I'd give the hotel a 5 star rating if it weren't for the horrific experience checking in. The woman was beyond rude-sarcastic, insulting, demeaning. I have never (thank goodness) been treated in such an unacceptable manner. I got the card for the GM's email and sent in detail my experience. To date-I've not heard a response. If it was received, another layer of disappointment. If it went to spam that's understandable. I'm happy to relate this to management-if they're interested. The hotel itself is a bit dated. But we found it clean, comfortable and quiet. The evening social was a complete dinner-meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, rolls and wine or beer. It was delicious! Breakfast the next morning was good as well. Freshly made breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, etc. I commend the hardworking kitchen staff for their work. Other reviews mentioned a negative location. We did not find this to be true. A few miles from the freeway and off a main road. We felt as safe as one can be. Again-the rating would be much higher if not for one individual who made quite a negative impression. Sad.

The cost performance is really high! This is the cheapest hotel to stay in this trip to the United States. Because I feel good about the Super 8 outside Huangshi West Gate, I also chose Super 8 here.

They don’t tell you over the phone they charge a deposit of 100 a night. Stay 3 nights 300. Broken windows in rooms like 108. They don’t tell you on the phone heater for hot tub and pool Broken. Don’t answer Phone at front at all it’s silenced. Will not bring anything to your room! It’s dirty and covered in stains no one vacuums the carpets. Your not allowed to take breakfast to room and eat if anyones not feeling well in a covid environment and the staff is beyond lazy. Absolutely not like the usual Raddison. Stay at the Hilton instead it’s a dive total dirty nasty place with homeless in the parking lot and trash in the little alley behind the building. And as you can see there’s cockroaches!

Hotel facilities and environment are ok. However, after checking out, the credit card was inexplicably deducted. After communication, the hotel admitted that it was a misoperation, and then it continued to deduct, up to five times before and after. There are three more refunds after leaving for more than a week, and coordination is continuing.

Hear is a copy of my email to the manager January 15, 2022 that has not been answered to date “With regards to our stay for one night on Friday, January 14, 2022. We have several concerns about your hotel. Upon check-in we saw on your doors that all patrons entering your establishment must wear masks in public areas. We immediately witnessed one couple who were returning to their room walk straight through the lobby to the elevator and up to and back from their third floor room maskless. Not one staff member asked or approached them to put on a mask. To continue on that I just went down at 830 to get a coffee and three young adults with one child exited the elevator with no masks in sight. It looked as if they had just checked in. This is the laxist hotel in the three we have stayed in on our trip. MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN PUBLIC PLACES your sign says. Secondly, we don’t understand why when occupancy rates are so low you put guests at the back of your property regardless of how the reservation is booked. We booked through Expedia (to redeem credit card points) but would gather if we booked through my IHG membership we would have received a better room facing the front of the property. At the very least a disclosure should be given that there will be train and loud horn blast noise during the night so guests can decide to change rooms then and there. A train went by at 1045 pm and again at 300 am. We may have heard it at the front but not to the same loudness as at the back. It was dreadful. Thirdly, at approximately 230am in the morning an obnoxious guest in a red pick-up truck started their vehicle and sat there for ten minutes blasting extremely loud music that woke us from our sleep. (This is the same vehicle that checked in around 600 pm and played the same loud music for all to hear while they unpacked and entered the building….)They then left and returned some 15 minutes later and the same thing….I called the front desk on both occasions to report but nobody picked up the call. Then at about 430 am the owners of the same vehicle kept unlocking and locking their vehicle with their fob for another annoying 10-15 minutes….This all occurred in YOUR parking lot. Where is your sense of responsibility you owe your guests? May I also suggest that your coffee station be made available 24/7 outside the breakfast area by the front desk. It wasn’t a COvID distancing friendly time. Too many people bunched around. For those who just want a coffee having to line up in the breakfast line and wait until the end to get coffee is wrong. This was the worst night’s sleep we have ever had in a hotel. We feel exhausted for our drive to Palm Springs and feel we wasted points on this uncomfortable experience. We await your reply. Room 330

I have stayed with ESA in several locations and enjoyed my stay. At this location, I felt that my privacy was violated and I was not treated respectfully as a customer. I was charged a $100 deposit at check in that was not returned to me and my bank debit card was not accepted for payment. I was asked to pay cash throughout my stay. The room had carpet and laminate flooring damage at check in. People entered my room while I was away and management reported to me that my room was not clean to their standards.I ended my stay early as I was uncomfortable extending my stay there. I left the room clean. I will not visit this location in the future and I would not recommend to other travelers.

