Hotel in an optimal location. About 15 minutes walk from the center with normal steps, and comfortable to access the motorway. Rooms with simple furnishings but still with all the comforts. Also equipped with private parking, which during our stay was included in the price of the room . It is clear that a recent renovation of both rooms and common parts (halls, breakfast rooms, bars, etc...) has made the hotel modern and elegant. The hotel staff, Vincenzo Botta, has always made available for any needs and has always been able to demonstrate the level of the situation. As well as the reception staff, always careful, educated and kind. As regards breakfast, it is a continental type of excellent quality and variety. I would certainly advise him who comes to Lucca for a few days of holiday or for work.

The B&B is ideally situated just outside the walls of the old city, making access very easy and quick. The owner and staff were very accommodating and fully explained the facilities and amenities upon our arrival. Although the rooms are an the 2nd floor of the building, there is a lift which is easily big enough for 2 people + suitcases. The room was large, with air con and plenty of storage space. The owner allowed unlimited access and use of the kitchen area, which was well furnished and gave us the option to house items in the fridge or use of a microwave or hob. There were even snacks and juice/beers that were left in the fridge for residents to take, which my wife and I thought was a lovely added benefit. There is parking within the property, but you may need to check on its availability during peak season for obvious reasons. In summary, a lovely well managed and looked after property which we felt was well worth the money. We would happily stay here again.

Excellent stay. Great location on the square with a carousel and ice skating rink outside our window. Nice rooms (we stayed in #102). BIG breakfast and fantastic dinner at their in-house restaurant ”Legacy”. BTW: Lucca is a great base camp for day trips to Cinque Terre and Pisa. Easy trains to navigate. Easy walk from train to hotel. Special shout outs to Manuel (front desk), Mare, William, Maria Pia, Michela, Venessa, Alessandro, Azzure, and Ricardo (Dinner host in lobby - we had pumpkin ravioli and local Frantoiano soup). Special, special thanks to Manuel for making our (4) nights stay wonderful by answering all our questions and giving some great travel advice too. Be sure to try the lobby restaurant ”Legacy” one evening. 5/5 stars

Hotel La Luna was just a lovely place to stay whilst we explored Lucca and the surrounding area. It was very well located for the Centro Storico, only a couple of hundred yards from the Piazza Antifeatro. The rooms were very comfortable (especially the beds) and were always kept clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the hotel and they were very attentive to guests. There was a good range of foods available for breakfast each day from pastries and cakes to boiled eggs to the traditional cooked meats and cheeses. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Nice an typical hotel in the middle of the city. It has several rooms even in different buildings but very close each others. The rooms are clean and big with old style, feeling is similar to the rest of the city. The staff is so gentle, they try to fix anything you need (rooms a little bit in advance, changing somewhere if your room is not available anymore after check out). There is also internal parking space (as extra). Is 300m driving, just be sure your car is not too big. To park they give you a remote to open a small gate. Breakfast is nice and Italian. From here are 2min waking away from the cathedral and close to the center of Lucca

I asked Stefano a lot of questions as I went to my mother's company with health problems and my intention is to make her happy ..... My feelings were right. It is also thanks to Stefano in Brunella and all the staff including the mythical dog Zigghy and the fabulous cat I managed to make her happy. We asked whether it was possible to stay one day more and fortunately they managed to satisfy us. Besides the excellent room, cleaning and fabulous breakfast, ... There is much more ... What makes this place a fabulous is : their professionality, gentleness, sympathy and simplicity ( you immediately perceive the love they have for their work and that they have to do with the work of the people. They do everything to make you feel good.) You really feel like home and super cocktailed . Respirate pure air immersed in a spectacular quietness. Family environment with careful and available staff, breakfast varies very different with possibilities for lactose-free products, cleaning is accurate, despite the proximity to the station the structure is silent. In our room we appreciated the necessary to make tea with cookies. The location and just outside the walls next to the station, you can reach all the interesting places on foot, but for those who do not like to walk a few dozens of meters the buses are going. The private parking is very interesting in front of the hotel. I hope I have the opportunity to come back.

