|0.27km from city centerThe hotel is newer. We live in a two-bedroom, one-bedroom room with a bathroom and a kitchen. However, the two-room room has only one room and the living room has an outside balcony. The living room in other rooms has a window but only faces the room opposite the patio. Not to mention the scenery, it is difficult to see the sun - the only window in each bedroom is facing the living room, there is no outside window. Therefore, if you are not like the elderly and children who are not fluent in language, you must live in a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen apartment, or choose a room with a room, the new hotel, the decoration is novel, the location is walking distance from the center. It takes about 20 minutes but it is still recommended. Although there is no kitchen in the room type, it seems to be on the second floor (the elevator in the hotel is displayed on the 5th floor and the front desk is on the 4th floor). There is a public kitchen next to the pool. I have not tried it. I always see a lot of foreign men in use. You can consult the hotel before booking. The hotel has two Mercedes-Benz smart rentals, which seems to be 60 Australian dollars a day. If two people travel, it is convenient to rent a car to the surrounding area. It is very expensive to park in the city center, and it is more cost-effective to walk and rent.

|0.62km from city centerMy experience at this hotel was very traumatic. Extremely Racist staff. Firstly the man didn’t allow us to use the washing machine. Then he walked strait into the room we were renting and spoke to my kids and said no noise allowed, at 10am in the morning. When confronted about children and how play can be fun and noisy he told us to go be quiet or leave. This hotel does not like Aboriginal people. It was very obvious with comments made and the bullying experienced by us. Other people in the hotel with children do not experience this bullying by the owner. When I phoned the day before we arrived he said we have washing powder you and that we do not need to bring any. We arrived and he took one look at us and said oh you will have to go buy your own washing powder. Today we experienced my special needs son be discriminated against. I attempted to provide an awareness of why my special needs son required additional support and from time to time it can challenging. The owner simply snarled and said what ever. This is the level of unprofessional consumer service you will get staying here. When my sister suggested with the the owner that she would contact the obbudsman and human rights commission the man simple laughed and snickled oh bring it on. Mind you this was all because my children were playing inside our rented hotel room at 10am in the morning. Very unprofessional, very arrogant, this hotel does not apply code of ethics for the consumers at all. He is a bully that likes to take accomodation funding for families needing to access the close by hospital. Very rude and very racist. This hotel is a human rights commission complaint waiting to happen. The owner was quick to apply for the hospital funding three days ago when we need some close to the hospital to stay , so that we could be close to our daughter in hospital, how ever once the hotel receives the accomodation allowance from QLD Health , the owner then bullies and harasses consumers. The owner actually physically pushed the door open and walked into our hotel room and raised his voice at my children whilst I was in the back of the hotel room doing some thing. The owners resolution and method of communication is arrogant and undermines any ethical or professional manner of resolving maters. Why accept children and a mother to a hotel then when we arrive he gives us a one queen size bedroom that mum and 3 children have to sleep in together. So many flaws in this hotel. So illegal.

|0.68km from city centerWe stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

|0.25km from city centerThe environment is good, the boss planted a lot of green plants in the courtyard, very ingenuity. The surrounding area is quiet and on-street parking is also convenient. There is a kitchen where you can buy your own ingredients to make three meals. 10 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes walk to the big supermarket, very convenient. The only downside is that the room door lock sounds crisp, but fortunately the quality of the accommodation staff is very high, pay attention to light closing, no feeling noisy.

|0.47km from city centerStayed for 15 days across 3 different rooms. Aged rooms with plumbing smells in bathroom, non-functional appliances (broken dryer, then microwave, then TV) and our final room was next to a broken bin shoot which meant dinner was eating by the smell of humid warm rubbish. We checked out early due to Covid lock down and was told we would be refunded the leftover days only to be told the following day it would only be one. The justification being it was 12 minutes past check out even though we were made to wait at reception. Would recommend Mantra on Edward, Meriton Hershel for the same price range and a more comfortable stay.

