5.61km from Colorado Music QuestThe only time I write reviews is when there is something remarkably good or remarkably bad. This Extended Stay falls in to the latter category. Upon check-in, the GM Larry seemed rather pleasant. I went to my room and was a bit disturbed at the cleanliness (or lack thereof). I pointed-out that the linens were dirty to which they promptly sent housekeeping and changed them out. However, the carpet still felt as if it hadn't been vacuumed in several months. That aside, I was willing to deal with the dirt because I work long hours and the thought of trying to find an alternative place to stay late at night was bewildering. I was there for about 7 days of a 9 day stay when I noticed bites on my arms, legs, and other parts of my body. Upon a little closer investigation, I found bedbugs! I'd post a pic here of one of the little buggers I found, but I don't think I have the option. Upon bringing this to the attention of the person at the front desk, she promptly offered to relocate me to a different room and wash my clothes for me. This seemed acceptable right until I walked in to the new room. The new room was dirtier than the first! The smoke detector had been removed and the wires connecting it were hanging out of the wall (obviously cross connected to make the fire alarm system believe there was something there - have a nice pic of this too!). Even more disgusting than the carpet was the dried urine on the toilet seat! By this time, it was already close to midnight. I felt trapped in what I was sure was going to be a snuff film! The type of film where they burn you alive for calling attention to the bedbug infestation. I didn't sleep one wink that night. Instead, I laid atop the covers on the bed using my coat as a pillow. I had to be at work early the next morning, and I was still waiting for my clothes back as it were. The next morning, I made a special trip to speak with the GM (Larry). The gal at the front desk said that he was unavailable (although he walked out to give a plumber a map of the hotel). When he walked out, he looked as though he was recovering from a night long party binge. Obviously couldn't be bothered to help customers with a very serious issue. I went back twice and called several times, but still, nothing. Honestly, all I wanted back was the $$ for the night I didn't stay there (#checkedoutearlybecauseofbedbugs). In reality, the should have refunded me the entire stay! This was the most miserable stay I've ever had at any hotel EVER! (And I've stayed in remote rural China where the toiled is foot pads on either side of a hole in the ground). If I could give this less that 1 star, I would. You know who I am Larry. Room 118. Thanks for NOTHING!
