      We stayed one night in Oct 2021 for my son's hockey game. While the overall appearance of the hotel was nice and updated with a decent size room, the beds (mine in particular) was horrible! As soon as I sat on the bed I could tell it was sagging and was going to unkind to my back. Within about 30 min trying to sleep my back was aching I had to set up on the freezing cold floor. There were no extra blankets anywhere in the room so I had to use coats and sweaters for my bedding. I even considered sleeping in my car! My son woke up on the same bed in the morning with complaints of body aches all over (so it wasn't just middle age!). I told the front desk about it and they didn't seem to care much about my feedback. After a rough night, I was looking forward to a morning cup of tea, but no kettle or tea in the room (just Nespresso coffee, which is nice if you're a coffee drinker). I asked the front desk for a kettle and they said they were all out in rooms already! So, no tea! They said I could order tea from the restaurant (at my expense... not a big deal, but after the horrible night it would have been nice if they offered to send some up for me!). While the location of this hotel is great, I won't be in a hurry to stay at Bayside again.

      We just got to spend one night in the Coast Parksville Hotel and absolutely loved it! The lovely Ailene at the reception made us feel welcome right away, check in was fast and uncomplicated. Our room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed - from shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom to a little Keurig coffee maker beside the TV. The hotel has a cute lounge with a coffee maker that makes everything from hot chocolate to french vanilla coffee (available 24/7 and completely FREE OF CHARGE!!), there's board games, a big screen TV and E-Scooters that can be rented for a small price! Thank you for a great night's sleep (you hear nothing from your neighbours, the hotel is super quiet, even though it was booked solid!!) We are definitely coming back, this place makes you want to stay longer and see more of beautiful Parksville.

      Stayed in a 1-bed ocean front suite for 3 nights early April. Was given a corner room on 3rd floor. WOW. Spotless with everything in the kitchen you could possibly need if you cook for yourself (which we do), including paper towel, dish cloths, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Suite has 1 1/2 bathrooms with a soaker tub and large walk in shower. Washer and dryer with laundry soap. Towels and bedding very clean and white. And the view is spectacular from living room and bedroom. No complaints. If you require anything front desk gets it to you ASAP. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Didn't eat in the restaurant so cannot comment. Did use pool area. Clean and pool was comfortable temperature (we don't like cold pool water). Enjoyed it so much we went back following week for 4 nights and this time we were on 4th floor, corner room on opposite end. No complaints! Spent hours watching the ocean, birds, ducks, geese and eagles, not to mention the dogs being walked along boardwalk - which is between resort and beach. Thank you to Beach Club staff for having a smiling, welcoming hello when you see guests walking around and for being so pleasant on the phone. Looking forward to another visit sometime.

      We were delighted with this motel. Beds were comfortable and the room felt spacious. Very clean. Staff were very kind and caring. We had to cut our trip short due to an ill relative. We forgot our Iphone charger. Without any extra charge ( only the cost of mailing the package) they sent us the charger. Thanks so much for your kindness.
