The location of the hotel is good, only by the park, I got up and ran 8 kilometers in the morning! It's a half-hour walk from the old city. But the room is really not flattering, the sofa bed is broken and can't be opened, so I have to sleep on the sofa!

It doesn't matter if the hotel is not in the city center, but it is a little far from the subway. It feels inconvenient to travel. If you want to take the bus to other places the next day, then this hotel is more suitable because it is right next to the bus station. Not far from it, walk about 10-15 minutes. He is not bad, service, facilities, and sanitation are still possible! The price in the peak season is a bit high, and the price/performance ratio is relatively low!

I’m traveling around Spain and stayed here for / nights. Not bad, good location and nice view from our room with a balcony, lots of light, subway and shopping area right across the street. Just seems to be old fashioned and outdated at some points, and also I couldn’t find any toothbrushes in the bathroom. For this price I stayed in a lot better hotels. Anyways we were pretty satisfied and enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

Breakfast is very good, especially the hot quiche, the location of the hotel is relatively biased, to go to the city center is still a little distance, the hotel facilities are relatively old, the corridor into the room is a bit like a hospital, the parking lot is a bit scary, To make a few bends and open two doors, the parking lot is also darker.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at L'Esplai. The room was spacious, quiet, extremely clean, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was toast with grated tomato, followed by an omelet or other egg dish, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Our hostess, Africa, was absolutely charming and was extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit and places to eat. We would have missed the fabulous train station downtown if she hadn't suggested that it was worth a visit. It was a beautiful art deco tiled building! The B&B couldn't be in a more central location, just a half block away from the main square and cathedral, so there was lots of shopping, places to eat, bars, etc. very close by. Highly recommended!

A small gem in the heart of Valencia. Great and very helpful staff that is rarely found nowadays. Because of the Covid-19 the breakfast is delivered to your room which is great as rooms are spacious and comfortable enough to enjoy the quietness. The Air conditioning is great too as we discovered that’s not the case for everywhere in Valencia. I also like that the air conditioning unit is specific to the room and not central as most hotels are. This makes it a lot safe during this strange Covid Times. We stayed initially for a night but our further plans cancelled and we extended the stay for over a week. Highly recommend this hotel and hope we will have to visit Valencia on another occasion and stay here once again.

This hotel has been well laid out so that a small number of rooms on each landing makes for a feeling of peace and privacy despite its excellent location between the Turia park and centre of the old city. The warmth and helpfulness of the staff, notably Carolina, made for a stressless visit. Everything was very clean and comfortable, the rooftop terrace charmingly appointed, and the hot drinks (free) available from the first floor machine in the unexpected cafeteria style seating area a real bonus, as was the fact there were hot beverage making facilities in each room. Bring able to leave luggage in safe storage after check out, so we could have a bit of extra time exploring, was an added bonus.

Unfortunately from the beginning we had a bad welcome to the hotel. That made our stay in the hotel bad. Need to be careful with the key card, if you don’t want to be in the street and call the emergency number. If you call that number as an emergency they can be rude with you and they blame you . That’s what happened to us in the check in. Our flight arrived the city at 14 h, even in the email that they send you they say they can keep the luggage and if the room is ready they try to give you before.. we called that number and was the worst decision that make our stay uncomfortable. My wife spoke with the recepcionist about the problem and she continued being rude with us and blaming us. The last day she apologized but wasn’t worth it. If you say you can keep the bags or give the room before the check in time at least don’t be rude with the guests and try to give a solution. Luckily one man enter to the hotel and offer to us to keep the bags inside I guess is the manager we didn’t know. Otherwise the room was good quite enough for 4 days. Some noise from the next hostel. Bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was normal and good cleaned. The room and the hall had a good smell. If I recommend these hotel is because location but was really pity for us the situation we had. Wish they improve it and give a solution to the guest.

The room was great with some great features but there were some issues. We were in room 002, which was on the ground floor. It had patio doors to a little court yard. The court yard was also shared with the neighbouring room, which in itself was not issue except that there were no heavy duty curtains up and the window. So after a long day on our feet, when we returned to the hotel to rest up, the light pollution from the neighbouring room was intense. The bathroom was basic but to be honest that was all that was needed. The shower was great though! However, the door would not open properly and stuck on the floor, making it difficult to open should you of required at night. Like mentioned earlier room 002 was on the ground floor, useful, but unfortunately very noisy. The voices carry very well and are loud, which we found when people were returning to the rooms at the end of the evening. The doors slammed every time and the voices echoed around. If you were asleep, then you would not of stayed it. On a plus side the location of the hotel is perfect for old town Valencia. Nothing was more than 30 minutes away. The receptionist was brilliant. Very welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. We would stay here again, but not in room 002.

The room is very large, the old town is very close, the kitchen utensils are basically ready to cook, but the Spanish cuisine is really delicious, so it is not recommended to do it yourself. Go to the old town and go straight to the right and walk for less than 10 minutes. Yes, a lot of delicious, attractions are also in that piece, in short, good

The B&B is located very close to the arts & science Park and the Turia Garden, which is great to explore by walking, jogging, cycling. A bus stop is very close, too. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms were perfectly clean. Free coffee, tea, water, soda was offered 24/7 in the common room along with cookies and fruits. We received vouchers for the bakery close by which offered everything from fresh orange juice to sandwiches. A pleasant stay and very decent prices.

