|3.76km from city centerA++++ Pete and his stall are amazing, A friendly smile in the afternoon from his staff, Pete walked around the hotel multiple times a day and when I asked him about that he told me he wanted make sure there are no issues with the outside of the property and it is clean, room did not smell like deodorizer the bathroom was clean, the shower was clean and the best part it did not need any maintenance, I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, I did not like the waffle maker instead of a one size waffle it makes three little ones which is a little hard to maneuver on the plate and can get messy when using a plastic nife/fork, I would recommend sausage patties and sliced cheese every day as I could’ve put them in between the two little waffles and made a breakfast waffle sausage sandwich, I will be back next year to visit the Wright, Patterson Air Force Base, and the Kil-Kare Drag*****,

|2.96km from city centerI was here for a wedding and the hotel was full. I arrived at 3pm and the front desk clerk Greg said that my room was not ready. He invited me have seat in the lobby and offered me a complimentary non-alcoholic drink from their convenience store in the lobby. I told him that I am ok, but thank you. He said he would let me know when my room was ready. As he was getting off his shift, he came over to me and told me that my room was available and ready for check in. My room was spotless. Bed was really comfortable. Very Quiet even though they were full. The next morning I came down to check out and grab a quick breakfast - here is how it unfolded: Just an FYI to fellow travelers. Breakfast is not included at Courtyards unless you book a breakfast package through the Marriott website. If you are an Elite member, as Greg explained, upon check in they are offered that option or points. He was so kind and understanding that I had a long drive to Scranton that he had the kitchen staff make me a bagel with butter so I did not have to stop for breakfast. He even remembered me! That is true customer service!

|3.26km from city centerOn the positive, the rooms are fine and the decor is kind of a quirky mid-century modern. The location was super easy to get to and reasonably priced. We found the front desk staff very friendly and helpful. That said, this is a noisy location. Running the fan on constant helps a bit. Ask for a room facing the back. The bed was very soft and we kept rolling to the middle of the bed. The pillows are soft enough to feel like they are trying to smother you. Fine to stay for a night but nothing spectacular.

We had a perfect night sleep on a very comfortable bed. The compimentary breakfast was a nice mixure of hot and cold items that we really enjoyed. I highly recommend this hotel and will surely use ot again .

|2.41km from city centerI booked this 1 King room for 2 nights on business and they recommended this hotel. Check in was very easy, staff was very accommodating and helpful. The whole vibe of the hotel is very clean and professional. The room was quite spacious with a large desk area couch with a portable table which was nice to work at. It had a nice view of the campus and was overall very quiet. Not a lot of people there in mid-October even though it seemed like a lot of cars in the parking lot. The room felt modern, all furniture in good condition with all the basic amenities of coffee maker, etc. There was plenty of room for storing clothing and bags. The bed was soft and comfy with clean linens and a top comforter. Plenty of pillows to choose from too. Also nice they had end tables on each side of the bed. The desk area was very large with plenty of room to work and all the needed connections. I took a Zoom call here and the wifi was struggling to keep up at times. Otherwise it was decent. Bathroom was clean — had a stand up shower with the normal toiletries and plenty of large towels. The counter was large with plenty of room for my items. The whole room was very clean, you'd have no issue walking around and worrying about your socks getting gross. The overall area felt very safe and was close to a walking path. Within 5-10 minute drive you have plenty of shopping and restaurants. The indoor pool area was great, especially as no one was there. It was clean and had enough chairs and tables to lounge by. Temperature was just right. The spa was shut down at the time. Check out was easy and the staff was great the entire time. Always available to help.

The food area was completely messy, dirty dishes not collected, the food was quite frankly - terrible. Plus, I never got my Diamond food credit. The king suite with separate sleeping are not private. The double doors do not exist between the room and living area. The sheets and pillows for the couch m/sleeper sofa are kept downstairs - I had to go retrieve them. The front desk person was swamped, so it took awhile. The elevators are very far away from the rooms. Very strange. The price was great though! So I guess you get what you pay for.

I couldn't do simple things like read the news or search Google check email or do upkeep on a game I play. Terrible wifi is a deal breaker for me no matter how nice the rooms. They do have wifi they say is for streaming if you want to pay $4.95 a day for it but if they're regular wifi is that bad I'd be leary. I've stayed at a lot of motels and that's the only one I've ever seen wanting to charge for wifi.

