The only time I write reviews is when there is something remarkably good or remarkably bad. This Extended Stay falls in to the latter category. Upon check-in, the GM Larry seemed rather pleasant. I went to my room and was a bit disturbed at the cleanliness (or lack thereof). I pointed-out that the linens were dirty to which they promptly sent housekeeping and changed them out. However, the carpet still felt as if it hadn't been vacuumed in several months. That aside, I was willing to deal with the dirt because I work long hours and the thought of trying to find an alternative place to stay late at night was bewildering. I was there for about 7 days of a 9 day stay when I noticed bites on my arms, legs, and other parts of my body. Upon a little closer investigation, I found bedbugs! I'd post a pic here of one of the little buggers I found, but I don't think I have the option. Upon bringing this to the attention of the person at the front desk, she promptly offered to relocate me to a different room and wash my clothes for me. This seemed acceptable right until I walked in to the new room. The new room was dirtier than the first! The smoke detector had been removed and the wires connecting it were hanging out of the wall (obviously cross connected to make the fire alarm system believe there was something there - have a nice pic of this too!). Even more disgusting than the carpet was the dried urine on the toilet seat! By this time, it was already close to midnight. I felt trapped in what I was sure was going to be a snuff film! The type of film where they burn you alive for calling attention to the bedbug infestation. I didn't sleep one wink that night. Instead, I laid atop the covers on the bed using my coat as a pillow. I had to be at work early the next morning, and I was still waiting for my clothes back as it were. The next morning, I made a special trip to speak with the GM (Larry). The gal at the front desk said that he was unavailable (although he walked out to give a plumber a map of the hotel). When he walked out, he looked as though he was recovering from a night long party binge. Obviously couldn't be bothered to help customers with a very serious issue. I went back twice and called several times, but still, nothing. Honestly, all I wanted back was the $$ for the night I didn't stay there (#checkedoutearlybecauseofbedbugs). In reality, the should have refunded me the entire stay! This was the most miserable stay I've ever had at any hotel EVER! (And I've stayed in remote rural China where the toiled is foot pads on either side of a hole in the ground). If I could give this less that 1 star, I would. You know who I am Larry. Room 118. Thanks for NOTHING!

A death in the family took me to Aurora, Colorado twice in a week. This location of Fairfield Inn & Suites was typical of all such hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was clean, orderly and in good working order. The staff were cheerful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was not great, but it was edible and satisfying. If you want a better breakfast there are other options just a short drive away. My only complaint was that the internet access points were mislabeled. I saw two options: “Fairfield Guest” and “Fairfield Lobby.” Since my room was as distant from the lobby as it could be without leaving the building, I selected “Fairfield Guest” but I could never sustain the connection. Eventually I connected to the internet on “Fairfield Lobby” despite the great distance between my room and the lobby. Now, at last, I had a stable, fast internet connection.

From the moment you step in the door you get that home town feel. A smiling friendly face at the counter and a cheerful welcome. The rooms are always clean and fresh, Housekeeping does a great job at keeping the whole place very clean. If you need anything all you need do is ask, if it is possible they will do it. I highly recommend this property for a short or extended stay.

The room was clean, spacious, and well organized. The bed and pillow were quite comfortable. The bathroom was adequately stocked with towels and standard amenities including a nice hair dryer. The room had a coffee maker with coffee supplies, a microwave and a mini-refrigerator. There was a nice work desk. The closet had real hangers. Room heat was comfortable. There were several wall electrical outlets which mad use of my oxygen concentrator and CPAP easy to set up. My only negatives were that the window coverings did not provide good blackout for the room and there was no TV station guide. I got one from the front desk but it was not accurate. While there are a fair number of channels available it is difficult to know what is available. The breakfast provided scrambled eggs, sausage, country potatoes, hard boiled eggs, oat meal, fruit, a waffle maker, juices, milk, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. There was adequate table space for those eating there. Staff was friendly, competent, and efficient. Elevator worked well which is important for those, like me, who are mobility limited.

