      Went for iftaar dinner on 10 April 2022. Started out when they gave our table to the wrong people and we ended up waiting for the staff to get a new table for us. They put five dates and brought a plate of burnt disgusting samosas to break fast with. The food on the buffet was terrible, made with cheap ingredients, they couldnt even bother to add a bit of parsley for garnish. The prayer facilities was good, spacious and clean however the service from the dining room staff was terrible. The waitress was complaing with us because we took a jug of water to break our fast with and when we asked for spoons to eat the soup with.. She brought it in her hands and they were dirty, absolutely disgusting! We asked for butter once again brought in her hands. We finished a plate of food each paid R175 per person what a rip off! When we complained to the manager, she told us "shame" The restaurant has such potential, poor management, poor food from the chefs and cheap ingredients let this place down. Definitely won't be back there.

      Due to the recent Comair chaos our flight into Cpt was rescheduled and subsequently delayed by 6 hours on the day of departure. We arrived at the hotel at 2am with two exhausted little kids only to be told by the night duty check in staff that their system had us checking out later that same day. This was incorrect as we had booked for 2 days and had the reservation details to prove it. Unable to explain what the problem was and equally unable to resolve it, we were left waiting at reception while they tried to figure it out. We asked if we could at least get our children to bed as they were exhausted. They seemed unbothered that we had little children with us while they were sorting out their issues. My husband went down to resolve it that same morning. We were told that they would sort it out, not to worry, and that it was likely a system issue. My husband insisted that they resolve it that morning but they refused saying they would sort it out later. Later that day we went out and returned in the afternoon only to be told by the day staff that the night staff left a note instructing them to lock us out our room as there was an amount still to be paid. We were furious at the lack of communication and inefficiencies in this regard. The front office service was all round inefficient, inhospitable and clinical. We will unlikely book at this establishment again.

      It can be said that it is perfect, it is their winter, it belongs to the non-peak period of tourism, the RMB is only about 500. Booked a normal room, non-sea view or mountain view, so the room given is the side of the hotel, the room is very large and the balcony sees half of the mountain view to see the signal mountain half of the sea is the Atlantic Ocean. You can hear a lot of seagulls outside, like the British seaside style. You can see the sunset is very beautiful. You can walk to the beach at 200 meters in front and walk to the hiking trail at the foot of Lion Rock in 40 minutes. If you go next time, you will choose this hotel.

      I stayed six nights in Cape Town and was looking forward to spend my remaining three nights at a quite hotel outside the city. I liked the property photos online. In the morning I rented a car in the city and drove to the Mowbray property to drop off my luggage. Unfortunately I experienced some car mis-haps on the way. Miss Zilungile welcomed me at the Reception. She was very kind and showed empathy during my moment of distress with the damaged car. I asked if there is someone who is very familiar with cars as I wasn't sure what to do. Then I met Miss Maurren, Housekeeping Supervisor, with whom I discussed the tire damage. We both agreed it would be safest to exchange the car. Miss Zilungile helped me connect with the rental agency and I was going to the airport to get a new car. It was then, that Miss Maurren came with three of her team members, rug and spray in hand to remove the long black rubber mark I had on the white car as well. After a lot of rubbing, the car looked almost like new, if it weren't for the damaged tire. I was overwhelmed by the caring attitude of the employees. The room was absolutely lovely too, with a view of table mountain, but it was foremost the employees who made me feel very comfortable and at home. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

      The suite booked on Ctrip was told by the hotel that there was no room type at the time of check-in, and we gave us two standard connecting rooms of “more space”. When questioning why the room type was downgraded and why it was not notified in advance, the hotel manager was called Ctrip. There are no problems with the system. I contacted Ctrip that night, and under the communication of Ctrip and the hotel, we refunded 30% of the room rate, which is almost the difference between the standard room and the suite. The occupancy experience is poor.

The neighborhood is also rich, and the security issues are not bad. It is well known that law and order in South Africa is not abrupt. Ctrip reservations need to be booked in advance, otherwise the hotel will show unpaid, but Ctrip has shown payment ... Ctrip is better than Booking in terms of price, this is a must.

      So I suggested the hotel for a 21st birthday celebration, called made a booking and asked to be emailed the menu as I could not find it on the hotel website. Menu was never emailed to me but went any way. Confirmed when I got there if the pool is open as I had also asked when I called and was told it is open but wanted to confirm again before the girls celebrating came, the waitress said she will confirm. Waitress came back and said she confirmed and only people that will not be dinning are not allowed but if you will be dinning yes you can go to the pool. When the girls we ready for the pool the managers told them it is only for in-house guests haibo. Both managers came and told me this and the people I had confirmed with were now not on shift the one I asked on the phone denied that we even spoke about the pool. SO UNPROFESSIONAL that people working in the same hotel have different understanding of their working environment. There are many places we could've gone to if I was told in the 1st place that pool is only for in-house guests. Because I was now irate and not having it we were allowed in the pool. Other than that, the food was very good, the ambiance and the music was great. Will definitely visit again

      we stayed at this hotel for 7 nights while enjoying Cape Town....the room size was a bit small, but not a problem....the bathroom could have been larger, but there was both a tub and good size glass shower..the room was clean and had a coffee pot, but no frig....this is not a 5* hotel, but in my opinion it was just as good as any 5* hotel we have stayed in.....the staff is wonderful...extremely friendly and helpful...we didn't eat any meals there as we loved being able to walk to the V&A as well as Bree Street and DeWaterkant....you can walk to the V&A along quiet, scenic canals...the pool and the sun area are TINY...do not stay here if you are looking for a large outside pool and sundeck....for us, this hotel was perfect....thanks to all of the staff😀

      This is an Excellently ran hotel / guest house in a superb luxurious building located with epic views over camps bay and lions head. - if you’re looking for a hotel room with the best views in the world, it might just be this place. The staff are really lovely and provided a delicious breakfast to order every day, helped us book tours and kept our room comfy and spotlessly clean. Location is a good base for Cape Town - Ubers get you everywhere you need to go for a good price. Worth noting the pool is not heated and therefore now always warm enough to use. I loved the honesty bar and choice of wines - which we enjoyed in our room and in the hot tub!