|0.41km from city centerThe wife & I had to stay in Brisbane for eight days, and checking out the first six reviews, we decided to stay at the Astor Apartments for $936 + $200 holding fee released after we left.
Very spacious but quite old. TV is small, which does not matter because the couches are so uncomfortable; one cannot sit on them long enough to watch anything pillows helped. Large kitchen with outdated appliances. Oven, microwave, dishwasher. Large fridge Very dated bathroom. The toilet seat is so old; it looks permanently stained. The bathroom sink tap was loose, the toilet roll holder also just hanging on, handles were fulling off draws. Air conditioning/ heating not working unit not clean the place cold. I talked to management; they told us the air conditioners/heaters have not worked for a long time and gave us a small heater, found a fan in the bedroom cupboard, and later found a second heater and an old VCR. A large balcony with views over the city is great because you will be awake very early, no blackout curtains, and the curtains don't cover all of the enormous windows. Glass is relatively thin, so night noises and all-night street cleaners also people screaming can be heard. Washing machine, dryer, clothes airer, provided can not close the door when using the dryer which took a long time to dry one's clothes. A lumpy bed with no bed head and only one PowerPoint by the bed went out and purchased underlay so we could sleep. Proper cleaning is required. Quite dusty in the vents, behind the bed & window ledges, the wife stood on Glass in the bedroom vacuum cleaner had no bag and did not work so spoke to management about Glass they did not seem to care asked for a vac that worked one was delivered so vacuumed the place window. Sheets were too short for the bed; my feet got tangled in under the blanket; when I asked management, they told me that this happens in a lot of places and that they have travelled all over the world, and this practice was normal and acceptable got extra sheets of them so I could fix the problem. We would have left the next day but because of an operation and was not very mobile stayed put for the duration, saying that we would never stay there again and advise others to check out other places.

|0.33km from city centerI have stayed in other motels in the area, often because the Metropolitan was fully booked. It is a short walk to town, mostly down hill, and if I wanted to bring shopping back, can get a taxi from the city center for less than $10. I have stayed here when seeing a specialist on Wickham Terrace. Not the purpose of this trip but it is an option if that is the reason to be in Spring Hill. Parking is not guaranteed, but I never had a problem finding space. the staff are courteous and the rooms clean. Currently the restaurant is not a going concern, obvious hard to do business in lockdown(s), but there is a little cafe across the road offering Vietnamese soups and western fare. If looking for place to stay in Spring Hill. Metropolitan is excellent choice on a budget.

|0.68km from city centerA very comfortable hotel, not luxurious but very delicate and clean. recommend! It's across a small park from the city hall and it takes less than ten minutes to walk there. The location is very good and it's quiet to sleep in. If your English is not good, you can still communicate by email. You can pick up the keys by yourself. It is very simple. If you arrive at the store after 8pm, you need to contact them by email and give them your passport and credit card photos. They will help you check in in advance. They can rent it for more than 50 Australian dollars at the airport. Walk up a small corridor. There is a small iron box on the wall next to the door. Enter the password and you can get the key. There is a free bus at the door, but it is not needed at all. It is not far from any scenic spots. There are also free boats in this city. At night You can watch the night view, walk around the river, and stop at various places on both sides. On Monday morning, you can see trucks providing food, laundry, and bathing for homeless people at the door. Four times a week, you can also see this kind of charity in the park down the slope at night. Activity is another organization!

|0.46km from city centerIt is in the center of the city close to Central Station, so it is easy to use public transportation, and it is very convenient because it is close to the library, museum, attractions, and markets. The room is clean, but it's a pity that the kitchen and cooking utensils are not well maintained. The staff, who seem to be mostly working holiday makers, were very friendly.

|0.32km from city centerVery happy with this hotel. It is located about 6-8 minutes' walk from Central station where the Airtrain stops and many other regional trains stop as well. Also striking distance from the CBD with many dining options during the day, though the area becomes quite quiet come 7pm or so. Room is clean, of a decent size.
Breakfast, which I believe is included in most rates, is also fairly good, with at least 3 hot dishes on rotation and the usual continental breakfast options (the croissants they procure are really good!) Recommended if you get a decent rare (A$160-180 is a good rate).

|0.66km from city centerI stayed here for four nights, check in was easy, the staff were lovely, the view of the city skyline was lovely and the price was good considering how close I was to the city . I needed to be close to the my University campus which was only a quick walk down the hill. The train and small Woolworths were also very close walking distance as were plenty of good coffee places. the bathroom was recently renovated and clean and there were notices up saying they were doing ongoing renovations so hopefully this improves some of the downsides I experienced. The downsides of this place include, the two pillows were very flat, however as it was just me I used both. The carpet inside my room was very stained with what looked like pink/maroon-ish coloured paint or something. the bedside tables were dusty and in need of a wipe down. The restaurant which I only ventured into once was not good. I ordered vegetarian nachos which were terrible and barely any sauce and no sour cream the waitress only told me they had run out of sour cream after waiting ages and then being presented with them at which time I was offered tomato sauce as an alternative they cost about $17. I ate them only because I was exhausted and couldn't be bothered doing anything about it. The glass doors to the balcony were also very dirty and...More
