We stayed for 3 nights at the Corte San Luca Apartments as a family of 4 in a 2 bed apartment across the street from reception. The apartment itself was quite spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen doesn’t have lots of equipment but has plenty for making light meals and there are items such as a toaster available if you ask. Beds were really comfortable. Linen and towels were changed after 2 nights. We arrived by car having emailed our car registration beforehand. As the apartment is in a ZTL zone (restricted driving zone) do this to avoid a fine. We followed instructions given to park it in the reserved spaces in the underground car park. As other have noted it isn’t easiest place to find and it took a few attempts to find the entrance just off the main road near a public car park just by the underpass. From there it’s about a 5 minute walk to the apartment. Not easiest if you have lots of luggage so definitely recommend driving to the apartments to pick up keys and drop off bags before parking. Reception is only manned for a short time during the day so arriving at 4pm we collected the keys and information pack left for us and check in was the following morning. The apartments are in a great central location, lots of shops and a variety of restaurants on the doorstep and less than a minute to lake. There’s some live music in the evenings but for us this was enjoyable and no problem. It stopped about 11pm and couldn’t really be heard inside the apartment. We really enjoyed our first stay in Bardolino and would definitely recommend these apartments.

Clean and centrally located apartment close to all the restaurants, bus station and lake. Very welcoming owner (Andrea) super helpful with any queries that we had, he even booked restaurants for us for the nights (he speaks English and I heard him speak German too!). We had a toddler with us and they provided us with a high chair during breakfast and a very comfortable cot for her to sleep in. Breakfast is optional but it was lovely and we opted for it everyday...situated on a roof top terrace perfect way to start your day - coffee with a view! We will definitely return to this b&b when we visit bardolino again.

We stayed here with my parents for a 10 night holiday. Hotel exceptionally clean, yes it does need a little modernisation in places but overall excellent. Breakfast excellent choice, the hotel also offers a lunchtime menu which we ate from twice during our stay. For a hotel we also found the bar drinks a good price. Evening meal again excellent choice although you do have to choose at breakfast what you want to eat that evening. Hotel staff very friendly. Would stay here again.

This hotel is in a brilliant location on the lake front and a short stroll to Bardolino. The pool is large and just the right temperature to cool down on a hot day! We had 3 triple rooms but the 3rd bed is a cot which is more suited to a child rather than an adult. Otherwise the room was fine - modern clean and excellent air conditioning. There were a lot of complaints about rude reception and restaurant staff but actually I found all the staff very helpful and friendly. A special note for the pool bar staff who are really friendly and efficient! A very nice bunch of people from the boss on the till to the order taker and the young servers on the floor. Our Italian is non existent but they never got impatient with us. Dinner is a little stuffy but staff are friendly. The food is very canteen like with no food prepared in front of you. I have been to a lot of 4 star hotels and always get eggs cooked fresh for breakfast so it was a real disappointment - rubber eggs that have sat in the heater for far to long. They were really awful! Definitely needs a rethink. Also, I had 3 teenagers with me and they were disappointed not to have anymore young people staying in the hotel! The average age is definitely in the retirement bracket and at times had the feeling of a home for the retired. However, I wouldn’t let this put you off as the hotel is so well situated close to Bardolino which is a fabulous town.

We had wanted to visit Lake Garda for years. So 40th anniversary , let’s go. We were very excited as it sounded perfect. Ok so a few things which had we known in advance we would probably still have booked. Negatives No beautiful roof terrace just wasn’t available- gutted! We didn’t complain as staff were so nice and didn’t want to cause an issue as nothing that could be done. Beach not a beach( my opinion) algae covered slippery steps down to lake then large cobble pebbled area about a foot wide ow ow ! I swam and the water was lovely but my husband didn’t venture in due to a a bad lower back and was worried about slipping on steps and uneven surface, such a shame. Not hotels fault of course. Didn’t feel hotel really came up to 4 star standard given £1700 for a weeks stay however lovely staff did help make up for it and quirkyness of the place was quite endearing. Woken up at 1.30am on our second night with owner/manager (possibly) announcing very loudly that amongst other things ‘we have been here for 19 years’ very interesting but not at 1.30am. Positives Already mentioned lovely staff, remembered room number when ordering drinks although that could be cos we ordered so many ! View of lake from room and terrace wonderful. Very clean A bottle of good wine only €17 pretty good for hotel on lake. Bardolino just wonderful and food not as expensive as we were told. Be careful of smokers when eating if you are averse to this. Loved the swans and ducks on lake they were lovely and came so close. Sunset breathtaking Full moon on 15th July stunning , couldn’t find the full moon party in Bardolino , sob ! Breakfast more than adequate for us. Coffee lovely. Snack bar pizza yummy, they even put extra veggies on ours! I taught the barman to make an Amaretto Sours and they just got better and better, he learnt very quickly, more lemon, more lemon! Sun beds a plenty private hotel area right by lake with drinks service. Able to leave towels on beds whilst going for stroll into town at lunch time , Lemonchello Spritz delicious. I could go on but you prob not even read this far. I actually feel guilty putting the negatives now.

