We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay over Memorial Day weekend. Gorgeous views of the Cumberland Plateau from every second-floor terrace, and from most of the property. The pool is excellent - large, renovated, spotless, in a great outdoor spot on the property. My 7 year old, who has travelled with us for work and so enjoyed a number of fancy hotel pools told me this pool is one of her 2 favorite ones, and kept saying "America's Best Value" is a great hotel!:) The rooms themselves have not been renovated in a long time, so don't come in expecting luxury, but the service, pool, and view more than make up for the older interior! A quick and easy ~ 5 min. drive to the heart of historic downtown. Thank you for a great stay!

We don’t typically stay at motels but this one won us over. Overall it was a good stay. The staff was friendly, the room was very large and clean. We didn’t love that the door opens to the outside but that’s a motel for you. With that said it was actually pretty quiet. The only thing we really didn’t like was the mattress cover. It was pretty lumpy. Once we got it smoothed our a bit we slept good and the bed was comfortable.

Bishop Steve Warren is an iconic pastor with one of the most anointed and fiery churches around. He’s a notable singer/songwriter, and a dynamic preacher. When coming back from an out of state Thanksgiving get away my wife & I wanted to visit his church. It’s no wonder it’s one of the fastest growing churches in the area. We had an outstanding time! ...When we contacted the church to verify service times and such, they recommended Quality Inn. Our stay at your lush hotel was the icing on the cake. Everything was exceptional. We slept comfortably that Saturday Night & greatly enjoyed their 10:30AM Worship Service. The church house was overflowing with people; which is why they have a new (nearly finished building) which they’ll be moving to in early 2020. They’re also planning on having a huge conference. No doubt, they’ll recommend your hotel. Both Faith Chapel Ministries with Bishop Steve Warren & your excellent hotel were of the greatest “QUALITY.”

I stay at Hampton Inns for a reason. Service, cleanliness, and amenities typically come to mind. Upon my arrival to the Cookeville Hampton Inn, the front desk had a cheap wireless telephone charging base set on it with a hand written note that said "Push the button"! After ten to fifteen minutes of waiting, we finally walked around the counter and knocked on the manager's door. The young lady then sprang into action and asked if we wanted to check in. Three separate guests had been waiting there for her while she sat in the office. The room was clean, but it had a distinct and pungent chemical smell somewhat similar to a industrial carpet cleaning solution. The room seemed to be on the small size, and it became obvious this facility and the complex was designed to be small and cramp from the parking lot to the room. I have had squirt guns with more power than the shower and the water was either scalding hot to super cold. The bed was clean and comfortable and the HVAC unit seem pleasantly responsive. I went down stairs in the morning after 5:00 a.m. to get some coffee and watch the news. Again there was no front desk person to be found and the lights were off where the lounge was located. I fixed my coffee and changed the TV to the news channel after I located the remote next to a half gallon of partially drank sweet tea at one of the tables. Then a young man by the name of David came out of the facilities kitchen and began to question me on "who turned on the lights". I told him that I did and was having coffee and watching the news. He turned the lights off and said they were not suppose to be on because it was "not breakfast time yet'! This is the lobby of the Hampton and gathering site for guests! So to sit in this area, I had to sit in the dark. David turned off the lights, and I threw away my coffee and headed back to the room where my family was asleep to work on morning communications. So I joined Tripadvisor to create this review. I have stayed in hundreds of Hamptons and Hilton properties. This Hampton did not displace the worst Hampton experience that I have had (Deadwood, South Dakota), but it is one spot above it. I will never stay here again and advocate for my business associates not to either. Obviously, the owners of this facility either condone this management style or not aware of it. There needs to be more competition in this area because the service is subpar. In the future, I will push by Cookeville, Tennessee and focus on Nashville or Knoxville for my stays where the guests are treated like guests. I would suggest that others do the same.

We found this hotel to be clean, and close to restaurants, and the main highways in the area. As with all hotels at the time of our visit, the COVID-19 issues required them to limit the breakfast to items in a bag that you get from the front desk. This included a breakfast bar, an orange, a small bottle of water, and a little bag of muffins. Juices were still available at the breakfast area. You can also bring your own milk and cereal, and they will provide you with bowls and spoons. The room was clean and quite. Didn't hear anyone much outside, and even two rain storms were not heard in the overnight hours. The pool was too cool for my comfort, as many indoor pools are wherever we travel. This was not a major issue. Parking was good, and we even stayed an extra night here. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and assisted me with a printing issue, since there was a problem with the one for guests to use. Overall, would recommend this, and would stay here again.