Stayed three days from July 19-21. Was skeptical given some negative reviews. Everything was great for us. Room was ready at check-in time. Staff allowed me to check the room before making payment and it was clean. Slight odor but nothing offensive. Room was clean by the time we returned each evening. Felt safe at all times of the day. Quite happy with this choice.

My nephew and I wanted a place to stay near the University of Colorado Medical campus. We chose this hotel due to the proximity. It was recently refurbished, has a free breakfast buffet, warm welcome cookies, and 24 hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby. Great variety in the breakfast buffet. There is something for everyone! There is a hotel shuttle that goes to anywhere you choose within a 3 mile radius. Panera's, Noodle and Company, a vietnamese restaurant, and hamburger/sandwich restaurant is within walking distance or you can go via shuttle. You can also go to the local drug store or Target via shuttle. They have a small fitness center. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The general manager, Ibty, had been there only for a week and was AWESOME! She wanted to make this a special stay and could not do enough for this lifetime Titanium member. It was moderately priced. You may/may not get a better price than the published rate if you identify yourself as a medical center patient. For me, the published price was less expensive.

Everything was great accept my key didn’t work for the back door at first but was able to get it fixed after a few tries. And I’m assuming it was housekeeping kept beating on my door well before checkout and disturbed us sleeping in. Pillows were flat but overall comfortable stay. I have to echo the other recent reviews that this hotel deserves a middle of the road rating. The parking lot looked like it needed worked on (the first negative thing). Why am I paying $8 a night to park in a lot like that? Check in was okay. The elevators and hallways seemed very tired and somewhat dated. The room itself was just okay. It looks like they put new wallpaper up, but the furniture didn't look new. It was quiet and the bed was decent. The pillows were very poor. They had absolutely no support. The bathroom was fine. The elite benefits were a joke. I was not upgraded. Also, due to COVID, there is no lounge. They offered a grab and go breakfast in the morning which consisted of a bottle of water, yogurt, and granola bar in a paper lunch bag. What a joke. The restaurant was open for room service, so I'm not sure why they couldn't offer Platinum members a breakfast sandwich or something. That was just so cheap on the hotel's part. I only stayed at the Marriott for one night and then switched over to the Courtyard just down the street. If I'm back in the area, I will stay at the Courtyard without a doubt. They gave me a room upgrade to a suite and provided a $10 daily food and beverage credit as a Platinum Bonvoy member. The Courtyard also provides free parking for everyone! Much better than this Marriott.

So, I have been staying at this location since Oct. 31. It is now Dec. 22nd. Up until now, I have had a remarkable experience here. My rooms have been nothing less than amazing! The housekeeping service is top of the line. The entire staff including management has been awesome, with an exception of one staff member name MAX. Max should not be employed at this wonderful location with his attitude and lack of knowledge, of this hotel’s policy. His snobbish cantankerous attitude is totally unacceptable. He definitely needs to be working at a 7-Eleven, on the graveyard shift. Visualize that! Now, to the incident. Keep in mind, I have did this before with other staff members without any issue. Anyway, I am set to check out tomorrow. During my lengthy stay, I charge items from the marketplace located downstairs by the front desk, to my room. Then, when I prepare to leave, I pay for the items with my card. I asked Max to separate my incidentals so I can pay for them now. He is staring at the charges and begins to manually count each item under his breath but loud enough for me to hear, I purchased since Nov. 22nd smh. Then, leaves to go to the back like he had to do something real quick. He returns to the desk and says “just place your card in the reader”. I reply, how much is it? He then replies “we charge you $100 and whatever the actual charges are, it will come out of the $100 we charge”. What?! I never had this problem before, I am just paying for the items I got from the store. “Everyone else didn’t know what they were doing. This is what you have to do. We need your card on file”. No, you do not. My company’s card is on file. “Well, this is the way it is suppose to be done”. I am not paying $100. “Well, you can just come back in the morning and talk to someone else about it”. I sure will. What’s your name? *points at name tag*. I can’t read that. MY NAME IS MAX! I will be speaking to the manager in the morning. Max needs to be retrain in good customer service instead of displaying hood customer service (he is not black but I am). Staying away from my family for work since Oct. 31 and having to deal with his attitude??!!! I think not!