We had a wonderful last-minute stay at Maison Me. We stayed for two nights - giving us two days enjoying the area with a day in Verona on our return. Stylish and modern hotel with a high-quality finish - not style over substance like many new hotels can fall into the trap of. It was also a refreshing change from the more traditional style of many other properties nearby. Incredible views of the lake from the bed- see attached image. Spacious shower and balcony and a sauna too - although we didn’t use this given the gorgeous weather. Owner very friendly and accommodating, he drove us back to Verona on our departure and was a fountain of knowledge on the local area. Location was perfect - 5 mins walk along the river to the centre with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops and an easy 45 min transfer from Verona airport, which we arranged through the hotel. After much deliberation about where to visit, it was the perfect base to enjoy Lake Garda for our anniversary and child-free short break.

Just returned from our trip to the Aqualux hotel which was booked through TUI for the special occasion of my wife’s 40th and my eldest sons who is due to turn 21 in September. We arrived on the early flight from Manchester to the hotel about 11 am. We were greeted with great warmth by Valentina and had a nice glass of Prosecco before heading into town for a look around and some lunch. The hotel took my mobile number should the room become available before the 3 pm check in time which was a nice touch. We returned at 14:45 and luckily the room was made available for us, however on entering the room I thought there must have been a mistake as it was quite small. As our two boys 20 and 13 were with us I had thought we had a family room which was a separate bedroom with a living area but this was not the case. We had paid a lot of money and didn’t think the room justified the price paid. I must admit I was rather deflating to see my wife and kids so disappointed which meant I needed to act on it. I went back down to reception and explained to one of the staff my situation. I asked if there was any alternative solutions to the room we had as I had put it on my requests through TUI for a pool facing room and explained about the special occasion birthdays we were celebrating. This information clearly had not reached the hotel. I have to say that Valentina in reception was fantastic about it. She said to me that she will help me sort something out. She did say that I should speak with TUI also to explain the situation which I did. Speaking with TUI did not get me anywhere they said that I had booked that room and that was that. I had booked it online though I honestly thought I’d booked a family room so the mistake was partly mine but they just didn’t want to help out in any way. They said they would speak to the hotel but I didn’t hold much hope in all honestly. I returned to reception and Valentina had finished her shift but had passed all of the information over to Alessia who said she would do her best to try and find the best solution for my family. I asked what types of room she had available to suit the money we had paid. She explained that unfortunately they had no family rooms available though there was a garden suite available. She explained that there would be a surcharge for the upgrade but would do her best to make it reasonable. She said how much and I asked to see the room to make sure I was happy before committing to it. My wife was in the other room at this point wondering what the hell was going on !! . The guy in reception ( forgot his name) showed me the room and it was amazing . I had made my mind up I was going to pay the extra to secure the room . On returning to the reception Alessia was ready waiting though as I was speaking I believe it was the manager ( I think Sara ?) pulled her to the back office for a chat. At this point I thought the room I had just booked had been double booked or something so was fearing the worse. Wh

We stayed in the Du Lac, Bardolino from 21 to 28 Sept 2019 having stayed here previously 2 yrs ago - this is the one and only time we have ever returned to a resort and hotel - we prefer to go somewhere different every holiday but we loved this place so much and also the hotel that we broke with tradition and returned here this yr. For location and standard of service this hotel cannot be beaten. The staff are hardworking, efficient, friendly, courteous and professional at all times. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom was modern and of a good standard. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature just right. We had a side view of the lake from our large balcony which was lovely to sit out on with a drink - just to watch the world go by and relax . For all the hotel is situated quite near a main rd there wasn't any prob with noise. Directly opposite the hotel is a large supermarket so perfect for drinks and snacks for the bedroom, plus any other items needed. There was a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cool and loads of storage space for our clothes and possessions. Breakfast consisted of a plentiful buffet with lots of choice (both hot and cold) and def something to suit all palates - there were several cakes, multiple fruit and juice choices, eggs, bacon, a juicer if you preferred to make your own juice and even bubbly. Likewise the evening meal was both delicious and plentiful and always 4 choices - plus a welcome salad buffet if we felt the need but often the other courses were more than sufficient. Drinks were reasonably priced and the waiting staff courteous, helpful and provided a great service. We always looked forward to our evening meals and never felt the need to eat out on an evening such was the high standard of cuisine on offer. The pool area is shared with the Belle Vue hotel next door and is partially covered so suitable for cold weather and finer days. It was never very busy whilst we were at the hotel which was a bonus as far as I was concerned and could get a decent swim. There was also an area described as a 'private beach' which to me was just a pebbled area within the hotel grounds with sun loungers on - I would not have classed it as a beach as there was a hedge along the bottom which separated it from a road and footpath before the lake edge so you could not have gone for a paddle in the lake directly from this area but it was pleasant enough and very private for relaxing The location of the hotel was approx. 10 mins walk out of the main area of Bardolino where the ferry terminal, shops, cafes and bars are situated. The path/boardwalk along to this area was via the back gate of the hotel and along the side of the lake so very pleasant for a stroll. Along the main rd at the front of the hotel it was approx. 10 mins walk to the tourist info centre and bus station to catch a local bus. We used both local bus and ferry services as well as organised tour to Milan. The