The room was well-formed, and both beds were spacious. There was a slight smell when I went in. I opened the door for a few minutes and added some air conditioning. Breakfast variety can also be satisfied, with oatmeal, several eggs, bread, sausages, coffee drinks and tea, very good! Price is quite good

|3.01km from city centerOn a positive note, the room at this Hampton Inn was totally updated and was the nicest Hampton we have ever been at. Everything was very comfortable ... bed, bedding, bathroom, etc. etc. and we loved the decor. We had booked this hotel a few days ahead of time, and upon reading the reviews, I noticed that the noise from I-75 was very loud in the rooms facing in that direction, so I had requested a room on the top floor and away from the busy highway, and felt that this would solve the problem. When we arrived at the hotel around 5, we were told that there were no King rooms left on the top floor, so that was fine. When we arrived at our room, we found that our room was facing and very close to I-75, regardless of our request a few days before. The noise went on all night long. I spoke to a nice lady the next morning at the front desk, and she said that just because we requested a certain room type and location, there is no guarantee that we will get it. As lovely as this hotel was, we probably would not stay there again unless we could be guaranteed a room away from I-75. There seemed to be a lot of places to eat around that area, so that is handy.

|0.75km from city centerThoroughly enjoyed our stay here. A downtown location can be tough, but they did a good job here. Good location, easy to find, and a couple of restaurants and bars nearby. Our front desk experience was good both on check-in and check-out. Very friendly staff. We were placed in room 618 and it was very quiet. The room was clean, carpeted, and very tidy. While the pull-out couch was not very comfortable, it did have a bit of a unique design where one end was kind of like a chair. The room had ample plugs and USB ports, the blackout curtains were decent, and the bed very comfortable. Due to the configuration of the room, there were two flat screens, and the desk as a movable table that could be repositioned. Bathroom was very clean and we had more than enough towels. The coffee station was decent and the small refrigerator was a nice plus. Morning breakfast was standard fare - eggs, sausage patties, waffles, some cereals, yogurt, and fruit (though the bananas were very, very green, difficult to gauge, but that was very under-ripe.) The only downside is that the parking is not directly attached to the hotel and it is an outside walk of about 100 feet to get from the garage to the hotel.

But compared to the Hampton Inn in Huber Heights, it is a much better value at a much lower price. And there’s a bonus for staying there — Carriage Hills Trails (a Metro Park) is only one mile north off of Brandt Pike!Perfect for a morning walk before hitting the interstate again! See pics. And a Walmart across the street if you forgot anything.

Loved having the stove top and a full size fridge! ***MOST IMPORTANTLY*** In the rush to pack all of my equipment and gear for work, I forgot my personal $3000 camera hidden behind the bedroom TV. After arriving back in KY and realizing what had happened, I contacted the hotel. Thankfully, one of the house keepers had turned it into the GM. I forever grateful to the person that did the right thing with an item that had zero chance of being tracked down. The front desk receptionist who took my call was very helpful and I set up a day to pick up my item in place of having it shipped. In the end, I could not have had a better experience!

|3.61km from city centerWe have had great experiences with this chain and how they treat veterans. So when in Centerville for some antiquing we decided to stay here. First off, all the staff we encountered were first rate, friendly, professional, and focused on providing great service. The hotel itself however is in serious need of repair and renovations. First clue was the alarm at the front desk that kept going off and apparently has been needing repair for over a month. Our room reeked of onions and the bathtub/shower floor was very worn/ stained a grayish color. There were no USB charging ports in the room except one on the TV which only worked if TV was on. Also no electrical outlets in the bathroom for hair dryers, shavers, etc. Mattress was way to soft, more like an understuffed feather pillow which provided no support for back. Overall cleanliness of room needed improvement as well. We even found items on floor from previous guests which vacuuming would have picked up. Until the chain decides to put necessary funding in for repairs and renovations we discourage people from staying here despite great staff.

|3.05km from city centerI stayed here because it was on my route, and it accepts pets. For the price point, this place is a dump. I waited 10 minutes in the lobby by myself waiting to check in (it was 6 pm, so not late.) No clerk, no one around. I rang the bell at the desk a couple times. No response. When the front desk clerk finally showed up, she told me she was “busy in the back.” ? The entire place is old and needs major updating. Looks nice from the outside, but is old and run down inside. The elevator and the room are small and dark. The elevator smelled like **** (a lot), and the room stunk like stale grease. I’m assuming the person before me ate from the Mc Donalds next door and the smell hadn’t dissipated. Luckily I had air freshener spray in my car. There was a microwave and a refrigerator in the room, but the refrigerator was completely turned off. My computer wouldn’t connect to the wifi, so I was stuck with only my phone, but it was only an overnight stay. I also moved the chair in the room to look behind it trying to find where my inquisitive cat had decided to hide, and there was a used towel behind the chair. They obviously don’t move the furniture to clean so who knows how long that’s been there? I guess the bottom line is that you stay in a hotel for a bed and a shower, and both of those were acceptable, so that's worth a star. The water was hot too. I found this place lacking though compared to other places that cost the same. There's a breakfast buffet included, but it was very mediocre. Nothing special, and not well stocked. I didn't get a receipt for my stay either. I asked for one when I checked out, but the person at the desk didn't seem to know how to print one, and when she asked someone else, that person didn't seem interested in getting up to print it and pretty much ignored the request. I left without the receipt, but I don't know why it wasn't put under the door during the night like pretty much every other hotel does? I will stick with Holiday Inn Express for short stays like this in the future, as those hotels seem to be newer and a lot more consistent quality-wise. I would never stay here again, but then again, I hope I'm never required to visit Dayton, Ohio again either.
