|0.2km from city centerWe stayed here for the weekend during a recent city break. It is true that you get what you pay for and this is the case for Hotel Leuka. The reception and welcome was good. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is a bath come shower arrangement with good water pressure and temperature the water was hot. The location is in a side street away from the main roads and only a short walk (3 minutes) from a C6 bus stop for transfer to and from the airport. The hotel is quite noisy as having hard (stone) floors with any footsteps or moving furniture can be heard. The walls between rooms are quite thin and people talking can be quite easily heard. Breakfast is plentiful though the scrambled egg and bacon were'luke warm'. There is a bar next door which we sat in for a couple of evenings. The drinks were really inexpensive. We enjoyed walking around the town and to the harbour with a day trip to Benidorm on the train. There's quite a lot to see in a weekend in Alicante and certainly worth a visit.

|1.4km from city centerOnly an overnight stay before our morning flight back to uk. We wanted somewhere within walking distance to the city centre and with parking. The hotel was easy to find with free parking, and also a 15 min easy walk to the bars and restaurants in the centre. In the morning we had an easy 10 minute drive to the airport. Our room and bathroom were a bit dated but clean and comfortable which is all we required. We didn’t eat in the hotel but had a couple of drinks out on the terrace when we returned to the hotel in the evening. Given its location and free parking we would certainly visit again.

The hotel is very nice overall.
With a very large hall and several places to sit to drink or to put.
A bar with affordable prices, a restaurant and a swimming pool complete this hotel.
The hotel has a sports room but it is not accessible. It should be called to a coach you will have to find and pay for yourself.
That's so much to say that it's not useful.

|4.42km from city centerWe booked this last minute as quick as we could in Alicante airport after the strikes and we were stranded for best part of a week …close to the airport 15 euros in taxi…close to marina and Alicante Old Town 10/12 euros in taxi each way …pool was lovely and had 2 outdoor jacuzzis …apartment was huge spacious and clean did the job …cheap as chips to stay here …reception friendly and so was little cafe that sold snacks and drinks …Aldi is 6 euros in a taxi one way also…got us out of a sticky situation and made some fabulous friends there too.

|0.17km from city centerWe have just returned from this accommodation and could not fault it. We arrived at the airport and got on the C6 bus which dropped us off about 200 yards from this hotel. We were on the 30th floor so not good if you like heights but view amazing. Appartment excellent, really spacious. It seemed it had recently been refurbished. There were only two of us but it would have slept four people. Large bathroom containing towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste and shower gel on arrival. The kitchen also contained washing up liquid and cleaners. Maid service every day with clean towels. Continental breakfast included. Five minute walk to the beach. Would recommend this appartment. Alicante is lovely too.

|0.69km from city centerThe room is good and there is a balcony with a nice view. It’s a lot to eat when you go out nearby, but be careful with the bunch of restaurants that lie to tourists. There is a small supermarket in the next street. It is a daily necessities for Chinese people to buy. The service is very slow and slow, although it seems to be an effort (?) but it really needs to be improved. And the elevator is the most troublesome thing I remember. I have to wait a long time. Once I waited, I would like to climb the stairs to climb a dozen layers.....

Very well located, close to restaurants, supermarkets and bars and excellent value for money. I would like to point out that despite being a hostel, they cleaned our room every morning and included a small breakfast free of charge. I would definitely recommend it for visiting the city of Alicante.