The staff help make this hotel what it is, Both Francesca and Sara were very helpful, We paid just under £1,000 for 1 week at the hotel and I must admit I expected more. The room was quite small with a very small balcony. The continental breakfast.was very good but the hot food offering was very basic. It needs to have another coffee machine installed as the queue was quite long sometimes and it is situated by the door to the breakfast room which causes problems with people coming into and leaving the room. The grounds are lovely and the swimming pool is great.plus there are loads of sunbeds. I have seen reviews saying the hotel is a 5 -10 minute walk from the centre of Bardolino. They must have run there to get there in that time!!, It is at least a 20 minute walk and part of that is along a very busy main road. We tended to walk to the Lake in the morning and walk back but we got a taxi there and back in the evenings which was a reasonable 10 euros each way. Sara was very helpful in organising the taxis for us. We found Bardolino Taxi's really good but we were let down a couple of times by their usual taxi driver Luciano who just didn't turn up at the agreed time with no explanation. So overall, if you want a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff with nice grounds, this could be for you. You just need to know that it is a 20 minute walk into Bardolino centre!

Just got back from a 2 night stay at this B&B, which is slap bang in the middle of Bardolino but on street that enjoyed less footfall from the busier surrounding streets. (pic of street added). We were welcomed by Fabio (owner) who was friendly and sorted us out with a coffee as he did the usual introduction. He was a top guy and keen to engage with guests without being imposing. We had a budget room meaning there was no view from the building as it’s old and backed onto equally old buildings, there were shutters to let in fresh air all the same and a small roof terrace which guests were welcome to use. Our room was stylish and comfortable with the usual AC, en suite with a good powerful shower. Well stocked mini bar if that’s your thing but no coffee making facilities but there is plenty of options nearby. Breakfast was a generous continental affair with staff on hand to fill you up on coffee, the area was good to socialise with other travellers. Fabio has a nearby underground car park which is about 5 minutes walk from the property on the main drag, think it was 10€ a night. For the price, level of comfort and warm welcome we were very happy with are time at Bardoliners! Garda was a 2 mile walk along the shore and it was a scenic 30 drive to Mount Baldo Cable Car which was brilliant in the equally scenic Melcescine, with a lovely castle surrounded by small winding streets.

The hotel arranges free transport to and from the airport on bookings of 4 days or over. This is a real bonus because the cost is normally 50 euros each way. (The taxis in this area are over-priced but luckily there is a reasonable bus service to Verona). The hotel is set in beautiful gardens, across the road from the lake. (A well-made path allows walks as far as Lazise in one direction and Garda in the other. The pretty town of Bardolino, with many shops, restaurants and a Christmas market, is a twenty-minute stroll away. The hotel also hires normal and e-bikes for cycling these paths which we did on Christmas Day to Garda). We were greeted with courtesy by Reception on arrival and quickly shown to our room. This was in the main building, with a balcony and mountain view. It and the bathroom were spacious, well-furnished, quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable. There is free tea and coffee, and a charged mini bar. We are vegetarian and the hotel provides a fantastic breakfast with many different options, including wholemeal croissants, organic cereals, and rice, soya and almond milk. (There is also salmon, ham from the bone and a bucket of sparkling rose wine for those inclined!). In the evening we had access to the mainly vegan Ayurvedic menu which had some imaginative dishes. The spa facilities were superb and included a well-equipped and spacious gym, an indoor pool, 6 thermal hydro-massage pools and three saunas. Lifts from the rooms provide direct access to the facilities and dressing gowns and slippers are provided. There are also many changing rooms and lockers. There was music in the bar almost every evening and the standard was surprisingly high. It included jazz, soul, funk, and pop and rock covers. Musicians included the excellent De Cousins, and Andrea Pimazzoli and Riccardo Dolci. Unfortunately, the entertainment was rather spoiled one night by children being allowed to run around wildly in front of the musicians. This was both distracting and disrespectful to the musicians, and annoying for the adult audience. The children in the hotel were otherwise supervised and well-behaved. The staff generally were very welcoming and helpful, particularly Natalie (Reception), Rosalina (Maitre D’) and Roberto (waiter). Rosalina and Roberto ensured our alternative menus were present on the table every night. Natalie researched and printed bus timetables for us; and when I lost my bag she arranged for the hotel shuttle to drive us to the police station and back. The driver went in and explained the situation for us! (My bag was not there but on further investigation we found it had been handed in intact at a nearby restaurant!). So impressive! The hotel is generally very good value for money, although we did find the drinks expensive. Overall, we had a fantastic Christmas holiday and I would highly recommend it.