First room on 6/20/22 rm# 230 was terrible I already up loaded pictures (dark...loud... scary... dirty)... I asked to be switched to another room... and the front desk clerk said there aren't anymore available rooms left... so I tried to check out the same day that I checked in 6/20/22.... then the man at the front desk told me they have a room available all of a sudden! So I stayed and rm #221 ways much better but I did check out the next day early morning 6/21/22 but I was paid up until 6/24/22.... today is 7/1/22 and I have yet to be refunded my money for the rest of the days back... they only refunded me my $100 deposit... I am a traveling nurse and I felt so much bias to where I would never recommend or stay there ever again... I ended up staying at another wyndham establishment which was basic but way better! I called for a whole week straight to ask for my refund that I paid for the whole week... they told me I had to talk to a manager but none has ever called me back or wasn't in when I called!

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. We stayed for one night with our small dog and this hotel is very pet friendly and there are a variety of fast food restaurants and gas stations in the immediate area. The room was comfortable and clean, and featured both a microwave and mini fridge, which came in handy and the free breakfast featured a variety of both hot and cold options. The 24-hour coffee station was a nice feature too. The only real issue we encountered was that it was really easy to hear our neighbors when they're talking in their rooms and there is a lot of road noise because there are busy streets nearby. I would suggest you bring your noise cancelling headphones or make use of the heating/cooling system to help cover the noise if you're not a heavy sleeper. The beds are super comfy and if the noise doesn't bother you, you'll wake up refreshed. For such a pet friendly hotel at a budget price, I'm surprised at how clean the property is throughout. They've got a great team who seems to care about what they do. The bathroom lighting was great for those of us who wear makeup! If you're staying more than one night, you will need fresh towels every day because there isn't really any place to hang them in between use. But the fixtures are modern and clean and the water pressure was just fine. I would stay here again if I were driving through on a road trip and needed a spot to crash for a day or two.

We stayed here on a planned trip home. We stayed using our Holiday Inn Rewards. As usual, we were given a less desirable room. The room was on the 2nd floor and the window overlooked a walled-off rooftop that contained A/C units. There was no view at all. The lamp next to the couch didn't turn on. I finally figured out that it was unplugged and pulled out the couch to access the outlet. And when we went to use the refrigerator, it was warm and not working. We were very disappointed in the room and it was by far the worst HIE we stayed at on this trip. We stayed at 7 properties total. The property is under remodel, but we were told that the rooms were all completed. The bathroom was modern, and the pillows were perfect. The breakfast did include a Belgium waffle maker which is rare at any HIE anymore. So, I did enjoy that. And the girl at the front desk was super friendly. The final observation we made was that the pictures shown of the hotel do not show the spiked fence that surrounds the property. They have padlocked the 2 pedestrian gate entries off of the sidewalk along with one of the car entries. There is only one way to get into the property. It made us wonder about the safety of the area. Also, there is no crosswalk to get across to the other side of a 4-lane highway which is where most of the entertainment and restaurants are. You need to walk a block in either direction to access a light to safely cross.

This review happen during CoVID (Feb 2022). My wife and I where visiting friends in Bakersfield. We spent one night. The hotel is located right off the freeway in an industrial area with other hotels located around it. The area around the hotel has a lot of fast food restaurants and some sit downs. But with that said we had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The check in process was quick and easy. They have a little shop next to concierge where you can but chips, soda, and candy. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was open (Happy to see it was open). The room was nice, clean, and with plenty of room. For one night in Bakersfield it was perfect. We would stay here again.

I chose this property over the newer one near the airport because of the great and better reviews it received here on TripAdvisor. Although in a semi-industrial area I was pleasantly surprised that the grounds were very nice and lush and I felt safe. The front desk personnel were friendly and answered my numerous questions with a smile. I got a two queen bed room on the 4th floor. Everything was clean (there were some dust bunnies and an out of reach water bottle under one of the beds of which I notified the housekeeping staff as I was leaving). It was just a few blocks off of I-99 and there were several eating options available nearby. There is also a Costco three blocks away. I ordered dinner take out from the nearby La Imperial Taqueria - it was great. There is a nice indoor pool, an exercise room and an in house bar and restaurant where they served full service breakfast which I enjoyed before I left (not complimentary - but there were several delicious options). When my travels take me this way again I will choose to stay here. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Everything good, room clean, bedding set and towels still look new. The room's price ok and include breakfast for 6 persons. Near Gas station and mini market. Worthy for families. Will be here again 😊