|8.1km from city centerWe were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We didn't want to stay in the centre of Alicante but wanted to be close to the beach. San Juan beach is across the road/tram tracks and there are a few beach restaurants/bars along the beach strip. These restaurants mainly serve Mediterranean cuisine and seafood, and we ate at Casa Domingo which was great. There are also bars and restaurants a few streets away from the hotel among the residential area. We spotted some sports bars, burger places and pizza places around that area. The hotel grounds are lovely with a nice garden and pool area. There is also a pool bar and music playing while you lounge beside the pool. The hotel had outdoor bar and restaurant seating areas which was lovely at night and for breakfast in the morning. We ate tapas in the restaurant a few nights and enjoyed the food. The breakfast selection was really good, a mix of hot and cold foods, breads, fruits etc and I enjoyed the lovely cold Spanish omelette slice every morning!! There is a Consum supermercado about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and a pharmacy too. The supermarket is quite big and has everything you need. Our room faced out the front of the hotel and we had a pool view as the pool is across from the front entrance to the hotel. The balcony was nice and clean and we could dry our towels on the railing. The room was nice, clean and modern and the air conditioning was amazing during the 30+ degree heat. There's a fridge and a kettle so it was handy to keep some drinks chilled. Our only quibble was the shower was missing a door so it was impossible not to get the floor wet, even with the floor towel. It's not a big issue but the hotel should really have a shower door to avoid unnecessary damage to their flooring. The reception staff were really nice, as were the restaurant and bar staff. The tram stop to get to Alicante city centre is about 5 minutes away from the hotel. You can pay on the tram by card and can select English on the machine. It's about 2.90euro to travel to the city centre and takes about 15 mins. It was a really nice location if you want to spend time by the lovely San Juan beach or by the pool. If you do want more action at night, the tram will bring you to the city and taxis are reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again!

The cost of attaching the car is about 5 euros. Breakfast 12 euros / person, not much things, still exquisite. Underground parking is available for a fee, and on-street parking is free. The hotel has a good internal environment with 2 swimming pools. Two-bedroom house, one with a bathroom, and two chairs for relaxation on the outdoor balcony.

Food was not presented well; School dinner-ish and no table service. The one member of staff (at the bar) taking orders also had to deal with bar orders. Because the tables were grouped together there was not enough seating for diners. One at our table had to separate the tables for social distancing - there was no member of staff who showed any interest. Completed orders were shouted for from the bar area. Contrast this with Barcelona the night before. Why so different?

The hostel is in a great location (just behind the Castillo Santa Barbara, near the market hall, near Ramblas and the old town). You can reach all important places by walking. The hostel itself is great. The staff is very friendly and it is very clean! The rooms are spacious and offer a locker (bring your own lock) and the beds each are equipped with a plug, a light and a small shelf. The curtains allow some kind of privacy. There are lots of showers and toilets and the kitchen offers coffee and tea for free. There's a fridge to store your things. Next to the kitchen is a small laundry room. All I all you do get a lot for the price and I totally recommend it.

Me and my friend, we appreciated the location of the hostel which is close to the beach (15min by walk) but also to old city and places with vibrant night life. In the pub, which is part of the hostel, you can grab some beer and meet other guests of Ole. The staff was really friendly and helpful also with advising us about what to see in the city and where to go for a day trip and they also prepared sangria evening for guests. In the room you can find a tiny metal locker for your belongings. You can also borrow a towel for extra money which is convenient if you're travelling only with small backpack and don't have much space. In bathroom there was basket with almost all necessary things such as shampoo, shower gel an body lotion but I would consider a renovation of bathrooms because they seemed a little old and also only 2 out of 3 showers were working at the time of our stay. Also there was privacy curtain missing at my bed which I think is important to have when you are sleeping in the room with 11 more people (in my case). In general, I would recommend the hostel to anyone who is planning to visit Alicante for few days - service and quality for this price is very suitable for backpackers. I would choose Hostel Ole another time for sure.

|1.17km from city centerThe hotel is very well and centrally located at the marina. From there you can reach the city center in just a few minutes on foot and the beach is also in front of the door. As the name of the hotel suggests, the hotel basically consists of 2 types of suites: a marina view suite and the more expensive open sea view suite. For us, the marina was also a beautiful sight and the room is large and spacious. The bathtub next to the bed was honestly one of the reasons I chose this hotel and I have no regrets. The entire complex, from the street to the sea, belongs to the Melia hotel chain and is therefore “shared” with the Spa Hotel Porta Maris. However, care is taken that the breakfast is in a different room than that of the guests of the other hotel. There is also a ”private” exclusive pool for the guests of the Suites del mar. The breakfast is really very good, you have a magnificent view of the sea and through the ”orange machine” you have the freshest orange juice. Nespresso is also available for a good coffee - the other coffee machine for cappucino etc is a shame!! Why is there a machine with coffee and milk powder in such a hotel????
Otherwise everything according to the price. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. Parking garage costs €20 per day/night - that was too much for me, we parked for free in the area and then took a short walk to the hotel.