My husband has stayed in Cambria hotels before for business, and had nothing but high praise for the quality of stay. When I booked this hotel for my work related trip to Denver, I booked primarily for the proximity to the airport and health center, as well as the shuttle service. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience with this hotel, particularly with one of the front desk staff. Upon arrival I called for the airport shuttle, and having never been to the Denver airport before, didn't know there were two "sides" for Hotel pickup, and received poor directions on where to be for pick up. The driver proceeded to pick up the wrong passenger, didn't confirm the name, and I was left standing for an hour in 14 degree weather outside. I called a Lyft. The next day I needed a shuttle to the health center, and scheduled that night. When I went down for the shuttle, the staff member had put me down for the airport instead of the health center, so I had to get another Lyft. Finally, the following night I asked for a shuttle to the train station. I was left sitting and waiting in the lobby long after the shuttle returned because the same front desk staff person had conveniently forgotten that I had just requested a ride. I am a medical professional and was in town for an interview at the health center, and I do expect staff at any institution to express interest in customer concerns and treat them with respect. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk assistant, she completely ignored my complaints and made no eye contact when speaking with me. I am surprised she has a job that is people-facing. The saving grace of this interaction was that I was able to speak face to face with a manager, who reimbursed me (in cash, which was interesting) for my Lyft ride from the airport, and to and from the medical center for my interview the next day. I hope that this is an isolated experience, and that the personnel improve to meet the needs of their customers, as the hotel was very clean and that part of my stay was great. There was just poor communication overall, and for a hotel that seemingly prides itself in its shuttle service and customer service, they fell very very short in my experience. If I return to Denver for business I will not be staying here.

Lucky enough to have been gifted two nights at the Gaylord. At check in Kaitlin was super friendly and explained how things worked during covid. New restaurant hours, the tokens for treats during guest hour, parking and gave us instruction sheets with information. They had started decorating for Christmas so there were pretty lighted trees and decorated Christmas trees starting to be put out. There is hand sanitizer all over on stands which I appreciated. Also signage on the floor indicating direction to walk in. I’m not good at that so couple of times I walked the wrong way. The room had a Mountain View which was nice. Only drawback was the sun was bright during the day and we had to pull the lighter curtains so it wasn’t in my eyes. Nice shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner in pump bottles. No touch stay for the duration since we were only there a couple of days. She told us we could call if we needed refills or anything else. Safe and fridge in the room. Great desk with charger plugs inlaid. Excellent for remote learning. Hairdryer and iron supplied. Bottled water, wipes, hand sanitizer, tea and coffee complimentary. Soft queen beds and pillows. Plenty of towels. The shower head was large and water pressure strong making showers relaxing. We had parked in the lot and taken a ticket. You can pay the ticket at a machine in one lobby hallway or the attendant in the lot. Since we were staying, we activated our room key and paid the daily parking rate. You return your hotel key in a box next to the parking exit once you swiped it to let you out. The gym was great. Hand sanitizer right outside and inside. Bottled water provided. Only thing that would be better is if they provided disinfectant wipes so we could wipe machines down before use. I enjoyed working out. The pool area was nice. Water slide, fountain, jacuzzi and lap pool. Lap pool was on small side and water temp cold. I think there was a lazy river but not sure as I didn’t go near enough to check it out. They provide towels there. Wish it were warm enough to use outside area but it was nice in the jacuzzi. There is a spa but the prices were high. Resort store for snacks, gifts and souvenirs. Starbucks in a food convenience store. Sushi, sandwiches, pizza, soda, candy and dessert. Nice place for breakfast or lunch. My floor also had a vending machine next to the ice machine. Restaurants have different times and some are only open Thursday to the weekend so check availability before heading to eat. The food in the restaurant we ate at was average. There is a daily resort fee of $23 which I felt was steep and the parking is $29 per day. It was a good staycation and much needed. The staff were friendly and the amenities good. If I get another free stay I would come again. For a staycation it might be worth it if you took a cab here and used the amenities daily.
