homeless problem in the area, especially in front of the aforementioned library (which is a great facility if you go inside). About the most normal activity comes in the morning when lawyers and others enter the Tulsa County Courthouse which is opposite the library. Now maybe the area is more active when there is an event at the BOK Arena a couple of blocks away, or a convention is taking place at the Cox Business Center right behind the hotel, but when were there for three days, the area was just not happening (in stark contrast to Bricktown in OKC, where we had been previously).

We had an excellent experience staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Tulsa's Downtown Arts District. The location is prime, and it's within walking distance to many of downtown Tulsa's attractions and restaurants. First of all, the attached parking garage was easy to navigate and it provided a safe space for our vehicle. The entire property is secured by key card, so security was never a question. The elevators were quick and responsive, and navigating the property was easy and straightforward. The room was perfectly clean and well put together, and the front desk service was friendly and informative. We enjoyed the pool, which felt like it was saline (no smelly chlorine, awesome!). The breakfast was tasty with vegan and vegetarian options as well. Thanks especially to Kristin and Sarah for the exceptional service and great experience. We highly recommend staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites -Tulsa Downtown Arts District anytime you're traveling through Tulsa. We will certainly plan to stop by next time we're in town.

Nina at the front desk helped me and she was awesome! I needed some help with printing several documents that I had misplaced and needed for a meeting. When I went to the front desk to ask for help, Nina was there with a smile and asked how she could assist. She quickly stopped what she had been working on and insisted on helping me right away. Nina printed the documents that I needed and delivered quickly. This was the only time that I have been in a pinch like this and needed help immediately and I was so happy that Nina was there to help me. She is great!

Read all of the bad reviews and realize this is a crappy hotel for any price. I did not and paid the price. No hot water in shower for 3 days. Heat and ac did not work. Toilet did not flush correctly due to age. Outside card reader did not work. Elevator broke. Found out about hot water about midnight when hdcp brother was already in bed. Next day I was told entire hotel was without hot water in showers and it would be fixed. Got in late that night another cold shower. Found out later shower valves were just bad in some of the rooms as other people were taking showers in different rooms, that would have been a nice option. Staff was very nice but in hindsight that really did not matter. Called hotel to talk to mgr 2 times with no reply before writing this review. I have now stayed at 2 Clarions, downtown Atlanta and here and will never do it again, both in terrible shape.

Had a one night stay here (in 2 separate rooms) while visiting local family after Christmas. Staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout the stay. Loved the layout of the deluxe king room; larger than some suites. The seperate sitting room with couch and the bedroom back along the hallway past the bathroom. It was also a mileage trip as I needed one more stay to hit Hilton Gold for 2023. We enjoyed the breakfast (still a little pricy) in the lobby before heading out. Right off the turnpike and close to fun spots on the south/east side of town.

I would not stay at this hotel. I arrived at the airport and first ordered an Uber, while I was waiting I saw the hotel at a shuttle. I approached it and the driver acted like he never saw a black person before. He saw I wasn’t leaving so he asked where I was staying. I confirmed the Doubletree. He then told me he would be awhile and I would have to wait as if he’s prefer me yo get out and find my own transportation. As I felt uncomfortable, I got off the shuttle and took an Uber. Arriving at 1am in the morning, it was not a pleasant experience. Arrived at the hotel I formed the receptionist of my experience and she attempted to justify his actions.

Almost next door is an awesome Cannes Chicken! It was drive thru only due to pandemic and line was around two blocks but still worth waiting for. Many good restaurants nearby. The hotel has lots of company workers booked here and it really drags the hotel down. Lots of dope being smoked near entrances. If you don't get to breakfast early the food is all gone with little or no restocking by the staff. They seem to be ok with this. Our room was clean and in general the hotel is not located near any major roads so, except for the HVAC, it's quiet. My wife who could sleep through anything couldn't sleep through that racket. HD ear plugs and two pillows for me. Because of my error check-in was a nightmare. The front desk was as helpful as she could be. But everything in the ”business area” was out of order which made it impossible to print out the correct vouchers except by a long process which aggravated everyone and ended up not working. By the time we got through the process a second time the reservation had been cancelled and everything had to start from scratch. Needless to say it took over an hour for check-in. While we were there we witnessed some of the worst customer service ever. A traveler had bugs in the room. She took pictures and showed it to hotel staff. They did nothing. She tried again with new pictures, no effort by staff to rebook her, spray the room or anything. She showed pictures to the custodial staff, again nothing except blank stares. If I hadn't witnessed this two day long epic cluster I might have rated the hotel as average.