Fantastic hotel, from the moment we arrived to our departure the service was impeccable. Upon arrival we were informed of the free happy hour(s) and snack time for my kids and the good news just kept on coming. Once we had checked in I turned round to retrieve my suitcases and they were already in my room. Alessandro, who worked on reception, was amazing, not only did he recommend where to eat he also telephoned the restaurant for reservations. I have to say that my favourite restaurant was Osteria Via Elisa. Alessandro was very approachable with a business and funny attitude, he is definitely a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are clean and spacious, there's a lovely terrace where we ate breakfast. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, the buffet caters for all tastes and diets, the waiters were polite, asked me every morning if I wanted a coffee. Bonus...hot tub was just what I needed after walking around Lucca all day, we reserved our time and spent an hour soaking and relaxing....just missed a glass of Prosecco! Also the hotel offers free bike hire which was great because we rode the length of the wall, its a shame that they didn't offer free bikes for kids but that is the only fault I can find for this hotel and then its only 4euros to hire bikes for kids around the corner. This hotel and its staff are 5 star quality, a gem of a hotel close to everything, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and didn't want to leave. Thank you.

In this living room I tried two out of three rooms: very large, spacious, equipped with everything, including coffee machine, boiler, caramels and a pleasant appetizer kit with potatoes and analcohol drink. We enjoyed it in the small garden furnished with tables and chairs, and impressed by small lamps and wires of sunlights. Then, by name and fact, the common bathroom and the private bathroom were well cleaned, provided with dispenser with shampoo, bathroom and even balsam. At the entrance a filtered water boiler always available to fill glasses and But the real girl in this place is the courtesy of Cristian, who provided us with photos with indications to reach the structure, photos to walk in the centre, information useful to dine out or for events in Lucca. In other words, very organized and always available for guests' requests. Interesting and comfortable self-checking! Recommended!!!! One note (Light is out of the walls): watch taxis if you have the train early morning: they don't accept bookings and We found no one available for arrival at the station 40 minutes earlier.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. It was without a doubt the best hotel of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip…everything from the lobby, location, staff, room size, breakfast buffet, wifi, bed....it was terrific. The website photos are indicative of the hotel, rooms etc. (look at the gallery and you will see photos of the buffet, rooms, common area etc). First, its in a great location in the old town. Half a block and you are in one of the main plazas. 5 min and you are on the main shopping street of Via Fillungo. The hotel is actually on a bit on the edge of the old town…shortly after you come through the main gate ….so it was VERY easy to drive to ..and drive out of..without getting lost on all the small streets (note: we used google maps and it was telling us to turn just as we got to the hotel..but we saw the hotel just a bit down the street in front of us) On leaving I asked the front desk the easiest way to get out and he said, turn left, then another left..then right…and we were then headed out the main gate of the city. Could not have been easier. The hotel is on a small plaza so easy to park in front of it to unload your luggage..and they have valet parking...for a fee. Front desk staff was super helpful throughout out stay. Our room was very modern, with a great bed, plenty of desk and other space, plenty of plugs, and a large bathroom with a big shower. Wifi was fine. Breakfast was by far the best of all the ones on our trip. Plenty of hot food items, many different pastries, cheesecake and other assorted baked items to choose from, smoked salmon, cold meats and cheeses, plenty of different fruits..and on and on. They also have a nice outdoor patio area on the plaza which made for a wonderful start to our day. Overall, I cannot think of any other hotel I would consider to stay in Lucca. This one has it all.

This place is a little gem. 10 minutes drive from Lucca and a wonderful base to see the sites around Tuscany. We stayed here for a week and got home yesterday. The staff are amazing a shout out to all the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and evening who we have chats and lots of laughter with they really are a credit to this place. The reception staff were all amazing also nothing was to much trouble always had a smile on their face. The room was lovely and big, beautiful bathroom and amazing windows with shutters. B&B in a very good position two steps from the Lucca walls,the rooms are clean and comfortable,(a big is very beautiful) good breakfast,the owner is kind and careful providing us with gluten free breakfast for my wife. Positive experience in everything if I had to go back to Lucca I would still stay here.
