3.99km from Cumhuriyet CadWife and I spent two nights while on a ten day whirlwind trip thru Europe. Wanted something small, unique & close to SAW airport. Very reasonably priced. Shower drain and faucet did not work in first room. After several minutes of not being able to fix the situation, we were moved to another room which would be considered a slight upgrade. Arrived very late at night. Quick check-in. Asked the Front Desk “associate” for places to eat after 10:00 pm, and the adventure began. We didn’t speak Turkish nor the staff speak a bit a English. Not an issue. Between licks of English, Spanish, Turkish and many arm and hand gestures, we were directed to a local kebab spot. The free breakfast was comprised of the European fare of cold cuts, cheeses, yogurts and cereals. Adequate enough. Close to train station and walking distance to plenty of shopping and dining. We and the staff traded Cuban cigars, candy, coffee and tea during our short stay. Very pleasant experience. Ultra friendly staff. Safe neighborhood. Would go back.
