The beds were comfy. Room was just right. The clerk at the desk was less than friendly. The breakfast area was the problem. There was NO lighting. Luckily I carry a small flash light. You would think they could put a lamp over by the hot items to avoid injuries. Very disappointed!

I had never even been to Lincoln before when I booked a room here for the night of August 1st, 2022. The hotel is not easy to find, and by the time I did the sun had already set. Pulling into the dark parking lot, I was more than a little concerned about the people hanging out around some of the cars in the lot, playing loud music and hollering to one another. Not good. Upon walking into the lobby, a young man in dread locks and a dirty T-shirt approached from a back room. ”Checking in?” he asked. Yes, I told him, I had a reservation. So then he plops down a sheet of paper on the counter in front of me and says, ”Just sign here,” pointing, ”and I'll need a credit card for incidentals.” Please note that I had already used a debit card to reserve the room, so why would he need it again for 'incidentals'? I smelled a scam, but instead of pointing this out simply told him that I wouldn't be needing any incidentals. The sullen stare I got in return told me to get the hell outta there. ”Is it too late to cancel my reservation?” I asked. ”No, it's not too late,” the guy replied. ”Thank you,” I said, and immediately left. The next day I checked my bank statement and, sure enough, the guy had lied to me and gone ahead and charged me nearly $100 for the room. Repeated phone calls to the manager at the New Victorian went unanswered. Obviously the good reviews you see here and elsewhere are entirely bogus. Don't believe them like I did and steer clear of this place if you know what's good for you.

I was booked here by my company for separate stays about a week in duration each time. This place is so consistently inconsistent I can’t even explain it. One room- no ironing board and the iron looked as if someone cooked a steak on it. I would have simply asked for the board but most of the FD staff really give off the impression that they just don’t want to be bothered. Next stay- had an ironing board but not a working fridge. Nightly trips to the ice machine was fun for a week. Lights in the bathroom kept going off- but if you tap it just right you’ll get about 10 minutes of light before it shorts out again. Walls near the tub are soft (or damaged terribly) from water. A few consistent things; there’s no exhaust vent in the bathroom so it’s a shower and room sauna combo. Not a big deal, but certainly annoying. Each of my three beds have sank so bad you wake wishing you had time to set a chiropractor appointment. First floor rooms smell like mold and mildew horribly. All the shower handles have been so lose you tread very carefully turning it on and off so it doesn’t fall right off. Same with the towel bar (wiggle, wiggle, whoops!) There are literally cameras everywhere and in some spots I’ve seen two (one right next to each other) not to mention the moving robot style one right above the desk when you check in. Not sure yet if these actually makes me feel safer - or more worried. The upside and plus-side is that the rooms (each one I’ve had) has been clean. The housekeeping crew is apparently dedicated so for that I’m thankful. Honestly, shame on Choice Hotels for this one. Things (yes, there’s more) have just been blatantly ignored, let go, added up and none of this was an instant overnight process. The bad news is - that becomes the guest’s problem. The fellow reviews are telling you the same… so just don’t. If I had a choice I wouldn’t have either.

We arrived around 10 pm after traveling for 16 hours. Just really needed a cool room and clean bed, and we got neither of those things. The AC was broken, and the room was at least 85 degrees all night. The front desk person did nothing to remedy expect to tell me to call the manager and ask for money back. When I pulled back the comforter to get into bed, the sheets were stained. Yuck. We were so happy when the alarm went off and we could get out of there. This hotel is nasty and whoever is saying it’s kid friendly, it’s absolutely not. Don’t waste your money, there’s nicer hotels in the same area.

This motel is the half-way point between Colorado and Denver for us, and right off the highway...within my (frugal) budget. Older reviews gave me pause, but noticing the newer ones, I booked for our trip out, and back. I'm sitting in the breakfast room, writing my very first ever review for a hotel. Despite being near an airport, we didn't hear a thing. Thinking about it, a smaller airport, it likely didn't have many if any middle of the night flights. We also had a room on the South (front) side away from the airport. Also, the AC unit set on fan in our room was great white noise. The room was very clean, bed comfortable (although on the harder side for those who like soft) and the manager I met in the morning, Neil, was a really friendly guy, who was really accommodating when I wanted to hang out on my laptop a little later in the breakfast room to let my husband sleep. The manager on duty last night even suggested we might want a room on the side where our car was parked with a motorcycle trailer under bright lights (in front, not the airport side). Very thoughtful! I'm looking forward to our return trip on the way back.