Do not be fooled by the location of this motel. It’s not In the best location and doesn’t look like much from the Outside. It’s newly remodeled and all room a face the pool inside. The price is great and it’s secure. I am a four star hotel person and I enjoyed This quaint motel. Reminds me of a. 80’s Hollywood apartment. The staff is EXTREMELY EXCELLENT This isn’t in the best side of Bakersfield there are homeless people across the street that loiter. They are by the hotel and the owner works hard to keep this hotel in tip top shape. We stayed in 3 different hotels because of the state wrestling event. All three + star hotels were booked. You guys all got screwed staying at the Marriott paying 300 a night. This place was pretty cool.

Hotel facilities and environment are ok. However, after checking out, the credit card was inexplicably deducted. After communication, the hotel admitted that it was a misoperation, and then it continued to deduct, up to five times before and after. There are three more refunds after leaving for more than a week, and coordination is continuing.

Booked through Hotwire for an overnight travel stop and got a really low price. The TA reviews had me worried BUT my stay was just fine. There was a welcoming staff in the nice lobby, secure parking, and a comfortable bed. The room could use deep cleaning, paint, and replacement of some plumbing fixtures but there were no bugs. The blankets are skimpy — I pulled the one off the 2nd bed. My big tip to getting a good night’s sleep at hotels is: BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW. This is not a resort get-away but it works as a safe place to overnight.

I booked a two-night stay through TripAdvisor at the Hampton Inn when I arrived before I checked in, I looked on my phone dispatch app and noticed that the two-day stay had been changed to a five hour stay the staff at Hampton Inn accommodated and adjusted my stay to reflect the time that I had before loading the truck, I explained this to the staff at TripAdvisor and they also were very professional and adjusted my stay from a two night into a one night stay, and refunded back to my account in about twelve hours. I will book again through TripAdvisor, very people orientated. Adolph,W.

I am throughly disappointed in this location besides the room smelling like celery the rooms are not advertised correctly. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was because of the mini kitchen. The website states that the rooms have a fully stocked kitchen. Welp....they don't. Scoured the entire room for a pan to cook some eggs in the morning because we would need to leave prior to breakfast being served downstairs just to find NO pans whatsoever. We inquired about getting a pan only to be told they don't have any.....at all....in any of the rooms. How the is this a fully stocked kitchen. I have silverware, dishes, glasses, spatulas, and storage containers, but not one single pan to cook anything in. So if cooking is important to you to help save a few dollars, stay somewhere else. I will be.

Motel 6 is reliable. They really are the same no matter the city in the USA. Affordable and meets the needs for a quick overnight stay. Beds comfortable and there was AC. Lobby is locked during night time so you speak through plexiglass and a drawer. Safety first - area is questionable according to other reviews. I didn’t feel unsafe and a solo female, however, the room’s lock could use a second look. There were insects but I heard this is common during the warm weather. No bed bugs for those concerned. There was a box outside for trash that had an ant party and there was a swarm of bees near the stairs. However the motel could get rid of these issues rather easily. Parking was available and my car was fine parked there through the night.

Please bear in mind there is no food no breakfast no services of any kind as far as I can tell. Except for perhaps the gym and Business center maybe. If you want water they will charge you. And even though some places will claim that they have breakfast there is literally nothing. You can get a cheaper hotel with better services. Also the building was noisy it is lacking soundproofing. Also the staff is not wearing masks so if you consider masks a reasonable thing a business could do to make you feel like they're trying to keep you a little bit safer, this is not the place for you.

Good breakfast, typical American breakfast. We arrived late, and the breakfast allowed us to continue eating for a while. The hotel is a motel with the advantage of free parking, close to the costa, gas station and several fast food restaurants. I came out of Death Valley and went to San Francisco to find a place to rest.

Traffic is really convenient for self-driving. Safety is also good, the environment is clean. The open-plan twin bed is practical and affordable for parent-child family homes. There are coffee and small tarts and biscuits on the palate. For mainlanders who are not used to Western food, it is best to bring an electric kettle to instant noodles and eat comfortably. With kitchen facilities, it is very affordable to bring your own kitchen utensils, it is recommended