It is a great place to watch the night view of Cape Town. No view of each room in the hotel. Checked in this hotel several times. But the breakfast was average and a bit expensive. Less than 5km away from the hotel, there is a small shopping mall with Thai food and delicious. There is a supermarket. Don't worry about eating. There is also Chinese food nearby, but it is hard to find. A little bit far. Of course the room did not say clean, the windows are two-story soundproofing. A row of rooms near the highway. The scenery is better.

Their SADC local rate made it affordable for us and the 2 nights were an absolute pleasure. The staff were outstanding and the extra treats that were provided made my wife's birthday a truly memorable occasion. A morning spent in the Spa and High Tea in the afternoon were without a doubt an experience to be treasured, thanks to Emma who served us our tea. Breakfast was a culinary delight with all tastes catered for. I can find no fault with our stay there and can only recommend your hotel to anyone wanting to have a memorable stay.

For me this hotel is 10 stars its staff, its manager welcomed me with open arms and I feel like family. soon I will return to my beautiful country Colombia. So if you want to stay in a wonderful place, with affordable pressure for any type of client: business, couple, family or just this is the ideal place. ahhh and its location the best is close to the mine where you can exercise, ride a bike, also on its first floor you will find a variety of restaurants. rather this hotel is a gem in the heart of Cape Town.       We had a great stay at New Kings, which is conveniently located in central Sea Point. The location is perfect and our double room had a lovely sea view. The room was really spacious, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. It came with a tea/coffee station fridge (with bottled water) and a microwave. There was a separate toilet room and a very roomy shower area with fluffy white towels and dressing gowns. Our highlight were the very friendly team who were always smiling and available to help. They provided extras that we needed in our room, as well as helping to print out documents we needed for travel. The neighbourhood can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected if you want to be close to lots of lovely restaurants, markets, bars etc. I think the hotel has done a very good job of sound proofing and even as a light sleeper, I didn't have any problems getting a good night's rest.

      First time I stayed at Ashby Manor they gave me a quote for 30 days then added to it when I arrived saying I need to pay for 3 additional days to make it 30 days (even though the quote clearly stated (30 days and the total as seen on booking.com). They did say they price matched when I showed up I paid it anyways and when I later showed Liesle proof they still did not refund any of the added money...disgusting but I still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and brought people over even bought wine from them to support local business. My roof leaked and one night while I was lying in bed watching a movie on my laptop rain was dripping all over my bed. They changed my room for the night and helped me move then told me to move back the next day and nobody assisted at all. Wifi was horrible and they kept promising to fix it the next day then next week. HAd useless wifi for the entire 30days. (Has since been fixed) Second time around when I mentioned certain guests smoking indoors and playing loud music I was told by Liesle (I don't work at night address the guest and ask them to stop doing that) Seriously??? Spoke to the owner who offered me a bottle of wine I never asked for yet never received it which I 100 percent expected. Zero service. All talk zero action. To top it off a painting which I said looked unstable fell on my head while in bed. Again very underwhelming responds. Also first time around only guest they saw as friends were allowed access to the kitchen which I questioned then got some access and this time around everybody was allowed access from 8am to 2pm and "friends" all access

The mobile phone network in the hotel is not good and you can only buy WiFi traffic. Expensive. In the current state of South Africa hotels, four-star hotels have basically free WiFi. And here, 500mb, 100 MYR is valid for 24 hours Arrive at the store about an hour in advance. Obviously there is a room, but the front desk does not give it. You have to wait until 14 o'clock to check in or pay half-day room rate. Parking fee In Cape Town, where there is almost no public transport, everyone has cars. The hotel parking fee is 100 MYR per day, of course, voluntary. Otherwise, you can park at the free parking lot at the corner. (Worry around the law and order) Breakfast is around 180 MYR per person. Do not understand the quality Staff are friendly. The front desk guy is a bit like star Ibrahimovic

      We cannot stress enough how great this hotel is and would highly recommand to everyone looking for some pampering. Although the location is great (right at the beach and walking distance from restaurants and Clifton), breakfast amazing and the design of the hotel stunning, the real gem here is the staff. They did their utmost best to ensure a great stay: from the breakfast staff to people at the desk, they facilitated everything. Everyday water, sunscreen, umbrella, etc for the beach, we could stay the entire day at the hotel even when checked out, we got rose peddles, a sweet note and alcohol free champagn on our room to celebrate a nice event for us and we forgot shoes and a jacket, which they will send to our home in Amsterdam. Absolutely one of the best hotels we stayed in - highly recommend.

      My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Pepperclub hotel. From booking the reservation, our arrival, the spa experience at the Cayenne Spa and all round service of the staff was fantastic. We booked a Superior Deluxe suite facing Loop street. I was concerned about the noise from nearby clubs from reading the reviews of other guests, we however, did not have this issue. Fantastic experience, will definitely be back.