CLEAN. Cordial staff is attentive, present and on the job, housekeeping does exceptional work. Newer building, serving cellophane wrapped food..so guests line up for the waffle machines. Coffee needs replenishing often, in part because of staff, in part because guests fill up tanker size travel containers. Hotel full with active air force (housing flooded. All those military camo pockets hold a lot of cellophane food for young bodies, and don't get in their way ! ), youth sports travel teams, UNL graduation and a birthday party ! ( Housekeeping kept common areas immaculate.) A light sleeper would have a problem on any but the top floor which was not available to us. I'm a sound sleeper but the construction amplifies any sound. The nervous late night pacer above me might as well have had heavy boots on and wakened again as their cooler was filled for an early out. ( It really is the construction and lack of any sound isolation). 3 elevators. Clean outside patio. 15 min to hay market, UNL. McD and little else nearby.

Check in was quick and easy. The room appeared clean. The bathtub was speckled with dark rusty spots. Bedding appeared white until the linens were pulled down and they were soiled. Popcorn in between the mattresses. Debris in dresser drawers, corners, behind the toilet. We were only given one set of towels. Had to ask for more towels (the reservation was for two adults), and they bought us one more towel. (No additional wash cloths or hand towels,) and weren't exceedingly friendly about it.. they have been remodeling for awhile now, but it doesn't take a lot of $ to clean and even less for adequate quality control attempts. .

Long story on finding this place, it's a bit off of I88, but we liked it so much on trip going to Denver, we reserved it for our trip back from Denver. Clean, bed was comfortable, and there's an IHOP very near! Hadn't had IHOP in decades and it was really good. We'd learned to request rooms away from pets and they were very accomodating.

The Quality Inn in Lincoln NE on Husker Dr was very comfortable. The bed was soft but with very good support. It was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good with waffles and biscuits with sausage gravy, cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. They have a good sized indoor pool, guest laundromat, fitness room. Next door is a new Perkins restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

We were in town for a college visit. The hotel is located within steps of the the University so the location was perfect. We are a family of five , so the suite room fit us perfectly. The lobby is easy to understand and get around in. You can valet park for a fee or there is self parking up the street for a lot less (we weren't even charged for one day of the parking, have no idea why!). The hotel has the usual open area in the middle and although the noise didn't bother is, while we were in the room, I can see where others would be bothered. As I said, the room was a perfect fit. the bathroom was a bit dated, but it did its job. Buffet breakfast was perfect in the morning for everyone and the light snacks served a dinner time were nice as well. There is a pool and gym but we didn't have time for either on this trip. We will definitely be back. One other note, they like a lot of places have lack of staff issues, which was very apparent at the restaurant. I'm sure as time passes this will work itself out.

The location is good, the east side is the expressway, the traffic lights and bridges enter the Lincoln campus and the stadium; the west side is the casual bar-like old district, which seems to be the most lively place in Lincoln. The hotel's free WIFI clicks are connected, unlike some hotels (such as the Ambassador Hotel that lived for a while), it is annoying to join the membership and log in again every day. There are quite a few Chinese restaurants in a kilometer. At least I have been to 4 or 5 restaurants. Of course, Indian and Mexican restaurants are also good. The rooms are relatively large, and the sanitation, facilities and services are all at the Marriott level. Recommended for latecomers

We arrived here late at night. The front desk lady showed us our room prior to staying and we were pleased to find it very nice and clean, with a king bed, and hardwood floors. The pictures on their website are accurate. They have two separate buildings, with our room being in the smaller building. The property was well kept and in a safe area, off the interstate, with easy access. Breakfast was simple with cereal, yogurt, danish pastries, but adequate. The front desk, break room, and our room were all posted with social distancing and sanitation signs for covid-19, along with hand sanitizer in the lobby and break room area. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. A big thank you to the staff for providing a good place to rest comfortably and for a decent price.