I’m a Diamond Elite member and we are in hotels 200 nights a year. I love the super soft sheets at Comfort Inns. We stayed twice this week on our way to and from Virginia. Convenient to a mall where we could park our horse trailer and walk to food. The hotel was quiet with comfy bed & linens. The pool was clean, clear & warm. In the gym used the bike, treadmill & weights while watching TV. The refrigerator also had a freezer which was nice to refreeze my little cooler ice pack. There was a safe in the closet. There was parking out front and around back for our truck & trailer. For breakfast the egg, hash browns, & bacon casserole was a great change from the usual. We will stay again.

My wife and I were visiting Cookeville to see my parents, and decided to stay at the Key West Inn because it being close to the downtown and my parent’s house. We got a really nice rate of $55. The hotel has an antique look from outside but is very modern from the inside. The staff was very kind and helpful and gave us the newly renovated room. We were very happy with the quality and definitely would visit again. They had close the breakfast due to covid19, but Chris was kind enough to give us some bagels and coffee upon request. One thing to improve would be the exterior of the hotel. But loved the location to be so close to Shopping centers, restaurants and brewery.

My assistant and I were staying in the executive suite. When we went to leave for a bit we found that the door would not latch. We had a lot of computer and camera equipment with us specifically in the room (can’t be left in the hot car). So this had to be packed up and carried back out to the car with us. I mentioned the issue to the front desk and the representative informed me that she would contact maintenance but did not have a comparable room. She offered a standard room however, I booked a executive suite because that’s what I needed. She offered to have maintenance come and look at the door while we were gone. She later called and said that maintenance couldn’t come in. I don’t know if this is because they just didn’t want to or they really couldn’t but I would’ve thought that in establishment such as Holiday Inn would have 24 hour maintenance. Nonetheless she informed me that she went up and took a look at the door and found that if you pick up on the door it will latch. This was acceptable I suppose since the door would actually latch. So we were stuck with the trailer park door for the night. The next morning we decided We would stay at the comfort suites. As we were leaving we noticed a nice cold Miller light on the Housekeeping cart. Also anytime you need the front desk for the most part you have to call them and wait for them to finish what they’re doing to come help you. I can’t swear that the housekeeper was drinking but if I found a beer in the room I would pour it out and trash the can. Moving forward we will be staying at the comfort suites. They had a comparable room for half the price, it was just as nice, they had a better breakfast, the pool was open, they allowed a lighter to late check out They had better parking and the staff was just as friendly if not more so. Since this stay I posted this review on the Holiday in page and of course they emailed me saying they denied it and it wouldn't be posted. Siting that the door not latching could have legal ramifications. Apparently they don't want anyone to know that. Also I have since noticed that I didn't get the double points I should have gotten as part of a promo I signed up for. I will be contacting them later to inquire about this. Also unlike the other local hotels the pool here was closed. (Not sure if I touched on that or not.) Also no one that works there was wearing a mask and there are no vending machines, only the hotel store.

I stayed at this hotel while in town on business. In total I was there 12 days. When I first checked in, I thought this was going to be a pretty good hotel. The staff was friendly and it appeared to be clean. Wrong..... After the first couple of days of not having my bed made, I spoke to the front desk about it. No problem, sorry, it will be taken care of. I also asked if the housekeeper could vacuum up the finger/toe nail clippings that were on the floor between the beds. Sorry sir, we will take care of it. Not! I finally got a hand written note that due to me having a quilt on the bed, they couldn't make it. I always travel with a quilt (my wife makes them) and have never had this problem. Ok, so I started taking the quilt off the bed. Still didn't make the bed. The ice bucket was never changed, spilt chips on the floor never cleaned up, sheets never changed. All in all a terrible experience. Had my employer not been paying for the room, I would have moved.

I am surprised at the negative reviews. My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The room was exceptionally clean - thank you for no carpeting!! We loved the bed even better than our high dollar sleep number! (I tried to fit it in my purse but it kept unfolding. ;)) The private balcony was an added bonus. We stayed on the mountain side for the view but it was also the road side so, a bit of noise. Families will probably prefer the back overlooking the pool. The pool was clean and warm. The grounds were well taken care of as well as the general look of the building being well kept. The staff was friendly and engaging. I wish it wasn't 8 hours away from me as I would do frequent weekend getaways here. Breakfast was a brown bag due to COVID so I cannot comment on that. NOTE: There is no elevator which was difficult for me with my handicaps. Request a 1st floor room if this is an issue.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past year. Initially it was a great place to stay and the hot breakfast was a definite perk. However the last time I stayed it was not as clean as it used to be. The main areas of the hotel floors and rugs were visibly dirty and my room wasn’t as clean either. It didn’t look like the carpet had been vacuumed at all and there were some stains. The hot breakfast has been suspended due to Covid-19 and they are offering “grab and go” but it’s just cereal. Overall I will likely stay here again.