We booked this hotel as it was a good price in a good location. The reception and lobby is very stylish and the rooms were nice too. The rooms were big enough and the bathroom large with complimentary shampoo and shower gel, however there were a few niggles such as the door handle missing and the shower didn’t drain well so the floor was always wet after having a shower. The location is spot on - within a few mins from the cathedral and market. This was one of the best things about the hotel. It’s about 10 mins to the main transport hubs of xativa train station (line 3 to the airport) and bus 32 to the beach (plaza de ayunmentio). The staff were friendly but it was a bit hit and miss. English isn’t strongly spoken and sometimes young students served us who were still learning and couldn’t help us with basic directions or transport query. This and the room quality are the only reasons why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. Everything else was spot on- especially for the price.

Stayed for a week on the 3rd floor- bright sunny well appointed apartment with everything you would need. We chose this because we wanted to shop in the market and cook the lovely fresh produce from it. The building is on a square with coffee and bars below but these tended to close late afternoon so you didnt have the noise all night long from the chatter below. I slept so well here - normally you are woken by the scooters and shouting in the streets but heard nothing - best weeks sleep for 30 years of coming to Spain! It was a five minute walk from the main reception area where you pick up the information which was ok as we travel light - we got a bit lost coming out of the wrong Metro Station exit at Angel Guilermo but they were very friendly and helpful and pointing me in the right direction as well! My only suggestions would be to put some chopping boards in there. Very pleased to see sharp knives as well - hate having to hack vege and meat with blunt knives. And either take the door handle off the doors in the bedroom or reduce the size of bed - my husband is bruised from trying to get past it and catching his hip on it. We loved our stay so much we have booked to come again and try a different location.

Well what a marvelous Gem of a Hotel this is. The location is absolutely perfect, I stayed with my husband for my recent birthday. I must say the Hotel, Restaurant and its staff are so welcoming and go above and beyond customers expectations. Knowing that it was my birthday the hotel manager Veronica had arranged for our room to be filled with birthday balloons, red petals on the bed and complimentary cava. It was such a wonderful start to our weekend. When eating lunch at the restaurant (Great Paella Valencia) I was also presented with a chocolate tart with a birthday candle and the staff sang Cumpleaños Feliz/Happy Birthday. I honestly would not wish to stay anywhere else. I cannot wait for us to return to Valencia and Hotel El Siglo.

We arrived to the hotel only to be told we don’t have a reservation and this really horrified us. I had booked and prepaid 6 days prior to our stay. I booked only 1 night to see if we wanted to continue our stay here for a further 4 nights after experiencing the hotel first. Some else came down to check on the other system. And we were told the reservation was there but hadn’t been put on their other system. I assume this was an internal error on the hotels side. This immediately gave us a negative impression. We were then given a key to our room without much explanation of the facilities, the local area, no map was offered etc... we were not asked if it’s our first time to Valencia and what the purpose of our stay was etc... The room is spacious with kitchen facilities. Walk in shower in the bathroom is good. Bed was comfortable and large size. The internal lighting is not very bright, at times it was difficult to see. The area is noisy due to the market and local restaurants etc... directly outside the windows of the rooms. We didn’t sleep well. The restaurant appears well presented but the staff were disinterested in approaching or serving us. It appeared they had a larger table reserved and were only concerned about waiting for that big group to arrive. We didn’t feel welcomed here. So we decide to not eat there and went elsewhere. The spa opens at 10am and has a medium jacuzzi, small cold pool, relaxation area and a steam room (the shower in the steam room doesn’t work). Everything was ok. Overall good but probably wouldn’t stay here again based on our experience. If you are a deep sleeper and want a good location with abundant in room facilities then this is a good hotel to stay at.

Breakfast is great! Very rich, the location is good. There are bathrobes and slippers, this is rarely available in other European hotels. Hotel parking charges are somewhat expensive, 16 Euro / night, but after check-out, the front desk guys offered to help drive the car to the hotel door, and helped with the luggage, there is no tip, it is worthy of praise. The hotel receives many tour groups. Some domestic group guests like to shout loudly. When entering the room, they don't close the door. The whole corridor is very noisy. The hotel room is soundproof.

The staff were amazing and were able to advise as well as support any enquiries we both had. First time visiting Valencia and came for MotoGP. Booked three nights in MD Modern Hotel. The hotel is in walking distance from the centre of Valencia in an area nice and quiet. There is some very close restaurants, even one at the end of the road but we didn't eat there. Room was bigger than expected with two big windows and most importantly clean. We even had a little fridge which was handy for keeping snacks for the MotoGP. Shower was amazing, nice and hot. The only issue we faced was with the kettle as the plug doesn't stay in the wall so I had to hold it in to boil it. This was a minor thing which did not affect our stay. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations for local restaurants. Would stay again.

Me and my friend really loved this place. We stayed there for 5 nights now in August and it was perfect. We shared kitchen, but had each its own room with private bathroom, three towels included. There is everything you need in the kitchen, except for the sponge and dishwashing gel. Also a well-functioning air-conditioning included. Everything is relatively new and very clean. Location is not the best, but we didn't complain. Konzum and Mercadona are just few minutes away, as well as restaurants, bars and clubs. Close to the beach, 20 minutes walk or 5-10 minutes by tram (station just few minutes away). The nearest metro station is 10 minutes walk away and then 10 minutes ride to city center. Great place for the good price! We would definitely recommend it, especially to young travelers.

Hygienic conditions are also good, there is a relatively large parking lot, very suitable for passengers traveling by car. Valencia is a very beautiful place, we stayed at the hotel for three days, traveling to Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences, the ancient city and the eco-park, a great and convenient experience. It is more cost-effective and safer than hotels living in the city. It is very convenient for Carrefour and gas stations.