Room was clean. Coffee and tea were generous. Bathroom was well lit and mostly clean, but things are a little worn or cracked in corners and edges. Bed was comfortable and linens were soft and smooth. The reception was a grand area with stylish furniture. Staff is courteous and helpful. Oh yeah, so I went to the hotel gym for a light workout. As I am busting out some dumbbell curls and presses I notice this older guy in washed denim overalls with one strap hanging down and a slim female trainer exercising next to me. She spoke with a slight accent, which was curious to me. Then I realized that the guy was Bruce Springsteen. Hah! Well, nothing unusual- just people staying fit. I finished my workout and went on my way. It is a nice hotel with a great location.

The staff are very friendly. The front desk/foyer is deceptive though. Very new and updated… super clean. Then you get to the hallway to your room and you begin to realize the rest was not as updated. My hallway had a slight odor to it… then I got to the room… the room smelled awful like really old musky mildew… old wet carpet smell. Their were snot boogers blown on the wall near the bed (not kidding) and the sitting chair looked like someone had either given birth or possible been murdered… it was disturbingly gross. The bed was a full size that felt like it was made from layers of plywood and it was set up with a king backboard and night stands fixed to the wall so you almost had to get out of the full size bed to reach the night stands. I will say the maids cleaned daily of you wished and the smell wasn’t so bad after a can and a half of fabreez. They did have decent internet and surprisingly large 4k tvs. This was paid for by Melton Truck Lines for training otherwise I would have left the moment I saw the room and the smell… oh that smell.

I ordered the wings but they didn’t have the sauce I was hoping they had. Well John got with Jennifer and they created and awesome sauce to die for. Needless to say they created an experience that will make me return. Such customer accommodation and service is few and far between but this place exceeded all expectations. Do your self a favor and stay here. If you do say hi to Jennifer and John for me.

I check in a room on the 9th floor and when I arrived the room was hot. I turned down the thermostat as low as it would go and this was around 3 pm on 9/18/2022 on a Sunday night. I had never stayed in a embassy Suites until now. Three hours later the room was not cooling down so I called down to the front desk and he told me that he would send someone up right away. I waited about 45 minutes and went down to the front desk and asked again about the air situation and he chased after the maintenance man halfway around the hotel lobby and told me my problem. Didn't do it earlier when I called down. Forgot about me. Well around 9 pm no one showed up so I went back down and the maintenance person had went home and the same desk clerk said the maintenance person said nothing was wrong with my air. I asked how did he know and was told he checked on it. And I replied How when he didn't come up to my room. Another lie! Another desk clerk arrived and heard us and gave us another room. Problem solved.