|1.14km from city centerMy friend and I are just back from 3 days staying at the Hotel Spa Porta Maris by Melia. The good points: - great location; 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, old town and promenade where there are lots of cafes/restaurants and market stalls. About 20 mins walk to the higher-end shops and El Corte Inglés department store - comfy beds, large shower, decent wardrobe/drawer space, balcony big enough for 2 - entire hotel is spotlessly clean - nice buffet breakfast in restaurant with amazing views The not so good points: - check-in was a little slow - we arrived around 1pm to be told our room wasn't ready and may not be until around 4pm. We were able to store our cases safely until then but had to get changed and freshen up in the restaurant toilets - our stay was paid in full well in advance of our arrival but they still took my credit card details. This was possibly to cover any in-room charges but this wasn't made clear - the bar seemed to close relatively early for a city centre hotel (not sure what time exactly but I think it was before midnight) All in all, I would recommend this hotel and have no hesitation in using again.

Location wise it is not very convenient, being beside main road, opposite side of the beach and bit further from the centre - although on walkable distance. My room was nice, clean, with comfortable bed, bathroom as well, with all necessary toiletries. Good Wi-Fi. Nice variety of hot and cold dishes for breakfast, local and international cuisine. Small swimming pool and nice cocktails in the swimming pool bar bat also at the hotel bar. All in all, very nice, but just that. Breakfast and bar staff were very good. Front desk staff were less smiley than their boss would like to hear.

Totally wonderful one night stay for myself and my wife celebrating her birthday at the end of a fortnight’s holiday with other family members up the coast. From the initial e-mail exchanges for our booking to leaving from the foyer/office of the Santa Barbara apartments just round the corner was a very pleasurable experience. A delightful greeting by Estefania and her colleague (apologies for not recalling her name!) when we checked in to the hotel soon turned to amazement when we were shown our room, the Alfonso XIII Suite, with added surprise in my case! What a magnificent suite in a remarkable building. No negative about our overnight stay at all, and we were able to leave our luggage until our taxi, ordered by a staff member, arrived on schedule later that afternoon. Can highly recommend this aparthotel. One final mention has to go to Jesus. The “hombre número uno” here. As he kept reminding me! My apologies for being a day late with this review Jesus. Been too busy telling people about our stay with yourselves! 😄

|0.92km from city centerBooked for 3 nights, knew it was going to be nothing fancy but the location was important, very short walk across the road from the beach and marina also the bus stop from/too the airport which was a big positive. Me and my girlfriend arrived at about 11:15 and asked to leave bags in as the website stated check-in was not to 16:00. After a short wait the receptionist said the room was now ready so at about 11:30 we were in our room! The room was a bit small with the a view of a brick wall but it was nice and clean with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. There were a few minor marks on the walls and a bit of stains in the bathroom but as stated earlier, we just wanted a clean basic room which overall it was. Fridge and safe it the room was an added bonus. We went down for breakfast on the first morning but it was nothing special and not worth getting up early for, didn't bother with it for the other 2 days apart from getting a coffee. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel, and would consider staying again if we were on a tight budget, but maybe next time we might try something a bit more special.

|0.63km from city centerWhat an amazing find! This self-contained apartment was a perfect home base while we traveled the coast of spain. The apartment was very well appointed. It was furnished with dishes, towels, fridge, cooktop, microwave and toiletries and cleaning supplies. It is a secure building and you have to walk about a block over to check in. Super easy. Elevator was ”large” by spain standards. Bed was comfortable and although in the middle of everything, once the doors were closed you didn't hear a thing! Being here in winter months the AC was off but we slept with the bedroom window open to a nice breeze. Our friends, who live in Alicante, were very impressed and plan to rent for their visiting family.