We stayed over Christmas in 2022 and it was an adventure... 1. We had a 2 bed/2bath suite that had a nice kitchenette and living room between the 2 rooms. It was perfect for my husband and I who were staying with my parents. 2. We realized there were no phones in the living room. Or any rooms. Neither of the bedrooms or the living area had a phone. The website advertises 3 phones. How are we supposed to call in case of an emergency? 3. Our toilet was acting up and we needed wanted maintenance. Since we were unable to call, my dad went to the front desk and was told there is no maintenance and they hand him a plunger. 4. Thursday was probably the coldest day of the year. We had a thermostat that dad put at like 75 but it kept getting colder and colder. The room got down to 65 degrees. Upon inspection, the furnace wasn't properly sealed up. When you opened that door (which prob should have been locked), you can see daylight coming through. So there was no way the room was going to get warm. So we get moved. Thankfully to the room directly above us so it wasn't too difficult to move rooms. At least this new room had ONE phone. However, the heating and cooling in this room was the exact opposite and the thermostat would go up to 80 on its own. 5. We go out on Friday night and notice in the lobby area on one of the tables there was an ice chest and a binder that said ”fire watch”. Long story short, none of the sprinklers or smoke alarms were working so they had to hire a company to be Fire Watch and they walked around every 15 minutes. Not sure what good this would do in alerting people if majority of the rooms probably dont have phones. 6. So I started paying attention to the fire extinguishers since apparently we had no working sprinklers or smoke detectors. Majority of them were in locked cases on the wall and you're supposed to break glass and at least half of them didn't have that sharp tool to break glass attached 7. Another safety issue...one of the side doors that are supposed to be locked so you need your room key to enter after hours, was still open at all times during the day/night. If you read prior reviews from earlier this year, this was complained about in a review and management claims it was fixed. 8. The door to the pool area was propped open with a towel and left like that which is another safety issue as a kid could easily run in there and into the pool. 9. There was expired food in the fridge in the breakfast area and I pointed it out... they threw some away and turned the others around. The one and only nice quality about the hotel, we were able to hook up or roku to the TV and stream without issues. Yup, being able to use our own Roku was the highlight of our stay. Kenya at the front desk was also very nice and pleasant when listening to our concerns. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT stay here. If you value any sense of security, avoid this place at all costs. Its a complete joke. An assistant GM did contact my dad and h

Cracked mirror and window. Ragged edge carpet into bathroom. Some critter (maybe a sparrow) wreaking havoc in the ceiling above the bathroom fan. Dark corridor as bulbs not working in hall outside our room, so that felt creepy. Shower head pipe was loose. Drawers on desk and nightstand kept opening after being closed, giving the sense that everything was off-kilter. Our friends’ room didn’t have a blanket on their bed, just a sheet and the shower curtain-like coverlet, so they bought a couple of throws for their stay. Paint touch-ups in our room of whatever color they had on hand, so oddball blotches hither and yon. Graffiti on our friends’ torn window screen on their little balcony. Front desk workers were kind enough, but they had to go clean instead of working the front desk in the morning, so it really gives the impression of trying to operate a large hotel on a raggedy shoestring. Even though it’s off-season, the outdoor pool looked particularly uninviting and neglected, like they probably never use it, and it’s set in some strange, grungy alcove of the building. Someone is trying to make the front entrance look clean and somewhat grand, but trash strewn around the property and some weird outdoor space that may be an old cemented-in pool (?) just give the overall impression of neglect with little hope in sight.

Waiting for new apartment move-in date, needed a place to stay for a month. All were very friendly and helpful. I stayed the whole month particularly because of Alec. I didn't have to worry about my car. He performed security as I would and I'm an Army vet. All were courteous and friendly. I will return if I need a place to stay.

Stayed here one night while passing through Tulsa. The hotel is pretty new and is in a great location; it’s walking distance to plenty of restaurants. There’s also a rooftop bar with a great view of the city. It’s open to the public which is slightly odd. We didn’t know it was Pride so we’re surprised at how busy the city and the hotel were. Checking in wasn’t the best. Despite booking two rooms they put us on different floors. I understand it was a busy night but I know for a fact plenty of other groups were put on the same floor. They did eventually move up to the same floor but only after some negotiation. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. The room with one bed felt much larger and had a seating area. The bathroom was good too with a decent shower. There was a very loud fan in the bathroom that would not turn off which was annoying. Despite the room being nice, everything went downhill from there. There was a large group of people staying on our floor who were divided between at least four rooms. They had clearly been drinking all day and were being very rowdy. From 10pm onwards they kept coming in and out of all their rooms, making an insane amount of noise in the corridor. They were shouting, arguing and taking really loudly. They kept all the doors to their rooms open and were basically treating the hallway as an extension of their rooms. We rang the front desk multiple times to get them to talk to the people but they did nothing helpful. I think they maybe sent someone up at one point but it did nothing. We even tried to reason with them but got nowhere. The hotel staff dealt with the situation very badly. They should never have allowed a group that large into the hotel. Spreading them over an entire floor was always going to be a bad idea. I can’t say I’d recommend this hotel. It doesn’t seem well run despite looking good and being in a nice location.
